Esta fecha marca el regreso auspicioso del legendario rey de antaño, el emperador Mahabali, a la tierra de Kerala, conocida popularmente como el propio país de Dios, donde está todo listo para celebrar el festival de Onam, una vez más durante esta semana, en Prashanti Nilayam. Contingentes de los devotos del estado ya están llegando, y la fecha prevista de 5 días de festividad comenzó hoy con la función de esta noche, organizada en Sai Kulwant Hall.

El proyecto de Rehabilitación Sai, un esquema noble que se encarga de los pacientes post operatorios de los dos Hospitales de Super Especialidades de Prasanthigram y Whitefield, está entrando en su tercer año de inicio, con la llegada de Onam 2011. 

El proyecto  se inició con la bendición explícita de Bhagavan en el año 2008, que ha sido un año trascendental, tocando muchas vidas, sirviendo a miles y miles de personas en los últimos tres años en el campo de Medicare.

En el marco del proyecto, un primer examen post-operatorio de los pacientes, se puede hacer después de 15 días de operado, que es seguido por dos controles más en los próximo tres mes. Un encuentro, llamado acertadamente 'Hrudaya Sangamam "sigue compartiendo la alegría y la conciencia de toda la" familia "de los pacientes beneficiados. El año pasado, Prashanti fue testigo de la primera Sanghamam Hrudaya en la Divina Presencia , cuando un considerable número de "pacientes", muchos de ellos de origen musulmán, había venido de los distritos de Kerala, en el mes sagrado del Ramadán, para la celebración del final de fiesta, en su divina presencia .

Esta tarde, en el Sai Kulwant, hubo una reunión especial de más de 400 pacientes operados y sus familias, junto con otro grupo Parthi Yatra de 500 maestros de escuelas. Los próximos días, hasta 09 de septiembre está previsto que Prashanti tenga programas especiales de Onam.

Esta noche, como de costumbre y Vedas y Bhajans continuaron y el Mangala Arathi se ofreció a las 18:00 horas.

Marking the auspicious homecoming of legendary king of yore, Emperor Mahabali, the land of Kerala, popularly known as God's Own Country, is all set to celebrate Onam festival once again during this week, in Prasanthi Nilayam. Contingents of devotees from the state are already arriving and the scheduled 5-day festivity commenced today with this evening's function organised in Sai Kulwant Hall.

Sai Rehabilitation Project, a noble scheme that takes care of post operative patients from the twin Super Speciality Hospitals in Prasanthigram and Whitefield, is entering in its third year of inception with the advent of Onam 2011. The project that began with Bhagawan's explicit blessings in 2008 has been an epochal one, touching many lives, serving thousands upon thousands in the past three years in the field of medicare.

Under the project, a first post operative check up of patients is be done after 15 days that is followed by two more checkups in the next three month gap. A get-together, aptly named 'Hrudaya Sangamam' follows sharing the joy and awareness of entire 'family' of benefitted patients. Last year Prasanthi had witnessed the first ever Hrudaya Sanghamam in the immediate Divine Presence, when a sizeable number of 'patients', including many of muslim origin, had come from selective districts of Kerala, during the holy month of Ramadan, celebrating the final festive day in His immediate Divine Presence.

This evening Sai Kulwant had a special gathering of over 400 operated patients and families along with another Parthi Yatra group of 500 School Teachers. The coming days, till 9th Sept Prasanthi is scheduled to have special Onam programmes.

This evening as usual Vedam and Bhajans continued and Mangala Arathi was offered at 1800 hrs.

Hoy ha sido la celebración de un aniversario, un aniversario más de 39 años de servicio al hombre, un aniversario del amor entre los instrumentos y el Maestro, un aniversario del día en Bhagavan bendijo a sus alumnos que él amorosamente escogidos para formar parte de su misión en la forma más directa, el día Bhagavan bendijo a sus padres, lo que les enseñó la lección de la piedad filial, el día Bhagavan amplió el alcance de la oración de canto "Samasta Lokaah Sukhino Bhavantu", en el aniversario del día en que Bhagavan dijo a sus muchachos que la fe es la fuerza más importante del hombre, no una fe en una entidad externa, sino la fe en su propia divinidad innata.Hoy es día Sannidhi Sai.



El programa se inició a las 16:30hrs con las invocaciones védicas. A las 17:00 hs el Dr. Shashank Shah, un compañero post-doctorado de la Escuela de Administración de Empresas, Contabilidad y Finanzas en la Universidad de Bhagavan, presentó el programa del día que tituló, " Sai Sannidhi: Una historia de amor ". Habló largo y tendido sobre la relación maravillosa entre Bhagavan y sus estudiantes, y la participación absoluta de Bhagavan en todas las actividades, y su liderazgo . El hecho de estar con Dios es la verdadera educación.

El segundo orador fue Lanka. Vedanarayan, ganador de un premio nacional, y maestro de Sánscrito de la Escuela de Sri Sathya Sai Secundaria Superior. Relató la misión de Bhagavan de servicio al hombre es servicio a Dios y la fortuna de ser parte de esa misión sin igual y tener una envidiable relación con él. Hizo una lista de las tres cualidades más importantes y esenciales para los estudiantes: Trikarnasudhi (Unidad y l pureza de pensamiento, palabra y obra), confianza en uno mismo y el Namasmarana (incesante canto del nombre del Señor). Sólo estas cualidades, bromeó nos ayudará a aprender a nadar para no ahogarnos.

El último orador fue Sri Aravind B, un consumado orador, escritor y fotógrafo, trabaja en el estudio de Prasanthi Digital. Haciendo un recuento de momentos maravillosos de sus interacciones personales con Bhagavan, dijo que él siempre mantiene nuestra mano. Nuestra oración a Dios es para asegurarnos de que no deje nuestra mano. Siendo un estudiante del instituto, dijo, es un proceso académico, pero para ser un estudiante Sai no se encuentra en alcance de todos, ya que sólo la entrega nos hacen uno. 

Entrega, citó Bhagavan, es la aceptación de que todo lo que pasa es para bien propio. Por lo tanto, tenemos que estar siempre alegres, ya que todo lo que sea escogido por Él , es para nuestro propio bien y el crecimiento personal. Lágrimas de alegría, amor y gratitud, dijo, es la más adecuada "discurso" que le podemos ofrecer.

Las conversaciones inspiradoras fueron seguidas por un programa de música hermoso, un ramo de cinco canciones. Las canciones eran intercaladas, con experiencias compartidas por algunos de los estudiantes. Muchas de las viejas canciones que Bhagavan disfrutaba en los programas anteriores habían sido fresca piezas instrumentales , son siempre nuevas para nuestro Señor, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

El programa fue seguido por bhajans y el Arati. Prasadam fue distribuido a la asamblea.

Today was the celebration of an anniversary, an anniversary of 39 years of service to man, an anniversary of the love between the instruments and the Master, an anniversary of the day Bhagawan blessed His Students who he lovingly handpicked to be part of his mission in the most direct way, the day Bhagawan blessed their parents and thereby taught them the lesson of Filial Piety, the day Bhagawan expanded the scope of the Prayer Chant to "Samasta Lokaah Sukhino Bhavantu", the anniversary of the day when Bhagawan told His boys that faith is the most important strength of man, not a faith in an external entity but the faith in his own innate divinity. Today is Sai Sannidhi day.



The programme commenced at 1630hrs with Vedic invocations. At 1700hrs Dr. Shashank Shah, a post-doctoral fellow of the School of Business Management, Accounting and Finance at Bhagawan's University introduced the days programme which he entitled, "Sai Sannidhi: A Love Story". He spoke at length on the most wondrous relationship between Bhagawan and His students, the absolute involvement of Bhagawan in every activity of their's and his leadership from the front. Indeed Living with God is True Education.

The second speaker was Sri. Vedanarayan, a national award winning Sanskrit teacher from the Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School. He recounted Bhagawan's mission of Service to Man is Service to God and the fortune to be part of that matchless mission and to have an enviable one to one relationship with Him. He listed the three most important qualities essential for the students: Trikarnasudhi (Unity and Purity of Thought, Word and Deed), Self Confidence and Namasmarana (incessant chanting of the Lord's name). Only these qualities he quipped will help us learn to swim before saving the drowning.

The final speaker was Sri Aravind B, an accomplished speaker, writer and photographer, working in the Prasanthi Digital Studio. Recounting some wonderful moments of his personal interactions with Bhagawan, he said that He always hold our hand. Our prayer to Him is to ensure that we don't leave His hand. Being a student of the institute he said is an academic process but to be a Sai Student is in everyone's grasp as it is only Surrender that will make us one. Surrender, he quoted Bhagawan, is the acceptance that everything which happens is for one's own good. Hence we need to be joyful always as everything we get has been handpicked by Him for our own personal good and growth. Tears of joy, love and gratitude he said is the most appropriate 'speech' that we can offer Him.

The inspiring talks were followed by a beautiful music programme, a bouquet of five songs. The songs were interspersed with experiences shared by some of the students. Many of the old songs which Bhagawan enjoyed in previous programmes had fresh instrumental pieces woven between them symbolic of the ancient but ever fresh nature of our Master, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

The programme was followed by Bhajans and Arati. Prasadam was distributed to the assembly.

Hoy, sábado, en el tercer día de la gran fiesta de Ganesh Chaturthi, decenas de Ganeshas fueron sacados en procesión hasta el Sancta Sanctorum en el Sai Kulwant Hall, antes de la ceremonia de inmersión, que marca la culminación de la extravagancia religiosa que se apoderó de Prashanti Nilayam durante los últimos tres días.

La procesión que comenzó a partir de diferentes lugares Prashanti, principalmente de los albergues del Instituto Sri Sathya Sai de Educación Superior y Escuelas, llegó al Sai Kulwant Hall a las 16:10 hrs. Con la entrada del último, fue la señal para empezar los Cantos Vedicos. Poco después de comenzar los cantos Vedicos, los prosecionistas se movieron hacia adelante, hacia el Sancta Sanctorum, para salir a circunvalar el Mandir.



La flota de Ganeshas, fueron organizados, todos ellos con diversas decoraciones y formas caprichosas , coloridos decorados, listos para saludar al Señor Bhagavan en el Sancta Sanctorum. La flota que se extendía desde el extremo del Yajur Mandiram hasta el final del este de Prashanti, y hacia el sur desde ambos extremos,  veinticinco Ganeshas representaron los albergues, y varias otras instituciones hermanas de Prashanti.

Después de la circunvalación, que llevó quince minutos, los estudiantes de la Escuela Secundaria Superior presentaron una danza ceremonial, la invocación a Ganesha para volver el próximo año.

Pronto llegó el momento de retirarse. Cada uno en fila, trajo sus respectivos Ganesha el Sancta Sanctorum, el Sumo Sacerdote ofrecía Mangala Arathi a cada individuo antes de que El Señor Ganesha se llevara hacia el ghat de inmersión. Toda la procesión llegó a su conclusión a las 17:15 hrs. 

Esta es la ocasión en Prashanti, de mostrar Ganeshas con temas variados, mostrando coloridas ideas innovadoras por el grupo de estudiantes dedicados y entusiastas , que ponen su mejor esfuerzo para convencer al Señor de Prashanti. Este año, como años anteriores, se pudo ver  la procesión de toda la variedad de artesanías, desde las mayores verdades espirituales de antaño a las modernas ideas innovadoras de hoy. Algunos de ellos fueron el Ave Fénix Ganesha, Garuda Vahana Ganesha, Ganesha helicóptero, Swan Ganesha por los pequeñitos de la Escuela Primaria, Jardín Ganesha por los pequeñitos de Smt. Ishvaramma Inglés Media School, la mariposa Ganesha etc .. Los estudiantes competían por los detalles de estructuras y su significado interno.

Los Bhajans continuaron durante los siguientes 45 minutos y el Mangala Arathi se ofreció a las 18:00 horas. Prasadam fue distribuido a toda la asamblea.

A principio el conjunto de Ganeshas, ​​que formó el núcleo del contingente, fueron sacados con una media hora de antelación. Los entusiasmados estudiantes en ropa de colores, cantaban en voz alta con devoción y con la asistencia de la parafernalia musical llevando a cabo la procesión.

Today, Saturday, on the third day to the grand Ganesh Chaturthi festival, scores of Ganeshas were taken out in a procession to the Sanctum Sanctorum in Sai Kulwant Hall before retreating for the immersion ceremony, marking the culmination of the grant religious extravaganza that gripped Prasanthi Nilayam for the past three days.

The procession that started from various Prasanthi locations, mainly from the hostels of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning and Schools arrived at the venue, Sai Kulwant Hall at 1610 hrs. By the entry of the last entrant, it was time for Vedam to begin. Shortly after Veda chanting began, the processionists moved forward, towards the Sanctum Sanctorum, going for a circumambulation of the Mandir.



The fleet of Ganeshas were arrayed, all in varied fanciful shapes and decor, colourfully adorned, ready to salute the Lord, Beloved Bhagawan in the Sanctum Sanctorum. The fleet that stretched from the Yajur Mandiram end to the East Prasanthi end, further projecting towards the south from both the ends, contained twenty-five Ganeshas representating hostels mainly, and various other sister institutions of Prasanthi.

After the circumambulation, that took fifteen minutes, the students from the Higher Secondary School presented a ceremonial dance, invoking Ganesha to come back next year.

Soon it was time for the Ganeshas to retreat. As one after one each batch brought its respective Ganesha to the Sanctum Sanctorum, the Chief Priest offered Mangala Arathi to each individual Ganesha before The Lord retreated towards the immersion ghat. The whole procession concluded at 1715 hrs. Throughout the session, Sai Kulwant Hall was resounding in loud chanting and bhajans as the colourful pageantry of Ganesha ruled the roost for the entire session.



This is the occasion when Prasanthi showcases Ganeshas in varied theme, displaying colourful innovative ideas with the enthusiastic devoted bunch of students putting their best to impress upon The Over Lord of Prasanthi. This year too, like previous years, the procession had all the variety of craftsmanship, representing greater spiritual truths of yore to modern innovative ideas. Some of them were the Phoenix Bird Ganesha, Garuda Vahana Ganesha, Helicopter Ganesha, Swan Ganesha by the tiny tots from the Primary School, Garden Ganesha by the tiny tots of Smt. Easwaramma English Medium School, Butterfly Ganesha etc...The whole programme was compeered by the students detailing structures and their, inner significance.

Bhajans continued for the next 45 minutes and Mangala Arathi was offered at 1800 hrs. Prasadam was distributed to the entire assemblage.

Earlier the hostel set of Ganeshas, that formed the crux of the contingent, were taken out half-an-hour in advance. Enthusiastic batches of students in colourful attire, chanting in loud with devotional exuberance assisted by musical paraphernalia led the procession.

"Eid-ul-Fitr", o el festival de la caridad se celebró en Prashanti Nilayam. Los alumnos del Instituto Sri Sathya Sai de Educación Superior realizan el programa educativo e inspirador en este día cada año, y este año no fue diferente. Después de la invocación védica, el programa comenzó a las 17.00 horas con Namaz, una oración por el bienestar de todos y cada uno. Después de la Namaz, los estudiantes presentaron un sketch con una historia tejida alrededor de los cinco pilares del Islam a saber - Shahada (Fe),. Salat (Oración), Sawm (ayuno), el zakat (la caridad) y el Hajj (peregrinaje).

La importancia de la oración se describe con una hermosa canción y  danza. El ayuno y la caridad con una historia de sacrificio, donde un pobre musulmán alimenta a un niño indigente con la comida que estaba guardando para su familia, para romper el ayuno del Ramadán. La fe y la peregrinación fue discutida por los estudiantes y aclarado su significado interno. Peregrinación, dijo, no debe limitarse a realizarse a una tierra lejana, sino también hacia el camino de entrada interior. La verdadera morada de la paz está dentro.



Luego, los estudiantes representaron un incidente de su vida en el albergue cuando dos estudiantes se unen a un hermano islámico en el ayuno del Ramadán. 

Este estudiante inspirado por su sacrificio y determinación, se levantaba muy temprano y preparaba un banquete para ellos, antes del amanecer.

Los estudiantes concluyeron el programa diciendo que el Islam no es una religión, sino un estado de ánimo, un estado donde se entrega  la mente a Dios, el Todopoderoso.

El programa se intercalo con música melodiosa y enérgicas actuaciones de danza basadas en las enseñanzas de Bhagavan y el Sagrado Corán. Después del programa, los estudiantes cantaron bhajans durante 10 minutos, para ofrecer el Arati a Bhagavan. 

Prasadam fue distribuido a la asamblea.

"Eid-ul-Fitr", or the festival of charity was celebrated in Prasanthi Nilayam today. The students of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning perform educational and inspiring programme on this day every year and this year was no different. After the Vedic invocation, the programme started at 1700 hrs with Namaz, a prayer for the well being of one and all. After the Namaz, the students presented a skit with a story woven around the five pillars of Islam namely - Shahada (Faith),. Salat (Prayer), Sawm (Fasting), Zakāt(Charity) and Hajj (Pilgrimage).

The importance of prayer was described with a beautiful song and dance. Fasting and charity with a story of sacrifice where a poor Muslim feeds a destitute boy with the food he was taking for his family to break their Ramadan fast., Faith and Pilgrimage was discussed by the students and their inner significance sought. Pilgrimage, they said, is not merely to be undertaken to a distant land but also toward the inward path. For the true abode of peace is within.



The students then enacted an incident from their hostel life when two students join an Islamic brother in the Ramadan fast. Learning about this a fourth student, inspired by their sacrifice and resolve, would wake up very early and prepared a feast for them in the morning before sunrise. The students concluded the programme stating that Islam is not a religion, but a state of mind, a state where the mind is surrendered to Allah, the Almighty.

The programme was interspersed with melodious music and energetic dance performances based on the teachings of Bhagawan and the Holy Quran. After the programme, the students sang Bhajans for 10 minutes after which Arati was offered to Bhagawan. Prasadam was distributed to the assembly.

Krishna Janmashtami, denota el día del nacimiento de Bhagavan Sri Krishna, y se celebra con mucho fervor religioso en Prashanti Nilayam el 22 de agosto 2011.

El encantador Krishna  ha sido una de las formas divinas más entrañable para millones y millones de corazones durante muchos milenios pasados, que atraviesa las fronteras y las barreras establecidas por la religión, la casta y nacionalidad ... Y su canto celestial el Bhagavad Gita ha sido la receta adecuada para la mente del ser humano, y para llegar a su destino final. Su legado continua, incluso después de cinco mil años de su Advenimiento Divino.  Krisnna, acariciado y alimentado por la Madre Yasoda - personifica el amor maternal y la compasión - sigue siendo el ladrón de corazones, como a menudo se canta en Prashanti Nilayam, Chitha Chora Yashoda Ke Bal ... Navaneeta Chora Gopal ...



A juzgar por las leyendas y los registros históricos, fue en la medianoche pasada, en el auspicioso Ashtami, el octavo día de la mitad oscura de Krishna Paksha del mes de Bhadrapada del calendario hindú que Bhagavan Sri Krishna hizo su advenimiento divino hace más de 5000 años. En Prashanti, el día solía ser muy especial, con Bhagavan mismo tomando la iniciativa en la celebración de la fiesta, recordando sus días como Bhagavan Sri Krishna.

Por la mañana, el Sai Kulwant estaba resplandeciente, con una rica decoración de colores acorde con la ocasión. El programa se inició ea las 08:30 hrs. , Después de una media hora de Canto Vedico,  los niños ofrecieron un popurrí de canciones devocionales a los divinos Pies de Loto de Bhagavan !

El primer canto fue el Pandurangashtakam, fue una canción Hindi que refleja la apasionada defensa de Radharani al Señor Krishna, llamándole a salir de su escondite, "Pattu Paduma Krishna ..." una pieza favorita de Bhagaván, una ferviente oración de amor a Krishna en una canción. 
Seguio un pedazo de Carnatic, "Sri Venkatesham ..." que glorifica  la importancia de Namasmarana en la Edad de Kali,  y como la canción se cantaba en la procesión del Gokulam de las vacas y los cuadrúpedos,  al Mandir. Dos niños en la forma de Sri Krishna y Balrama se unieron a la escena, junto con funcionarios de alto nivel,  alimentaron a las vacas y los cuadrúpedos. La procesión fue encabezada por la Banda de Nadaswaram por la gente del Instituto, y Vedam Bhajan.

Las canciones continuaron y un grupo de bailarines pronto tomó el centro del escenario con baile y mucha gracia, representando la historia de Krishna, en esencia. 
El  himno Madhurashtakam fue el siguiente y fue seguida por otras tres canciones, la última fue el bhajan popular que Bhagavan solía cantar ", Muraligana Lola ..." una oración al Amado Krishna, a cantar eternamente por sus devotos.



Un par de bhajans continuaron antes de que el Mangala Arathi se ofreciera a las 09.30 hrs. Prasadam fue distribuido a toda la asamblea.

Pequeñines de la Escuela Primaria, que a menudo se estrechaban en la proximidad con Bhagavan, durante la ocasión de presentar su obra a Bhagaván y saludarlo, fueron derechito al Sancta Sanctorum en el final de la presentación,  presentando sus tarjetas a Bhagaván, una conmovedora escena, que año tras año, fue testigo de la unión y amor entre Bhagavan y sus estudiantes.

Krishna Janmashtami, the day denotes the birth of Bhagawan Sri Krishna was celebrated with much religious fervour in Prasanthi Nilayam on 22nd Aug 2011.

Enchanting Little Krishna has been one of the most endearing Divine forms for millions and billions of hearts over past many millennia, cutting across borders and barriers set by religion, caste and nationality…And His song celestial Bhagavad Gita has been the right recipe for the human minds to reach their final destination. His legacy continuous even after five thousand years of His Divine Advent. Going by the legends and historical records, it was last midnight, on the auspicious Ashtami, the eighth day of the dark half of Krishna Paksha of the month of Bhadrapada of the Hindu Calendar that Bhagawan Sri Krishna made His Divine Advent over 5000 years ago. For Prasanthi, the day used to be very special with Bhagawan Himself used to take the lead, celebrating the festivity reminiscing His days as Bhagawan Sri Krishna.

In the morning, Sai Kulwant was resplendent with rich colourful decorations befitting the occasion. The programme commenced at 0830 hrs. , after half-an-hour Vedam chanting, with boys offering a medley devotional songs at Bhagawan’s Divine Lotus Feet!

Singing Pandurangashtakam first, next to come was a Hindi song reflecting Radharani’s passionate plea to Lord Krishna, calling Him to come out of hiding, “Pattu Paduma Krishna…” a favourite piece of Bhagawan, a fervent loving prayer to Krishna to sing a song. A carnatic piece, “Sri Venkatesham …” glorifying the significance of Namasmarana in Kali Age followed and as the song was on the Gokulam procession of cows and quadrupeds arrived at the Mandir. Two boys in the guise of Sri Krishna and Balrama joined the scene along with senior officials feeding the cows and quadrupeds. The procession was led by the Nadaswaram Band from the Institute, Vedam and Bhajan troupes.

Songs continued and a group of dancers soon took the centre-stage gracefully dancing, depicting the Krishna Story in essence. Madhurashtakam was the next that was followed by another three songs, the final one being the popular bhajan that Bhagawan would often sing, “Muraligana Lola…” a prayer to Beloved Krishna to sing eternally through His devotees.



A couple of bhajans continued before Mangala Arathi was offered at 0930 hrs. Prasadam was distributed to the entire assemblage.

Tiny tots from the Primary School, who often got close proximity with Bhagawan during the occasion presenting their handiwork to Bhagawan greeting Him, made a beeline to the Sanctum Sanctorum at the end of the presentation, presenting their cards to Bhagawan, a touching scene for those who year after year witnessed the Bond of Love between Bhagawan and His students.
