Les presentamos una conversación con el Dr. Sundaresh, un cirujano ortopédico que presta servicio en el Hospital General Sri Sathya Sai en Whitefield, Bangalore. El Dr. Sundaresh es quien operó a Swami cuando Swami se fracturó la cadera.

Conversando con él está el Profesor G. Venkataraman, previo Vice Canciller de la Universidad Sri Sathya Sai.

Sairam, Dr. Sundaresh. Estoy encantado de que estés aquí, de haberte podido capturar antes de que te fueras. Te he visto venir muchas veces, y siempre te marchas muy rápido. Esta vez, decidí que de una manera u otra te iba a asaltar y a traerte a Radio Sai, porque hay una gran demanda en nuestros oyentes por saber de ti – ¡por razones bien conocidas! Así que permíteme que te dé la bienvenida a nuestros estudios de grabación en nombre de Radio Sai y de nuestros oyentes, incontables en varios continentes.

No quisiera adularte, pero la realidad es que de una manera u otra eres una de esas personas únicas en la Historia Humana. El Destino te ha puesto en esa posición. Pero antes de hablar de eso, me gustaría saber algo acerca de cómo llegaste a Swami. Obviamente viniste a Swami a través de tu familia, y eso fue hace mucho tiempo, y la vida en aquel entonces era diferente, la relación de los devotos con Swami era diferente, y muy pocos de nosotros sabemos mucho acerca de aquellos tiempos. Así que, porqué no empiezas desde aquellos días...

De hecho, nunca he conocido una vida sin Swami…

¿Qué edad tenías cuando viste a Swami por primera vez?

Dr. S.
Bien, como he dicho, nunca he conocido un tiempo sin Swami, porque cuando nací, mis padres ya conocían a Swami. Le vieron por primera vez en 1948 en Bangalore, y eso sucedió en la residencia de Deewan Poorniah. Alguien les dijo que un tal Sai Baba había venido, y que debieran ir allá. Mi madre hasta cierto punto era devota de Shirdi Baba, y también de Dattatreya, así que ambos decidieron que debían ir. En aquel momento, mi hermana mayor debía de tener unos dos años y medio. Así que fueron y vieron a Swami allí.

Esto debía ser cuando Swami todavía estaba en el templo viejo, porque el presente (Sai Kulwant Hall) fue inaugurado en las celebraciones del Cumpleaños de Swami en el año 1950.

Dr. S.
Si, eso es correcto.

¿Tus padres vinieron a Puttaparthi en aquellos tiempos?

Dr. S.
Si. Aparentemente, allá en la residencia de Deewan Poorniah, Swami le habló a mi padre durante largo rato, y luego tomó a mi hermana sobre Su regazo y jugó con ella. Una de las cosas que le dijo a mi padre fue que vinieran pronto a Puttaparthi.

Por cierto, ¿puedo hacerte una pregunta? ¿Alguna vez Swami jugó contigo?

Dr. S.
¡No, no, que yo recuerde! Después de cierto tiempo, ante esta sugerencia y prácticamente invitación, mis padres visitaron Puttaparthi. En aquellos días, el viaje a Puttaparthi era un viaje muy arduo.

Era, literalmente, una expedición.

Dr. S.
Si, era un viaje de casi 8 a 10 horas para llegar a la morada de Prashanti Nilayam, el templo viejo que en aquel entonces estaba ahí.

Prof. G.V.
¿Hiciste tú alguno de esos viajes?

Dr. S.
Si, yo he hecho algunos de esos viajes, pero no en aquellas condiciones primitivas de ir con carro de bueyes cruzando el lago de Bukkapatnam y todo eso. Nosotros viajábamos en autobús. En aquellos días, el viaje a Puttaparthi era muy duro, pero a pesar de ello, había algún tipo de atracción en Swami que traía a la gente, y que también atrajo a mis padres.

¡El lo llama Atracción Divina!

Dr. S.
Si, por supuesto. Es una Atracción Divina. Es desde aquellos entonces que hemos estado con Swami. Esto sucedió tres años antes de que yo naciera, por ello, insisto en mi afirmación inicial, de que nunca he conocido un tiempo sin Swami. ¡Es un hecho!.......

Un ardiente devoto de Bhagavan, el Dr. Narottam Maharaj Alreja ha trabajado en el conocido  J.J.Hospital de Mumbai  , como su superintendente. Se unió al Hospital General Sri Sathya Sai de  Prashanti Nilayam, como su superintendente en el año 1975 y sirvió casi toda su vida. 

El Dr. Alreja se fusiono a los pies de loto de Bhagavan, el 18 de febrero 2012, en Mumbai.

Yo tenía un preceptor. Él me reveló en el año 1963 que estaba por dejar su cuerpo, ya que era muy viejo. Le pedí un Mantra. Dijo que si,  me daría un mantra para mí, yo sería su shishya y su hijo y que él tendría que nacer de nuevo para ver mi salvación. Dio a conocer asimismo que no era mi gurú,  mi gurú real era alguien a quien él mismo me llevaría a su debido tiempo.

En 1965, fui al ashram de Swami en Brindavan. Hubo un tal Dixit en la puerta. Me dijo que Sai Baba había ido a Ooty y que iba a regresar en 2 o 3 días. Era jueves, alrededor de las 9.30 y tres coches llegaron uno tras otro. En el segundo coche estaba sentado Sai Baba. En ese momento, que había alrededor de seis personas solamente, y nos situamos en línea con las manos juntas. Cuando Él llego a mi, ne preguntó: "Doctor, ¿cuándo has llegado de Bombay? Y ¿qué quieres? ..."Yo le respondí:  que me encontraba desde el día anterior y quería una entrevista con Swami. 

Él dijo: "te llamaré". Luego entró en la cabaña. Después de 45 minutos, salió en un coche y se fue a la ciudad.

Volvió a las 4 pm . En ese momento alrededor de 100 personas se habían reunido. Aparcó el coche a mi lado, pero no me llamo. A eso de 17:15, Dixit comenzó a cerrar las puertas principales. Le dije que Sai Baba me había dicho que me daría una entrevista, y que él amablemente debía averiguar. Él dijo: "Venga mañana". Mientras esta charla que estaba ocurriendo, un vigilante del bungalow llegó corriendo y preguntó: "Algún médico de Bombay está aquí ? Swami lo ha llamado. "

Me dirigieron a la terraza del bungalow y entre en la casa, dejando a mi esposa fuera sentada en una silla en el porche. Swami me miró y me preguntó: "¿Por qué quieres una entrevista?" . Le respondí: "Busco tu Sparshan, Sambashan y bendiciones." Swami volvió a preguntar: "¿Qué quieres?"... Yo le respondí: que por su gracia,  no necesitaba nada... Él dijo: "Sin embargo, es posible que desee algo." ... Esto me llevó a preguntar: "¿Qué puede usted darme?" ... El dijo: "No te pido nada, voy a darte."... Le pregunté: "¿Puedo preguntar algo?".. Se levantó  de su silla y con las manos levantadas, dijo: "Pídeme cualquier cosa que usted quiera, que voy a dártelo." Mi cabeza comenzó tambalearse y luego me di cuenta que mi buddhi me estaba advirtiendo de no pedir cualquier cosa material. Swami dijo: "Sí, sé que tu buddhi es paripakuva (maduro) lo suficiente. ¿Qué quieres?

Le dije: "Quiero shraddha y bhakti." Entonces me abrazó y desapareció la pesadez en mí. Cuando toqué sus pies, sentí que estaba tocando los pies de mi profesor anterior. Por lo tanto, yo estaba totalmente dominado y me rendí a sus pies de loto.

Más tarde, en el Dharmakshetra (Mumbai), Él me dio un mantra "Sai Krishna", junto con un Lingam para hacer abhishekam y beber el agua todas las mañanas. Me uní al de Sri Sathya Sai Hospital General en 1975 durante las celebraciones del 50 º cumpleaños de Bhagaván.

Mi hermana Shanti tenía un tumor en la mama izquierda. Un colega mío médico en el hospital quería una biopsia con una aguja. En consecuencia, se realizó la biopsia. El informe mostró que el cáncer era maligno. Se le mostró al Dr. Ramdas, un cirujano del Hospital Memorial Tata. Fijó una fecha para la operación. Mientras tanto, fui a ver a Swami y le explique así: "Mi hermana menor tiene cáncer en el pecho izquierdo y ella se va a operar." Swami me dio siete paquetes de vibhuti y me preguntó si tenía fe en él. Le dije: "No sé de que." Entonces le di un paquete de vibhuti que se aplicarán en la parte maligna todos los días durante siete días. La operación se fijó para el cuarto día, pero el Dr. Ramdas recibió una llamada de Madrás para una operación urgente. Se fue a Madrás y la operación de mi hermana se pospuso para el día 16. En ese momento, mi hermana se había completado la aplicación de los siete paquetes de vibhuti en la parte afectada según lo prescrito por Swami. Otros informes de investigaciones realizados mostraron que era sólo la inflamación de los tejidos, pero en ausencia de cáncer. La radiografía original que mostraba un tumor maligno y la reciente sin tejidos malignos, se le mostró a un experto, el Dr. Purandare, oncólogo, para su opinión. Opinó que la primera diapositiva mostró neoplasia maligna severa mientras que el otro no mostró ningún rastro de cáncer.

Una vez me llamaron para hacer una autopsia en el cuerpo de José cerca de 45 años de edad que fue encontrado en un pozo en la segunda semana de junio de 1970. Después de la autopsia, me dio la causa de la muerte por ahogamiento , asfixia. A mediados de agosto, un inspector de policía se acercó y me dijo que él y yo estábamos en problemas, ya que el cuerpo tuvo que ser exhumado y hacer una segunda autopsia. Yo le dije: "Tú cuídate y cuando llegue el momento, yo sé lo que hacer." Según lo informado por el Inspector de Policía, el Comisionado de Policía, el Sr. John Croft y el médico forense Dr. Majumdar fueron al hospital,  le dije que el cuerpo tuvo que ser exhumado. Fuimos al cementerio de la iglesia donde fue enterrado el cuerpo. El sacerdote mostró la carta y el ataúd fue llevado  y se mantuvo al aire libre. Le dije al señor John Croft que según las reglas de un nuevo panchanama que había que hacer. Hizo un llamamiento al hermano del fallecido y sus familiares. para que nos muestren las lesiones y fracturas que denunciaron ellos. Volvieron el cuerpo boca abajo, pero no había lesiones o fracturas. El Comisionado de Policía reprendió a los familiares por hacer denuncia falsa.

El  policía cirujano Dr. Majumdar se llevó una copia de mi informe de autopsia anterior y escribió lo mismo, es decir, "causa de la muerte:. La asfixia por ahogamiento" Después de la autopsia había terminado, empezó a llover. Corrí a mi coche y me metí dentro. De repente me di cuenta de que el cuerpo estaba tan fresco como la primera vez que se realizó la autopsia. Fue saponificación o  momificación? Les dije que se quite la tapa del ataúd y para mi sorpresa, encontré un conglomerado de carne descompuesta en lugar del cuerpo. Posteriormente, cuando me reuní con Swami tiempo siguiente, le pregunté acerca de este milagro. Él dijo, "me quedé con el cuerpo fresco durante dos meses, en una sola pieza para preservar su integridad y buen nombre."

Una vez estaba sentado en la terraza del mandir y los bhajans de la noche estaban en ejecución. En medio de los bhajans, Swami vino a la terraza y me dijo que había recibido un telegrama de la madre de Kumar (un ex-alumno del instituto de Bhagavan), Smt. Seethalakshmi, y que estaba gravemente enferma y que debía ir a verla.

Fui a su habitación y la encontraron inconsciente. No había aguja de insulina y frasco de insulina sobre la mesa cercana. Yo sabía que era diabético. Ella tenia una hipoglucemia. Le puse un poco de glucosa en la boca junto con el agua. Repetí el proceso hasta que se recuperó.

Volví a la terraza y le dije a Swami: "Ella había tomado la insulina sin alimentos." Y yo más le dije: "Yo no vi ningún cartero con el telegrama". Swami dijo que su hijo había orado ante la fotografía de Swami para que cuidara de su madre y que era el telegrama. Esto es suficiente para probar la omnipresencia de Swami.

Una vez que Swami me llamó a su residencia a las 1:30 pm y dijo que se sentía intranquilo y me pidió que tomara su presión arterial. Siempre me permitía tomar la PA sobre su lado derecho. 

Era de  80/56 y el pulso 48 por minuto. Él me miró y me preguntó si había algo serio. Le dije: no puede haber nada serio con Swami. Él dijo: "La expresión de su rostro cambió." Entonces me dijo: "Quiero tomar la PA en el lado izquierdo." Y era de 120/80 y la frecuencia del pulso fue de 72 por minuto. "

Ahora dije el diagnóstico". Le respondí: "¿Tienes un ataque al corazón con una obstrucción de la arteria. Usted dice que son Siva Shakti Swarupa. Siva en el lado derecho se había hecho cargo del ataque al corazón de un bhakta de Siva. En el lado izquierdo, aspecto Shakti no fue afectado. Esto demuestra médicamente que Tú eres Siva Shakti ". Swami dijo:" Mira en la parte derecha del pecho y el brazo,  hay pelo. En el lado izquierdo del pecho y el brazo, no hay pelo. "

"Tengo un lunar en la mejilla izquierda. Cuando usted mira a mi espalda, me veo como una señora y desde la parte frontal, mi rostro es el de Siva ". Le supliqué a tomar algún descanso. Swami me preguntó: "¿Cómo puedo tomar un descanso y no salir para el darshan, cuando tantos devotos están esperando?" 

Le pedí: "Por la tarde de hoy, por lo menos, usted llegue hasta el Mandir durante los Bhajan, tomar Arati y volver rápidamente."

An ardent devotee of Bhagawan, Dr. Narottam Maharaj Alreja has worked in the well known J.J.Hospital, Mumbai as its Superintendent. He joined the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital, Prasanthi Nilayam as its Superintendent in the year 1975 and served almost his entire life. Dr. Alreja merged at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet on 18th Feb 2012 in Mumbai.

I had a preceptor. He revealed to me in the year 1963 that he was casting off his body, as it had become old. I requested him for a Mantra. He said if he gave a Mantra to me, I would be his shishya and son and that he would have to take birth again to see my salvation. He further revealed that he was not my guru and that my real guru was someone else to whom he would himself take me in due course of time.

In 1965, I went to Swami’s ashram at Brindavan. There was one Dixit at the gate. He told me that Sai Baba had gone to Ooty and that He would come back in 2 or 3 days’ time. It was Thursday, about 9.30 a.m. Three cars arrived one after the other. In the second car was seated Sai Baba. At that time, there were about six persons only, who stood in line with folded hands. When He passed me, He enquired, “Doctor, when did you come from Bombay? And what do you want?” I replied that I came the previous day and wanted an interview with Swami. He said, “I will call you.” Then He went inside the bungalow. After 45 minutes, He came out in a car and went to the city.

He returned at 4 p.m. By that time about 100 people had gathered. He parked the car by my side, but did not call me. At about 5.15 p.m., Dixit started to close the main gates. I told him that Sai Baba had told me He would give me an interview, and that he should kindly find out. He said, “Come tomorrow.” While this talk was going on, a watchman from the bungalow came running and asked, “Any Bombay doctor is there? Swami has called him.” I rushed to the verandah of the bungalow and went inside leaving my wife outside sitting in a chair in the verandah. Swami looked at me and enquired, “Why you want an interview?” I replied, “I seek your Sparshan, Sambashan and blessings.” Swami again asked, “What do you want?” I replied that by His grace I did not need anything. He said, “Still, you may want something.” This prompted me to ask, “What can You give?” He said, “You ask anything, I will give.” I enquired, “Can I ask anything?” He got up from His chair and with His raised hands, He said, “You ask anything that you want, I will give.” My head started reeling and then I realised my buddhi was cautioning me not to ask for any material thing. Swami said, “Yes, I know your buddhi is paripakuva (ripe) enough. What do you want?

I said, “I want shraddha and bhakti.” Then He embraced me. My hair stood on its end and the tiresomeness in me disappeared. When I touched His feet, I felt that I was touching the feet of my earlier preceptor. Thus, I was totally subdued and I surrendered at His Lotus Feet.

Later on, at Dharmakshetra (Mumbai), He gave me a Mantra “Sai Krishna” along with a Lingam to do abhishekam and drink the water every morning. I joined the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital in 1975 during Bhagawan’s 50th Birthday celebrations.

My sister Shanti had a tumour in her left breast. A doctor colleague of mine in the hospital wanted a needle biopsy done for her. Accordingly, the biopsy was done. The report showed malignant cancer. She was shown to Dr. Ramdas, a surgeon at Tata Memorial Hospital. He fixed a date for operation. Meanwhile, I went to see Swami and explained to Him thus: “My younger sister has cancer on her left breast and she is to be operated upon.” Swami gave me seven packets of vibhuti and enquired if she had any faith in Him. I said, “I don’t know that.” Then I gave her one vibhuti packet to be applied on the malignant part everyday for seven days. The operation was fixed for the fourth day, but Dr. Ramdas got a call from Madras for an urgent operation. He went to Madras and my sister’s operation was postponed to the 16th day. By that time, my sister had completed applying the seven packets of vibhuti on the affected portion as prescribed by Swami. Further reports of investigations done showed there was only inflammation of tissues, but no malignancy. The original slide showing malignancy and the recent one with non-malignant tissues were shown to an expert, Dr. Purandare, oncologist, for opinion. He opined that the first slide showed severe malignancy whereas the other showed no trace of cancer.

Once I was called upon to do a postmortem on the body of one Joseph about 45 years of age which was found in a well in the second week of June 1970. After the postmortem, I gave the cause of death as asphyxia due to drowning. In the middle of August, a Police Inspector came and told me that he and me were in trouble as the body had to be exhumed and a second postmortem done. I told him, “You look after yourself and when time comes, I know what to do.” As informed by the Police Inspector, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Croft and the Police Surgeon Dr. Majumdar came to the hospital and told me that the body had to be exhumed and re-postmortemed. We went to the cemetery of the church where the body was buried. The priest showed the chart and the coffin was taken out and kept in the open. I told Mr. John Croft that as per rules a fresh panchanama had to be done. He called upon the brother of the deceased and his relatives to show us the injuries and fractures as complained by them. They turned the body upside down, but no injuries or fractures were found. The Commissioner of Police rebuked the relatives for making false allegation.

The police surgeon Dr. Majumdar took a copy of my previous postmortem report and wrote ditto, i.e., “cause of death: asphyxia due to drowning.” After the postmortem was over, it started raining. I ran to my car and got inside. I suddenly realised that the body was as fresh as when I first conducted the postmortem. Was it saponification or mummification? I told them to take off the lid over the coffin and to my surprise found a conglomeration of decomposed flesh instead of the body. Subsequently, when I met Swami next time, I asked Him about this miracle. He said, “I kept the body fresh for two months as one piece to preserve your integrity and good name.”

Once I was sitting in the verandah of the mandir and evening bhajan was going on. In the middle of the bhajan, Swami came out in the verandah and told me that He had received a telegram that Kumar’s (an alumnus of Bhagawan’s institute) mother, Smt. Seethalakshmi was seriously ill and that I should go and see her.

I went to her room and found her unconscious. There was an Insulin needle and insulin vial lying on the table nearby. I knew that she was a diabetic. She was in hypoglycaemia. I put some glucose in her mouth along with water. I repeated the process till she recovered.

I went back to the verandah and told Swami, “She had taken insulin without having food.” I further told Him, “I did not see any postman with telegram”. Swami said that her son had prayed before Swami’s photograph to look after his mother and that was the telegram. This is enough to prove Swami’s omnipresence.

Once Swami called me to His residence at 1.30 p.m. and said that He was feeling uneasy and asked me to take count of His blood pressure. He always allowed me to take BP on His right side. When I took BP, it was 80/56 and pulse rate 48 per minute. He looked at me and enquired whether there was anything serious. I said, there cannot be anything serious with Swami. He said, “The expression on your face changed.” Then I said, “I want to take BP on the left side.” When I took BP, it was 120/80 and pulse rate was 72 per minute. “Now come out with your diagnosis”, He said. I replied: “You got a heart attack with a blockage of the artery. You say that You are Siva Shakti Swarupa. Siva on the right side had taken over the heart attack of a Siva bhakta. On the left side, Shakti aspect was unaffected. This proves medically that You are Siva Shakti.” Swami said, “See on the right chest and arm, there is hair. On the left side of My chest and arm, there is no hair.”

“I have got a mole on the left cheek. When you look at My back, I look like a lady and from the front side, My face is that of Siva”. I pleaded with Him to take some rest. Swami asked me, “How can I take rest and not come out for darshan when so many devotees are waiting?” I further requested, “For today evening at least, You just come to Mandir for Bhajan, take Arati and go back.”

Cuando Bhagavan Baba fue ingresado en el hospital, los informes de terremotos tantos menores como mayores están sucediendo en varias partes de esta tierra, casi  3 o 4 de ellos cada semana. Creo que todo el mundo estaba siguiendo esta noticia en los medios de comunicación, con regularidad.

Recordando hacia atrás, me había enviado un mensaje sobre este asunto, como me lo revelo a mí Bhagavan Baba. Swami me había explicado claramente sobre la crisis en el seno de la Madre Tierra (Bhoo Garbha), y cómo Bhagavan tenía que aplicar su compasión y  misericordia hacia la humanidad, arriesgando su propia vida. 

 Swami había declarado entonces que tenía que absorber los efectos, después del terremoto en Japón. Bhagavan también había dicho que era Él  que había minimizado los efectos impensados de la radiación nuclear. 

En una entrevista, hace varios años, Bhagavan había dicho al señor RK Karanjia, editor de "The Blitz", que este avatar tenía que venir a salvar al mundo de un holocausto nuclear. 

Bhagavan Baba absorbió  la radiación radiactiva procedente de la explosión de varios reactores nucleares de Japón, uno no podría ni imaginar, hasta qué punto el desastre habría sido.

El sacrificio de Bhagavan había hecho posible que los habitantes de esta Tierra Madre,  respiraran y vivieran en libertad.

Swami había mencionado que se trata de la codicia de la gente, que habían hecho al explotar los recursos minerales y otros derivados del petróleo, causando agitación en el garbha Bhoo (el vientre de la Madre Tierra).

Cuando los gobernantes en el mundo van a despertar y tomar nota de los riesgos que están causando a las futuras generaciones del pueblo terrenal ?... ¿Van a empezar a pensar y empezar a planificar para salvar los valiosos recursos por un consumo racional?

Sólo podemos rezar a nuestro Señor Sai,  para que continué protegiendo a la humanidad.

The merciful Lord, Bhagavan Baba
Saved the Mother Earth.

Since Bhagavan Baba was admitted in the hospital, reports of so many minor and major earth quakes are coming out, from various parts of this earth, almost 3 or 4 of them every week. I believe everyone is following this news in the media, regularly.

Long back, I had sent out a message in this matter, as revealed to me by Bhagavan Baba. Swami had vividly explained about the turmoil in the womb of Mother Earth (Bhoo Garbha) and how Bhagavan had, out of compassion and mercy towards the humanity had risked his own life. Swami had then declared that he had to absorb the effects of the massive after effects of Earth quake in Japan. Bhagavan had also said that it was Bhagavan who had minimized the unthinkable effects of nuclear radiation. In an interview, several years ago, Bhagavan had told Mr. R.K.Karanjia, Editor of “The Blitz’ that this avatar had to come to save the globe from a nuclear holocaust. But for Bhagavan Baba, absorbing the Radioactive radiation emanating from the bursting of several Nuclear Reactors of Japan, one could not even imagine to what extend the disaster would have been.

The sacrifice of Bhagavan had made it possible for residents of this Mother Earth, to breathe free and live on.

Swami had mentioned that it is the greed of the people, which had made them to exploit the mineral and other petroleum resources, causing turmoil in the Bhoo garbha (the womb of Mother Earth).

When are the rulers in the world going to wake up and take note of the risk they are causing for the future generations of the earthly people? Will they start thinking and start planning to save the precious resources by judicious consumption?

We can only pray to our Lord, Sai to continue to protect the humanity.

Esto sucedió en 1985, un pequeño niño de la escuela primaria en Prashanti Nilayam fue a su director y le pidio que quería ver a Bhagavan, El Guardián, naturalmente, no podía hacer nada y dijo que podría tener el Darshan sólo el jueves y el domingo,  ya que los niños de primaria van al Mandir sólo en esos días, ese día era lunes, por lo tanto faltaban dos días para verlo. 

El estudiante volvió a clase con lágrimas en los ojos y un corazón apesadumbrado. De repente, hubo una conmoción en la puerta de la escuela primaria que está siempre cerrada, el coche de Bhagavan estaba esperando para entrar, El alcaide se apresuró a recibir a Bhagavan, Swami fue a cada salón de clases y cuando entró en la sala de quinto grado, el llamo al Niño que quería ver a Swami, y le dijo:  "Hoy no es jueves ni domingo, pero su corazón estaba abierto y quería verme por eso he venido"

Cuando tu corazón está abierto al Señor, Él siempre va a responder en todo momento.

This happened in 1985, A small boy in the Primary School in Prasanthi Nilayam went to his warden and asked that He wanted to see Bhagawan, The Warden naturally was helpless and said that he could have Darshan only on Thursday and Sunday as the Primary School Boys go to the Mandir only on those days , That Day was a Monday so the two days were a long way off for him. The student went back to class with tears in his eyes and a heavy heart. Suddenly there was a Commotion in the Primary School gate which is always closed, Bhagawan's Car was waiting to come in, The warden rushed to receive Bhagawan,Swami went to each classroom and when he entered the 5th Class Room, the called the Boy who wanted to see Swami," Today is neither Thursday or a Sunday,but your heart was open and wanted to see me so I came"

When your heart is open to the Lord, He will always respond at all times.

Para ganar la gracia de Dios, tienes que orar con el poder personificado con nombre y forma, es tu anhelo el que decide en qué forma el Señor aparece. 

Tu llama y Él responderá. Si tu no eres serio, si tu, eres indiferente, y dices: "Que venga cuando quiera, en la forma que le guste y con el nombre que Él prefiera," Él no va a aparecer. 

Llámalo a él, con angustia, y Él responderá.

To earn the grace of God, you have to pray to the personified power with name and form; it is your yearning that decides in what form the Lord appears. You call and He answers. If you are not earnest, if you feel indifferent, and say, "Let Him come when He wills, in the form He likes and with the name He prefers," He will not come at all. Call on Him with anguish; He will respond.

El Señor Krishna es el que enseñó el camino de la sabiduría y estableció la verdad de que la calidad del amor es común a todos. 

Él perdonó incluso a las personas con cualidades demoníacas, como Duryodhana y Dussasana. 

Aunque Karna se unió a las fuerzas del mal, él era un hombre de nobles cualidades. 

Por lo tanto, el Señor Krishna elogió sus cualidades.

Lord Krishna is the one who taught the path of wisdom and established the truth that the quality of love is common to all. 

He forgave even people with demonic qualities, like Duryodhana and Dussasana. 

Though Karna joined the evil forces, he was a man of noble qualities. 

Hence, Lord Krishna praised his qualities.

 Karna did not have even a trace of ego and attachment. 

He was a great warrior and a person of highest charity. 

One should therefore emulate his noble qualities. 

On should hear good things and put them into practice.

Los detractores dicen que el 'juego de manos' y 'trucos de magia "le ganó seguidores que eran crédulos e ingenuos. Los devotos dicen que las manifestaciones físicas, "le ganaron acérrimos críticos, que estaban tan ciegos y duros de corazón que se negaron a ver a los millones de vidas que afectaba positivamente.

La vida y la historia de Sri Sathya Sai Baba, parece recordarnos a un árbol cargado de frutas, que siempre recibe piedras. Mientras que algunas piedras fueron lanzadas para disfrutar y saborear los dulces frutos, algunos fueron expulsados, ya que parece muy tentador en ese momento!

Por supuesto, no puede ser aceptado como un profeta. ¿Qué religión se le designaría? Él sólo reunió a la humanidad bajo los principios de la hermandad del hombre y  la paternidad de Dios. En un mundo que está al borde del desastre religioso debido a los fanáticos, exhortó a un hindú a ser un mejor hindú, un musulmán a ser un mejor musulmán y un cristiano, para ser un mejor cristiano. El símbolo que él diseñó para representar a la organización, contaba con representaciones de todas las grandes religiones del mundo.

Todos, desde los monjes tibetanos a los eruditos islámicos, los expertos hindúes a los padres cristianos, a los gurús sijs y predicadores budistas lo visitaron y fueron recibidos con gusto, y con amor por sus seguidores. Ellos se sorprendieron con el profundo conocimiento de su religión, y a menudo admiraban los conocimientos que proporcionaban. 

El 'Vahini ", serie de libros del que Sai fue autor,  transmitió las más grandes verdades espirituales en términos sencillos y prácticos , todo lo que uno tiene que hacer es escoger una y leerlo! . 

Pero aún así, ¿cómo puede ser un profeta, cuando no se ha iniciado una nueva religión?

El mundo lo venera por sus enormes proyectos de bienestar social - sistemas de agua potable, hospitales de súper especiales y la educación superior gratuita. Los críticos también reconocen este hecho, mientras el desfile de seguidores queda como prueba de su divinidad. Y en eso, ambos parecen perder el punto. Sathya Sai Baba nunca creyó en algunos edificios para hacer del mundo un lugar mejor,  él creía en las ideas.

Las escuelas y las universidades fueron el resultado de las ideas,  de que la educación es un proceso que se lleva a cabo dentro de lo que ya está latente en el individuo. Y ese tesoro latente es amor, verdad, rectitud, paz, comprensión y compasión,  los que se inculcaron a todos los estudiantes para hacerlos patentes. El Sathya Sai Grama Seva o servicio del pueblo, donde cada estudiante durante una semana va a las aldeas para la distribución de alimentos y ropa, se instituyó, no tanto para servir a los pobres, sino para empaparse de las ideas, el espíritu y la alegría del servicio, en el estudiante. El rector de la Universidad,  siempre aconsejo a los estudiantes a obtener un buen nombre para ellos mismos, sus padres y su Alma Mater. 

Él les dijo que habían recibido una buena educación sin cargo, porque la educación es derecho de nacimiento, de cada uno y es no necesario estar agradecido de ello. Sin embargo, la gratitud, sin embargo, se convirtió en una parte de la vida de cada estudiante, como fue la perpetuación de este servicio.

Los hospitales y proyectos de agua surgieron porque sentía que el cuidado del agua y médicos estaban entre las necesidades primordiales de las personas. No deben ser una adquisición costosa. Mucho se ha escrito acerca de estos proyectos, pero muy poco se ha dicho acerca de cómo quería que la gente bebiera ese espíritu de servicio y amor. "Cuando una espina pincha el pie, la mano se dirige automáticamente a sacarla sin sentir que está ayudando a los pies. Así es como el servicio tiene que ser representado. "

Y, sin embargo, dicen que se rodeó de los ricos, lo popular y la élite! Esa forma de hablar sólo muestra que las personas que lo cometen, no se han tomado la molestia de visitarlo aunque sea una vez. Si sus interacciones con los pobres, el sufrimiento y el abandono no se conocen, es sólo porque no han prestado atención . 

La visita de Sachin Tendulkar para rendirle homenaje, fue malinterpretada a través de los medios de comunicación en todas sus formas, pero no vemos ninguna mención del proyecto de vivienda masiva que hizo para las víctimas de las inundaciones de Orissa, o los programas integrados Village que trazó para las regiones tribales de Oriente y Occidente del Godavari en Andhra Pradesh.

Y cuando se trataba de la pregunta, "¿Quién eres tú? ¿Eres Dios? ", Su respuesta siempre era:" Descubre quién eres tu . Y te darás cuenta de que tú también eres Dios. 

"Divinidad no se hace, se es, y tiene que ser aceptada por la gente. Seamos honestos y justos. Si alguno de nosotros reclama la divinidad, ascendiendo a un púlpito, cual sera el número de seguidores que tenemos, en digamos, 80 años a partir de ahora? 

Comenzando como un niño pobre en un pueblo propenso a la sequía, que no había oído el sonido de un vehículo de motor, ha tener millones de seguidores en todo el mundo, es un logro. 

Tiró sus libros de historia un día y hoy, él ha entrado en los libros de historia. Pero siempre empujo al pueblo diciendo: "Todos ustedes son Dios. simplemente no son conscientes de ello ".

"En las generaciones futuras serán escasos los que crean que una persona como esta, en carne y hueso, caminó sobre esta tierra.".

Fue lo que dijo Einstein de Mahatma Gandhi. Las historias increíbles de la gracia de Sathya Sai es tal que incluso cuando caminaba sobre la tierra, la gente encontró difícil de creerlas. Muchos llegaron, y vieron con sus propios ojos, experimentando en su propio ser y lo aceptaron como su Señor. No obstante, algunos optaron por quedarse en sus propias pequeños mundos, felices de la crítica mordaz. "¿Por qué estudiar algo que es imposible? "parece ser el teorema. 

"Cuando algo es imposible, incluso si millones hablan en términos elogiosos sobre él, tiene que ser falso y todo el mundo debe estar loco", es el corolario automático!

No hay ninguna diferencia entre el detractor y devoto, cuando se trata de su pasión,  intensidad y creencia. Esta es una diferencia importante sin embargo. Mientras que los informes de citas antiguas, periódicos, artículos y relatos,  son escritos para enfatizar la crítica, este último sólo hablaba de la profunda convicción que nace de la experiencia personal! .

Y que muestra por qué a algunos parece sonarles a todo volumen, y hacer exclamaciones,  mientras que el otro parece fundirse en el silencio, cuando se enfrentan. La justificación de la cabeza no parece ganar impulso suficiente para dominar a la convicción del corazón!

Y es por eso, que aquellos que lo han experimentado en sus corazones se niegan a aceptar que él haya "muerto". Para ellos, él vive para siempre y  reciben orientación y ayuda cuando lo necesitan. Ellos no tienen dudas en eso y no ven la necesidad de convencer a nadie de ello. Ese es el poder de los que lo han observado y experimentado. Recuerdo a Albert Einstein, cuando se burlaban de su propuesta del efecto fotoeléctrico. Cuando la ciencia hubo evolucionado a lo largo de un siglo para demostrar que la luz es una onda y no una partícula, allí había alguien considerado un genio, que basa su efecto en la premisa de que la luz era una partícula! El efecto fotoeléctrico que le dio , en 190,  ganar el premio Nobel en 1921.

Cuando la teoría y la experimentación parecen estar en conflicto con la observación y la experiencia, no debemos ir con la experiencia?

The detractors say that ‘sleight of hand’ and ‘magic tricks’ won him followers who were gullible and naive. The devotees say that ‘physical manifestations’ earned him die-hard critics who were so blind and hard-hearted that they refused to see the millions of lives he positively affected.

The life and history of Sri Sathya Sai Baba seems to remind one of the proverbial tree laden with fruit - it always receives stones. While some stones were cast to enjoy and relish the sweet fruits, some were cast because it seems so tempting to just do it!

Of course, he cannot be accepted as a prophet. What religion did he establish? He just brought together humanity under the principles of the brotherhood of man and the fatherhood of god. In a world that stands on the brink of religious disaster due to self-centered zealots, he exhorted a Hindu to be a better Hindu, a Muslim to be a better Muslim and a Christian to be a better Christian. The symbol that he designed to represent the organisation had representations from all the major religions of the world.

Everyone from the Tibetan Monks to the Islamic scholars, Hindu pundits to Christian fathers, Sikh gurus to Buddhist preachers visited him and were received warmly with love by his followers. They were amazed with his deep understanding of their religion and often admired the insights he provided. The ‘Vahini’ series of books that he authored convey the greatest spiritual Truths in easy and practical terms - all one has to do is to pick one and read it! But still, how can he be a
prophet when he did not start a new religion?

The world credits him for his massive social welfare projects - drinking water schemes, super specialty hospitals and free higher education. The critics also acknowledge that fact while the followers parade it as proof of his divinity. And in that, both seem to miss the point. Sathya Sai Baba never believed in a few buildings (however big or grand) making the world a better place as he believed in a few ideas.

The schools and university were a result of the idea that Education is a process of bringing out from within what is already latent in an individual. And that latent treasure is love, truth, right conduct, peace, understanding and compassion which he exhorted every student to make patent. The Sathya Sai Grama seva or village service, where every student spends a week going to villages distributing food and clothes, was instituted not so much to serve the poor but to imbibe the idea, spirit and joy of service in the student. As the chancellor of the University, he always advised the students to get a good name for
themselves, their parents and their Alma Mater. He told them that they had received good education without a fee because education is everyone’s birthright and they need not feel grateful about it. But the gratitude, however, became a part of every student’s life as he/she went about perpetuating this service.

The hospitals and water projects arose because he felt that water and medical care were people’s right. They should not be a costly purchase. Much has been written about these projects but very little has been said about how he wanted people to imbibe the spirit of service and love. “When a thorn pricks the foot, the hand automatically goes to remove it without feeling that it is helping the foot. That is how service has to be rendered.”

And yet, they say that he surrounded himself with the rich, the popular and the elite! Such talk only shows that people indulging in it have not bothered to visit him even once. If his interactions with the poor, the suffering and the helpless are not known, it is only because attention has not been drawn to them. Sachin Tendulkar’s visit to pay homage to him was splashed across media in every form but we see no mention of the massive housing project that he made for the
flood victims of Orissa or the Village Integrated programmes he charted for the tribal regions of East and West Godavari in Andhra Pradesh.

And when it came to the question, “Who are you? Are you God?”, his reply always was, “Find out who you are. You will realize that you too are God.” Godhood is not donned, it has to be accepted by people. Let us be honest and fair. If any of us claim godhood by ascending a pulpit, how many followers will we have in, say, 80 years from now? Starting as a poor boy in a drought-prone village that had not heard the sounds of a motor vehicle, having millions of followers world-wide
is some achievement. He threw away his history books one day and today, he has entered history books. But when it came to Godhood, he always thrust back Godhood on the people saying, “You are all God. you just are not aware of it" , reminiscent of “God you think, God you are; Dust you think, dust you are” isn't it?

“Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth.” was what Einstein said of Mahatma Gandhi. The amazing stories of grace of Sathya Sai are such that even when he walked upon the earth, people found it hard to believe. Many came, saw with their own eyes, experienced in their own beings and accepted him as their Lord. Some however chose to stay in their own little coops, happy to heap scathing criticism. “Why explore
something that is impossible?” seems to be the theorem. “When something is impossible, even if millions speak in glowing terms about it, it must be false and everyone must be crazy” is the automatic corollary!

There is no difference between the detractor and devotee when it comes to his/her passion, intensity and belief.There is one major difference however. While the former quotes reports, newspapers, articles and written accounts to emphasize the criticism, the latter only speaks of deep conviction born from personal experience! And that shows why one seems to blare louder to make a point while the other seems to melt into silence when confronted. The rationale of the head never seems to gather enough momentum to overpower the conviction of the heart!

And that is why, those that have experienced him in their hearts refuse to accept that he has ‘died’. For them, he lives on forever and they receive guidance and help whenever they need. They have no doubts in that and they see no need to convince anyone else about it. That is the power of what one has observed and experienced. Reminds one of Albert Einstein when he was scoffed at his proposal of the photoelectric effect. When science had evolved over a century to prove that light was a wave and not a particle, here was someone considered a genius who based his effect on the premise that light was a particle! The photoelectric effect which he gave in 1905 won the Nobel prize in 1921.

When theory and experiment seem to clash with observation and experience, should we not go with the experience?
