Es su deseo que decide en qué forma el Señor se aparece ... Bhagavan narra una hermosa historia de Udaipur, Rajasthan, sobre un sacerdote piadoso y un rey Rajputana ...

Para ganar la Gracia de Dios, usted tiene que rezar a la energía personificada, con nombre y forma, es su anhelo el que decide en qué forma el Señor se aparecerá. 
Usted llama y él responde. Si usted no es serio, si usted se siente indiferente, y dice: "Que venga cuando quiera, en la forma que le guste y con el nombre que prefiera." Él no va a aparecer. Llamelo  ha él con angustia, y Él responderá.


En Rajasthan, había un sacerdote que veneraba la imagen de Balakrishna instalada en el templo, junto al palacio de Udaipur. Su nombre era Devesa. Su historia no puede ser encontrada en ningún lugar, pero ya que estaba íntimamente relacionada conmigo, la conozco muy bien. 
Todas las noches acostumbraba "poner a dormir  a Balakrishna " con el ritual apropiado y cerraba la puerta del santuario, pero, antes de salir, iba y tomaba de la cabeza de la imagen, la guirnalda Mallika, que había colocado allí por la tarde y se la llevaba, antes de irse a casa. Por supuesto, en esos días en que el Maharana visitaba el templo, la corona tenia que ser entregada a él.

El Maharana estaba feliz pero se sorprendió al encontrar en ella un mechón de pelo gris! Ante la sospecha de algún truco, gritó con enojo. "¡Qué! ha crecido nuestro Balakrishna ( joven Krishna) esta viejo y con canas? "El sacerdote, para salvar el pellejo, dijo que" Sí ". El Maharana respondió. God Almighty is at the beck and call of a sincere sadhaka whose anguished cry would bring the Formless All-pervading Divinity to manifest Himself in any form the devotee yearns for. It is your yearning that decides in what form the Lord appears…echoes Bhagawan narrating a beautiful story from Udaipur, Rajasthan involving Bhagawan Sri Krishna, a devout priest and a Rajputana king …

To earn the Grace of God, you have to pray to the Personified Power with Name and Form; it is your yearning that decides in what form the Lord appears. You call and He answers. If you are not earnest, if you feel indifferent, and say, “Let Him come when He wills, in the Form He likes and with the Name He prefers.” He will not come at all. Call on Him with anguish; He will respond.


In Rajasthan, there was a priest who worshipped the image of Balakrishna installed in the temple, attached to the palace of Udaipur. His name was Devesa. His story may not be found anywhere but since he was intimately connected with Me, I know him very well. Every night he used to “put Balakrishna to sleep” with appropriate ritual and close the door of the shrine; but, before he came out, he would take from the head of the Image, the mallika garland he had placed there in the evening and wear it himself, before proceeding home. Of course, on those days on which the Maharana visited the temple, the garland had to be given to him, for wear.




One day, however, the Maharana came immediately after the priest had worn it inside his tuft of hair; so, when the Ruler demanded the flower, he had to get inside the shrine and, slyly remove it from his tuft, hand it reverentially back to him. The Maharana was happy that he had not missed the gift; but, was shocked to find in it a strand of gray hair! Suspecting some trick, he shouted angrily. “What! has our Balakrishna grown old and gray?” The priest, to save his skin, said “Yes.” The Maharana replied. “Well, I shall not disturb Him now; but, early tomorrow, I shall come and see if His hair has really gone gray.”


Devesa had no food or sleep that night. He wept his eyes out in agony, for, he had in his fear, imposed old age and grayness on the ever-youthful Lord. Morning came and the Maharana hurried to the temple to open the shrine. They both looked in and, lo, the hair was gray. The King suspected that the hair was false, planted by the priest. So he pulled and tugged at it, only to find drops of blood at the roots. God had responded to the anguished cry, the call of agony. The Formless will assume any form and undergo any transformation to satisfy the yearning of the devoted aspirant. The overriding purpose is to make all Karma-jivis, Brahma-jivis.

The heart of Jesus was pure and calm. Hence, it is honoured as sacred. We must make our hearts sacred so that either we merge in Jesus or Jesus merges in us. When we merge, it is called Bhakthi; to have Jesus awakened in us is the path of Jnaana. 


Jesus was a messenger of God; but note this also: all of you are messengers of God. 
Jesus was not the only Son of God; you are all His children. Jesus and His Father are one. You and God are also one and you can be aware on it.

Sai Ram - El festival Ratha Yatra comienza ....



Ratha Jatra, el Festival de Carros del Señor Jagannatha se inicia el jueves. Las deidades que presiden el templo principal Sri Mandira, Señor Jagannatha, Señor Balarama  y la Diosa Subhadra, con la rueda celeste Sudarshana, se llevan fuera de los recintos del templo en una procesión ritual elaborada en sus carros respectivos.


Los grandes carros están decorados con vivos colores, son traídos por cientos y miles de devotos , por la gran avenida desde el templo Gundicha, a unos dos kilómetros de distancia, hacia el Norte. Después de una estancia de siete días, las deidades regresan a su morada en Srimandira.


La santidad y el significado de Ratha Jatra.


El festival es también conocido como Jatra Gundicha, Jatra Ghosh, Jatra Navadina, Jatra Dasavatara y por una variedad de otros nombres. Para los devotos y creyentes, se considera la ocasión más propicia. Sai Ram - Lord Jagannatha Ratha Yatra starts....




Ratha Jatra, the Festival of Chariots of Lord Jagannatha starts today - Thursday. The presiding deities of the main temple, Sri Mandira, Lord Jagannatha, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra, with the celestial wheel Sudarshana are taken out from the temple precincts in an elaborate ritual procession to their respective chariots.


The huge, colourfully decorated chariots, are drawn by hundreds and thousands of devotees on the bada danda, the grand avenue to the Gundicha temple, some two miles away to the North. After a stay for seven days, the deities return to their abode in Srimandira.


Sanctity and Significance of Ratha Jatra


The festival is also known as Gundicha Jatra, Ghosa Jatra, Navadina Jatra, Dasavatara Jatra and by a variety of other names. For the devoted and believers, it is considered the most auspicious occasion. Rathe tu vamanam drishtwa punarjanmam na vidyate A glimpse of the Vamana, the dwarf form, an incarnation of Lord Jagannatha, is sure to ensure emancipation, release from the cycle of birth and death.
Jatra is an essential part of the ritual of the Hindu system of worship. Jatra literally means travel or journey.


It is rarely that the presiding deities come out of the sanctum for such ritual journeys. The Jatra for the Ritual Journey take two forms – one involving the short circumbulation around the temple and other involving a longer journey from the temple to some other destination. The Jatra is considered as an important part of festivities and ceremonies of each temple and is considered as a special and sacred occasion.


Rath Jatra being unique among all Jatras is the grandest festival of the supreme divinity. Lord Jagannatha is identified fully with Vishnu and Krishna. In his original manifestation as Nilamadhaba, he was worshipped in a sacred Nyagrodha Briksha or banyan tree. The branches of the tree had spread for several miles and any one entering this area was instantly emancipated and was relieved of the travails of the birth and re-birth. In fact, the influence of Yama, the God of Death, is supposed to have been curtailed in the sacred city of Puri – Srikshetra on account of the presence of Lord Jagannatha and therefore it is also called the Yamanika Tirtha.


A glimpse of Lord Jagannatha on the chariot is considered to be very auspicious and saints, poets and scriptures have repeatedly glorified the sanctity of this special festival.


The sanctity of the festival is such that even a touch of the chariot or even the ropes with which these are pulled is considered enough to confer the results of several pious deeds or penance for ages. In fact, there is a famous Oriya song which says that on this occasion, the chariot, the wheels, the grand avenue all become one with Lord Jagannatha himself.


The concept of the chariot has been explained in the Kathopanishada in the following words-


Atmanam rathinam viddhi sareeram rathamevatu
Buddhim tu saarathim viddhi marah pragrahameva cha.


The body is the Chariot and the soul is the deity installed in the chariot. The wisdom acts as the charioteer to control the mind and thoughts.

Never let cynical laughter or comments bother you; they can never harm a spiritual aspirant. Can a storm shake the Himalayan range? Let not your faith in the goal or the path, quake before trouble or trial, toil or travail, distress or despair. These are but passing clouds, casting temporary shadows, hiding for a little while, the glory of the sun or the moon. Do not get distracted by doubt or despondency. Build the mansion of your life on four firm pillars – virtue, wealth, desire and liberation (Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha) as laid down by the ancient sages, each pillar bound strong and safe with every other. Never allow these pillars to slant or tumble as some individuals, communities or nations are doing now.
