En una entrevista para los traductores globales del equipo de Uvacha el 24 de noviembre de 2016; uno de los traductores busca orientación para introducir la educación del alma a los estudiantes.
Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:
Pregunta: Señor, yo quiero preguntar acerca de la educación. Hace dos noches, Usted ha dicho que el alma de la educación es la educación del alma. Como educador, estoy probablemente en la profesión más egoísta en el mundo, que ha creado los problemas que tenemos actualmente y que se llama 'universidades'. Es irónico y triste que toda esa educación haya producido sistemas políticos destructivos y disfuncionales, naciones y guerras.
Mi pregunta para usted es, ¿cuál es el camino, o el camino, para introducir a los estudiantes a la educación del alma? Si pudiera, enseñaría todo un curso sobre eso, pero no estoy autorizado. ¿Cuál es la mejor manera de hacerlo? ¿Es el sentido de urgencia que uno debería ofrecer? Swami: No no no. No los asustes. Lo que puede preguntarles es, '¿Por qué hacemos algo en nuestras vidas?' Haga esa pregunta. Lo hacemos por felicidad ¿Alguien quiere hacer algo que no los haga felices? Todos hacemos cosas, todo el día, para ser más felices que otros.

Usted jugara un juego bien, y en ese momento, usted tiene el placer de jugar; pero cuando el juego ha terminado, sobre todo si se pierde. Este tipo de cosas van y vienen.
¿Qué le trae felicidad a la gente, que se quedará con ellos? Felicidad tal que, cada vez que lo recuerden, tendrán la misma alegría? Tal felicidad viene cuando amas y cuando sirves.
Sin embargo, si simplemente hablas con ellos, no podrán entender. Debe decirles a los estudiantes que se involucren en actividades, en palabras, y en obras, donde puedan amar sin expectativas, donde puedan servir sin expectativas; eso es espiritualidad.
No hables de filosofía; eso no va a llegar a ellos. Lo que les quedara es la felicidad. Cuando llevan a cabo un acto de servicio para alguien, irán a casa, lo recordarán y siempre se sentirán felices por ello. Tanto es así, que al sentirse atraídos a obtener la felicidad de esta manera, abandonarán todas las actividades derrochadoras y los anhelos de los sentidos, que los engañan con una felicidad artificial e ilusoria. Ellos pueden aprender a hacerlo; así que crea oportunidades para servir, crea oportunidades para amar y guía con tu propio ejemplo. Comprométete con ellos, llévalos, ayúdalos a servir, eso es espiritualidad.
No importa con qué mano comas; lo importante es que tú comas Ya sea que revises las Escrituras, o los libros o textos prescritos, eso es todo secundario; mientras te estés curando, no importa. Por lo tanto, para los niños, siempre digo, no trates de enseñarles, no trates de predicarles, pero, según tu propia práctica, guíalos a practicar. Ellos cambiarán La Escritura es toda teoría. Una vez que conozcan la forma práctica, también conocerán automáticamente la teoría. Si caes al piso, sabes que hay algo llamado 'gravedad'; no necesitas aprenderlo (risa)
No hay oportunidades para que los estudiantes hagan estas cosas. ¿Qué hacen? Incluso si realizan una actividad de servicio, obtienen puntos de crédito en su hoja de evaluación, lo hacen por el bien de los créditos. El mundo es como una jungla; si intenta convertirlo en un jardín, tomará tiempo. Florecerá en su propia temporada; debes tener paciencia. Haz lo que tienes que hacer y espera a que el niño florezca en la temporada correcta. No los asustes. Esa es otra forma de pensar occidental (risas); hay miedo en todo Si les enseñas con miedo, también infundirán miedo en los demás. El amor no conoce el miedo, ¡hazlo con amor! Entonces, ¿qué pasa si un niño a la vez cambia? No estamos aquí por la cantidad. En su dulce momento, todos cambiarán. One’s own inner joy, one’s own happiness should be the motivation

In an interview to the global translators of Uvacha team on 24 November 2016; one of the translators seeks guidance on introducing education for the soul to students.
And here is what Swami said:
Question: Lord, I want to ask You about education. Two nights ago, You said that the soul of education is the education of the soul. As an educator, I am probably in the most egotistical profession in the world, which has created the problems that we currently have and it is called ‘universities’. It is ironic and sad that all that education has produced disruptive and dysfunctional political systems, nations and wars.
My question to You is, what is the path, or way, to introduce students to education of the soul? If I could, I would teach an entire course on it, but I am not allowed to. What is the best way to do it? Is it the sense of urgency that one should offer? You have said recently that we do not have much time. Should I scare them?
Swami: No, no, no. Do not scare them. What you can ask them is, ‘Why do we do anything in our lives?’ Ask that question. We do it for happiness. Does anybody want to do anything that is not going to make them happy? We all do things, all day long, just to become happier than we are.
We have to teach children the meaning of true happiness. What sort of happiness stays, rather than coming and going? Pleasures come and go; you eat good food, your tongue is filled with pleasure but, once the food is digested, the pleasure disappears. You play a game well and, for that moment, you have the pleasure of playing – but not when the game is over, particularly if you lose. Such things come and go.
What brings to people happiness that will stay with them? Happiness such that, whenever they recollect it, they will have the same joy? Such happiness comes when you love and when you serve.
However, if you simply tell them by talking to them, they will not be able to understand. You must tell the students to engage themselves in activities, in words, in deeds, where they can love without expectation, where they can serve without expectation – that is spirituality. Don’t talk about philosophy – that is not going to reach them. What will reach them is happiness. When they carry out one act of service for someone, they will go home, recollect it and will always feel happy about it. So much so, that they will become attracted to obtaining happiness in this way, that they will give up all the wasteful pursuits and cravings of the senses, which delude them with artificial, illusory happiness. They can learn to do so; so create opportunities to serve, create opportunities to love – and lead by your own example. Engage with them, take them along, help them serve – that is spirituality.
It does not matter with which hand you eat; what is important is that you eat. Whether you go through the scriptures, or books or prescribed texts – that is all secondary; as long as you are being cured, it doesn’t matter. Therefore, for children, I always say, don’t try to teach them, don’t try to preach to them – but, by your own practice, lead them to practise. They will change. Scripture is all theory. Once they know the practical way, they will automatically know the theory, too. If you fall on the floor, you know there is something called ‘gravity’; you don’t need to learn it. (laughter)
There are no opportunities for students outside to do such things. What do they do? Even if they do a service activity, they get credit points on their assessment sheet for it – they do it for the sake of the credits. That is a Western way of thinking – ‘What can I get, what can I get? Credit points, appreciation, certificates, medals?’ No, one’s own inner joy, one’s own happiness should be the motivation.
When you lead a good life and are always happy, it should make them curious – ‘How come this lady is always happy? How come this lady is always so kind? So sweet? So pure? I want to be like her.’ May people like you become their role models, good people who practice ideals, not businessmen, scientists, aristocrats, diplomats, politicians.
Good things take time. To grow a garden – ask a gardener – he has to put in more efforts in weeding out the unwanted things than growing the wanted things. The world is like a jungle; if you are trying to turn it into a garden, it will take time. It will bloom in its own season; you have to have patience. Do what you have to do and wait for the child to blossom in the right season. Don’t scare them. That is another Western way of thinking (laughter); there is fear in everything. If you teach them with fear, they will instil fear in others, too. Love does not know fear, so do it with love! So what if one child at a time changes? We are not here for quantity. In their own sweet time, everybody will change. The important thing is that, if you have changed, you can definitely change ten others. Don’t worry about textbooks, don’t worry about examinations and reexaminations. Worry about whether they are really feeling it within. If they feel it once within, nobody needs to tell them; they will do it themselves, without outside motivations. Do it like that. Don’t worry about the other things, they are all just external.
