La sesión de la tarde del día 2 de la Conferencia Nacional de Maestros, comenzó con Bhagavan siendo ceremoniosamente recibido con Poorna Kumbham , acompañado por los Cantos Védicos .

El primer orador para la noche fue Sri PGR Sindhia, un profesor convertido en político que sirvió como ministro en el Gobierno de Karnataka. Sri Sindhia rindió su reverencia a Late Madiyal Narayan Bhat, así como a Bhagavan, y comentó que no había mayor prueba de la presencia de la divinidad que los estudiantes luminosos y devotos que sacrificaron sus propias vidas y se dedicaron con el propósito de la elevación social. Sri Sindhia también expresó que Bhagavan no está restringido a la forma física o sutil, sino que está siempre presente con cada individuo, devoto o no, como la presencia constante que es la fuerza que guía a todas sus acciones. También mencionó los diversos casos en su vida cuando Bhagavan hizo milagrosamente esta presencia constante evidente.

El siguiente orador para la noche fue el Dr. K P Bhagyalaxmi, ex alumna y ex profesora del Instituto Sri Sathya Sai de Educación Superior (Campus de Anantapur), quien encabeza actualmente todos los campus de las niñas estableciéndose como su Presidente. La Dra. Bhagyalaxmi cautivó a la audiencia con recuerdos de sus días como estudiante en Anantapur. Ella señaló maravillosamente que el único objetivo de todas las acciones emprendidas por todos los devotos y estudiantes de Bhagavan era complacer al Señor. Ella continuó contando sobre el afecto maternal y el amor que Swami derramó sobre todas las niñas en Anantapur para asegurarse de que se sintieran cómodos en la universidad y el albergue. Ella concluyó la charla compartiendo algunos de los consejos que recibió de Bhagavan antes de unirse al Colegio de Anantapur como maestra.

Las charlas fueron seguidas por una actuación musical de los estudiantes de las instituciones de Bhagavan, que se han unido para formar una Banda de Cuerdas, que el Señor bautizó con amor como los Ángeles de Sai. Los estudiantes, que fueron iniciados en los instrumentos por primera vez en 2015, los han aprendido y dominado en un lapso de tiempo asombrosamente corto. La primera pieza que fue exhibida por el conjunto fue el tema musical nominado al Oscar por la popular película 'Pink Panther'. Los estudiantes y su entrenador Sri Dimitris Lambrianos, un músico griego con múltiples talentos, continuaron ofreciendo una guirnalda de canciones y Bhajans a los pies de loto divinos.

La sesión de la tarde llegó a la conclusión después de que el  Arati fue ofrecido a Bhagavan.

Cada Gurú es un maestro pero cada maestro no puede ser un Gurú . Las diferencias básicas entre el primero y el último son - un maestro provoca la mente, da instrucciones e imparte conocimientos en los estudiantes; mientras que un Gurú toca el alma, construye los estudiantes e imparte sabiduría para un mañana mejor. Es un gran viaje para todos los maestros el convertirse en un Gurú y esto se puede lograr siguiendo lo que Bhagavan ha dicho: “ Achariti ITI Aharyah ”, que significa un maestro es el que hace. La Conferencia Nacional de Maestros está diseñada para equipar al maestro para impartir no sólo una educación material, que es importante para vivir, sino también para la educación espiritual, que moldea el carácter y la personalidad de los alumnos. La muy esperada conferencia de tres días comenzó con la llegada de Bhagavan a el escenario mientras los Bhajans estaban en marcha. La iluminación (encendido) de la lámpara fue seguida por la invocación védica por las estudiantes.  El primer orador para la sesión inaugural fue Shri Tanvir Sait, Ministro de Educación Primaria y Secundaria de Karnataka. El orador comenzó con una nota de felicitación por la celebración de una conferencia nacional de profesores, ya que era la necesidad del momento. Dijo que la educación es un arte de transformación. Los programas de capacitación se llevaron a cabo en cinco diferentes lugares dentro del campus, en colaboración con la academia sobre el tema relacionado con las técnicas de enseñanza creativa. Fue realmente una gran plataforma para todos los maestros que asistieron a la conferencia, que se han introducido en muchas nuevas técnicas de enseñanza, utilizando escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir, y habilidades en la enseñanza cotidiana para el beneficio de los estudiantes. Con la invocación védica por los estudiantes de Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Niketanam, Chikkaballapur, fue el turno de Shri M Sanjiv Shetty para dirigirse a la reunión. Pronunció una charla muy enérgica basada en el tema: Espiritualidad y Educación. Recordando una experiencia personal en Chennai, habló sobre las falacias del sistema educativo moderno. Destacó la diferencia entre la educación y Vidya. Vidya o la educación india, dijo, es aquello que enseña a uno a mirar dentro, y a nutrir el yo interior, mientras que la educación es sacar lo mejor de una persona. La educación moderna sólo se centra en certificar y proporcionar grados a las personas y por lo tanto la asimilación del conocimiento se pierde. Esto sólo puede ser corregido por el sistema de educación basado en valores, explicó e instó a los profesores a incorporar valores en sus asignaturas. "Cualquier sistema educativo que no fomente los valores humanos no va a ser de ninguna utilidad", enfatizó. Cuando un estudiante piensa que él es sólo el complejo cuerpo-mente junto con la inteligencia, nunca desarrollará este tipo de confianza, porque el cuerpo y la mente siguen cambiando, dependiendo del tiempo y el espacio. Ha sido aquello que nos enseña el objetivo de la vida. Cuando renunciamos a la estrechez mental del "yo" y el "mío", desarrollamos una mentalidad amplia,  pensando que todo el mundo nos pertenece, y por lo tanto, amamos y servimos a todos, eso se convierte en espiritualidad. Para las personas de mentalidad amplia, el mundo entero es una familia. Por lo tanto, la educación es aquella que nos confiere ese tipo de amplitud mental por la cual sabemos y sentimos que todo el mundo es una familia. Si queremos alcanzar la paz mundial, es importante que expongamos a nuestros hijos a este tipo de educación, que dice que hay un solo Atma y que todo el mundo nos pertenece. Si queremos vencer todas nuestras debilidades, el amor a Dios es muy importante. Sólo cuando desarrollas amor por Dios, puedes desarrollar el amor por los demás. Nunca nos puede traer perfecta sabiduría. La educación que nos hace inmortales es la educación definitiva. La verdadera educación es la educación del alma o Atma vidya. Todo el mundo quiere tener moral en la sociedad, pero ¿cómo conseguimos la moralidad en la sociedad? La moralidad en la sociedad sólo puede llegar cuando desarrollamos Atmabhimana, el amor por el Atma, el amor por lo Divino. La gente estudia todo tipo de educación, obtiene mucha erudición, se hincha con mucho orgullo y arrogancia, pero nunca se vuelve desinteresada. Cualquier educación que no nos enseñe a ayudar a otros no es educación en absoluto. Si quieren desarrollar ese tipo de sentimiento sagrado en sus corazones, es necesario que la base de la educación sea la espiritualidad.  Es muy esencial que sepamos que Dios existe en todos. Como maestros, cuando sabemos que el mismo Dios que reside en todos los niños, reside en nuestros colegas y todos los demás, podemos amar a todos. Cuando miras las cosas externamente, puede haber diferencias, pero cuando miras dentro, sólo hay un principio. Ustedes pueden convertirse en eruditos en cualquier número de escrituras, cualquier tipo de educación. Si no alcanzas el amor en el corazón, todo es un desperdicio.  Lo primero es el amor por Dios; los segundo, el amor por todos. Cuando amamos ... In this issue, we bring you the first part of the National Teachers' Conference 2017 held  from May 26 to May 28, 2017 at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli. In this week's INNER VIEW, Brother Madhusudan Naidu shares an interesting moment which happened in Kodaikanal, between the Lord and His devotee. - Sathya Sai Grama Communications Team  INNER VIEW By Sri Madhusudan Naidu End to End!  Just as Swami was distributing sarees and clothes to the volunteers of Seva Vrinda at Kodai Kanal on the last day, Sister Swati Pai, coordinating the team, pointed out to a small group of volunteers and said, "Swami unlike those who stayed for three days in batches, these volunteers have stayed end to end, and done service." Swami was quick to respond, "Even I have stayed end to end." Though it sounded like a simple statement echoing the same words of Sister Swati, Swami elevated the meaning to an all new dimension. Yes, He always stayed end to end and served every one. He has always been the first, and the last servant! Every morning, He woke up to serve all, till He slept again. Every single day at Kodai the only thought on His mind was 'What else to give the devotees, what else to tell them, how else to look after their comforts?' From arranging the Western to the North and South Indian cooks, to seating arrangements in the dining hall, to personal supervision of the serving of food, to enquiring with them about their stay and comfort, from handing over shawls to keep them warm, to cameras to capture the eternal moments, from distributing diaries to jot down the memories, to giving pens with torch lights to light their way, from soul-filled sessions in the mornings and evenings, to the most intimate interviews in between, He was all over the place serving and serving, and serving everyone. It wasn't long ago that in Germany when someone during the Youth Meet asked Swami as to how to introduce Him to the youth who are new, He said, " Tell them I am the servant of servants, and not the Master of Masters". Every Guru is a Teacher but every Teacher cannot be a Guru. The basic differences between the former and the latter are – a Teacher provokes the mind, instructs and imparts knowledge in the students; whereas a Guru touches the soul, constructs the students and imparts wisdom for a better tomorrow. It is a great journey for every teacher to become a Guru and this can be achieved by following what Bhagawan has been saying; “Achariti iti Aharyah” which means a Teacher is the one who practices. National Teachers’ Conference is designed to equip the teacher in imparting not just the material education, which is important in making a living but also spiritual education which molds the character and personality of the pupils.   The much awaited three-day conference began with the arrival of Bhagawan on the stage as the Bhajans were on.  Lighting the lamp was followed by Vedic invocation by the girl students. The first speaker for the inaugural session was Shri Tanvir Sait, Karnataka Minister for Primary and Secondary Education. The speaker began with a congratulatory note for holding a national teachers’ conference as it was the need of the hour. He said education is an art of transformation. He continued moving amidst the devotees showering His blessings, answering prayers and giving a word of solace to multitudes assembled at the Premamrutham auditorium. He visited the exhibition stalls which were set up at the rear end. Training programmes were conducted at five different venues within the campus in collaboration with the academy on the theme pertaining to creative teaching techniques. It was indeed a great platform for all the teachers who attended the conference to have been introduced to many new techniques of teaching using listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in day to day teaching for the benefit of the students. With the Vedic invocation by the students of Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Niketanam, Chikkaballapur, it was the turn of Shri M Sanjiv Shetty to address the gathering. He is the Managing Trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Trust, Alike campus. He is a luminary in the sphere of education and a recipient of Best Teacher Award from the Government of Karnataka. In the year 1994, he was selected by the Government of Karnataka to impart value and moral lessons to the students and also train teachers. The first speaker for the session was Sri G. Balasubramanian, former Director Academic of Central Board of Secondary Education and currently running a consultancy in Chennai called Educational Systems and Innovations. He gave a very energetic talk based on the theme- Spirituality and Education. Recollecting a personal experience in Chennai, he spoke about the fallacies of the modern education system. He highlighted the difference between education and Vidya. Vidya or the Indian education, he said, is that which teaches one to look within and nurture the inner self while education is to bring out the best in a person. Modern education only focusses on certifying and providing degrees to people and therefore the assimilation of knowledge is lost. This can be corrected only by the value based system of education, he explained and urged the teachers to incorporate values in their subjects. “Any education system that does not nurture the human values is not going to be of any use” he emphasized. He also explained about pedagogy which is the manner of teaching in the right way and stressed the importance of pedagogy in teaching. The next speaker was Swami Atmapriyananda. The first speaker for the evening was Sri PGR Sindhia, a professor turned politician who served as a Minister in the Govt. of Karnataka. Sri Sindhia paid his obeisance to Late Madiyal Narayan Bhat as well as Bhagawan and remarked that there was no greater proof of the presence of divinity than the luminary students’ and devotees who sacrificed their own lives and dedicated themselves for the purpose of social upliftment. Sri Sindhia also expressed that Bhagawan is not restricted to either the physical or the subtle form, rather He is ever present with each individual, devotee or not, as the constant presence that is the guiding force behind all their actions. He also mentioned the various instances in his life when Bhagawan miraculously made this constant presence evident. The next speaker for the evening was Dr K P Sai Leela, an alumnus and former faculty of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (Anantapur Campus), who currently heads all the girls’ campuses being established as its Chairperson. Morality in society can come only when we develop Atmabhimana, love for the Atma, love for the Divine.  People study all kinds of education, attain lot of scholarship, they bloat with lot of pride and arrogance but they never become selfless. If you want to develop that kind of sacred feeling in your hearts, it is necessary that the basis of education should be spirituality. It is very essential that we know God exists in everyone. As teachers when we know that it is the same God who resides in all children,resides in our colleagues and everyone else, we can love everyone.
