“Tattva Sameeksha”_'¡Si la devoción no está en la educación, es como una moneda falsa con una sola cara!'_16-06-2018.

'¡Si la devoción no está en la educación, es como una moneda falsa con una sola cara!'
Hace apenas unos días, Swami había visitado la escuela secundaria (en Muddenahalli) y sucedió que los niños, por su gran entusiasmo prepararon algunas canciones, bhajans y luego la representaban.
De repente, Swami se molestó mucho. No he visto esa cara de Swami desde hace mucho tiempo. Y Él dijo: " Paren todas estas canciones! Esta no es la forma en que debe hacerse.
Y siguió diciendo, nuestra India es Bharata - bhava, raga, tala y también Bhagavanthudu lo Rathinche Valu - aquellos que se deleitan en la Divina felicidad de la Divinidad.
Eso es la India!
No canten sin sentimientos, no canten sin una buena melodía, y no canten sin un buen ritmo. Pon todos estos tres juntos como en un pudín; con leche, azúcar y arroz, ponganlo juntos. Sólo entonces habrá sabor.
Dijo que si no hacen esto en nuestras instituciones, entonces no hay esperanza para este mundo!
Si no se dan cuenta de la importancia de lo que nuestra Cultura India nos ha dado en términos de la devoción, que es lo más importante en todos los hogares indios desde tiempos inmemoriales, si no lo hacen, si no cantan con el sentimiento correcto , con la melodía y el ritmo correctos, entonces están generando una injusticia.
Estaba muy molesto. Puso a unas pocas personas para hacerse cargo de este asunto y ver que los niños desarrollen devoción con fe, y canten con ese tipo de sentimiento de anhelo sincero por Dios.
Una vez más, vi unos días atrás en el Centro para la Excelencia Humana, que ahora se ha actualizado como la Universidad para la Excelencia Humana, nuevamente el mismo mensaje.
*Establecer el Dharma más elevado que es el Sanatana Dharma, que está estableciendo estas instituciones. La educación formal y secular es solo una excusa para inyectar realmente estos antiguos valores de la cultura india que habla de la divinidad de todo.
En la sala de conferencias del edificio de la Universidad, Swami pasó más de una hora y media hablando con invitados y simpatizantes sobre la importancia de restablecer esta cultura de la espiritualidad en este mundo.
Cuando yo era estudiante en Puttaparthi, un día Swami estaba dando un discurso. No recuerdo exactamente cuando ocurrió, probablemente alrededor de las 1999-2001. No soy como el señor Narasimha Murthy. No recuerdo las fechas!! Pero recuerdo la ocasión y Swami había dicho, " Un día llegará cuando la India marque el camino para el resto del mundo. No sólo se volverá poderosa espiritualmente, sino que también será un poderosa económicamente. Y todo el mundo va a mirar hacia la India por el liderazgo en todos los aspectos y ese día no está lejos!"
Ahora, cuando veo a Swami viajando tantos lugares, en todas partes, Swami está siendo recibido con mucho entusiasmo por los sacerdotes y el pueblo.
Incluso en Rishikesh, cuando conocimos a Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, quien ha sido un devoto de Swami sin nuestro conocimiento, pero que Swami lo conoce desde 40-45 años en este nacimiento al menos y no sé cuántos nacimientos más antes.!
También comprendió todo lo que Swami está tratando de hacer en este mundo hoy. Los hospitales, las instituciones educativas son los medios para entrar en los corazones de las personas y decirles cuál es la verdadera razón por la que Swami sigue por aquí, haciendo lo que esta haciendo. Para mí personalmente, fue muy abrumador. Porque, todo el tiempo estamos ocupados con asuntos aparentemente mundanos, como desarrollo de campus educativos, preparación de maestros, organizar la construcción de hospitales. Usted sabe la cantidad de actividad que hay alrededor de Swami todo el tiempo, que está aumentando día por día, nos mantiene siempre ocupados, y a veces perdemos este enfoque que exactamente es la razón por la que Swami está haciendo lo que está haciendo.
A veces nos preocupa tanto esta noción de que estamos aquí para construir más escuelas y educar a más niños, y ver que van a estar listos y que podrán cuidar de sí mismos y de sus familias y de otros diez. O estamos aquí para establecer instituciones como hospitales donde curamos a unos pocos niños y procuramos que ya no sean una carga social. Pero mucho más allá de esto, está la filosofía de Swami del Sanatana Dharma, que es como el trasfondo de todo lo que está tratando de hacer.
Y esa es la razón por la cual Él está presionando tanto ahora dentro de nuestro sistema educativo, más que nunca.
Incluso hoy, les dijo a los maestros que habían venido del Campus de las Niñas. "La educación es una parte, pero la devoción es la otra parte. Si no hay devoción en la educación, es como una moneda falsa con una sola cara. Por lo tanto, la devoción, el amor a Dios, el anhelo de Dios, es la razón principal y más elevada por la que hago lo que hago ".
Y lo continuó repitiendo durante todo este viaje.
Estoy seguro de que todos deben tener curiosidad por saber qué más ocurrió durante este viaje de Badrinath, Kedarnath y Gangotri.
Hay, por supuesto, una parte mística en todo el asunto. Y ahí está la parte filosófica. Esta es la parte filosófica que acabo de compartir.
Él está tratando de conectar líderes espirituales de todo el país ahora. Está tratando de juntarlos a todos. Y sólo Èl puede hacerlo. Sólo Su amor incondicional puede conectar a personas de diferentes religiones, diferentes sectores, diferentes estados, y diferentes creencias, y ponerlos juntos como en una guirnalda. En todas partes que posó Sus pie, tocó los corazones del pueblo, ya sea los Sacerdotes del Templo de Kedarnath, ya sean Badrinath o Gangotri o en el Ashram Niketan en Rishikesh.
Se vio que Èl los está conectando a todos lentamente. Él los está llevando a todos juntos y Èl está a la altura de algo muy grande, que no creo que ninguno de nosotros tenga idea en este momento.
Y es tan maravilloso ver a nuestro país, India, volver al lugar que realmente merece en el mundo. No como una súper potencia económica o nuclear, sino como una Potencia Espiritual que pondrá al mundo de nuevo en sus vías, y habrá paz, armonía, hermandad, y fraternidad en todas partes.
Y Swami lo está presionando muy fuerte, y yo pude sentirlo, porque le dijo a Chidanand Ji (Ashram Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh), tenemos que trabajar juntos.
Al igual que el río Ganga, Yamuna, y Saraswati; todos esto fluye desde los Himalayas, y recorren todo el país regando tierras, apagando la sed de millones, y en última instancia, todos se fusionan en el océano.
Del mismo modo, todas estas filosofías, credos, grupos religiosos o espirituales deben trabajar en sus propios campos, pero finalmente todos deben unirse. Y ahora, más allá de la educación y la salud, está abriendo un nuevo capítulo que pude ver claramente en Sus acciones durante este viaje.
Comenzó con un pequeño campus educativo, y luego comenzó con un hospital; pero más allá de estas dos capas de Su misión, ahora lentamente algo más se está revelando a sí mismo.
Más allá de la fachada de las instituciones educativas, la nutrición o el cuidado de la salud, hay una agenda más grande y más profunda de Swami, que es lo que finalmente está tratando de lograr, y estas, son las formas y los medios para hacerlo.
Y se está volviendo más y más claro a medida que pasan los días.
Estoy tan feliz, porque siempre solía tener esa intriga de por qué India no está volviendo a donde debería estar. Por qué debería considerarse como un país del tercer mundo, o como un país en desarrollo, por supuesto en términos materiales.
Pero en términos espirituales, India fue la gloria suprema de todas las naciones del mundo.
Ahí es donde se encontraba la India, pero ahora su cultura está siendo olvidada, la gente realmente no está prestando atención a lo que representa la India, y eso lastima tanto a Swami.
Swami siente mucho por esta Cultura India. ¿Qué suerte tenemos? ¡Dios podría haberse manifestado en cualquier parte! Pero Él eligió estar aquí en India. ¡Porqué, porque, es aquí donde Él quiere hacerlo, como la tierra de la acción, Karma Bhoomi.!
Y desde aquí quiere comenzar una revolución, que se extenderá por todo el mundo.
Ahora,cuando Él va por el establecimiento de Ashrams, nuevamente la agenda es la misma. El Servicio y el Amor es una parte, pero una comprensión más profunda de la Unidad de Todo; ese es Su enfoque principal por el cual Él está presionando ahora.
En todas partes, Sus discursos y conversaciones me lo están haciendo muy obvio.
Esta es la parte filosófica del viaje. Y la parte mística, por supuesto, siempre está ahí.

‘If devotion is not there in education, it’s like a counterfeit coin with only one face and not the other!’
Just a few days ago, Swami had visited the High School (in Muddenahalli) and it so happened that children out of their great enthusiasm prepared some songs, bhajans and then they were rendering it. All of a sudden Swami got very upset. I have not seen that face of Swami for a long time. And He said, ‘Stop all these songs! This is not the way it should be done’. And He went on to say, our India is BhaRaTa – Bhava, Raga, Tala and also Bhagavanthudu lo Rathinche Vallu - those who revel in the Divine bliss of Godhood. That is India! Don’t sing without feelings, don’t sing without good tune, and don’t sing without a good rhythm. Get all these three together like a pudding; with milk, sugar and rice, put them together. Only then there will be taste. He said if you don’t do this in our institutions, then there is no hope for this world! If you don’t realize the importance of what our Indian culture has given us in terms of the devotion, which is the uppermost in all the Indian households since time immemorial, if you don’t develop that, if you don’t sing with the right feeling, with right tune and rhythm, then you are doing injustice. He was very upset. He put few people in charge to take up this matter and see to it that children are developing devotion with faith and singing it with that kind of feeling of sincere yearning for God.
I again saw few days back at the Centre for Human Excellence which is now upgraded to a University for Human Excellence, again the same message! It is to establish the highest Dharma which is the Sanatana Dharma that He is establishing these institutions. Formal, secular education is just an excuse to actually inject these ancient values of Indian culture which talks about divinization of everything. In the Conference room of the University building, Swami spent over an hour and a half talking to guests and well-wishers about the importance of re-establishing this culture of spirituality back in this world.
When I was a student in Puttaparthi, one day Swami was giving a discourse. I don’t remember exactly when it happened, probably around 1999-2001. I am not like Narasimha Murthy Sir. I can’t remember dates and quote it!! But I remember the occasion and Swami had then said, “A day will come when India will lead the way for the rest of the world. Not only will it become a spiritual power, but will also be an economic power. And the whole world will look towards India for leadership in all respects and that day is not far!”
Now, when I see Swami travelling to places, everywhere Swami is being received with such enthusiasm by the priests and the people. Even at Rishikesh, when we met Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, who has been a long standing devotee of Swami without our knowledge, but Swami knows him for 40 – 45 years in this birth at least and I don’t know how many more births before! He also understood the whole thing of what Swami is trying to do in this world today. Hospitals, educational institutions are means of ultimately getting into the hearts of people and telling them what is the real reason why Swami is still around, doing what He is still doing. For me personally, it was so overwhelming. Because, all the time we are busy with seemingly mundane matters of development of educational campuses, placement of teachers, organizing the construction of hospitals. You know the amount of activity that is going around Swami all the time, which is increasing by the day, keeps us always occupied and sometimes we lose this focus that what exactly is the reason why Swami is doing what He is doing. Sometimes we get so preoccupied with this notion that we are here to build more schools and educate more children and see to it that they are going to be on their two feet and they can take care of themselves and their families and may be ten others. Or we are here to establish institutions like hospitals where we cure a few children and see to it that they are not social burden anymore. But far beyond this is Swami’s philosophy of Sanatana Dharma, which is like the undercurrent of all that He is trying to do. And that is the reason why He is pushing it so hard now within our education system all the more than ever before. Even today, He told the teachers who had come from the Girls’ campus. ‘Education is one part, but devotion is the other part. If devotion is not there in education, it’s like a counterfeit coin with only one face and not the other! Therefore, devotion, love for God, yearning for God is the uppermost and the primary reason why I am doing whatever I am doing’. And that He went on repeating throughout this whole trip.
I am sure you all must be curious to know what else happened during this Badrinath, Kedarnath and Gangotri trip. There is of course a mystical part to the whole thing. And there is the philosophy part. This is the philosophy part which I just shared now. He is trying to connect spiritual leaders from around the country now. He is trying to put them all together. And only He can do is what I have noticed. Only His unconditional love can connect people of different religions, different sects, different states, and different beliefs and put them together like a garland. Everywhere He placed His foot, He touched the hearts of the people, whether it’s the temple priests of Kedarnath, whether Badrinath or Gangotri or at the Parmarth Niketan ashram in Rishikesh. He saw to it that He is connecting all of them slowly. He is bringing them all together and He is up to a very big thing which I don’t think any one of us has any idea about right now. And it’s so wonderful to see our country, India, back to the place which it truly deserves in the world. Not as an economic or nuclear super power, but as a spiritual power which will put the world back on its tracks and see to that there is peace, harmony, brotherhood, fraternity everywhere. And Swami is pushing it very hard and I could make out because He told Chidanand Ji (Parmarth Niketan ashram, Rishikesh) also that we have to work together. Like Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati; all these are flowing from Himalayas, they go around the country irrigating lands, quenching thirst of millions and ultimately they all go and merge in the ocean. Likewise, all these philosophies, faiths, religious or spiritual groups all must work in their own fields but ultimately they all must come together. And He now beyond education and health is opening a new chapter which I could see clearly in His actions during this trip. He started with a small educational campus, and then started with a hospital; but beyond these two layers of His mission, now slowly something more is revealing itself. Beyond the façade of educational institutions, nutrition or healthcare, there is some bigger and deeper agenda of Swami which is what He is ultimately trying to achieve and these are the ways and means of doing it. It is becoming clearer and clearer as the days go by.
I am so happy because this used to always be my feeling why India is not getting back to where it should be? Why it should be looked at as a third-world country or a developing country, of course in the material terms. But in the spiritual terms, India was a crowning glory of all the nations of the world. That’s where India stood but now its culture is being forgotten, people are not really paying attention to what India stands for and that hurts Swami so much. Swami feels so much for this Indian culture. How lucky we are? God could have manifested anywhere! But He chose to be here in India. Why because, this is where He wants to make it as the land of action, Karma Bhoomi! And from here He wants to start a revolution that will spread around the world. Now, as He is going around establishing ashrams, again the agenda is the same. Service and Love is one part but deeper understanding of oneness of everything; that is His main focus which He is pushing for now. Everywhere, His discourses and talks are making it very obvious to me. This is the philosophical part of it about the trip. And the mystical part is of course always there.
