Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Sai

Saludos navideños a todos vosotros en esta época especial cuando nuestros corazones están tan llenos de amor. Nuestras mentes están enfocadas en nuestro Bienamado Swami: en Su Amor, Su Santidad, y en todos los Divinos Nombres y Formas que Él ha asumido desde el comienzo. Estamos todos en Su Divino Abrazo para siempre. Eso nunca cambiará. Escribo para compartir Su Divino Amor con vosotros y para desempeñar las obligaciones que me encomendó nuestro Bienamado Swami.
Somos devotos Sai aspirando realizar a nuestro Bienamado Sai en nuestros corazones espirituales. En este mundo, hay cambio perpetuo.
Nuestras mentes cambian con cada pensamiento efímero, nuestros cuerpos cambian con cada latido. La gente cambia, las organizaciones cambian, la estructura y las reglas de las organizaciones cambian. Nuestro Bienamado Swami ha dicho, “El reino del atma está más allá de las reglas y regulaciones, pero las necesitamos para controlar las divagaciones de nuestras mentes.”
Los principios espirituales que nos dio nuestro Bienamado Swami son imperturbables. Son para siempre verdad. Nunca cambiarán. El punto hasta el que aplicamos y ejemplificamos estos principios es la medida de nuestra autenticidad espiritual. Son nuestro refugio, nuestra luz, nuestro camino a la iluminación. La Divina Gracia de nuestro Bienamado Swami nos imbuye con fuertes convicciones que nos permiten resistir los caprichos de la vida mundana. Estamos llenos del amor desinteresado que nos capacita para realizar Su Divina Omnipresencia.
Somos miembros de la Organización Sri Sathya Sai, devotos de nuestro Bienamado Swami, esforzándonos para ser merecedores de Su Divino Nombre. Los cambios inevitables que ocurren en todas las Organizaciones Sai deben ser implementados de manera sabia, amorosa y responsable.
Con este fin, convoqué una “Asamblea General” en Prasanthi Nilayam el pasado 24 de noviembre. Asistieron dos miembros del Fideicomiso Central Sri Sathya Sai, concretamente, Sri Indulal Shah, primer Presidente de la Organización Sai Internacional y miembro del Fideicomiso Central, K. Chakraverty, miembro del Fideicomiso Central y Secretario de nuestro Bienamado Swami, cuatro de los cinco miembros de la Fundación Mundial Sri Sathya Sai, todos los miembros del Consejo de Prasanthi, la mayoría de los Presidentes Zonales, algunos de los Coordinadores Centrales, Vice-coordinadores Centrales, y Presidentes de los Comités de la Fundación Mundial Sri Sathya Sai. ¡Efectivamente una asamblea majestuosa!
En los últimos días varios relatos sobre este encuentro han estado circulando. Se necesita una aclaración.
El encuentro comenzó cantando tres OMS. Subsecuentemente, los invitados especiales Sri Indulal Shah, Sri K. Chakraverty, y todos los miembros presentes de la Fundación Mundial Sri Sathya Sai, y todos los miembros del Consejo de Prasanthi se presentaron a la Asamblea General y se les dio la oportunidad de dirigirse a la misma. Sri Chakraverty aconsejó a la asamblea sobre la necesidad de unidad y cooperación. En cuanto a la Fundación Mundial Sri Sathya Sai y el Consejo de Prasanthi:
La Fundación Mundial SSS es el ápice del cuerpo de la Organización Sai Internacional. El Dr. Goldstein aconsejó a la asamblea general que procederemos muy cuidadosamente, en el próximo año, para asegurar que los cambios que se introduzcan hoy sigan siendo positivos y se vuelvan productivos mañana. El Consejo de Prasanthi seguirá informando a la Fundación Mundial Sri Sathya Sai. El Dr. Narendra Reddy será el Presidente del Consejo de Prasanthi. La presente función de los miembros del Consejo de Prasanthi, incluyendo la distribución geográfica de las responsabilidades, seguirá intacta.
Los miembros del Consejo de Prasanthi informarán al Presidente del Consejo de Prasanthi. Ha funcionado muy bien. Los Presidentes zonales continuarán informando directamente al miembro del Consejo de Prasanthi asignado a sus zonas respectivas para su guía. Los miembros del Consejo de Prasanthi serán responsables de tomar decisiones importantes sobre procedimientos y recomendaciones para los nuevos coordinadores e informaran al Presidente del Consejo de Prasanthi, quien, a su vez, presentará los cambios propuestos al Presidente de la Fundación Mundial Sri Sathya Sai para su revisión y decisión final. Nos esforzaremos por la unanimidad en todos los temas. Sin embargo, si hubiera diferencias de opinión, el Presidente de la Fundación Mundial Sri Sathya Sai los resolverá. Este sistema permanecerá intacto por un año y luego será revisado, si fuera necesario. Para evitar ambigüedades, confusión, o diseminación de malas interpretaciones, todas las comunicaciones internacionales vendrán desde la oficina del Presidente de la Fundación Mundial Sri Sathya Sai o serán autorizadas por él. Mis queridos hermanos y hermanas, reconozcamos que ahora tenemos una oportunidad espiritual sin precedentes, tal vez a través de muchas vidas, para volvernos Su Divina Luz en este mundo. Podemos realizar Su Mensaje de Amor Divino en estas vidas que nos han sido conferidas. No tiremos esta oportunidad de una vida, no, de muchas vidas, promoviendo nuestras transitorias ambiciones humanas. Cuando promovemos nuestros egos innobles y mundanos, degradamos nuestra estatura espiritual infinita.
Todos somos devotos de la Divinidad, nuestro Bienamado Swami. Todos queremos servir fiel y efectivamente. Estamos profundamente afectados por la transición de vivir y amar Su Divina Presencia Física a vivir y amar Su Gloriosa Omnipresencia Divina. En realidad, siempre ha sido lo segundo, pero nuestro Bienamado Swami, en Su Infinito Amor y Cuidado por nosotros, Sus hijos, permitió un breve santuario en el curso de nuestro viaje espiritual uniéndose a nosotros en esta excursión mundana. Ahora todos debemos llegar a conocerle, a amarle, en la forma más elevada y pura. Busquemos Su Consejo en nuestra consciencia y sintamos Su Amor en lo más sagrado de nuestros corazones.

To all Sai devotees International Sai Organizations
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Sai
Sai Ram!
Holiday greetings to all of you during this special season when our hearts are so full of love. Our minds are focused on our Beloved Swami: on His Love, His Holiness, and on all Divine Names and Forms that He has assumed since the beginning. We are all in His Divine Embrace forever. That will never change. I write to share His Divine Love with you and to perform the duties entrusted to me by our Beloved Swami.
We are Sai devotees aspiring to realize our Beloved Sai in our spiritual hearts. In this world, there is perpetual change. Our minds change with every fleeting thought, our bodies change with every heartbeat. People change, organizations change, the structure and rules of organizations change. Our Beloved Swami has said, “The realm of the atma is beyond rules and regulations, but we require them in order to control the meandering of our minds.”
The spiritual principles given to us by our Beloved Swami are imperturbable. They are forever true. They will never change. The extent to which we apply and exemplify these principles is the measure of our spiritual authenticity. They are our refuge, our light, our way to enlightenment. The Divine Grace of our Beloved Swami imbues us with strong convictions that enable us to withstand the vagaries of worldly life. We are filled with the selfless love that enables us to realize His Divine Omnipresence.
We are members of the Sri Sathya Sai Organization, devotees of our beloved Swami, striving to be worthy of His Divine Name. The inevitable changes that occur in all Sai Organizations must be implemented wisely, lovingly, and in a responsible manner. Toward this end, I convened a “General Assembly” in Prasanthi Nilayam on this last November 24. In attendance were two members of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, namely, Sri Indulal Shah, first Chairman of the International Sai Organization and member of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, K. Chakraverty, member of the Central Trust and Secretary to our beloved Swami, four of the five members of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation, all members of the Prasanthi Council, most of the Zone Chairmen, some of the Central Coordinators, Deputy Central Coordinators, and Chairmen of the Committees of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation. An august assembly indeed!
Over the last several days various accounts of this meeting have been circulated. Clarification is required.
The meeting commenced by chanting three OMS. Subsequently, special guests Sri Indulal Shah, Sri K. Chakraverty, and all members of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation present, and all members of the Prasanthi Council were introduced to the general assembly and given an opportunity to address the assembly. Sri Chakraverty advised the assembly of the need for unity and cooperation. He indicated that the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation will continue to work side by side in that spirit. Dr. Michael Goldstein, Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation, will work with the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust to ensure unity and effective coordination of all programs.
Dr. Goldstein addressed the assembly and stated that the Spiritual Organization, bearing the Divine Name of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, should not be abused as a vehicle that confers power and authority. Rather, serving in the Sai Organization should be utilized as an opportunity to accept and discharge responsibility for ourselves and our organization selflessly. Our goal is to ensure spiritual authenticity of programs and practices performed in His Name.
Regarding the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation and Prasanthi Council:
The Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation is the apex body of the International Sai Organization. Dr. Goldstein advised the general assembly that we will proceed very carefully over the next one year to ensure that the changes introduced today will remain positive and become productive tomorrow. The Prasanthi Council will continue to report to the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation. Dr. Narendra Reddy will become the Chairman of the Prasanthi Council. The current function of the Prasanthi Council members, including the geographic distribution of responsibilities, will remain intact. The Prasanthi Council members will report to the Chairman of the Prasanthi Council. The Chairman of the Prasanthi Council will keep the Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation informed periodically in all matters. Should the new Chairman of the Prasanthi Council have any difference with any of the Prasanthi Council members, he will present these matters to the Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation for resolution. The system that I put into place early this year, which affords the Prasanthi Council members a degree of autonomy in their respective regions, will be respected and preserved. It has functioned very well. Zone Chairmen and Chairwomen will continue to report directly to the Prasanthi Council member assigned to their respective zones for guidance. The Prasanthi Council members will be responsible for making important procedural decisions and recommendations for new office bearers to the Chairman of the Prasanthi Council, who will, in turn, submit the proposed changes to the Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai World foundation for review and final decision. We will strive for unanimity in all matters. However, should there be differences of opinion; the Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation will resolve them. This system will remain intact for one year and then be reviewed, if necessary. In order to avoid ambiguity, confusion, or dissemination of misinformation, all international communications will come from the office of the Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation or be authorized by him. This state of affairs will prevail over the next one year.
My dear brothers and sisters, let us all recognize that now we have an unprecedented spiritual opportunity, perhaps lifetimes in the making, to become His Divine Light in this world. We can realize His Message of Divine Love in these lives that we have been given. Let us not throw away this opportunity of a lifetime, nay of many lifetimes, by promoting our transient human ambitions. When we promote our ignoble and worldly selves, we demote our infinite spiritual stature.
We are all devotees of Divinity, our Beloved Swami.
We all want to serve faithfully and effectively.
We are all deeply affected by the transition from living and loving Him in His Divine Physical Presence to living and loving him in His Glorious Divine Omnipresence. Actually it has always been the latter but our Beloved Swami, in His Infinite Love and Care for us, His children, permitted a brief sanctuary in the course of our spiritual journey by joining us on our worldly jaunt. Now we must all come to know Him, to love Him, in the highest and purest way. Let us all seek His Counsel in our conscience and feel His Love in our most sacred heart of hearts.
