¡Estoy aquí de nuevo en la misma situación, de no saber qué decir.! Siempre he estado dependiendo de Swami para hablar, así que había pocas ideas que tenía que generar de mi parte. Y estas son las únicas ocasiones en que tengo que esforzarme un poco. Pero al final, llego con la mente totalmente en blanco.
Esta mañana le dije a Swami que iba a hablar durante tattva sameeksha y él debía darme alguna pista sobre de lo que debía hablar. Y se sentó allí como una piedra.! Él no dijo ni una palabra. Lo intenté otra vez y él no dijo ni una palabra. Así que acabo de ofrecer namaskar y me he presentado, " pase lo que pase será debido a Ti, dedicado a Ti.
Con este sentimiento voy a ir y descansando en tus manos. Todavía esta sentado como una piedra.! (risas)
Para todos los que se han reunido aquí con mucha impaciencia para escucharme, déjenme confesarles que también estoy muy ansioso por escucharme a mí mismo. Porque no tengo ni idea de lo que voy a decir hasta ahora.!
Literalmente mastique el cerebro de Vinod hasta hace cinco minutos y le pedí que me dijera qué hablar. Él tampoco tenía idea, así que le dije que iba a contar sobre él. Dijo que lo que sea que crea correcto, hazlo. Así que estoy aquí para contarles sobre Vinod hoy. Cómo conocí a Vinod Kumar y cómo personifico la necesidad del momento, cuando necesitamos estar con Swami.
Bueno, he aprendido esta lección de este joven, probablemente hace tres años y medio, y estoy aquí para compartir la lección y espero que todos nosotros aprovechemos una hoja del maravilloso capítulo de su vida con Swami. Y este lugar está lleno de gente como Vinod. Hay algo que aprender de todos los que vienen aquí, por jóvenes o viejos que sean.
Como todos saben, en algún momento a fines de 2011, agosto, comencé a venir a Muddenahalli con más frecuencia. Y cada vez era Swami quien me decía que vaya a Muddenahalli mientras vivía en Bangalore o Raipur, según sea el caso.
Venía aquí solo para entregar el mensaje o las instrucciones de Swami a Sri Narasimha Murthy, cuando Swami le había dicho que íbamos a construir una escuela en Gulbarga. ¡Ni siquiera sabía que Gulbarga existía en Karnataka! Ese era el estado de las cosas, pero solo repeti lo que vino a mi boca. Hasta 2014, solía viajar por todas partes a Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Muddenahalli, Chennai, Raipur; cada vez que Swami me pedía que fuera y conociera a devotos, y casi como un cartero entregaba el mensaje y regresaba. ¡Y muchas veces también les decía que no entregaría más mensajes!
En algún lugar en 2013, estaba sentado con los estudiantes aquí en el bloque Pre Universitario en Muddenahalli. Todos los estudiantes salientes me pedían que escribiera algo en su diario. No sé cuántos sabían lo que estaba sucediendo detrás de escena. Pero me vieron como otro hermano mayor. Cada vez que se acercaba un niño, cerraba los ojos, rezaba por un momento y permitía que el mensaje viniera de Swami, que era mi conexión interna con él. Los mensajes iban tan espontáneamente sobre el papel, que cuando le entregaba el cuaderno al chico que me lo había dado; él estaba asombrado, porque ese mensaje sería lo más importante que Él necesitaba saber en ese momento. Cada uno iba y le contaba al otro, y pronto hubo una larga cola afuera. ¡En cuestión de dos horas, terminé escribiendo de 150 a 200 diarios como este!
Al día siguiente mientras caminaba por el bloque administrativo, sentí que alguien me estaba siguiendo. Me di la vuelta, y como estaba bastante oscuro, todo lo que vi fue una silueta de niño y entonces le pregunté, '¿qué quieres?'
Se presentó como Vinod y dijo muy avergonzado, 'Anna, he estado mirándolo a usted en nuestro bloque de la universidad y quería hablar con usted, pero no pudo hablar. "En lugar de seguir hablando, comenzó a llorar. Las lágrimas fluían y no sabía por qué lloraba. Luego dijo: "¡Anna (hermano)! Quiero estar con Swami. ¡No quiero dejarlo y partir! "Al instante, cerré los ojos para orar porque me conmovió mucho. ¿Cuántos de nosotros lloramos por Dios? Es un privilegio llorar por Dios. ¡Lloramos por todo y en el momento hacemos que Dios también lloré por nosotros! Escuché la voz de Swami decir instantáneamente: "Dile, lo mantendré conmigo, pase lo que pase". Le transmití esto. Él estaba muy feliz y regresó.
Los exámenes terminaron y comenzaron los problemas típicos. Aunque querían estar aquí, la familia, los amigos y los parientes querían que siguiera una carrera en medicina. Pero él había solicitado en silencio el Centro de Excelencia Humana Sri Sathya Sai, que todos ustedes saben que es una institución que Swami estableció en 2014 para crear más personas como Èl, no como Tyagajeevis o Madiyal Narayan Bhat, sino su propio Yo, como Swami.
Ese fue el primer lote. Él vino a Kodaikanal con Swami. Cuando vino a servirle comida a Swami en el primer piso, Swami lo miró y le dijo: 'Te dije que te mantendrìa conmigo, ¡aunque tenga que suplicarle a tus padres!' Esta era la primera vez que había escuchado algo como eso. Felicité a Vinod. Mientras que Vinod se emocionó con las palabras de Swami, al mismo tiempo, en el fondo de su corazón, sabía que no iba a ser fácil para él.
El último día del viaje, todos estábamos almorzando con Swami junto con los estudiantes que se unirían al Centro para la Excelencia Humana. Mientras almorzaba, Swami llamó al Señor Murthy y le dijo: 'Vamos a tener una obra de teatro sobre Madiyal Narayan Bhat'. Luego, mirando a cada estudiante, escogió a los personajes y dijo: 'Actuarás como Narayan Rao, actuarás como Madiyal Narayan Bhat. Luego señaló a Vinod y le dijo: "actuarás como Narasimha Murthy". Vinod se sobresaltó. Eventualmente, Vinod se fue a casa después del viaje, pero le resultó muy difícil convencer a su gente sobre sus planes de regresar y estudiar aquí. Este es el único caso en el que creo que Sri Narasimha Murthy ha hecho algo así en su carrera con Swami como guardián en las cuatro décadas, llamando al padre de Vinod y diciéndole: "¡Baba me ha pedido que suplique por tu hijo para la institución!" El padre de Vinod debe haber pensado: "No sabía que esta institución suplica por la gente".
Imagínate la tenacidad de Sri Narasimha Murthy, Swami dice hazlo, y ¡simplemente lo hace! Obviamente, cayó en oídos sordos. No querían que volviera aquí. Y todos nos dimos por vencidos. Fui y le dije a Swami también que no iba a suceder. Pero Swami no se rindió. Swami dijo: 'Vinod vendrá'. '
El último día, todos pensaron que todo había terminado; y de repente Vinod apareció en el Ashram. Le preguntamos si su padre le permitió venir finalmente. Él dijo, no, '¡¡¡simplemente me escapé de casa !!!' (Risas). Le dijo a su gente que iría a la casa de su abuela en otro pueblo, pero en cambio tomó un autobús a Muddenahalli y se fue porque no podía mantenerse alejado. . Al día siguiente, sus padres vinieron y dijeron: 'si quieres estudiar aquí, que así sea, pero no hagas cosas como esta'. Finalmente, el problema se solucionó y él está aquí. Y estoy seguro de que él estará aquí todo el tiempo que Swami lo quiera, para que esté aquí o en cualquier otro lugar donde Swami lo desee.
Pensé para mis adentros, aquí está Swami a quien no se ve, por así decirlo, a quien no se escucha, por así decirlo, que no está disponible como estuvo disponible hace unos años. Y, sin embargo, hay un muchacho de apenas diecisiete o dieciocho años, que CREE en el Amor de Swami, en su presencia y toma una decisión tan atrevida como esta como abandonar todo por su bien. La institución aún no había comenzado, la misión estaba en la etapa inicial, y no había tantos devotos como hoy, no tanto apoyo. Era casi como una probabilidad 50-50. En ese momento, ¡un corazón joven saltó hacia Dios y se encontró aquí! Vinod ha actuado en tres o cuatro dramas desde entonces como Sri Narasima Murthy, tanto que por eso; ¡Swami lo llama 'Duplicado de Narasimha Murthy'!
Permítanme ser franco al decirles que no tuve esta clase de valor cuando era estudiante de Swami. Lo amaba, sabía que me amaba. Pero no sé si tuve este tipo de amor que me hubiera hecho quemar todos mis botes, quemar todos mis puentes y solo venir por Él y nada más. Estos niños son tan afortunados porque han entendido algo que la mayoría de nosotros no hemos entendido hasta la fecha. Seguimos aferrados agarrando canicas pequeñas y no permitimos que esos diamantes entren en nuestras palmas, que Swami trajo aquí para darnos. Y aquí están estos niños dejando todo por Dios, esta es la generación con la que estamos lidiando. Esta es la esperanza; este es el futuro del mundo al que nos enfrentamos. No pienses que él fue la primera persona en lograr una proeza tan rara. Antes de eso, su propio compañero de clase había hecho lo mismo hace solo dos años. Él era solo un chico de la décima clase entonces. Él llegó a saber que Swami estaba aquí, lo cual era más un rumor entonces. Ni siquiera era tan abierto y obvio como hoy. Incluso ese chico, una noche simplemente desapareció de su casa porque quería estar aquí, eso es todo.
¿Como es esta atracción de Dios hacia estos pequeños corazones? No pueden mantenerse alejados. Ellos son valientes. Este tipo de intrepidez, debo decir, no lo desarrollé hasta hace poco, hasta que Swami se hizo tan disponible para mí y me hizo ver su presencia, su poder, su omnisciencia. Hasta que me lo demostró de muchas maneras, no tuve esta valentía. No tuve este coraje y desinterés para simplemente abandonar todo por su bien, eso también cuando ni siquiera lo ven ni lo escuchan. Ni siquiera saben si alguna vez lo verán o lo oirán. Pero aún ese amor, la atracción de Swami atrajo a todos estos estudiantes hacia Él mismo. No han visto nada del mundo, pero han entendido una cosa, la más importante que uno debe entender. Cuán puro corazón deben tener estas personas para que no puedan resistir el tirón. No están distraídos, desviados por otras atracciones. Simplemente se apresuran hacia Dios.

“These children here have understood something which most of us have not understood even till date. We still hang on to, hold on to petty marbles and not allow those diamonds to come into our palms that Swami is here to give.”
I am back here again with the same predicament of not knowing what to speak! I have always been depending on Swami to speak, so there was little thinking that I had to do on my part. And these are the only occasions, when I have to put some effort. But at the end of it I just came with a total blank.
This morning I told Swami that I was going to speak during Tattva Sameeksha and He must give me some cue on what I must speak. And He sat there like a stone! He did not say a word. I tried again and He did not say a word. So I just took Namaskar and submitted, ‘whatever happens will be due to You, dedicated to You. With this feeling I am going and rest is in Your hand.’ Still He sat like a stone! (laughter)
To all those who have gathered here very eagerly to listen to me, let me confess I am also very eager to listen to myself. Because I have no clue so far!
I literally chewed up Vinod’s brains till five minutes ago asking him to tell me what to speak. He was also clueless, so I told him that I was going to tell about him. He said whatever you think is right, you do. So I am here to tell about Vinod today. How I met Vinod Kumar and how epitomises the need of the hour, how we need to be with Swami.
Well, I have learnt this lesson from this young man, probably three and a half years ago and I’m here to just share the lesson and I hope that all of us would take a leaf out of his life’s wonderful chapter with Swami. And this place is full of such people like Vinod. There is something to be learnt from everyone who is coming in here, however young or old, he or she might be.
As you all know that somewhere around late 2011, August, I started coming to Muddenahalli more often. And every time it would be Swami who would tell me to go to Muddenahalli while I lived in Bangalore or Raipur as the case might be. I would come here just to deliver Swami’s message or instructions to Narasimha Murthy Sir, when Swami had told that we were going to build a school in Gulbarga. I did not even know that Gulbarga existed in Karnataka! That was the state of affairs but I just repeated whatever came to my mouth. Till about 2014, I used to travel all around to Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Muddenahalli, Chennai, Raipur; wherever Swami was asking me to go and meet devotees and almost like a postman delivering the message and coming back. And many times also being told not to deliver anymore messages!
Somewhere in 2013, I was sitting with the students here in Muddenahalli PU block. All the outgoing students were asking me to write something in their diary. I don’t know how many knew what was going on behind the scenes. But they saw me as another elder brother. Every time a boy approached, I would close my eyes, pray for a moment and I would allow the message to come from Swami which was my internal connection with Him. The messages would go so spontaneously over the paper, that when I would hand over the note book to the boy who had given me; he would be astounded because that message would be the most important thing that He needed to know at that point in time. Each went and told the other, and soon there was a long queue outside. In a matter of two hours, I ended up writing on 150 to 200 diaries like this!
Probably, next day as I was walking across the administrative block, I felt that somebody was following me. I turned around, and since it was quite dark, all I saw was a silhouette of a boy and so I asked him, ‘what do you want?’ He introduced himself as Vinod and said very sheepishly, ‘Anna, I have been watching you in our college block and wanted to talk to you but I could not speak.’ Instead of speaking further, he started crying. Tears were flowing and I did not know why he was crying. Then he said, “Anna (brother)! I want to be with Swami. I don’t want to leave Him and go!” Instantly, I closed my eyes to pray because it touched me so much. How many of us cry for God? It’s a privilege to cry for God. We cry for everything and at time make God also cry for us! I heard Swami’s voice instantly say, “Tell him, I will keep him with Me, come what may!” I conveyed this to him. He was very happy and went back.
The exams were over and the typical issues started. Though he wanted to be here, but family, friends, relations wanted him to pursue a medical career. But he had silently applied for Sri Sathya Sai Center for Human Excellence which you all know is an institution Swami established in 2014 to create more people like Him, not like Tyagajeevis or Madiyal Narayan Bhat, but His own self, like Swami. That was the very first batch. He came to Kodaikanal with Swami. When he came to serve food to Swami on the first floor, Swami looked at him and spoke, ‘I told you I will keep you with Me, even if I have to beg you from your parents!’ This was the first time I had heard something like this. I congratulated Vinod. While Vinod was moved by Swami’s words, at the same time, in his heart of hearts, he knew that it was not going to be easy for him. On the last day of the trip, we were all having special lunch with Swami along with the students who were to join the Center for Human Excellence. While having lunch, Swami called Murthy Sir and told him, ‘We are going to have a play on Madiyal Narayan Bhat.’ Then looking at each student He picked the characters and said, ‘You will act like Narayan Rao, you will act like Madiyal Narayan Bhat. Then He pointed to Vinod and said, ‘you will be acting like Narasimha Murthy.’ Vinod was startled. Eventually Vinod went home after the trip but found it very difficult to convince his people about his plans to come back and study here. He went through a tremendous turmoil. And I felt that he had given up because of the few conversations I had over the phone. I gave up hopes too.
This is the only case I believe Narasimha Murthy Sir has ever done such a thing in his career with Swami as warden in the four decades, as calling up Vinod’s father and telling, “Baba has asked me to beg your son for the institution!” Vinod’s father must have been thinking, ‘I did not know this institution begs for people’. Imagine Narasimha Murthy Sir’s tenacity, Swami says do it, he just does it! Obviously, it fell on deaf ears. They did not want him to come back here. And we all gave up. I went and told Swami also that it’s not going to happen. But Swami did not give up. Swami said, ‘Vinod will come.’
On the very last day, everybody thought it’s all over; and suddenly Vinod appeared in the Ashram. We asked him if his father permitted him to come finally. He said, no, ‘I just ran away from home!!!’ (laughter) He told his people that he was going to his granny’s home in another village but instead caught a bus to Muddenahalli and came away as he could not stay away. Next day, his parents came and said, ‘if you want to study here, so be it but don’t do things like this ever.’ Finally the issue was settled and he is here. And I am sure he is going to be here for as long as Swami wills him to be here or anywhere else wherever Swami wishes him to be.
I thought to myself, here is Swami who is not seen – so to say – who is not heard – so to say – who is not available like He was available a few years ago. And yet there is one young boy of barely seventeen or eighteen, who BELIEVES in Swami’s Love, in His presence and takes a decision as bold as this to abandon everything for His sake. The institution had not yet started, the mission was at just the beginning stage, and there were not so many devotees as today, not so much of support. It was almost like a 50-50 probability. At that stage, a young heart leapt for God and found itself here! Vinod has acted in three or four dramas since then as Narasima Murthy Sir so much so that; Swami calls him ‘Duplicate Narasimha Murthy’!
Let me be frank in telling you, I did not have this kind of courage when I was a student of Swami. I loved Him, I knew He loved me. But I don’t know if I had this kind of love that would have made me burn all my boats, burn all my bridges and just come for Him and nothing else. These children are so blessed because they have understood something which most of us have not understood even till date. We still hang on to, hold on to petty marbles and not allow those diamonds to come into our palms that Swami is here to give. And here are these children leaving everything for God, this is the generation that we are dealing with. This is the hope; this is the future of the world we are dealing with. Don’t think he was the first person to achieve such a rare feat. Before that his own classmate had done the same thing just two years ago. He was just a tenth class boy then. He came to know Swami was here which was more of a rumours then. It was not even so open and obvious as today. Even that boy, one night just vanished from his home because he wanted to be here, that’s it.
What is this pull of God to these little hearts? They can’t stay away. They are fearless. This kind of fearlessness, I must say, I did not develop it till recently, till Swami made Himself so available to me and made me see His presence, His power, His omniscience. Till He proved it to me in so many ways, I did not have this fearlessness. I did not have this courage and selflessness to just abandon everything for His sake, that too when He is not even seen or heard. They don’t even know if they will ever see or hear Him. But still that love, the pull of Swami drew all these students to Himself. They have not seen anything of the world but they have understood one thing, the most important thing that one must understand. How pure hearted these people must be that they cannot resist the pull. They are not distracted, deflected by any other attractions. They are just rushing towards God.
