“Sin el tipo de amor que Swami tiene, no podemos mover nada en este mundo, no podemos cambiar una pieza en este mundo, y no podemos transformar a una persona en este mundo”.
Tengo que compartir lo que sucedió recientemente porque es extremadamente importante. Y aprendí una gran lección en la misión de Swami. Tengo dos partes en mi trabajo. La mayoría de la gente sabe que estoy con Swami y cuando viene, hace cosas y habla; sólo hago lo que me pide. Pero está la otra parte. También me involucro en las actividades cotidianas del Fideicomiso, especialmente en Educación, que es muy querido para mí. Los niños me son queridos. Para mí, cuando Swami está haciendo tanto, Él está trabajando incesantemente, por lo que mis expectativas de resultados son naturales. ¿No es así? Así es como he sido educado. Debería haber resultados finales en cualquier acción. Uno simplemente no puede hacer cosas y que al final no hayan resultados.
En una de las instituciones, los estudiantes se desviaron de la disciplina. Y esto vino al conocimiento de Swami y Él estaba “aparentemente” molesto. Luego se distanció de todo el grupo de estudiantes durante bastante tiempo. Viajaba a todas las instituciones, volando a través visitando nuevos campus, pero justo al lado; Él no quería ir y se estaba conteniendo. Obviamente, los niños estaban rezando mucho. El escuchaba, reconocía, pero no estaba listo para ir allí. El Juego Divino continuó durante aproximadamente seis meses. En una institución como esta, donde Swami esta disponible para los estudiantes tan a menudo; no tener acceso a Él es realmente doloroso. Los estudiantes se avergonzaron también, porque todos sabían que ellos eran los culpables, que hicieron algo que causó que Swami se alejara. Me involucré mentalmente. Sentí que no era correcto por parte de los niños comportarse así cuando Swami está haciendo tanto y más, ¡Él también nos está haciendo hacer tanto! No quería que estos esfuerzos se desperdiciaran. Debemos entregarnos. Debemos evidenciar el cambio en nosotros. Debemos comportarnos de acuerdo con los requerimientos y expectativas de Swami. Me meti en los detalles e hice una gran cantidad de investigación, hablé con los estudiantes, los docentes y recibí cuestionarios y muchas aportaciones de ellos, sobre dónde estaban yendo las cosas mal. ¿Qué no los estaba haciendo hacer las cosas que se supone que deben hacer? Y fue bastante riguroso, perdí el sueño durante seis o siete días, llamando a personas, hablando con ellas, grupos tras grupos, incluso cuando acontecían otras cosas, Darshan, entrevistas y viajes. Llené mi mente con tantos análisis que mi cabeza estaba realmente a punto de estallar. Obviamente, debido a todo esto, hubo alguna interferencia en el trabajo diario con Swami. No puedes ir totalmente vacío a Swami porque algo está pasando en tu cabeza. Cuando los miraba en el Darshan, y cuando ya tenía toda la información en mi cabeza,’Yo sé lo que hiciste. Tengo todas las pruebas, datos sobre ti ‘, no era capaz de ser yo mismo. Estaba juzgando.
Cuando Swami va a todos los otros bloques, está bien. ¡Pero cuando venga a este, Madhusudhan se hara cargo.! Estaba interfiriendo con el verdadero trabajo de Swami. Swami sabe todo sobre todos, pasado, presente y futuro y, sin embargo, se comporta con tanto amor. Sólo tenía que darme cuenta de algunos errores, ¡mirar cuán crítico me había vuelto! Estaba pensando, estas personas no merecen tener a Swami. Todo tipo de ideas !!
Finalmente, Swami dijo que vendría a su albergue el último día del año para bendecir a todos los estudiantes. Para entonces, el arrepentimiento había derretido Su corazón. Ahora vean mi situación. Siempre han visto el otro lado. Ahora miren la historia desde mi lado. Estoy aquí, con la mente llena de datos sobre cada maestro y alumno de lo que han hecho y lo que no han hecho. Tengo todo esto en mi cabeza debido a mi buena memoria. Yo recuerdo mucho. Estaba pensando si merecían que Swami fuera a su albergue. ¿Debería Swami incluso tomarse esta molestia para recorrer todo el camino? Pero también estoy al mismo tiempo con Swami. Y se supone que debo dejar que Él haga las cosas y no obstruír. Estaba en un gran dilema, una agonía mental que me hacía sentir miserable.
Fuimos allí y entramos al salón. Un paso antes, estaba lleno de juicios. Un paso después de entrar al salón, todo se derritió. Todo juicio se evaporó. Tanta positividad me atrapo, que estaba derramando lágrimas de amor por cada uno de los niños y el personal. No lo pude controlar. Era un diluvio y me estaba disolviendo en eso. Tanto amor experimenté! Entonces me di cuenta, este es el corazón de Swami. Nada más Él conoce. Él no sabe cómo analizar cosas, cómo descifrar, cómo juzgar. Él solo sabe una cosa y eso es amar. Si ese amor llega a la otra persona, Él está feliz, si no lo alcanza, en cierta medida Él está triste. No porque la otra persona no responda, sino por lo desafortunado que ha sido al no poder entender el amor Divino.
Cuando fui allí, había tanta divinidad, amor y afecto, que brotaba de cada célula de mi cuerpo y lo único que salió de mi corazón fue ‘¡Swami! Deja que todos estos corazones se llenen con el mismo amor que tienes para todos. Deja que cada uno de ellos se vuelvan tan puros y divinos que todo el lugar se transforme en un cielo. Deja que estén llenos, impregnados hasta rebosar con este tipo de amor divino que tienes’. Automáticamente la oración emanó. Toda la amargura, las cosas ásperas, el análisis, el juicio, los cálculos desaparecieron en el aire. Y me sentí tan aliviado. Varias noches, había estado dando vueltas en mi cama pensando en todas estas cosas. Un momento con Swami cuando le permiti a Él ser, todo desapareció. Se dio totalmente a Sí Mismo sin retener siquiera una pulgada de Sí Mismo. Y eso es lo que transforma a las personas. Esto es lo que aprendí. He experimentado este tipo de amor por la gente que es adorable y he sentido también lo mismo. Pero cuando tuve alguna limitacion hacia alguien porque sabía algo de ellos, era muy difícil. Uno empieza a juzgar. Se vuelve difícil amar después de eso. Hagas lo que hagas, hay algo de ti que retendrás. Pero Swami no es así. Él simplemente derrama Su amor, venga lo que venga.
Swami dijo una vez, parece que querían limpiar el río Ganges. Como la mayoría de ustedes sabrá al respecto y todavía continúan los esfuerzos. Hay tanta polución y contaminación que ha tenido lugar a lo largo de tantas décadas de negligencia. El río Ganges ha perdido su pureza física, sin embargo, la pureza espiritual no ha sido tocada. El gobierno está gastando cientos y miles de crores, pero de alguna manera el Ganges no está siendo mejorado. Un día, cuando hubo una gran multitud en los Himalayas, se produjo una inundación y fue tan poderoso que, por una vez, comenzó a fluir tanta agua que toda la suciedad desapareció. Todos los esfuerzos humanos para limpiarlo gastando cientos de millones de rupias durante tantos años no pudieron; un gran diluvio de lluvia o la inundación lavaron el río. Ese es el poder de la divinidad.
Como humanos, podemos gastar miles de crores (billones de rupias) corrigiendo, enseñando, educando y ‘transformándonos’ a cada uno. Pero todo esto no va a funcionar a menos que la voluntad divina o el amor divino se hagan cargo. Un golpe de amor divino, llámalo el golpe del Maestro, es equivalente a miles de nuestros pequeños golpes humanos para corregir las cosas. El mundo se transformará si podemos hacer eso. Me di cuenta de esto sólo ahora, no hay otra manera. Swami dice que sólo el amor puede transformar. Él siempre lo dijo. Él nunca devaluó Sus palabras, nunca cambió Sus palabras. Sólo el amor es la solución. Sólo el amor es la panacea para todos los problemas en el mundo. ¿Que clase de amor? Sin juicio, cálculos, inhibiciones, castigos o recompensas, sin ningún tipo de toma y daca, sin expectativas. Sólo eso, el más puro de su tipo, puede arreglar las cosas en este mundo. Eso es algo que mi dura cabeza no podía entender en casi cinco o seis años de estar tan cerca de Swami. Lo sabía teóricamente hasta ahora, pero esta vez literalmente estaba pasando por mi corazón por primera vez y Él me enseñó una lección. ¡Primero me enseñó cómo no hacer las cosas y luego cómo tenían que ser hechas! Al final de todo, si no poseemos la capacidad de amar a otros como Él , déjenme decirles por experiencia propia que todo lo demás será un derroche. Se engañarán pensando que están haciendo algo que transformará el mundo. Al final, cuando tengan un pie en la tumba, se darán cuenta de que todo fue errado. Esta repentina realización ha cambiado algo dentro de mí, un ingrediente integral dentro de mí. A menos que entendamos cómo amar como Él , y si aún estamos incluso por debajo de ese amor del que Él es capaz, creo que todos los demás esfuerzos se habrán desperdiciado. Puede tener algún efecto temporario. Pero su permanencia no puede garantizarse. Sin embargo, está garantizado sólo cuando somos capaces de amar como Él. Necesitamos de alguna manera aprender a amar como Él. Si no aprendemos después de todos estos años de asociación, créanme, no nos habremos hecho justicia a nosotros mismos, ¡olvidense de hacer justicia al mundo! Si quieren hacer cualquier transformación en esta sociedad y en el mundo en general, no es posible sin poder amar como Él. La conclusión es que, sin el tipo de amor que Él tiene, no podemos mover nada en este mundo, no podemos cambiar una pieza en este mundo, y no podemos transformar a una persona en este mundo. Todo lo demás será un desperdicio. Es por eso que Kabir Das dijo: “Aquellos que entienden esta palabra AMOR, PREMA (Amor Divino en hindi), son los más grandes sabios”.
Con mi participación directa en el asunto del campus, sólo creé miedo y no amor. Pero Él fue una vez, lavó todo y creó tanto amor. ¡Y tendrá su impacto en su propio curso del tiempo, sin duda!

“Without the kind of love that Swami has, we cannot move a thing in this world, we cannot change a piece in this world, and we cannot transform a person in this world.”
I have to share what happened very recently because it’s extremely important. And I learnt a big lesson in Swami’s mission. I have two parts to my work. Most people know I’m with Swami and when He comes, does things and talks; I just do whatever is required. But there is the other part. I also involve myself in the day-to-day activities of the Trust, especially Education which is very dear to me. Children are dear to me. For me, when Swami is doing so much, He is relentlessly working so my expecting results out of it is natural. Isn’t it? That’s how I have been brought up. There should be end results out of any action. One just can’t keep doing things and nothing comes out of it at the end.
In one of the institutions, the students deviated from the discipline. And it came to Swami’s notice and He was ‘apparently’ upset. He then distanced Himself from the whole bunch of students for a long time. He was travelling to every institution, flying across visiting new campuses but right next door; He did not want to go and was holding Himself back. Obviously, children were praying hard. He listened, acknowledged, but He was not ready to go there. The Divine Play went on for six months or so. An institution like this, where Swami is available to students so often; not getting to access to Swami is indeed painful. The students got embarrassed too because everybody got to know that these are the culprits who did something that has made Swami go away. I got mentally involved. I felt that it was not right on the part of boys to behave thus when Swami is doing so much and what more, He is making us also do so much! I didn’t want these efforts to go waste. We must deliver. We must show the change in us. We must behave according to the requirement and expectations of Swami. I got into the details and did a lot of analysis, talking to students, teachers and coming out with questionnaires and getting lot of inputs from them as to where things were going wrong. What is not making them do the things that they are supposed to do? And it was quite rigorous, I lost sleep for six or seven days, calling people, talking to them, batches after batches, even when other things were going on, Darshan, interviews and travels. I filled up my head with so much of analysis that my head was really bursting. Obviously, due to all this there was some interference in day-to-day work of Swami. You can’t go totally empty to Swami because there is something going on in your head. When I looked at them in Darshan, and when I already had all the analysis in my head. ‘I know what you did. I have all the proofs, data about you’, I was not able to be myself. I was judging.
When Swami goes to all other blocks, it’s fine. But when He came to this block, Madhusudhan takes over! It was interfering with Swami’s real work. Swami knows everything about everyone, past, present and future and yet He behaves with so much love. I just got to know few mistakes, look how judgmental I became! I was thinking, these people don’t deserve to get Swami. All kinds of ideas!!
Finally, Swami said He was coming to their hostel on the last day of the year to bless all the students. By then, repentance had melted His heart. Now look at my situation. You have always seen the other side. Now look at the story from my side. I’m here, my head full of analysis of every teacher and student of what they have done and not done. I have the whole data in my head that to my good memory. I do remember a lot. I was thinking if they even deserve Swami coming to their hostel? Should Swami even take this pain to go all the way? But I am also at the same time with Swami. And I am supposed to let Swami do things and not obstruct. I was in a big dilemma, a mental agony that made me miserable.
We went there and entered the hall. A step before, I was full of analysis. One step after entering the hall, all of it melts away. All the analysis evaporates. So much of positivity takes over that I am shedding tears out of love for each of the boy and staff. I’m not able to control. It’s a deluge and I’m getting dissolved in it. So much of love, I experienced. Then I realized, this is Swami’s heart. Nothing else He knows. He doesn’t know how to analyse things, how to decipher, how to judge. He just knows only one thing and that is to love. If that love reaches the other person, He is happy, if it doesn’t reach, to a certain extent He is sad. Not because the other person did not respond but because how unfortunate the person has been that he can’t understand the Divine love.
When I went there, it was so much of divinity, love and affection, that was oozing out of every cell of my body and the only thing that came out of my heart was ‘Swami! Let all these hearts be filled with the same love that you have for everyone. Let each of them become so pure and divine that the whole place transforms into a heaven. Let them be filled, suffused to the brim with this kind of divine love that you have.’ Automatically the prayer emanated. All the bitterness, harsh things, analysis, judgment, calculations just disappeared in to the thin air. And I felt so relieved. Several nights, I was tossing and turning in my bed thinking of all these things. One moment with Swami when you allowed Him to be, everything disappeared. He gave Himself totally away without holding back even an inch of Himself. And that is what transforms people. This is what I learnt. I have experienced this kind of love for people who are lovable and I have also felt the same. But when I have had an inhibition for somebody because I knew something about them, it was so difficult. You start judging. It becomes difficult to love after that. Whatever you do, there is some bit of yourself that you will hold back. But Swami is not like that. He just poured His love, cats and dogs.
Swami once said, it seems they wanted to clean the river Ganges. As most of you might know about it and it still goes on. There is so much of pollution and contamination that has happened over so many decades of negligence. River Ganga has lost its physical purity, the spiritual purity is undoubtedly untouched though. Govt is spending hundreds and thousands of crores but somehow Ganga is not getting cleaned. One day when there was a huge crowd burst in the Himalayas and that led to a flood and it was so powerful that for once so much of water started flowing in, that all the dirt got washed away. All the human efforts for cleaning by spending hundreds of crores for so many years could not do; one big deluge of rain or the flood washed away the river. That is the power of divinity.
As humans we can spend thousands of crores correcting, teaching, educating and ‘transforming’ each other. But all this is not going to work unless the divine will or the divine love takes over. One stroke of divine love, call it the Master’s stroke, is equivalent to thousands of our petty human strokes to set things right. The world will be transformed if we can do that. I realized this only now, there is no other way. Swami says love alone can transform. He always said. He never minced His words, never changed His words. Love alone is the solution. Love alone is the panacea for all the troubles in the world. What kind of love? Without judgment, calculations, inhibitions, punishments or rewards, without any give and take, without expectations. That alone, the purest of its kind can set things right in this world. That is something my hard head could not grasp in almost five or six years of being so close to Swami. I knew it theoretically so far, but this time it was literally passing through my heart for first time and He taught me a lesson. First teaching me how not to do things and then teaching me how it was to be done! At the end of it all, if we do not possess the capability of loving others like Him, let me tell you from my own experience, everything else would be a waste. You will be fooling yourself in thinking you are doing something that will transform the world. At the end of it, when your one leg is in the grave, you will realize it was all wrong. This sudden realization has changed something inside me, some integral ingredient inside me. If we truly understand how to love like Him, and if you are short even a percent of that love which He is capable of, I think all other efforts will be wasted. It may have some temporary effect. But the permanence of it cannot be guaranteed. However it is guaranteed only when we are capable of loving like Him. We need to somehow learn to love like Him. If we don’t learn after all these years of association, then believe me, we would not have done justice to our own selves, forget doing justice to the world! If you want to do any transformation in this society and world at large, it’s not possible without being able to love like Him. The bottom line is, without the kind of love that He has, we cannot move a thing in this world, we cannot change a piece in this world, and we cannot transform a person in this world. Everything else will be a waste. That’s why Kabir Das said, “Those who understand the two and half word of love , PREMA ( in Hindi), are the greatest men of wisdom.”
With my direct involvement in the matter in the campus, I only created fear and not love. But He went once, washed it all away and created so much of love. And it will have its impact in its own due course of time, without doubt!
