Swami protege a todos en su camino divino.


Shri. Narasimhamoorthy, ex alcaide del Sri Sathya Sai Hostel para niños en Brindavan, ha sido un devoto de Baba por muchos muchos años. Relata una experiencia maravillosa a continuación:

En 1999, Swami, a su regreso de Brindavan a Prashanti Nilayam el 12 de diciembre de ese año, había anunciado a los estudiantes que los encuentro deportivos no debían ser celebrados ese año. El anunció lo mismo, en Brindavan antes de llegar a Prashanti Nilayam. Los estudiantes no escucharon y oraron fervientemente por los Encuentros Deportivos, que a su juicio era la única oportunidad de hacer algo por Swami y dedicárselo a él. A pesar de que Swami había ordenado que la fiesta de deportes no seria realizada, una notificación de la oficina del Vice-Canciller para este efecto había sido  publicada ya, los estudiantes todavía persistían con sus prácticas habituales, con la esperanza de que de alguna manera Swami la considerara. Muchos días pasaron con los estudiantes rezando mucho en la mente y también enviando saludos y peticiones a Swami para revertir su orden de no realizar la fiesta deportiva. Swami no tomó ninguno de ellos. Algunos saludos fueron enviados de regreso al albergue con el mensaje de Swami de no plantear el tema de nuevo. Pero los estudiantes todavía persistían .... Swami después estuvo de acuerdo.

El día 14 de enero todos los estudiantes, incluso hoy en día esperan mostrar ante Swami todo lo que habían practicado durante 45 días.

Swami en caravana llegó con Baba sentado en un asiento con una cubierta de acero. Cuando la caravana de Swami llegó al sector femenino, el coche de Swami s se detuvo por un momento y Swami se puso de pie para saludar a la gente reunida. Mientras estaba saludando a la multitud, el coche de Baba se movió un poco hacia el frente. Baba perdió el equilibrio y cayó hacia atrás en el asiento de acero. Las manos de Swami, la médula espinal y la cabeza chocaron contra la cubierta de acero, y se escucho un estruendo al golpear.

Baba se sentó en su asiento en esa posición durante unos momentos. Todos los presentes se quedaron atónitos.

¿Swami estaba herido? ..... Si eso hubiera ocurrido en realidad, todos los estudiantes nunca sería capaces de perdonarse a sí mismos porque era su petición persistente que esta Reunión de Deportes cancelados, fuera restablecida. Pero nunca nadie lo hubiese querido a costa de que el querido Señor se lastimara? Eso seguramente seria inaceptable .. para todo el mundo.

Unos momentos más tarde Baba se alivio, se levantó y comenzó a agitar a todos de nuevo. El coche se detuvo y el Vice - Canciller recibió a Baba, quien se bajó y acepto las ofrendas florales. Baba caminó sin problemas aparentes por la rampa y ocupó su asiento.

El programa comenzó como estaba previsto con los niños de las escuelas primarias que realizan su presentación en primer lugar, nuestras hermanas de Anantapur continuaron seguidas por los hermanos de Brindavan y Prasanthi Nilayam.

Después de cada actuación Baba descendía por la rampa y se prestaba para las fotografías de grupo y subía por la rampa de nuevo. Después del programa, Baba salió saludando a todo el mundo diciendo que era inmensamente feliz.

Cuando Baba se fue al Mandir de Prashanti, llegaron noticias a los estudiantes que Baba estaba dando fotografías de grupo. Todos los estudiantes acudieron al Mandir esperando llegar a tiempo antes de que Baba volviera a entrar en su apartamento. Cuando Baba salió de la sala de entrevista con el Sr. Indulal Shah (Jefe coordinador de las Organizaciones Sri Satya Sai de Servicio), el Sr. Srinivasan (miembros del fideicomiso central) y otros, bendijo a cada uno, le dio unas fotografías de grupo a todos y dejó el darshan .

Dos días más tarde, antes de que los estudiantes del Campus Brinadavan nos fuésemos,  Shri. Narasimhamoorthy fue llamado para una entrevista. Durante la entrevista, se dio cuenta de los vendajes en la mano de Swami y gritó: "Swami, ¿Qué es esto?" Baba dejó de lado su pregunta, pero al ser insistente, Baba le reveló la verdad, que cuando fue anunciada por Shri. Narasimhamoorthy al día siguiente, sorprendió a todos.

Los siguientes son los extractos del discurso pronunciado por Shri. Narasimhamoorthy, que lloraba continuamente mientras daba su discurso:

Cuando Baba estaba hablando con el señor Indulal Shah, el Sr. Srinivasan y otros en la sala de entrevistas, el Sr. Indulal Shah noto sangre que salia de la manga de Baba.  Indulal Shah sorprendido se levantó para preguntar a Baba al respecto, pero fue detenido por Baba, quien dijo: "No le digas a nadie sobre  esto. Los niños se asustan". 

Baba dijo más tarde a Mr. Indulal Shah, Srinivasan y el Sr. Shri. Narasimhamoorthy que el año 1999 fue el año de Pramadi (un año de tormentos). Uno de los niños que realizaría una maniobra peligrosa, iba a caer de mucha altura ese mismo día. Baba lo sabía desde el principio y quiso evitarlo, por eso ordenó que la fiesta de los deportes no se llevarse a cabo.

Más tarde, en el siguiente discurso de Shri. Narasimhamoorthy,  Baba dijo- "No estaban dispuestos a escucharme, todos ustedes estaban orando con tanta fuerza. Incluso después de que varias veces dije que no, seguían adelante con el programa, como era tan insistentes, entonces yo no tenía otra alternativa que dejar que se realiza. Pero no había manera de que pudiera dejar que mis propios hijos se hagan daño. Así que traslade su efecto Kármico en mí. Puedo soportarlo, pero ellos no pueden. Si él hubiera caído desde esa altura, sus manos se habría roto en el suelo,  la médula espinal se habría separado, y roto la cabeza con exposición del cerebro . Cuando Baba cayó sobre la cubierta de acero, las manos de Baba, la médula espinal y la cabeza chocaron contra ella. Esa fue mi manera de tomar posesión de su lesión ". 

Baba comenzó a sangrar profusamente. Su espalda estaba empapada en sangre. Su cabeza también había sido herida. Pero Baba quiso que nadie supiera de esto. Baba cubrió con su Maya la visibilidad de la sangre de los VIP entre los que Baba estaba sentado. Durante cinco horas Baba llevo el calvario, soportando el dolor punzante, dio las fotografías de grupo y subió las escaleras de nuevo. Incluso cuando la túnica de Baba se mojo debido a la sangre que salia continuamente, Baba entró en el retrete temporal y se lavó la sangre de la túnica. Sabiendo muy bien que si el estudiante, quien asistía a Baba aquel día viera las manchas de sangre en la toalla de baño y el piso,  se alarmaría,  incluso lavo la toalla que había usado con jabón y también barrió el piso.

Durante 3 días Baba llevo las lesiones. Nadie supo de esto hasta que Shri. Narasimhamoorthy se le permitió contarlo en el curso de su discurso. Shri. Narasimhamoorthy llorando genero lágrimas en los ojos de todos.

Más tarde, cuando cada estudiante se disculpó, Swami maravillosamente dijo: "¿Protegerlos es mi responsabilidad ra (ra es una palabra de uso frecuente en telugu hacia un ser querido). Ustedes son mis hijos. ¿No puedo abandonarlos ?"

Shri. Narasimhamoorthy, Former Warden of Sri Sathya Sai Hostel for boys in Brindavan has been a devotee of Baba for many many years. He relates a wonderful Experience given below :

In 1999, Swami on his return from Brindavan to Prasanthi Nilayam on 12th December that year had announced to the students that the Sports Meet should not be held that year. He announced the same at Brindavan too before coming to Prasanthi Nilayam. Students did not listen and prayed very fervently for the Sports Meet, which they felt was the only opportunity to do something for Swami and dedicate it to him. Even though Swami had ordered the sports meet not to be held and a notification from the Vice-Chancellor's office to this effect had already been issued, students still persisted with their regular practices hoping that Swami would somehow still agree. Many days passed this way with students praying hard within the mind and also sending greetings and requests to Swami to take back his order of not holding the sports meet. Swami took none of them. Some greetings were sent back to hostel with Swami's message of not raising the issue again. But students still persisted....Swami later agreed.

The Day, January 14th which every student even today looks forward to arrived and the students arrayed themselves to display before Swami all they had practiced for 45 days.

Swami caravan arrived with Baba seated on a seat with a steel covering. As Swami's caravan reached the ladies section, Swami 's car halted for a while and Swami stood up to wave to the people assembled. As he stood waving to the crowd, Baba's car moved a little bit to the front. Baba lost his balance and fell back on the steel covered seat. Swami's hands, spinal cord and head rammed against the steel covering which sent shock waves amongst everyone.

Baba sat on his seat in that position for a few moments. Everyone Present were stunned .

Did Swami get hurt?.....If that had really happened, every Student would never be able to forgive themselves for it was their persistent request that this cancelled Sports Meet was revived. But no one ever wanted it at the cost of everyone's Dear Lord getting hurt? That surely was unacceptable .. to anyone and everyone .

A few moments later to everyone's relief Baba got up and started waving to everyone again. The car stopped and the Vice - Chancellor received Baba, who got down and accepted the floral tributes. Baba walked without any apparent problems on the ramp and occupied his seat.

The program commenced as scheduled with the primary school children performing first, our sisters of Anantapur next followed by the brothers of Brindavan and Prasanthi Nilayam.

After each performance Baba came down the ramp and gave group photographs and climbed up the ramp again. After the program, Baba left waving to everyone saying he was immensely happy.

As Baba went away to the Prasanthi Mandir, news reached the students that Baba was giving group photographs. All students rushed to the mandir expecting to be in time before Baba went back into his apartment. As Baba came out of the interview room with Mr. Indulal Shah (Chief convener of Sri Satya Sai Seva Organisations ), Mr. Srinivasan (central trust members) and others, He blessed everyone , gave group photographs to a everyone and left the Prashanthi darshan hall.

Two days later, before the students of the Brinadavan Campus were leaving ,Shri. Narasimhamoorthy was called in for an interview. During the interview, he noticed bandages on Swami's hand and cried out "Swami, What is this?" Baba brushed aside his question but on being persistently being asked, Baba revealed the truth, which when announced by Shri. Narasimhamoorthy the next day stunned everyone.

The following are the excerpts of the speech delivered by Shri. Narasimhamoorthy, who was crying continuously as he gave his speech:

As Baba was speaking to Mr. Indulal Shah, Mr. Srinivasan and others in the interview room, Mr. Indulal Shah noticed blood oozing out of Baba's sleeve. A shocked Indulal Shah got up to ask Baba about it, but was quitened by Baba who said "Don't tell anydody about this outside. The children will get scared."

Baba later told Mr. Indulal Shah, Mr. Srinivasan and Shri. Narasimhamoorthy that the year 1999 was the year of Pramadi (an year of torments) .One of the boys performing a dangerous stunt was going to fall from a height that very day. Baba knew this right from the start and to avoid this ordered the sports meet not be conducted, which as readers know was not adhered to.

Later Baba disclosed in the discourse following Shri. Narasimhamoorthy's speech that -- "You were not ready to listen to me. You all were praying so hard. Even after repeatedly telling you not to go ahead with the program, when you were so insistent, then I had no other alternative but to let you perform. But there was no way I could let my own children get hurt. So I transferred his Karmic effect on me. I can bear it but you cannot. If he would have fell from that height, his hands would have smashed on the ground , his spinal cord would have split and head smashed to pulp. When Baba fell on the steel casing , Baba's hands, spinal cord and head rammed against it. That was my way of taking up his injury").

Baba started bleeding profusely. His back was soaked in blood. His head too had been hit. But Baba let no one know of this. Baba's maya covered the visibility of blood from the scores of VIP's between whom Baba was sitting. For five hours Baba bore the ordeal. Inspite of the piercing pain Baba came down to give group photographs and climbed the stairs again. Even when Baba's robe became wet due to blood coming out continuously, Baba went into the temporary toilet and washed the blood off the robe. Knowing fully well that, if the student, who was attending to Baba that day saw the blood stains on the towel and the make -shift toilet floor, would get alarmed Baba even washed the towel he had used with soap and also swept the floor.

For 3 days Baba bore the injuries. No one knew of this until Shri. Narasimhamoorthy was allowed to tell it in course of his speech. Shri. Narasimhamoorthy cried and tears were in everyone's Eyes.

Later when every Student apologised, Swami wonderfully said "Are, Protecting you is my responsibility ra (ra is a word frequently used in telugu towards someone you love). You are my children. Can I ever let you high and dry?"
