SATHYA SAI BABA - FORMA FÍSICA Y FORMA SUTIL.

Quiero compartir algunos hechos importantes acerca de la forma sutil de nuestro amado Señor, Sri Sathya Sai Baba, acerca de la cual ha circulado mucha información errónea y, por lo tanto, han desviado a muchos devotos de su camino hacia Dios.

Tenga en cuenta que he hecho muchos viajes a Puttaparthi, Whitefield y Kodaikanal desde 1972 y he disfrutado de la Divina Felicidad de Sathya Sai. También he visitado el Mahasamadhi en Prasanthi Nilayam después de 2011 muchas veces y he sentido la misma energía divina y vibraciones como antes.

En 2014, visité Muddenahalli por primera vez, ese Ashram también fue establecido por Sathya Sai Baba. Sentí que el lugar estaba lleno de paz y vibraciones muy positivas. La gente allí era muy cariñosa. Fui atendido por un joven que era profesor de IT en otro instituto, pero que había venido a Muddenahalli como un voluntario, ya que había un campamento médico en marcha. Aunque era domingo, él y sus otros amigos de IT habían venido allí para ayudar a los visitantes. Me mostró el ashram completo, incluyendo Sathya Sai Anandam que es la residencia de Sathya Sai en lo alto de la colina. Es bellísima y llena de energía Divina. El lugar estaba lleno de paz. Me impresionó mucho la hospitalidad y las vibraciones de bondad en todo el ashram. Durante ese tiempo no hubo ninguna mención sobre Madhusudhan. Me informaron que Sri B.N. Narasimha Murthy, quien ha estado con Sathya Sai durante casi 50 años, y que estaba a cargo del Campus de Muddenahalli, estaba visitando otros lugares para construir y establecer una nueva Institución Educativa Sai allí.

En 2016, volví a visitar Muddenahalli nuevamente, cuando oí algo de información negativa acerca de este hermoso ashram, así como sobre un exalumno de la universidad Sathya Sai y el respetado Sri Narasimha Murthy. Fui a comprobarlo por mí mismo y no confiar en la información externa, ya que el ashram realmente me había impresionado mucho. En los últimos meses se había construido un grande y hermoso Auditorio y se suponía que el Satsang sería en este nuevo salón. Así que fui y me senté en el salón. Éste era extremadamente hermoso y muy bien decorado. Después de un tiempo los bhajans comenzaron y Madhusudhan (exestudiante de Swami) entró en el salón, seguido por Sri Narasimha Murthy. Madhusudhan hablaba con los devotos y también recogía cartas. Fueron al escenario y se sentaron en sus respectivas sillas. El escenario estaba bellamente decorado con 2 estatuas, una de Shirdi Sai y la otra de Sathya Sai, un trono hermoso para Sathya Sai y dos sillas donde Madhu y Narasimha Murthy se sentaron. El ambiente general era muy inspirador.

El Satsang comenzó con algunos anuncios de los varios proyectos educativos que estaban en curso o terminados. Como era el día de Ramanami, Sri Narasimha Murthy habló sobre el Ramayana y relató algunos hechos impresionantes sobre la historia de Rama. Entonces Madhusudhan habló en telugu y Sri Narasimha Murthy tradujo en inglés. Antes de comenzar el Discurso Divino, Madhu dijo: "Percibo a Baba sentado en el trono con una túnica naranja y repito lo que Él dice". Madhu habló sobre El Ramayana durante 60 minutos y dio algunas revelaciones aún más impresionantes, nunca antes escuchadas y que no se encuentran en ninguna versión del Ramayana. "Lágrimas de Rama". El discurso era muy esclarecedor y pronunciado de la misma manera en que Swami solía darlo antes. Como un creyente muy estricto del Ramayana, yo estaba muy feliz de ser consciente de tantos eventos del Ramayana que me eran desconocidos. Estaba muy feliz.

Otra cosa que me asombró es que Madusudhan, que es del centro-norte de la India, habló en Telugu que no es su lengua materna, y lo hizo sin parar y muy rápido por 60 minutos, sin una sola pausa e incluso corrigió a Narasimha Murthy cuando él cometió un error u omitió una cierta palabra, o no pudo encontrar la palabra adecuada para traducir. Yo estaba observándolo todo con mucho cuidado. Entonces, Madhusudhan respondió espontáneamente a las diversas preguntas de los devotos. Todo esto me dejó estupefacto. Salí del vestíbulo muy entusiasmado tanto espiritualmente como mentalmente. Esa única visita, un darshan y un discurso, cambiaron completamente mi mentalidad. Acepté a Madhusudhan como el comunicador de la forma sutil de nuestro amado Señor Sathya Sai, ya que sólo Swami y nadie más podría haber dado ese discurso y respondido a tantos devotos satisfaciendo sus preguntas de la misma manera que antes. Les pido a los devotos que vayan a Muddenahalli y experimenten por sí mismos, en lugar de prestar atención a la información negativa que circula por otros devotos quienes no han experimentado la forma sutil.

Swami (Sathya Sai) siempre inspiró a los devotos a creer y tener fe en sí mismos y que no deberían prestar atención a aquellas personas que dicen recibir mensajes de Él y recaudar dinero para su propio interés egoísta, porque en aquellos días había personas que estaban usando el nombre sagrado de Sathya Sai para la recaudación de fondos. Swami habló abiertamente contra estas malas prácticas. Swami también dejó claro que Su conexión con Sus devotos es de "Corazón a Corazón". Todo esto es verdad hasta la fecha, si analizamos cuidadosamente estas importantes declaraciones usando nuestro Corazón en lugar de nuestra Cabeza, y tenemos Fe en nosotros mismos en lugar de tener Fe en las palabras de otras personas. Swami siempre hacía mayor hincapié en la visión interior que en la visión externa.

Swami también ha mencionado repetidamente que todos somos Atmas. Siempre se dirigía a nosotros como Divya Atma. También dijo que no hay diferencia entre ustedes y Yo. Todos ustedes son Dios, ustedes son templos en movimiento. Dios está dentro de ti así como en la otra persona. También insistió en que no debemos estar apegados a Su forma, la cual perecerá y que tenemos que concentrarnos en Su atributo Sin Forma, que es el Real o verdadero Sai. Tenemos que reflexionar cuidadosamente sobre todas las declaraciones divinas hechas por Swami y sólo entonces nos daremos cuenta de que no hay absolutamente ninguna discrepancia entre las proclamaciones de Swami durante Su estancia física y lo que vemos y experimentamos ahora en Muddenahalli. Tenemos que pensar desde el Corazón, el cual nos guiará correctamente, y no con la Cabeza, la cual sólo generará confusión debido a nuestro apego a la forma física de Swami.

Swami había mencionado que continuaría su misión hasta los 95 años. Durante su forma física estableció dos Hospitales de Superespecialidades, Hospitales Generales, Instituciones Educativas, Universidades, proyectos de agua y muchos otros proyectos sociales y humanitarios, todos gratuitos. Esto, todos sabemos que fue financiado por el Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, establecido y controlado por Swami, que recibió y recibe contribuciones voluntarias de los devotos y otras personas para mantener los diversos proyectos iniciados por Swami.

Pero, Swami dejó Su cuerpo físico a la edad de 85 años. Así pues, había un intervalo de 10 años por terminar. Esto, como creo, era todo un Leela o Juego Divino de Swami, ya que Él ya había planeado continuar Su misión a una velocidad muy grande durante los últimos 10 años, la cual no la podía llevar a cabo debido a la mala salud de Su cuerpo físico.

Ésto está siendo observado ahora. Swami informó a Narasimha Murthy, quien estaba a cargo del campus de Muddenahalli, para que se construyera una residencia para Él en Muddenahalli, donde residiría. El propio Swami eligió el lugar que ahora está muy bellamente ubicado en una colina, con hermosos alrededores e instalaciones aptas para Swami, ya que Narasimha Murthy pensó que Swami vendría en su forma física habitual. Ahora, todos los devotos, estudiantes y personal creen que Swami reside allí en Su forma sutil.

En los últimos 5 años, se han construido Hospitales de Superespecialidades (para el cuidado del corazón infantil y centro de investigación), y muchas Instituciones Educativas en las zonas más rurales, han sido diseñadas bajo estándares internacionales para los más pobres de los pobres, todo de Forma Gratuita, según el mandato Divino. Así como muchos proyectos humanitarios, como proyectos de agua, etc. Todos atendidos por los diversos Fideicomisos de Sathya Sai, establecidos e inspirados por Swami, que reciben contribuciones voluntarias de los devotos y del público en general. Muchas corporaciones también han patrocinado estos maravillosos proyectos humanitarios.

Swami fue preparando muchos "Thyagajivis" (hombres y mujeres de sacrificio) quienes han sacrificado todo sólo para ser un instrumento en la misión Divina de Swami. Esos Thyagajivis son Sri Narasima Murthy, Sri C. Sreenivas, Sri Shashidar Prasad (exvicecanciller), Sri Kondal Rao, (a cargo del proyecto de agua) y muchos otros devotos veteranos como Sri Indulal Shah, Isac Tigret, así como muchos antiguos devotos que siguen apoyando incondicionalmente la continua misión de Swami y creen en la forma sutil de Swami.

Madhusudhan fue un estudiante de la Universidad Sathya Sai en Puttaparthi y realizó su MBA de la Universidad de Swami. Quería quedarse en Puttaparthi y hacer algún trabajo allí. Pero, Swami tenía otros planes para él. Swami lo envió a Bangalore y trabajó en un banco como PRO por algún tiempo. Swami ya le había informado en Kodaikanal que Él lo usaría en Su misión como Su instrumento, lo cual Madhu, no entendió en ese momento.

Después del Mahasamadhi, Swami se le apareció a Madhusudhan en su casa, en Su forma sutil y le habló, aunque él no se lo creía y dudó. Pero Swami aclaró las dudas de Madhusudhan y le explicó el importante papel que tenía que desempeñar en la Misión Divina. Aquí quiero explicar que Madusudan no es Swami, él no permanece en Sathya Sai Anandam la residencia de Swami, ni acepta padanamaskar, etc. Madhu es el estudiante de Swami que tiene la bendición única de ver y oír a Swami. Swami habla a través de Madhusudhan para entregar los discursos, para transmitir mensajes importantes a los devotos, para dar instrucciones sobre todos los proyectos, etc. Realmente es Swami Mismo quien habla con los devotos, responde a sus preguntas, toma cartas, etc. Lo único es que no vemos a Swami, no escuchamos a Swami; Vemos y oímos a Madhusudhan. Esta es la manera en que SAI sin forma continúa con Su misión, usando a Madhusudhan como Su instrumento para comunicarse con la gente en general, para el bien de toda la humanidad.

Esto también sucedió durante la vida del Avatar Krishna, cuando Sanjay fue bendecido con la visión interna para ver la guerra del Mahabharata y contarla al Rey Dhritarashtra, y también escuchó el Bhagwad Gita, estando muy lejos de ese lugar. Otro incidente del Avatar Krishna fue que cuando Draupadi estaba siendo humillada y desvestida, oró a Krishna y milagrosamente su sari siguió creciendo y apareciendo de la nada. Nadie vio a Krishna, pero todos vieron que el sari apareció de la nada. Este es el mismo caso ahora, cuando Swami (en forma sutil) materializa algo y lo pone en las manos de Madhusudhan para ser entregado a un devoto particular. ¡Nadie ve a Swami, pero todo el mundo ve el objeto!

Madhusudhan no es un médico, no es un educador, no es un arquitecto, no es un administrador. ¿Cómo puede entonces dirigir, corregir y dar importantes consejos y sugerencias para asuntos importantes relacionados con Hospitales, Instituciones Educativas, el funcionamiento de los diversos Fideicomisos, la construcción de varios edificios, asistir a conferencias en las Universidades de Harvard y Stanford, hablar con los directores de empresas internacionales??? ¡¡Ciertamente es Swami quien está hablando a través de él!! ¡¡Estos directores también quieren participar ahora en la misión Divina!!

El grupo de Muddenahalli ha visitado 30 países en los últimos 2 años y han inspirado a muchos devotos (antiguos y nuevos) a hacer un servicio desinteresado a la comunidad. Swami había prometido a muchos devotos en el pasado que visitaría su hogar, y Él lo está cumpliendo ahora, ya que no fue posible en Su forma física. También ha iniciado Ashrams para el propósito educativo, de servicio, médico y devocional en muchos países. Esto es también en respuesta a las promesas dadas a muchos devotos en el pasado. Cada país ha formado un Sathya Sai Trust bajo la dirección de Swami con los miembros elegidos por Swami mismo. Muchos Satsangs y eventos públicos se organizan cuando el grupo va a cualquier país, con Charlas

inspiradoras de personalidades líderes, el Discurso Divino de Swami y sesiones de preguntas y respuestas muy interesantes, en las cuales Swami responde espontáneamente todas las preguntas y cuestiones de los devotos en Su propio e inimitable estilo lleno de humor y satisface a todos los devotos haciéndolos muy felices.

Así como Swami dio algunas pruebas a algunos de los devotos de Shirdi Sai para demostrar que Él es el mismo Shirdi Sai, ahora Swami en Su forma sutil, da alguna evidencia o revela algún secreto a los devotos que sólo es conocido por ambos, a través de Madhusudhan. Así, Él aclara las dudas de los devotos y confirma su fe en Su forma sutil.

La misión Divina de Swami continúa con gran entusiasmo y muy rápidamente. Swami ha dicho que en los próximos 5 años se emprenderán y ejecutarán el doble de proyectos. Muchos devotos antiguos, así como muchos nuevos, se han unido para hacer Servicio Desinteresado a la comunidad. Recientemente, se realizó en la presencia Divina, el Bhoomi Puja para la construcción de un Centro de Desarrollo Humano en Silicon Valley, proyecto emprendido por los jóvenes Sai. En noviembre de este año, se hará el Bhoomi Puja para otro Hospital de Superespecialidades cerca de Mumbai. Todos los días se lleva a cabo algún Bhoomi Puja o la inauguración de alguna nueva Institución. SOLO DIOS PUEDE HACER TODAS ESTAS MARAVILLAS.

Esto es sólo un resumen de mi experiencia personal y de información de primera mano de la Misión Sai en la forma sutil. Esto no es para perturbar la devoción de los devotos Sai, sino sólo para aclarar con hechos reales, para que los devotos tengan la visión correcta y la información de la forma sutil de Sathya Sai, que no es diferente de la forma física de Sathya Sai. Ambos son uno y el mismo y ambos deben ser respetados, venerados y adorados.

Estamos viviendo en un período histórico que nunca ha ocurrido en la historia de cualquier Avatar. Alegrémonos, celebrémoslo y aprovechémoslo para que seamos elegidos. Swami está más cerca de nosotros que antes. Tenemos que deshacernos de todas las impurezas de nuestro corazón, como el ego, la ira, los celos, el odio, etc., para que podamos sentir y experimentar a Swami en nuestros Corazones siempre. COMO SWAMI DICE LA CONEXIÓN ES DE CORAZÓN A CORAZÓN.

SATHYA SAI BABA - PHYSICAL FORM AND SUBTLE FORM.

I want to share some important facts about the subtle form of our beloved Lord, Sri Sathya Sai Baba about which much wrong information has been circulated, and thus have misguided many devotees from their Godward path.

Please note that I have made many trips to Puttaparthi, Whitefield and Kodaikanal since 1972 and have enjoyed the Divine Bliss of Sathya Sai. I have also visited the Mahasamadhi in Prasanthi Nilayam after 2011 for many times and have felt the same Divine energy and vibrations as before.

In 2014, I visited Muddenahalli for the first time as that ashram was also established by Sathya Sai Baba. I felt that place was full of Peace and very positive vibrations. The people there were very loving. I was attended by one youth who was an IT professor in another institute but had come to Muddenahalli as a volunteer, as there was a medical camp going on. Although being Sunday, he and his other IT friends had all come there to help the people. He showed to me the full ashram including Sathya Sai Anandam which is Sathya Sai´s residence on the hillock. It is extremely beautiful filled with Divine energy. The place was full of Peace. I was very much impressed by the hospitality and the vibrations of goodness in the whole ashram. During that time there was no mention about Madhusudhan. I was informed that Sri B.N. Narasimha Murthy who has been with Sathya Sai for nearly 50 years, and who was in charge of the Muddenahalli campus, was visiting other places to build and establish Sai Educational institution there.

In 2016, I visited Muddenahalli again as I heard some negative information about this beautiful ashram as well as about an ex-student of Sathya Sai university and respected Sri Narasimha Murthy. I went to check for myself and not rely on the external information, as that ashram had really impressed me a lot. A beautiful big hall had been constructed in past several months and the Satsang was supposed to be in that hall. So I went and sat in the hall. The hall was extremely beautiful and very well maintained. After some time bhajans started and Madhusudhan (Swami´s ex-student), followed by Sri Narasimha Murthy entered the hall. Madhusudhan was speaking to the devotees and also collecting letters. They went to the stage and sat in their respective chairs. The stage was beautifully decorated with 2 statues of Shirdi Sai and Sathya Sai, one beautiful throne for Sathya Sai and 2 chairs where Madhu and Narasimha Murthy sat. The general ambience was very inspiring.

The Satsang started with some announcements of the various educational projects that were in progress or completed. As it was Ramanaomi day, Sri Narasimha Murthy spoke about Ramayana and gave some stunning facts about the story of Rama. Then Madhusudhan spoke in Telugu and Sri Narasimha Murthy translated in English. Before starting the discourse, Madhu said “I perceive Baba seated on the throne in an orange robe and I repeat as He speaks”. Madhu spoke about Ramayana for 60 minutes at a stretch and gave some even more stunning revelations never heard before and not found in any Ramayana version. He explained the meaning of the word “Ramayana” which means “Tears of Rama”. The discourse was very enlightening and delivered in the same way as Swami used to give before. As a very strict believer of Ramayana, I was very happy to be aware of so many events in the Ramayana which were unknown to me. I was extremely happy.

Another thing that amazed was that Madusudhan being from North-Central India spoke in Telugu which is not his mother tongue, non-stop and very fast for 60 minutes without a single pause and even corrected Narasimha Murthy when he made a mistake or omitted some word, or could not find a suitable word to translate. I was observing everything very carefully. Then, Madhusudhan was responding spontaneously to the various queries of the devotees. All this left me dumbfounded. I came out of the hall very much elated spiritually as well as mentally. That one visit, one darshan, one discourse changed my full mindset. I accepted Madhusudhan as the communicator of the Subtle Form of our beloved Lord Sathya Sai as only Swami and no one else could have given that discourse and spoken to so many devotees satisfying their queries in the same manner as before. I wish all the devotees go to Muddenahalli and experience for themselves instead of paying attention to the negative information being circulated by other devotees who have not experienced the subtle form.

Swami (Sathya Sai) always inspired the devotees that they should believe and have faith in their own self and that they should not pay attention to those persons who claim to receive messages from Him and collect money for their own selfish interest, as in those days, there were people who were using the sacred name of Sathya Sai for the collection of funds. Swami openly spoke against these malpractices. Swami also made clear that His connection with His devotees is “Heart to Heart”. All this stands true till date if we carefully analyze these important statements using our Heart instead of our Head, and have Faith in our own selves instead of having Faith in the words of other persons. Swami always emphasized in the inner view rather than external view.

Swami has also repeatedly mentioned that we are all Atmas. He always addressed us as Divya Atma. He also said that there is no difference between you and me. You are all God, you are moving temples. God is within you as well as in the other person. Also He insisted that we should not be attached to His form which will perish and that we have to concentrate in His Formless attribute which is the Real Sai. We have to carefully reflect on all the Divine statements made by Swami and only then we will realize that there is absolutely no discrepancy between the proclamations of Swami during His Physical sojourn and what we see and experience now in Muddenahalli. We have to think from the Heart which will guide us correctly and not the Head which will only create confusion because of our attachment to the physical form of Swami.

Swami had mentioned that He would continue His mission till 95 years. During His physical form He established two super specialty hospitals, general hospitals, educational institutions, university, water projects and many other social and humanitarian projects, all free of charge. This, we all know was financed by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, established and controlled by Swami, which received and receives voluntary contributions from the devotees and other people to maintain the various projects initiated by Swami.

But, Swami left His physical body at the age of 85. So, there was a gap of 10 years to be completed. This, as I feel was all a Divine Leela of Swami, as He had already planned to continue His mission at a very great speed for the last 10 years, which He could not accomplish by His physical body due to His ill health.

He also informed His chosen devotees that He will retire from the main public for the last 10 years and that He will live on a hillock away from the public, and from there He would continue His mission. This is what is being observed now. He informed Narasimha Murthy who was in charge of Muddenahalli campus to build a residence for Him in Muddenahalli where He would reside. Swami Himself chose the place which is now very beautifully located in a hillock with beautiful surroundings and facilities fit for Swami as Narasimha Murthy thought Swami would come in His usual physical form. Now, all the devotees, students and staff believe that Swami resides there in His subtle form.

In the past 5 years, super specialty hospitals (child heart care and research center), many educational institutions in the most rural areas have all come up with international standards for the poorest of the poor, all Free of Charge, as per the Divine command, as well as many humanitarian projects like water projects, etc. All looked after by the various Sathya Sai Trusts, established and inspired by Swami, which receives voluntary contributions from the devotees and general public. Many corporates have also sponsored these wonderful humanitarian projects.

Swami was preparing many “Thyagajivis” (man and woman of sacrifice) who have sacrificed everything just to be an instrument in the Divine mission of Swami. Such Thyagajivis are Sri Narasima Murthy, Sri C. Sreenivas, Sri Shashidar Prasad (ex-vice chancellor), Sri Kondal Rao, (in charge of water project) and many other veteran devotees like Sri Indulal Shah, Isac Tigret and many other long standing devotees who support wholeheartedly the continuing mission of Swami and believe in the subtle form of Swami.

Madhusudhan was a student of Sathya Sai University in Puttaparthi and did his MBA from Swami´s University. He wanted to stay back at Puttaparthi and do some work there. But, Swami had other plans for him. Swami sent him to Bangalore and he worked in a bank as a PRO for some time. Swami had already informed him in Kodaikanal that He would use him in His mission as His instrument, which Madhu did not understand at that point of time.

After Mahasamadhi, Swami appeared to Madhusudhan at his home, in His subtle form and spoke to Him, which even Madhu did not believe and had doubts. But Swami cleared the doubts of Madhusudhan and explained to Madhu the important role he had to play in the Divine Mission. Here I want to explain that Madusudan is not Swami, he does not stay in Sathya Sai Anandam the residence of Swami, nor does he accept padanamaskar, etc. Madhu is Swami´s student who has the unique blessing of seeing and hearing Swami. Swami speaks through Madhusudhan to deliver the discourses, to convey important messages to the devotees concerned, to give instructions for all the projects, etc. Actually, it is Swami Himself who talks to the devotees, answers their questions, take letters, etc. The only thing is that we don´t see Swami, we don´t hear Swami; we see and hear Madhusudhan. This is the way the formless Sai continues with His mission by using Madhusudhan as His instrument to communicate with the people at large, for the good of whole mankind.

This has happened during Krishna avatar also when Sanjay was blessed to see the Mahabharata war which he communicated to Dhritarashtra, and he heard the Bhagwad Gita as well, being very far from that place. Another incident from the Krishna avatar is that when Draupadi was being humiliated and disrobed, she prayed to Krishna and miraculously saris kept on appearing from nowhere. Nobody saw Krishna but everyone saw the sari appearing from nowhere. This is the same case when Swami (subtle form) materializes something and puts in the hands of Madhusudhan to be given to some particular devotee. Nobody sees Swami but everyone sees the object!!

Madhusudhan is not a medical person, not an educator, not an architect, not an administrator. How then can he guide, correct and give important advice and suggestions for important matters relating to Hospitals, Educational institutions, functioning of the various trusts, construction of various buildings, attend conferences in Harvard and Stanford universities, speak to the directors of international companies??? Certainly it is Swami who is speaking through him!! These directors also want to participate now in The Divine mission!!

The Muddenahalli group has visited 30 countries in last 2 years and they have inspired many devotees (old and new) to do selfless service to the community. Swami had promised many devotees in the past that He would visit their home, which He is fulfilling now, as it was not possible in His physical form. He has also initiated ashrams for educational, service, medical and devotional purpose in many countries. This is also in response to the promises given to many devotees in the past. Each country has formed a Sathya Sai Trust under the guidance of Swami with the members chosen by Swami Himself. Many Satsangs and public events are organized when the group goes to any country with inspiring talks by leading personalities, Divine discourse of Swami and very interesting questions and answers session, in which Swami answers spontaneously all the questions and queries of the devotees in His own inimitable style filled with some humor and satisfies all the devotees making them very happy.

Just as Swami gave some evidence to some of the Shirdi Sai devotees to demonstrate that He is the same Shirdi Sai, now Swami in His subtle form gives some evidence or reveals some secret to the devotees known only to both of them, through Madhusudhan. Thus, He clears the doubts of the devotees and confirms their faith in His subtle form.

The Divine mission of Swami continues with great enthusiasm and very fast. Swami has said that in the next 5 years we will see double projects undertaken and executed. Many old devotees as well as many new devotees have joined to do selfless seva to the community. Recently, Bhoomi Puja was done for the construction of the center for human development in Silicon Valley, in the Divine presence, project undertaken by the youth. In November this year, Bhoomi puja will be done for another super specialty hospital near Mumbai. Everyday some Bhoomi puja or some inauguration of institution takes place. ONLY GOD CAN DO ALL THESE WONDERS.

This is just a summary of my personal experience and first-hand information of the Sai Mission in the subtle form. This is not to disturb the devotion of the Sai devotees but only to clarify with real facts so that the devotees have correct vision and information of the subtle form of Sathya Sai which is not different from the physical form of Sathya Sai. Both are one and the same and both should be respected, worshipped and adored.

We are living in an historic period never occurred in the history of any Avatar. Let us rejoice, celebrate and take advantage for being the chosen one. Swami is more near to us than before. We have to get rid of all the impurities in our heart like ego, anger, jealously, hatred, etc. so that we can feel and experience Swami in our Hearts always. AS SWAMI SAYS IT IS HEART TO HEART CONNECTION.

Gracias por Tu inmensa compasión hacia todos los seres, y por habitar nuestros corazones impregnándolos con la canción dulce y eterna de Tu Voz.   Este Gurú Purnima, está marcado por la alegría de recibirte nuevamente en nuestro país, Argentina.    Hermanos en este día sagrado de Gurú Purnima hemos reunido las preferencias a la encuesta acerca del lema que conducirá la próxima Visita de Octubre de Sai en Su cuerpo de luz, y de la comitiva que lo acompañará.   El lema más elegido fue: "Semillas de Amor".     Trabajaremos este tiempo la tierra de nuestras mentes y corazones, para que puedan germinar y cosechar allí, las semillas del  Amor más puro que Sai ha sembrado en cada alma, en cada ser.   Queremos también contarles que en el día de ayer hubo dos novedades importantes en el festejo de Guruprunima en Muddenahalli. En primer lugar Swami comenzó la transmisión del programa de radio en castellano. Este programa de radio en español surge de una indicación expresa de Swami a nuestros hermanos a cargo  de la radio Sanathana Vani que transmite desde Mudhenahalli, y su idea conceptual y su nombre  "Semillas de Amor", fueron aprobados por Swami en Febrero de este año en curso.   El programa se emitirá directamente desde Mudhenahalli, en la India, por la radio Sanathana Vani y está preparado por nuestros hermanos Charly Perez Lean y Alicia Poulsen. En nuestro país se podrá escuchar en directo los días martes a las 19,30 hs. y se repetirá los sábados en el mismo horario. Por otra parte, Sai inauguró una nueva página donde está   compilado todo el material relativo a Sus viajes por el mundo de estos últimos años. P: Swami, ¿por qué he nacido?

SAI: ¿Con qué propósito has nacido? (1) El hombre ha sido enviado al mundo... para tomar consciencia de la Verdad de que él no es un hombre sino Dios. Las olas danzan con el viento; disfrutan del sol; brincan en la lluvia, imaginando que están jugando en el fondo del mar. No saben que son el mar en sí mismas. Hasta no realizar la Verdad, se verán lanzadas hacia arriba y hacia abajo, mas cuando esto ocurra, podrán reposar calmadamente y en paz consigo mismas. (2)

P: ¿Cómo es que soy Dios, Swami? Yo soy un ser humano con un cuerpo humano.

SAI: Tú estás en este cuerpo, en este receptáculo... para realizar tu propia Divinidad. Este cuerpo es la envoltura que has tejido alrededor de tí mismo a través de tus impulsos y deseos. ¡Utilízalo para hacer crecer tus alas y escapar de él! (3)

P: ¿Debo alcanzar a Dios?

SAI: Todas las criaturas tienen que alcanzar a Dios. (4) Es el destino del hombre el viaje desde su humanidad a su Divinidad, del mismo modo en que él ya ha trascendido la condición de animal. (5) Algunos pueden subir a un avión; otros pueden viajar en automóvil o subirse a un ómnibus; a otros les puede gustar ir caminando, pero todos deben un día u otro llegar a la meta. (6)

P: Pero, Swami, ¿dónde Lo encontraré?

SAI: El Principio Divino es el núcleo mismo del hombre... es la fuente de Poder infalible e irresistible... La Divinidad está aquí ante tí; detrás de tí; dentro de tí; fuera de tí. Es la inteligencia misma a través de la cual puedes reconocerlo. (7)

P: Estoy seguro de que yo podría encontrar a Dios si viviera aquí, en Prashanti Nilayam, junto a Tí.

SAI: La comunidad en la cual te encuentras es el campo en donde puedes alcanzar la victoria, el gimnasio donde puedes desarrollar tu habilidad para ganar. (8)

P: Pero, ¿por qué debo permanecer en tal mundo infeliz, en donde también yo lo soy?

SAI: Has aprendido por experiencia los golpes del mundo. El mundo es una parte muy esencial en el currículum del hombre. (9)

El... mundo es como un hotel al cual hemos venido para experimentar las consecuencias de nuestras acciones pasadas. El cuerpo es como una habitación de ese hotel en el cual tenemos que vivir nuestras consecuencias Kármicas. (10)

P: Cuando estoy en casa, muchas cosas me distraen. No suelo pensar frecuentemente en encontrar a Dios.

SAI: Sin intentar descubrir la Divinidad subyacente en la forma humana, las personas están desperdiciando sus vidas. Si examinas las grandes Escrituras del mundo, encontrarás que en todas ellas se hace énfasis en la suprema maravilla de descubrir nuestra propia Naturaleza Divina, sin la cual uno no puede lograr la experiencia de la verdadera Bienaventuranza. El hombre va en busca de placeres y prosperidad mundanos, pero no busca esa Divinidad interna la cual le daría Felicidad permanente. (11)

P: Pero, Swami, ¿no es una larga travesía?

SAI: Tendrás que recorrer un largo camino, pero no te desanimes. (12) Yo he venido para guiar(te). (13) Yo estoy... listo para ayudarte desde la primera lección hasta la última. (14)

P: Swami, ¿cuándo comenzará la Edad de Oro de la cual has hablado?

SAI: El día en que la Hermandad del hombre y la Paternidad de Dios brillen en forma refulgente y hermosa, está amaneciendo y acercándose. (1)

P: ¿A qué se parecerá ese Tiempo?

SAI: Esta Era (será una) Era de Oro para los buscadores de Dios, para aprender y obtener Discernimiento. (2) En Ella, la falsedad caerá; la verdad triunfará; y la virtud reinará. Solamente el Carácter conferirá poder entonces y no el conocimiento; la habilidad o la capacidad inventiva. La Sabiduría se entronará en los Concilios de las Naciones. (3)

P: ¿Qué señales darás que indiquen que la Edad de Oro está comenzando?

SAI: La Gloria de Sai se desparramará por todos los lugares del mundo. Ésta se multiplicará por miles. (5) Ustedes podrán ver a miles de personas aprisionadas en este camino; cientos sobre cada roca de esas colinas. (6)

P: ¡Qué gran concurrencia habrá!

SAI: Ese día en que millones se reúnan para beneficiarse del Avatar está muy próximo a llegar. Les estoy aconsejando el obtener y atesorar toda la Gracia y toda la Felicidad que puedan, mientras puedan, de manera de que puedan mantenerse en la dulzura de los recuerdos y la experiencia. (7)

P: Si millones vendrán, ¿en dónde nos reuniremos?

SAI: Pronto llegará el tiempo en que este enorme edificio y hasta otros mucho más grandes serán demasiado pequeños para albergar a todos los que sean llamados a este lugar. El cielo mismo tendrá que ser el techo del Auditorio en el futuro; Yo deberé dejar el automóvil y hasta el avión cuando me mueva de un lugar a otro, ya que las multitudes presionando serán demasiado grandes; tendré que desplazarme a través del cielo; sí, eso sucederá también, créanMe. (8)

P: Caminar a través del cielo, Swami. ¡Cuán excitante será! ¿De qué otra manera el Mundo conocerá que Tú eres el Señor?

SAI: En el pasado, cuando el Govardhanagiri fue levantado por el pequeño Niño, las Gopis y los Gopalas se dieron cuenta que Krishna era el Señor. Ahora, no será solamente el Govardhanagiri, sino muchos más los que serán elevados. ¡Ya lo verán! Tengan paciencia y fe. (9)

P: ¡Se me torna dificultoso el imaginarme tal milagro!

SAI: No se engañen. ¡No es Mi propósito enmudecer a los hombres por la exhibición de Mis Poderes Milagrosos! Yo he venido para conferir la Bendición de la Felicidad como recompensa del esfuerzo genuino en el camino espiritual y para conducir a la Humanidad hacia la Libertad; la Luz y el Amor. (10)

P: ¡Cuán afortunado soy de estar vivo en estos tiempos!

SAI: Tienes buena fortuna... es más grande que la que poseen los anacoretas; monjes; sabios; santos y hasta personalidades que encarnan facetas de la Gloria Divina! (11) El hecho de que estés vivo en estos tiempos es una Bendición. (12)

P: Swami, ¿por qué has esperado tanto tiempo para dar a conocer públicamente Tus Declaraciones? ¿Por qué no declaras la Edad de Oro ahora?

SAI: Antes de eso, Yo debo atraer a algunas personas a Mí, a aquellas que en sus previas vidas han estado incesante e inquebrantablemente tratando de acercarse a Mí a través de un riguroso Sadhana. Llegará un día en que el mundo sabrá acerca del Avatar a través de declaraciones públicas. (13)

P: ¿Quién Te declarará ante el mundo, Swami?

SAI: Devotos de estatura mundial, capaces de hablar de Sai, estarán presentes cuando sea el momento oportuno para ellos. (14) Los Mahapurushas; los Mahatmas; los Jnanis; y los Yoguis... estarán todos cooperando en la tarea del restablecimiento de la Rectitud y despejando el camino para que el mundo alcance la Paz. (15)

P: ¿A qué se parecerá el mundo cuando Tú termines Tu Misión?

SAI: El mundo será pacífico... Todo será Amor - Amor, Amor, Amor en todas partes. (16)

P: Oh, Swami, ¿qué puedo hacer para estar preparado para la Edad de Oro?

SAI: Adhiérete firmemente a la verdad de tus convicciones. Prepárate para realizar algunos cambios... Alístate para enfrentar cualquier situación... fortalece tu fe en Dios. (17) Prepárate para llevar a cabo la tarea que te he asignado para ser un instrumento dedicado a la Misión por la cual la Divinidad ha venido. (18)

P: Swami, Tú debes tener hambre y aún no te he visto comer.

SAI: Para Mí, tu Felicidad es Mi alimento. (1) No necesito otro alimento más que ese. Yo soy la Encarnación de la Felicidad. Mi Naturaleza es la Felicidad. (2)

P: ¿Señor, Tú nunca duermes?

SAI: Si Yo necesitara descansar no hubiese encarnado. (3) Yo no duermo por las noches; Yo recuerdo... los acontecimientos de mis pasadas Apariciones, y me río dentro de Mí Mismo mientras las memorias pasan. (4) En la mitad de la noche, apago la luz y descanso en la cama porque si la luz está encendida los devotos acuden... La gente piensa que Baba descansa en la tarde hasta las 4.00 pm, pero Yo nunca duermo. Él no está nunca cansado. Él está siempre trabajando. (5)

P: ¿No necesitas algunas veces viajar un poco más con el propósito de alejarte de todo esto?

SAI: Yo no necesito ver lugares. ¡Yo estoy en todas partes, siempre! (6) No poseo el anhelo de un cambio; recreación o viaje. (7)

P: ¿Alguna vez Te preocupas que con toda esa gente, Tú no puedas llegar a completar Tu Tarea?

SAI: La preocupación Me es totalmente ajena. Yo no conozco ninguna dificultad; descrédito o presiones causadas por otros... (8) Nada puede contenerMe o agitarMe o ensombrecerme en esta Forma Humana... Mi Sankalpa (Voluntad) debe prevalecer; Mi Tarea debe ser cumplida; Mi Misión triunfará. (9) Yo puedo a veces esperar hasta poder lograr diez cosas de un solo golpe... Pero Mi Palabra nunca fallará. (10)

P: Tú estás siempre trabajando y aún así pareces muy tranquilo.

SAI: No poseo un horario al cual adherirme ni tampoco me ata ninguna ley. Yo soy lo Supremo desde donde todo se originó, en donde todo es preservado y en donde también será destruído. (11)

P: ¿Cómo puedo conocer esa faceta de Tí?

SAI: Permanece en Prashanti Nilayam; muévete junto a Mí y experimenta Mi compañía y conversación. EscúchaMe; míraMe y luego saca tus propias conclusiones; sumérgete y conoce la profundidad; come y conoce el sabor. (12) La forma en la cual debe ser usado el Avatar para la propia Liberación... es: observa cada uno de Sus pasos; observa Sus acciones y actividades; sigue el principio guía del cual Su Vida es un ejemplo. Presta atención a Su Amor; Su Compasión; Su Sabiduría y trata de incorporar todos ellos a tu propia vida. (13)

P: No solamente Te observo. También escucho atentamente Tus consejos. ¿No es así?

SAI: Puedes experimentar Dicha solamente siguiendo Mis consejos y esa es la razón por la cual debes escuchar cuidadosamente y tomar seriamente lo que digo. (14) Confía en Mi Sabiduría: Yo no cometo errores. ¡Ama Mi incertidumbre! Ya que esto no es un error. Esto es Mi Intención y Voluntad. Recuerda, nada ocurre sin Mi Voluntad. Permanece en calma. No intentes comprender; no preguntes para comprender. Renuncia al pretender comprenderlo todo. Renuncia al imperativo que exige comprensión. (15)

P: ¿Cuál es la meta de la vida humana?

SAI: ¿Cuál es la meta de la vida humana? ¿Cuál es el objetivo que el hombre debe realizar? ¿Es únicamente comer; beber; dormir; experimentar un poco de alegría o dolor para finalmente morir como un pájaro o una bestia? No, ciertamente no. Un pequeño pensamiento revelará que esta es... ¡Brahma-Sakshathkara, la Realización del Absoluto, de Brahma! (1) Has venido de la Divinidad y debes regresar a la Divinidad. (2) Ese Principio Divino es el núcleo mismo del hombre. La consciencia de esta Verdad es la meta de la vida; es la fuente de Poder indefectible e irresistible... La Divinidad está aquí en frente de tí; detrás de tí; dentro de tí; fuera de tí; la Inteligencia es a través de la cual Lo puedes reconocer. Esta está también en tí, pero tú o eres ciego o padeces de una enfermedad o defecto en la visión; o peor aún, ¡cierras tus ojos intencionalmente! (3)

P: ¿Cuál es el objetivo de todas las prácticas espirituales?

SAI: El objetivo de todas las prácticas espirituales es la completa purificación del corazón. (4) El Amor posee un efecto eléctrico en los seres humanos. Este purifica el corazón del hombre. (5) Solamente a través del Amor – el Amor adquirido a través de las prácticas espirituales (Sadhana), y compartido con todos como Sadhana – puede obtenerse la Paz, tanto para el individuo como para la nación. (6) Dios es la Encarnación del Amor... Dios, Quien es Amor puede ser realizado solamente a través del Amor. (7) A menos que limpies tu mente con Amor, la Luna Llena de la Sabiduría Espiritual jamás podrá brillar dentro de ella. La repetición del Nombre; la observancia de votos y vigilias; de ayunos y festivales, pueden centellear en el Cielo Interno de la mente como las estrellas en el cielo, pero, hasta que la Lámpara del Amor esté encendida, la oscuridad no se disipará. (8)

P: ¿Por qué debo trabajar? ¿Por qué no puedo simplemente sentarme debajo de este árbol y leer acerca de Dios?

SAI: Mientras permanezcas en este mundo, debes estar ocupado en un trabajo. El trabajo es muy importante para los seres humanos. Es a través del trabajo y las actividades como aprendes a armonizar los pensamientos; las palabras y las acciones. (9) La absoluta libertad no le es dada a ningún hombre sobre la tierra porque el verdadero significado de la vida mortal es el relacionarse y depender unos de otros. (10) El verdadero Gurú no es un preceptor humano (maestro). Es el Cosmos en sí mismo; Prakriti; la Creación; el Mundo que nos rodea. (11) Tú aprendes a través de las experiencias que te proporcionan los altibajos del Mundo. El Mundo es una parte muy esencial en el currículum del hombre. (12) La comunidad en la cual te encuentras es el campo donde puedes obtener la victoria, el gimnasio donde desarrollas la habilidad de ganar. El camino espiritual se encuentra a través de la compasión; la simpatía; la ayuda mutua y el servicio, y estos son fomentados por la sociedad y deben ser usados para la sociedad. (13)

P: ¿Estamos solos en el Universo? ¿Cómo son otros seres?

SAI: El Universo no tiene principio y en Éste habitan una infinidad de "jivas" (seres vivientes). Entre esos "jivas", el hombre es el ser más exaltado. (14) En todo el Universo no existe otro planeta en donde se halle vida humana, o una forma similar de vida... Hay vida a través de todo el Universo. (Pero) la expresión de vida en la Tierra es la más elevada a través de lo humano hacia lo Divino. Por virtud del nacimiento humano, el próximo paso es la completa realización de la Divinidad. La vida humana es sagrada y debe ser apreciada como la del más alto valor. (15)

La pregunta acerca de la vida en el Universo surge porque tú proyectas tus propias y particulares circunstancias. Tú sientes que otras formas de vida serían intolerables porque tales formas serían intolerables para ti. En el caliente, ardiente Sol, por ejemplo, hay seres vivientes. Esta vida existe en circunstancias consideradas intolerables para ti. En otras partes del Universo, la vida es experimentada como Divina, es una con la Divinidad, y es completamente feliz y se siente que todo está bien. (16)

P: ¿Están los otros "dioses" antes que Dios? ¿De qué se ocupan ellos?

SAI: Lo mismo que la regla de un pequeño dominio terrenal tiene ciertas normas que cumplir para llevar a cabo su deber, la Suprema Regla del mundo, el Todopoderoso, también, tiene ciertas regulaciones en los asuntos del gobierno del Universo. Sería pueril decir que Dios debería hacer todas las cosas por Sí Mismo simplemente porque Él es Omnipotente... Aun cuando existe una delegación de autoridad en la administración de un reino terrestre por un gobernante por la cual varias funciones son desempeñadas por varios ministros a quienes se les asigna el cargo de ciertos departamentos y carteras, en los asuntos concernientes al Cosmos, el Dios Todopoderoso también asigna ciertas funciones a ciertos dioses como Indra; Varuna y Rudra. Así como todos los asuntos terrestres no son llevados directamente al rey, sino que son presentados a los correspondientes ministros para la acción, todas las oraciones de los hombres no llegan directamente a Dios, sino que ellas son atendidas por Sus "ministros" tales como Indra; Varuna y otros. (17) El Señor no interferirá en las funciones de las diferentes deidades. Él permite que Brahma; Vishnu y Easwara desempeñen sus respectivas funciones de acuerdo a las leyes cósmicas. (18) Las oraciones con propósitos mundanos no llegan a Dios. Ellas llegarán solamente a aquellas deidades que se ocupan de tales esferas restringidas. Pero todas las oraciones que brotan del Amor Puro; propósitos desinteresados para prestar servicio y de corazones unidos llegarán a Dios. (19)

P: ¿Por qué me siento feliz cuando veo que alguien es feliz? ¿Por qué en cambio, no siento tristeza?

SAI: Nosotros no estamos preocupados cuando algo está bien, sino solamente cuando está mal. Esto es porque la bondad es natural y lo malo una aberración. Nosotros nos preocupamos y alarmamos cuando alguien se torna hacia el mal o sufre dolor o pena. Esto es porque los planes de la Naturaleza para nosotros es que estemos bien, seamos felices y siempre alegres. Es una pena que el hombre haya perdido la comprensión de esta Verdad. (20)

P: Yo siempre siento este anhelo, no importa lo que haga. ¿Qué es esto?

SAI: El hombre tiene una sed innata por Dios, un anhelo profundo por la Felicidad del más alto grado el cual nunca fallará o faltará. (21) El Señor ha moldeado así al hombre, por lo que él está inclinado hacia Dios y deleitado con la expansión de su visión y felicidad cuando es moral y virtuoso. De este modo el hombre debe servir a sus mejores intereses adhiriéndose a su naturaleza básica; concentrándose en Brahma; mediante el cultivo de la Verdad y la práctica del Dharma. (22) El anhelo más profundo del hombre es experimentar la Unidad, la Base, el Ser en que se ha Convertido. (23) Es únicamente bebiendo a Dios como la sed puede ser saciada y no por medio de sustitutos o paliativos. (24) El hombre puede obtener la Paz solamente retornando a su verdadero hogar, o sea a Dios. Hasta entonces la nostalgia le perseguirá. (25)

P: ¿Qué diferencia a los seres humanos de los animales?

SAI: El poder de Discriminación... diferencia a los seres humanos del resto de los animales. (26) El Poder Divino está presente por doquier en la Creación. Únicamente el hombre posee la capacidad de reconocer este Poder. (27) Ningún otro ser viviente más que el hombre ha sido dotado con inteligencia y la facultad de discriminación apropiada con el propósito de visualizar al Atma. Esta es la razón por la cual el hombre es aclamado como el rey de la creación y por la cual los Shastras proclaman que la oportunidad de nacer como hombre es en verdad una rara y gran fortuna. El hombre posee las calificaciones necesarias para inquirir en la causa de la Creación. Él posee en sí mismo dicha necesidad y capacidad para lograrlo. (28)

Únicamente el hombre puede, a través de su esfuerzo, elevarse a los más altos estadios de evolución espiritual. Ningún otro animal puede hacer algo semejante. Los domadores de animales en el circo pueden entrenar a un tigre para que lleve a cabo varios trucos, pero no pueden cambiar su naturaleza. No pueden hacer que estos vivan de la hierba y se priven completamente de la carne. Pero el hombre es diferente. Su naturaleza puede modificarse a través de sus propios esfuerzos disciplinados. Él puede controlar a través de su voluntad, los malos pensamientos e ideas que surgen en su mente. Esta es la razón por la cual el nacimiento humano es considerado un raro regalo. (29)

El principal instrumento con el cual Dios dotó al hombre, denominado Buddhi o intelecto, tiene que ser utilizado por él para convertirse en maestros de estos bajos instintos. El intelecto debe ser usado para juzgar y decidir los medios para elevar la condición humana en Divina. Debe ayudar al hombre a realizar a Dios. (30)

En un mundo en donde abundan los opuestos, el hombre debe hacer permanentes elecciones entre lo que es correcto y apropiado y lo que es equivocado o indeseable. Un hombre que no posea tal facultad de discriminación es como un animal. El hombre no debería permitirse el estar guiado por su propia mente, sino que debería seguir la dirección de su inteligencia (Buddhi). Mientras sigas a la mente, no podrás obtener a Madhava (Divinidad) (31)

P: Cuando hago algo, ¿lo hago yo o lo hace Dios?

SAI: Debes darte cuenta que muy poco depende únicamente de tus esfuerzos. Puedes tener una prueba de ello observando tu propio cuerpo. Por ejemplo, ¿qué esfuerzos estás haciendo para que los latidos de tu corazón sean regulares?, ¿cuán responsable eres por el proceso de tu respiración que funciona continuamente?, ¿cuál es tu contribución al proceso digestivo que opera en tu interior?, ¿son todos estos resultados de tus esfuerzos humanos?, ¿puedes continuar viviendo simplemente con desearlo?, ¿eres capaz de finalizar tu vida cuando lo deseas?, ¿eres responsable de tu propio nacimiento? No, para nada. Cuando inquieres en estas cuestiones te das cuenta que es tu sentido de hacedor y disfrutador el cual está causando tantas dificultades. (32)

Cuando (una persona) lleva a cabo acciones, se considera a sí mismo el hacedor, las acciones se convierten en cadenas que la atan. Todas las acciones que son ejecutadas con el sentimiento de que son una ofrenda para agradar a la Divinidad, no conducen a la esclavitud. Ellas se convierten en acciones "sin deseo" (Anapeksha). Uno tiene que reconocer que es el Principio Divino en todos los seres el cual está llevando a cabo las acciones a través de los seres humanos como instrumentos. Mientras el hombre se considere a sí mismo como el hacedor (kartrutva) y disfrutador (bhoktrutva), no podrá escapar de las consecuencias de sus acciones. (33)

P: ¿Qué debo hacer si veo un crimen?

SAI: Hoy muchos se están entregando a acciones opuestas a la acción correcta (Dharma) y a la verdad (Sathya), sobre la base de que su casta o comunidad están promoviendo luchas y conflictos en el país. Los mayores en la nación están actuando como meros espectadores de todas las acciones incorrectas y violentas que se están llevando a cabo por elementos indeseables. Hasta los estudiantes y los intelectuales permanecen en silencio. Personas con altos cargos se limitan únicamente a observar lo que ocurre. Ninguno, sin embargo, realiza el esfuerzo de poner fin a esta amenaza. Ellos no ofrecen resistencia a la hostilidad. Pareciera que todo su conocimiento; posición e influencia se hubiesen reducido a la nada. Tales personas, a pesar de no estar involucradas en tales malas acciones, las están promoviendo con su actitud pasiva. Cuando el mal; la injusticia y la violencia están siendo perpetrados, si los individuos solamente observan sin intervenir, deben ser considerados como cómplices de los crímenes. Al final, ellos también sufren tanto como los maleantes. Cuando los hombres buenos se asocian con los impíos y no se oponen a ellos, comparten la responsabilidad por las obras de los malhechores. La Voluntad Divina no toma en cuenta si son preparados o ignorantes; sabios o imprudentes. Si son preparados y sabios, ¿por qué no se alzan a favor de la verdad y la justicia? ¿por qué permanecen en silencio? Esto significa que están compartiendo la misma culpa. El fracaso en resistir al mal es su ofensa. Es únicamente cuando resistimos los actos incorrectos y la injusticia e intentamos frenar las malas prácticas en la sociedad, es que podemos proclamar estar cooperando en la tarea de la restauración de la Rectitud (Dharma)... Quienquiera que pueda cometer un delito, ya sea un hijo; una relación o un asociado cercano, uno estará libre de la mancha de ser un cómplice, solamente si se opone a la acción equivocada y trata de corregir al ofensor. Si por el contrario, lo permite o lo impulsa a hacerlo, será igualmente culpable por omisión. (34)

P: Swami, ¿existe algo en el Universo que Dios no haya creado?

SAI: Todo en el mundo se deriva de Dios. (1) No existe nada que sea no causado... Cada ser; objeto o incidente ha sido causado por la Causa Primordial y Su dirección y guía. (2)

P: ¿Qué motivó a Dios a crear el Mundo?

SAI: Dios ha querido que el Mundo sea Su Juego. (3) El Mundo (Prakrithi) es solamente el Juego Divino (leela) del Señor, expuesto ante ti para que puedas ser consciente de Su Gloria y Su Esplendor. (4)

P: He oído que Dios reside en todo, ¿es esto así?

SAI: La Divinidad mora en todo el Universo, desde el diminuto átomo hasta la más vasta estrella. (5) No existe un lugar que Él no habite. (6)

P: Pero, Swami, nosotros a menudo decimos que la Naturaleza es diferente de Dios. Decimos: "Esto no. Esto no". ¿Reside Dios en la Naturaleza también?

SAI: Debes echar a las llamas que se levantan para destruir (ya que ellas son las llamas de la revelación; purificación y discriminación) la visión limitada que ve a la Naturaleza separada de la Divinidad. La Divinidad creó todo esto a través de Sí Misma y de Su propia Sustancia. (7)

P: Entonces, ¿cuál es la llave para la comprensión del misterio de la Naturaleza y de Dios?

SAI: La Verdad básica de la Naturaleza es el Uno en los muchos, esa es la llave para su comprensión. (8) La forma más fácil de comprender la Realidad Básica es ver al Señor en cada criatura; al Señor en toda esta multiplicidad mora como la realidad subyacente de todo. (9)

P: Swami, encuentro estos misterios difíciles de comprender.

SAI: El Misterio Divino es increíblemente maravilloso. No es fácil para los mortales ordinarios comprender estos misterios. (10)

P: ¿Qué me impide comprenderlos, comprender la condición informe de Dios?

SAI: La Inmanifestada, incorporeidad de Dios (Nirguna Brahman) cognoscible en el clímax del Camino de la Sabiduría (Jnanamarga) no puede ser comprendida con los centros sensoriales del individuo sin un gran trabajo y problemas. Esta es la razón por la cual los Puranas hacen más hincapié en el aspecto del Dios con Forma (Saguna) que en el del Dios sin Forma (Nirguna). Primero, el aspirante debe llevar a cabo su Sadhana relacionado con el aspecto Saguna. Esto lo dotará de concentración y más tarde, de acuerdo con la ley del procedimiento de lo más denso a lo más sutil, él podrá sumergir su mente en el Dios sin Forma (Nirguna Brahman). (11)

P: ¿Cómo puedo moverme desde los centros sensoriales del ser para enfocarme en Dios, con el propósito de conocer Su Misterio?

SAI: Reflexiona sobre los consejos mejoradores y curativos que te he dado desde la Completud de Mi Amor; traten de limpiar sus mentes a través de la contemplación y arrepentimiento de los errores cometidos; resuelvan con inquebrantable firmeza moldear nuevamente vuestras vidas; desháganse de malos hábitos en el hablar, profundamente arraigados; pensamientos y acciones, y condúzcanla de conformidad con el Plan Divino, mediante el cual cada uno de vosotros florecerá en la completud Divina. P: Swami, Tú has dicho que cada uno está aquí con un propósito. ¿Por qué estás Tú aquí?

SAI: He venido a inscribir un Capítulo de Oro en la Historia de la Humanidad. (1)

P: ¿Qué quieres decir, Señor?

SAI: Sai ha venido... para llevar a cabo la Suprema Tarea de elevar espiritualmente y unir a toda la Humanidad, como una familia a través del vínculo de hermandad; de afirmar e iluminar la Realidad Átmica de cada ser humano con el propósito de revelar la Divinidad, la cual es la Base sobre la cual descansa la totalidad del Cosmos; y para enseñar a todos a reconocer la común Herencia Divina que enlaza a hombre con hombre, de modo de que él pueda elevarse y alcanzar la Divinidad, la cual es su meta. (2)

Yo deseo construir una Humanidad sin ninguna religión; casta u otras barreras en un Imperio Universal de Amor, el cual permitirá a Mis devotos sentir a todo el mundo como a su propia familia. (3)

P: ¿Cómo podría un solo ser cambiar a todo el mundo?

SAI: El Poder de Sai no tiene límites, Se manifiesta para siempre. Todas las formas de "Poder" residen en la Palma de Mi Mano. (4) Mi Cuerpo, al igual que otros cuerpos, es una habitación temporal, pero Mi Poder es Eterno; Omnipresente y siempre Dominante. (5)

P: ¿Eso significa que Tú puedes curarlo todo en el Mundo, con sólo chasquear Tus Dedos?

SAI: Si Yo curara todo instantáneamente, dejando a las personas en su presente nivel de consciencia, ellas pronto desbaratarían las cosas y volverían a la situación anterior, dando como resultado que la misma situación caótica se desarrollara en el mundo. (6) (En cambio) de ello, Yo tengo que trabajar a través de (las personas), despertar al Dios Interno en ellos y conducirlos a la más alta Realidad con el propósito de permitirles dominar las leyes y fuerzas naturales. (7) (Yo conduciré) a las personas... al más alto nivel de consciencia para permitirles comprender la verdad de las leyes espirituales de modo de que ellas puedan inclinarse ante la Rectitud y el trabajo firme para lograr mejores condiciones. (8)

P: ¿Por qué ha venido el Señor Mismo?

SAI: Cuando hay un pequeño disturbio, un agente de policía es suficiente para controlarlo; cuando el problema está dando señales de aumentar a considerables proporciones, un inspector de policía es enviado; cuando existe un motín, el mismo superintendente de policía deberá hacerse cargo; pero cuando como ahora, toda la humanidad está amenazada con la decadencia moral, el inspector generalmente acude, o sea, que el Señor desciende con Su ejército de hombres santos y buscadores. (9)

P: Si Tú eres el Inspector General, ¿nos protegerás de la guerra nuclear?

SAI: El mal está tan desparramado por doquier que la humanidad misma sería destruída en un holocausto nuclear... Es para prevenir tal catástrofe que el presente Avatar ha venido para elevar la consciencia humana por sobre el existente síndrome de ira; odio; violencia y guerras y salvar al mundo del desastre. (10)

Mi Misión es prevenir los fuegos de una conflagración termonuclear mediante el restablecimiento de la Rectitud (Dharma) y la ley espiritual de Un Dios; Una Religión; Un Lenguaje del Corazón, abarcando a toda la Humanidad. (11)

P: Swami, ¿por qué las Naciones Unidas han sido incapaces de prevenir las guerras en el mundo?

SAI: Solamente el Poder de la Divinidad puede salvar al mundo (hoy). (12) (Yo tengo) que tratar con una crisis que abarca y sacude a todo el mundo... La inmoralidad se ha puesto la vestimenta de la moralidad y está conduciendo al hombre al pantano del pecado. La verdad es condenada como una trampa; la justicia es burlada; los santos son torturados como enemigos sociales. Por lo tanto esta Encarnación ha venido para defender la Verdad y suprimir la falsedad. (13)

P: ¿Destruirás a los malvados como lo has hecho en Tus pasadas Encarnaciones como Rama y Krishna?

SAI: En este Avatar los malvados no serán destruídos, ellos serán corregidos; reformados; educados y conducidos nuevamente al camino del cual se han extraviado. (14) Esa es la razón por la cual este Avatar ha venido sin armas. Él ha venido con el Mensaje del Amor. La única arma capaz de transformar la maldad y el vicio es... el Amor. (15)

P: No parece haber en Tu mente ninguna duda de que triunfarás.

SAI: Hasta si los cielos cayeran, la Voluntad de Sai no se alterará. (16) Nada puede impedir o detener Mi Tarea. (17) La Voluntad de Dios no puede ser detenida. Los acontecimientos que Dios ordena deben tener lugar. (18) El Esplendor de este Avatar irá en aumento día tras día. (19)

P: Yo creo en Tí, Señor. Pero temo que muchos no creen.

SAI: Muchos vacilan en creer que las cosas mejorarán, que la vida será feliz para todos y llena de alegría, y que la Edad de Oro llegará. (Pero) permíteMe asegurarte que esta Encarnación del Dharma (Dharmaswarupa), este Cuerpo Divino, no ha venido en vano. Triunfará en impedir la crisis que ha recaído sobre la humanidad. (20)

P: Swami, algunas veces, cuando estoy en casa, siento miedo y soledad sin Tí a mi lado.

SAI: Cuando tengas miedo y dudas, óraMe. Ponte en sintonía con Mi Supremo Poder, el cual, comparado con el poder del Sol que He colocado en los cielos, es lo que la respiración de un bebé es a un tifón. (1)

P: Pero cuando me voy de Prashanthi, seguramente Tú estarás ocupado y Te olvidarás de mí.

SAI: No importa a donde vayas, siempre sabe que Yo estaré allí, en tu interior, guiándote en cada paso del camino... Tú eres Mío, lo más querido de lo más querido por Mí. Te protegeré así como los párpados protegen a los ojos. (2)

P: ¿Cómo sabrás que Te necesito, Swami?

SAI: LlámaMe en tu angustia; es tu derecho el invocar Mi Gracia. (3) Si Me llamas, Yo estaré a tu lado. (4)

P: Pero, Swami, seguramente Tú salvarás únicamente a los puros. Me he comportado muy mal recientemente.

SAI: El decir que debes ser puro con el propósito de ganar Mi Gracia es tan tonto como decir que ¡debes estar sano para recibir las recetas de un doctor! (5) ¿Por qué temer cuando Yo estoy aquí? Pon toda tu fe en Mí. Yo te guiaré y cuidaré de tí. (6)

P: Pero no puedo verTe cuando estoy en casa.

SAI: Yo te veo y estoy contigo, dondequiera que puedas estar. (7)

P: ¿Cómo puedes ayudarme desde tantas millas de distancia?

SAI: Dondequiera que estés, tú estás cerca de Mí. No puedes ir más allá de Mi alcance. (8)

P: Swami, ¿qué ocurre si no vienes?

BHAGAVAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA - QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS.

Q: Swami, why was I born?

Sai: For what purpose were you born? (1) Man has been sent into the world ... to realize the truth that he is not man, but God. The wave dances with the wind, basks in the sun, frisks in the rain, imagining it is playing on the breast of the sea; it does not know that it is the sea itself. Until it realizes the truth, it will be tossed up and down; when it knows it, it can lie calm and col­lected, at peace with itself. (2)

Q: How am I God, Swami? I am a human being with a human body.

Sai: You are in this body, in this recep­tacle ... to realize the God you really are. This body is the cocoon that you have spun round [yourself], by means of your im­pulses and desires. Use it to grow wings so that you can escape from it! (3)

Q: Do I have to reach God?

Sai: All creatures have to reach God. (4) It is the destiny of man to jour­ney from human-ness to divinity, as he has already journeyed from animal-ness. (5) Some may ascend a plane, others may travel by car or board a bus, some may prefer a train journey, others may like to trudge along – but all must reach the goal, some day or other. (6)

Q: But, Swami, where will I find Him?

Sai: [The] Divine Principle is the very core of man. ... It is the source of strength which is unfailing and ir­resistible. ... The Divine is here before you, behind you, inside you, outside you; the Intelligence through which you can recognize. (7)

Q: I'm sure I could find God if I lived here at Prashanthi Nilayam, with You.

Sai: The community in which you find yourself is the arena where you can win the victory, the gymnasium where you develop the skill to win. (8)

Q: But why must I stay in such an unhappy world, where I too am un­happy?

Sai: You [learn] by the experience of the buffeting of the World. The World is a very essential part of the curricu­lum of man. (9)

The ... world is like a hotel to which we have come to experience the consequences of our actions in the past. The body is a room in the hotel in which we have to undergo the Karmic consequences. (10)

Q: When I am home, many things distract me. I don't often think of finding God.

Sai: Without trying to discover the Di­vinity that is in the human form, people are wasting their lives. If you examine the great scriptures of the world, you will find that they all emphasize the supreme precious­ness of being able to discover one's Divine nature, without which one cannot achieve real bliss. Man seeks worldly pleasures and pros­perity but does not seek that inner Divinity which will give him perma­nent happiness. (11)

Q: But, Swami, isn't it a long way?

Sai: You have got to go a long way. But do not be down-hearted. (12) I have come to guide [you]. (13) I am ... ready to help you from the first lesson to the last. (14)

Q: Swami, the Golden Age that You have spoken about, when will it begin?

Sai: The day when the brotherhood of man and the Fatherhood of God will shine bright and beautiful is dawning and drawing near. (1)

Q: What will this time be like?

Sai: This age [will be a] Golden Age for the seekers of God, for earning and learning Viveka. (2) [In it] falsehood will fail, truth will triumph, and vir­tue will reign. Character will confer power then, not knowledge or in­ventive skill or wealth. Wisdom will be enthroned in the Councils of Nations. (3)

Q: What sign will You give that the Golden Age is beginning?

Sai: The glory of Sai will spread to every part of the world. It will in­crease a thousand fold. (5) You will see thousands pressing along this road, hundreds on every rock on these hills. (6)

Q: How crowded it will be!

Sai: [That] day when millions will gather to benefit from the Avatar is fast coming; I am advising you to gar­ner and treasure all the Grace and all the Bliss you can, while you may, so that you can sustain your­selves ruminating on the sweet­ness of the memories and the ex­perience. (7)

Q: If millions come, where will we gather?

Sai: The time will soon come when this huge building or even vaster ones will be too small for the gatherings of those who are called to this place. The sky itself will have to be the roof of the Auditorium of the future; I will have to forego the car and even the airplane when I move from place to place, for the crowds pressing around them will be too huge; I will have to move across the sky; yes, that too will happen, believe Me. (8)

Q: Walk across the sky, Swami. How exciting that will be! How else will the world know You are the Lord?

Sai: Formerly, when the Govardhanagiri was raised aloft by the little boy, the Gopis and Gopalas realized that Krishna was the Lord. Now, it is not one Govardhanagiri, a whole range will be lifted. You will see! Have patience, have faith. (9)

Q: It is difficult for me to imagine such a miracle!

Sai: Do not be misled. It is not my pur­pose to strike men dumb by the display of miraculous might! I have come to confer the boon of bless­edness and the benediction of bliss as the reward for genuine spiritual endeavor and to lead mankind into Liberty, Light and Love. (10)

Q: How very fortunate I am to be alive this day.

Sai: Your good fortune ... is greater than that available for anchorites, monks, sages, saints and even personalities [embodying facets of Divine Glory]! (11) The fact that you are alive this day is a blessing. (12)

Q: Swami, why have you waited so long to declare Yourself publicly? Why do You not declare the Golden Age now?

Sai: Prior to that I have to bring such persons near me, who, in their previous lives, have been inces­santly and untiringly trying to get access to me through their severe Sadhana. A time will come when the world will know about the Ava­tar through public declaration. (13)

Q: Who will declare You to the world, Swami?

Sai: Devotees of world stature, able to speak of Sai, will be present when the time is correct for them. (14) The Mahapurushas, the Mahatmas, the Jnanis, [and] the Yogis ... will all be co-operating in the task of re-establishing righteousness and clearing the path for the World-at­taining Shanthi. (15)

Q: What will the world be like when You have finished Your work?

Sai: The world will be peaceful. ... All will be love – love, love, love eve­rywhere. (16)

Q: Oh, Swami, what can I do to be ready for the Golden Age?

Sai: Adhere firmly to the truth of your convictions. Be prepared to meet any challenges. ... Be ready to face any situation. ... Strengthen your faith in God. (17) Prepare for shouldering the task assigned to you – to be instruments dedicated [to] the mission on which the Divine has come. (18)

Q: Swami, You must get hungry, and yet I have never seen you eat.

Sai: For Me, your Ananda [Bliss] is My Food. (1) I need no other food than [that]. I am Anandaswarupa. My nature is Ananda. (2)

Q: Do you ever sleep then, Lord?

Sai: If I needed rest I would not have incarnated. (3) I do not sleep at night; I remember ... the events of my past appearances, and I laugh within myself as memories pass across. (4) In the middle of the night, [I turn] off the light and [rest] in bed because if the light is on devotees gather. ... People think that Baba rests in the afternoon until 4 p.m. But He never rests. He is never tired. He is always work­ing. (5)

Q: Don't you wish sometimes to travel somewhere else, just to get away from all this?

Sai: I have no need to see places. I am everywhere, always! (6) I am not moved by the craving for a change, or for recreation, or travel. (7)

Q: Do you ever worry that, with all these people here, You won't be able to complete Your work?

Sai: Worry is totally alien to me. I am not aware of any difficulties, dis­paragement or pressures caused by others. ... (8) Nothing can hold Me up or agitate Me or cast a shadow on Me in this Human Form.... My Sankalpa must prevail; My task must be accomplished. My Mission will succeed. (9) I may sometimes wait until I can achieve ten things at one stroke.... But My Word will never fail. (10)

Q: You are always at work and yet You seem so calm.

Sai: I do not have a time schedule to adhere to nor can any law bind me. I am the ultimate from whom every­thing originated, in whom it is pre­served and in whom it will be destroyed. (11)

Q: How can I know that side of You?

Sai: Stay at Prashanthi Nilayam; move with Me and experience My company and conversation. Listen to Me and watch Me and then form your conclusions; get in and know the depth; eat and know the taste. (12) The way in which the Avatar has to be used for one's liberation ... is: watch His every step, observe His actions and activities, follow the guiding principle of which His life is an elaboration. Mark His Love, His Compassion, His Wisdom, try to bring them into your own life. (13)

Q: I should not only watch You. I should also listen carefully to Your advice, should I not?

Sai: You can get Anandam only by following the advice I give you and that is why I am particular that you should listen carefully and take to heart all that I say. (14) Trust in My wisdom: I do not make mistakes. Love My uncertainty! For it is not a mistake. It is My Intent and Will. Remember, nothing happens without My Will. Be still. Do not want to understand; do not ask to understand. Relinquish understanding. Relinquish the imperative that demands understanding. (15)

Q: What is the goal of human life?

Sai: What is the goal of human life? What is the objective that man must realize? Is it just eating, drinking, sleeping, tasting a little joy and grief and finally dying, like any bird or beast? No, certainly not. A little thought will reveal that it is ... Brahma-Sakshathkara , the realization of the Absolute, of Brahman! (1) You have come from the Divine and you have to go back to the Divine. (2) That Divine Principle is the very core of man. Becoming aware of this Truth is the goal of life; it is the source of strength which is unfailing and irresistible. ... The Divine is here before you, behind you, inside you, outside you; the Intelligence through which you can recognize. It is also with you, but you are either blind or diseased with defective vision or, worse still, willfully inclined to close your eyes! (3)

Q: What is the aim of all spiritual practices?

Sai: All spiritual practices are aimed at [the complete] purification [of the heart]. (4) Love has an electric effect on human beings. It purifies the human heart. (5) Through love alone – love acquired through Sadhana, and shared with all as Sadhana – can peace be attained, by the individual as well as by the nation. (6) God is the very Embodiment of Love. ... God who is Love can be realized only through Love. (7) Unless you cleanse the mind with Love, the Full Moon of Spiritual Wisdom cannot shine therein. The recital of the Name, the observance of vows and vigils, of fasts and festivals, may scintillate on the Inner Sky of the mind, as stars stud the sky, but, until the Lamp of Love is lit, the darkness will not vanish. (8)

Q: Why must I work? Why can I not simply sit under this tree and read about God?

Sai: As long as you are in this world, you must be engaged in work. Work is very important for human beings. It is through your work and activities that you learn to harmonize thoughts, words and deeds. (9) Perfect freedom is not given to any man on earth because the very meaning of mortal life is relationship with and dependence on another. (10) The true Guru is not a human preceptor [teacher]. It is the Cosmos Itself, Prakriti, Creation, the World around us. (11) You [learn] by the experience of the buffetings of the World. The World is a very essential part of the curriculum of man. (12) The community in which you find yourself is the arena where you can win the victory, the gymnasium where you develop the skill to win. The spiritual journey lies through compassion, sympathy, mutual help, and service, and these are fostered by society and are to be used for society. (13)

Q: Are we alone in the universe? What are other beings like?

Sai: The universe is without beginning and in it dwell an infinitude of 'jivas' (living beings). Among these jivas, man is the most exalted being. (14) In all the universe there is no other planet that has human life, or a similar life form. ... There is life throughout the universe. [But] the expression of life on Earth is upward through the human to the Divine. By virtue of human birth, the next step is the full realization of the Divine. Human life is sacred and must be appreciated as having the highest value. (15)

The question about life in the universe arises because you project your own particular circumstances. You feel that other ways of life would be intolerable because such ways would be intolerable for you. In the hot, blazing Sun, for instance, beings are living. This life exists in circumstances considered to be intolerable by you. Elsewhere in the universe, life feels it is Divinity, is one with Divinity, and is quite happy, and feeling all is right. (16)

Q: Are there other "gods" besides God? What do they do?

Sai: Just as the ruler of a petty earthly domain has certain norms to go by in carrying out his duty, the Supreme Ruler of the world, the Almighty, too, [has] such regulations in the matter of the governance of the universe. It is puerile to say that God would do everything by Himself simply because He is omnipotent. ... Even as there is a delegation of authority in the administration of a terrestrial kingdom by a ruler by which various functions are performed by several ministers who are assigned the charge of certain departments and portfolios, in running the affairs of the Cosmos, the Almighty God too assigns certain functions to certain gods like Indra, Varuna, and Rudra. Just [as] all earthly matters are not taken directly to a king, but are presented to the concerned ministers for action, all prayers of man do not reach God Himself – they are attended to by His 'ministers' – Indra, Varuna and others. (17) The Lord will not interfere in the functions of the different deities. He lets Brahma, Vishnu, and Easwara carry out their respective functions according to the cosmic laws. (18) Prayers for worldly ends do not reach God. They will reach only those deities who deal with such restricted spheres. But all prayers arising from pure love, unselfish eagerness to render service and from hearts that are all inclusive will reach God. (19)

Q: Why do I feel happy when I see someone happy? Why do I not feel sad instead?

Sai: We are not troubled when something is good, only when it is bad. This is because goodness is natural and evil is an aberration. We are worried and alarmed when someone slides into wrong or is in pain or in sorrow. This is because nature plans us to be right, to be happy and ever in joy. It is a pity that man has lost his understanding of this Truth. (20)

Q: I always feel this yearning, no matter what I do. What is it?

Sai: Man has an inborn thirst for God, an in-built yearning for the Ananda of the highest order which will never fail or falter. (21) The Lord has so shaped man that he is inclined towards God and delighted at the expansion of his vision and happy when he is moral and virtuous. So man must serve his best interests by adhering to his basic nature, by concentration on Brahma, by the cultivation of Sathya and the practice of Dharma. (22) The deepest yearning of man is to experience the One, the Basis, the Being that has Become. (23) It is only by drinking God that [this] thirst can be quenched; not by substitutes or palliatives. (24) Man can obtain Santhi only by returning to [his] native home, viz., God. Until then, homesickness will haunt him. (25)

Q: What sets human beings apart from animals?

Sai: Discrimination ... sets [human beings] apart from the rest of the animals. (26) [The] divine power is present everywhere in creation. Only man has the capacity to recognize this power. (27)

No other living being [than man] has been endowed with intelligence and [a] discriminative faculty, heightened to this degree, in order to enable it to visualize the Atma. This is the reason why man is acclaimed as the crown of creation, and why the Sastras proclaim that the chance of being born as man is a very rare piece of good fortune. Man has the qualifications needed to seek the cause of Creation; he has in him the urge and the capacity. (28)

Man alone can rise through effort to higher stages of spiritual evolution. No other animal can do so. Animal tamers of the circus can train a tiger to perform various tricks, but they cannot change his nature. They cannot make it live on grass and completely deprive it of meat. But man is different. His nature can be changed by means of his own disciplined effort. He can control, by his will, the evil thoughts and ideas that arise in his mind. This is why birth as a human being is considered a rare gift. (29)

The special instrument that God has allotted man, namely, Buddhi or the Intellect, has to be used by man to become masters of these down-dragging senses. The Intellect has to be used to judge and decide the means for the upliftment of the human to the Divine. It has to help man to realize God. (30)

In a world replete with ... opposites, man has to make constantly the choice between what is right and proper and what is wrong or undesirable. A man who has no such discriminating faculty is an animal. Man should not let himself be guided by the mind. He should follow the directions of his intelligence (Buddhi). As long as you follow the mind, you cannot obtain Madhava (Divinity). (31)

Q: When I do something, do I do it or does God?

Sai: You have to realize that little depends on your efforts alone. You can have proof of this in your own body. For instance, what efforts are you making to see that your heart beats regularly? How far are you responsible for the breathing process that goes on continually? What is your contribution to the digestive process that goes on within you? Are these the results of human efforts? Can you continue to live merely by wishing that you should go on living? Are you able to end your life when you wish it? Are you responsible for your birth? Not at all. When you inquire into this problem, you will realize that it is your sense of doership and enjoyership which is causing all difficulties. (32)

When [a person] performs actions, regarding himself as the doer, the actions become fetters that bind him. All actions which are performed with the feeling that they are intended as offerings to please the Divine do not lead to bondage. They become "desireless" (Anapeksha) actions. One has to recognize that it is the Divine principle in all beings which is getting actions done through human beings as instruments. As long as man regards himself as the doer (kartrutva) and enjoyer (bhoktrutva) he cannot escape from the consequences of his actions. (33)

Q: What should I do if I see a crime?

Sai: Today many are indulging in actions opposed to Dharma and Truth and, on the basis of their caste or community, are promoting strife and conflict in the country. Elders in the nation are remaining mere spectators of all the unrighteous and violent actions that are being done by the evil elements. Even the scholars and intellectuals are remaining silent. Persons holding high office are merely watching what goes on. No one, however, is making any effort to stop this menace. They are not resisting the evil elements. It appears as if all their knowledge, position and influence have been reduced to nothing. Such persons, though they may not be indulging in unrighteous acts, are giving encouragement to them. When evil and injustice and violence are being perpetrated, if individuals look on unconcerned, they must be regarded as accomplices in the crimes. In the end they also suffer as much as the criminals. By their passive association, they provide encouragement to the evil-doers. When the good are associated with the wicked and do not oppose them, they share responsibility for the deeds of the evil doers. The Divine destroys even those who either do not oppose or remain passive while injustice and wrong-doing are perpetrated. The Divine will not consider whether they are learned or ignorant, wise or unwise. If they are learned or wise, why did they not stand up for truth and justice? Why did they remain silent? It means they are tainted by the same guilt. The failure to resist evil is their offense. It is only when we resist acts of unrighteousness and injustice and try to put down malpractices in society that we can claim to be assisting in the task of restoring Dharma. ... Whoever may commit an offense, whether a son, a relation or a close associate, one will be free from the taint of being accessory to the crime only if he opposes the wrong action and tries to correct the offender. If, on the contrary, he allows it or encourages it to be done, he will be guilty of abatement. (34)

Q: Swami, is there nothing in the universe that God did not create?

Sai: Everything in the world is derived from God. (1) Nothing is uncaused. ... Every being, object, incident has been caused by the Primal Cause and its direction or guidance. (2)

Q: What motivated God to create the world?

Sai: [God] has willed the world as His Sport. (3) Prakriti [the world] is just the leela of the Lord, set before you so that you may become aware of His Glory, His Splendor. (4)

Q: I have heard it said that God inhabits everything. Is this so?

Sai: The Divine dwells in the entire Universe, from the minute atom to the vastest star. (5) No place exists where he is not. (6)

Q: But, Swami, we often say that Nature is different from God. We say, "Not this. Not this." Does God dwell in Nature too?

Sai: You have to pour into the flames that rise up to destroy (for they are the flames of revelation, purification, discrimination) the limited vision that sees Nature as different from the Divine. The Divine created all this through the Divine and with the Divine substance. (7)

Q: Then what is the key to understanding the mystery of Nature and God?

Sai: The basic truth of Nature is the One in the many; that is the key to its understanding. (8) The easiest way of grasping the basic reality is to see the Lord in every creature; the Lord sporting in all this multiplicity, as the underlying reality of all. (9)

Q: Swami, I find these mysteries hard to understand.

Sai: The Divine mystery is incredibly marvelous. It is not easy for ordinary mortals to comprehend these mysteries. (10)

Q: What prevents me from understanding them, from comprehending the formless God?

Sai: The Unmanifested, Nirguna Brahman [Formless God] cognised at the climax of the Jnanamarga [wisdom path] cannot be grasped by the sense-centered individual without great travail and trouble. This is the reason why the Puranas dwell so much more on the Saguna aspect [the aspect of God with form] than on the Nirguna aspect of Godhead. First, the aspirant has to practice the Sadhana related to the Saguna aspect of God; this will endow him with concentration and later, according to the law of procedure from the gross to the subtle, he can merge his mind in the Nirguna Brahman. (11)

Q: How could I move from being sense-centered to being God-centered in order to be able to know this mystery of God?

Sai: Ponder over the ameliorative and curative advice I have given you out of the fullness of My Love; try to cleanse your minds through repentance of wrongs committed or contemplated; resolve with unshakable firmness to shape your lives anew, rid it of deep-rooted deleterious habits of speech, thought and action, and lead it in conformity with the Divine Plan, by which each of you will blossom into the fully Divine. Q: Swami, You said that everyone is here for a purpose. Why are _You_ here?

Sai: I have come to inscribe a golden chapter in the history of humanity. (1)

Q: What do You mean, Lord?

Sai: Sai has come ... to achieve the supreme task of uplifting the entire mankind, as one family through the bond of brotherhood, of affirming and illumining the Atmic Reality of each being in order to reveal the Divine which is the Basis on which the entire Cosmos rests, and of instructing all to recognize the common Divine Heritage that binds man to man so that man can rid himself of the animal, and rise to the Divine, which is his goal. (2)

I want to build one humanity without any religious, caste or other barriers in a universal empire of love which would enable my devotees to feel the whole world as their family. (3)

Q: How can just one being change the whole world?

Sai: The power of Sai is limitless; It manifests for ever. All forms of 'power' are resident in this Sai palm. (4) My Body, like all other bodies, is a temporary habitation but My Power is eternal, all-pervasive, ever-dominant. (5)

Q: Does that mean that You can simply snap Your fingers and cure everything in the world?

Sai: If I cure everything instantly, leaving the people at their present level of consciousness, they would soon mess up things and be at one another's throats again with the result that the same chaotic situation would develop in the world. (6) [Instead] I have to work through [people], rouse the in-dwelling God in them and evolve them to a higher reality in order to enable them to master the natural laws and forces. (7) [I will lead] the people ... to a higher level of consciousness to enable them to understand the truth of spiritual laws so that they may turn towards righteousness and steadfastly work for better conditions. (8)

Q: Why did the Lord Himself come?

Sai: When there is a small disturbance, a police constable is enough to put it down; when the trouble is threatening to develop into sizable proportions, a police inspector is sent; when it grows into a riot, the superintendent of police himself has to quell it; but when as now, all mankind is threatened with moral ruin, the inspector general comes down, that is, the Lord comes down with His army of saintly men and seekers. (9)

Q: If You are the Inspector General, will You protect us from nuclear war?

Sai: Evil is so widespread that humanity itself would be destroyed in a nuclear holocaust... . It is to prevent such a catastrophe that this present Avatar has come to raise human consciousness above the existing syndrome of anger, hate, violence and war and save the world from disaster. (10)

My mission is to pre-empt the fires [of thermonuclear conflagration] by reestablishing Dharma and the spiritual law of one God, one religion, one [heart] language embracing one humanity. (11)

Q: Swami, why has the United Nations been unable to keep the world from war?

Sai: Only the power of the Divine can save the world [today]. (12) [I have] to deal with [a] crisis which is world-wide and world-shaking. ... Immorality has put on the garb of morality and is enticing man into the morass of sin. Truth is condemned as a trap; justice is jeered at; saints are tortured as social enemies. Hence this Incarnation has come, to uphold the True and suppress the False. (13)

Q: Will you destroy the wicked as you did in your Rama and KrishnaIncarnations?

Sai: In this Avathar, the wicked will not be destroyed; they will be corrected and reformed and educated and led back to the path from which they have strayed. (14) That is why this Avathar has come unarmed; It has come with the message of love. The only weapon which can transform the vile and the vicious is ... Love. (15)

Q: There seems no question in Your mind that You will succeed.

Sai: Even if the heavens fall, Sai's resolve will not alter. (16) Nothing can impede or halt [My] work. (17) The Will of God cannot be stopped. The events God ordains must take place. (18) The splendor of this Avathara will go on increasing, day by day. (19)

Q: I believe You, Lord. But I fear that many will not.

Sai: Many hesitate to believe that things will improve, that life will be happy for all and full of joy, and that the golden age will recur. [But] let me assure you that this dharmaswarupa, this divine body, has not come in vain. It will succeed in averting the crisis that has come upon humanity. (20)

Q: Swami, sometimes, when I am home, I feel afraid and lonely without You near me.

Sai: When in fear and doubt, pray to Me. Tune in to My mighty Power, which, compared to the power of the sun which I have placed in the heavens, is what a baby's breathing is to a typhoon. (1)

Q: But when I leave Prashanthi, surely You will be busy and forget about me.

Sai: No matter where you go, always know that I will be there, inside you, guiding every step of the way. ... You are my very own, dearer than dear to me. I will protect you as the eyelids protect the eyes. (2)

Q: How will You know I need You, Swami?

Sai: Call on Me in your distress; it is your right to invoke My Grace. (3) If you call upon Me, I shall be at your side.*** (4)

Q: But, Swami, surely You save only the pure. I have been very bad recently.

Sai: To say that you have to be pure in order to win My grace is as foolish as to say that you have to be healthy to receive the ministrations of a doctor! The pure do not need a Master! The tough do not need a doctor! (5) Why fear when I am here? Put all your faith in Me. I shall guide and guard you. (6)

Q: But I cannot see You when I am home.

Sai: I see [you] and I am with [you], wherever [you] may be. (7)

Q: How can You help me thousands of miles away?

Sai: Wherever you are, you are near Me. You cannot go beyond My reach. (8)

Q: Swami, what happens if You do not come?

Sai: I will not forsake you. I have come to help, to accompany, and to carry you. I can never forsake you. I will never fail in My duty to My children. (9) Nothing will harm him who turns his attention toward Me.(10) Sai Krishna will install Himself in the lotus of your heart. He will be ever with you, as guard and guide, and will shower Grace on you. He will be the Mother, Father and Precep­tor, the Nearest Kinsman; He will be your All. (11)

Q: Even when I have been bad?

Sai: However you are, you are Mine. I will not give you up. (12)

Q: Even if I forget You for a while?

Sai: Those who stray away will come again to me, do not doubt this. I shall beckon them back to me. (13)

Q: Oh, Swami, You are the best friend anyone ever had!
