CAMBIOS EN LA NUEVA ERA...

¡Que bueno!

¿Será la próxima gran cosa? Tata Motors de India cree que sí. ¿Qué van a hacer las empresas petroleras para detenerlo?  Es un motor de automóvil que funciona con aire. Así es, con aire, ni gas o diesel ni eléctricos, sólo con el aire que nos rodea. Eche un vistazo.  Tata Motors de India ha programado el coche de aire para salir a las calles de la India por agosto de 2012. El Air Car, desarrollado por el ex ingeniero de Fórmula Uno, N. Guy, para MDI con sede en Luxemburgo, utiliza aire comprimido para empujar los pistones de su motor y hacer que el coche avance. El Air Car, llamado el "Mini CAT" podría costar alrededor de US$ 8,177.  El CAT Mini, es un coche simple, urbano ligero, con un chasis tubular, un cuerpo de fibra de vidrio que no está pegado con soldaduras y accionado por aire comprimido. Un microprocesador se utiliza para controlar todas las funciones eléctricas del automóvil. Un pequeño radio transmisor envía instrucciones a las luces, señales y cualquier otro dispositivo eléctrico en el coche. Que no son muchos. La temperatura del aire limpio expulsado por el tubo de escape está entre 0 a 15 grados bajo cero, lo cual lo hace apto para su uso por el sistema de aire acondicionado interior sin necesidad de gases ni pérdida de potencia.  No hay llaves, sólo una tarjeta de acceso que puede ser leída por el coche desde su bolsillo. Según los diseñadores, el costo es de menos de US$ 1.12 por cada 100 km, que es aproximadamente una décima parte del costo de un automóvil que funciona con gas. El kilometraje es casi el doble del coche eléctrico más avanzado,un factor que lo hace una opción perfecta para los automovilistas de la ciudad. El coche alcanza una velocidad máxima de 105 km por hora y tendría un rango de alrededor de 300 kms entre recargas. La recarga del coche se llevará a cabo en estaciones de servicio adaptadas con compresores especiales de aire. El rellenar sólo demora 2 a 3 minutos y cuesta alrededor de 2.25 US$, y el coche estará listo para circular otros 300 kilómetros. Este coche también se puede rellenar en casa con el compresor de a bordo. Le llevará de 3 a 4 horas para llenar el tanque, pero se puede hacer mientras usted duerme.  Como no hay motor de combustión, el cambio de 1 litro de aceite vegetal sólo es necesario cada 50,000 km. Debido a su simplicidad, hay muy poco mantenimiento que se realiza en este coche. Este coche de aire casi suena demasiado bueno para ser verdad. Ya lo veremos en agosto de 2012.      Tata Motors of India has scheduled the Air Car to hit Indian streets by August 2012

Esa fue la época, cuando me había trasladado a Chennai para establecer una industria de pequeña escala. Yo había tomado un hombre joven como socio. Cuando el negocio se estaba recuperando lentamente, mostró su verdadera cara y se detuvieron las ventas. Esto casi me puso en la calle, en una ciudad desconocida, de Chennai, en el que ni siquiera tenia ningún  familiar para que me ayude.

Mi socio pidió una indemnización en efectivo y no pude ir a ninguna parte para conseguir esa suma. Durante esos días difíciles que había dejado de visitar la fábrica y me quede en la casa. La única actividad que estaba asistiendo eran los programas de lectura y literatura en el Sai Samithi (centro Sai). Los acontecimientos que siguieron, resultaron ser que Swami estaba haciendo lo mejor para mí y, al mismo tiempo impartió conocimiento espiritual  para mí en su forma sutil.

Este nuevo conjunto súbita fue sólo un fenómeno temporal. Sin embargo, Swami se convirtió en una gran oportunidad para infundir en mí el concepto maravilloso y la práctica de saranagarhi (rendición). Mentalmente he ganado fuerza en mi fe en Sai. Dejé todo a él , ya que yo mismo era un cero sin ninguna capacidad para hacer frente al problema por mí mismo, recurrí a la lectura de la literatura Sai muy vigorosamente. Yo no tenía nada más que hacer, y espere que Swami tomara el control de la situación. Ha habido varios casos como este, de Su misericordia en mi vida. Debido a mi fe intensa, deje de preocuparme. 

Y Swami hizo el siguiente paso!

Mi anciana madre aún vivía en ese momento con uno de mis hermanos en Bombay. Ella me había recordado varias veces, que ella había ido a Tirupathi caminando todo el camino y subió por las colinas, llevándome en su embarazo. Alguien le había dicho que en esa época que si nacía una niña, no sería bueno para la familia. Así que ella estaba orando por un hijo varón en esta ocasión.
Y sus plegarias fueron escuchadas, y yo nací, niño. Ella quería que me llamara con el nombre del Señor de Tirupati, pero mi padre ya había elegido el nombre Venkateswara. De ahí que me nombró Srinivasan, que es uno de los muchos nombres del Señor Venkateswra. 

Ella igualmente había hecho una promesa en nombre del Señor, que ella  iba a llevarme al templo y ofrecer mi cabello. Aunque, en ese momento yo tenia 55 años, nunca había visitado Tirupathi y no había podido cumplir con la promesa de mi madre. Después de convertirme en un devoto de Sai, yo no tenía ningún interés en visitar otros templos e ir en peregrinación a los lugares sagrados. 
Sólo Sai era mi Dios y  Prashanti Nilayam era el único lugar de peregrinación. 
Yo era fanático y muy fuerte en mi devoción a Sai, que no reconozco ninguna otra forma de Dios como digna de adoración, ya que creo que Swami es la encarnación de todos los nombres y formas. 


Fue en ese momento que comencé a tener visiones de mi anciana madre, en mi sueño de forma regular suplicando que vaya a Tirupathi y ofrezca  mi pelo al Señor y asi cumplir con su promesa antes de salir del cuerpo. Pero yo estaba tratando de ser "racional"!.  El Señor Balaji (Venkateswara) va a ser beneficiado en algún modo por la ofrenda de mi cabello? ¿Entonces por qué este tonto sentimiento de las promesas sentimentales ? Dios no va a castigarme si el pelo no se ofrece. Él siempre perdona y protege a sus devotos. Esto es lo que podemos aprender de Sai.


Yo estaba leyendo un libro de Swami,  "Sri Sathya Sai Speaks ', pero no recuerdo cuál era el volumen. ¡Allí estaba! . En uno de sus discursos divinos accidentalmente me topé con un párrafo. Comienza con una pregunta de Swami. "¿El Señor Balaji necesita tu cabello? " Swami responde que el Señor no desea el pelo. Pero entonces ¿por qué esas promesas se hacen?.
Swami explica además que si el Señor requiere el pelo o no, es el deber del devoto mantener al día su palabra. "Si no mantiene la palabra al Señor ¿cómo puede alguien esperar que se cumpla su promesa a los seres humanos?. Como tal, sin debatir si el Señor Balaji está interesado en su pelo o no, es su deber cumplir con el voto hecho en el nombre de Dios. "


Al instante supe que Swami me estaba enseñando otra lección sobre la importancia de adherirse a Sathya (la verdad).
Empecé a reflexionar sobre la importancia de la enseñanza. Pero los seres humanos egoístas,  tratamos de interpretar que uno nunca había hecho tal promesa. He intenta escabullirse de su obligación de conciencia y mantener la promesa hecha a la divinidad. 


Me equivoqué de nuevo. Swami no me permitía escapar. Al día siguiente tomé otro libro al azar para mi lectura diaria. El era "Rama Katha Rasa Vahini". Una vez más la casualidad hizo que abriera una página con estas palabras que me miraban. "¿Sabía que el Señor Sri Rama no hizo ninguna promesa de ir a la selva? . Y sin embargo,  decidió a renunciar al trono y procedió a ir a la alegría de los bosques. A pesar de que no había dado ninguna palabra el Señor Sri Rama, estaba muy ansioso por cumplir con las promesas hechas por su Padre el Rey Dasharatha ".



Me sentí como si alguien me hubiera abofeteado. Comprendí las implicancias de esas líneas. A la vez, me levanté de la silla, y se dirigí al lugar donde las fotos de Bhagavan se mantuvieron durante todos los días para las pooja y oraciones. Me arrodillé frente a la imagen de Bhagavan y recé para que me perdonara. Le prometí que iba a ir a Tirupathi muy pronto y cumplir con el voto de mi madre.
He  inmediatamente después de que hice la promesa a Bhagavan Baba, las cosas se movieron muy rápido. Mi socio insistió en un acuerdo de solución amistosa, y firmar  la disolución del acuerdo de asociación, y al salir de la fábrica, me hacia el único propietario de la empresa.

Una vez solo en la fábrica me encontraba en estado de aturdimiento. Dentro de las 24 horas,  Swami había encontrado la solución a su manera. Al final, el resultado neto del largo período de agonía demostró ser beneficioso. Si bien había querido hacer algo por mi propio bien, Él también me había enseñado unas cuantas lecciones sobre el principio de saranagathi ( rendición ).

Yo no olvidó la promesa que hice a Bhagavan el día anterior. De la fábrica llame por teléfono a una agencia de viajes y contrate un taxi de turismo para que podamos viajar a Tirupathi el mismo día. De alguna manera sentía un gran entusiasmo dentro de mí, en ir en esta peregrinación especial a Tirupati, igual a la de mi visita a Prashanti Nilayam. 


Como se mencionó anteriormente, nunca había ido a este templo de la colina. Pero yo había escuchado, de varios amigos, que íbamos a tener que esperar varias horas en las colas, incluso si optamos por Darshan. Cuando llegamos a la cima de la colina, que era casi de noche. Sacamos los tickets y fuimos a la cola.
No se encontraba a nadie en la cola. Al pasar por la fila de barricadas no había ninguno a la vista. Por fin llegamos a la Gopuram principal y luego Dwajasthamba, el oro metálico cubría el pabellón. Sin embargo, nadie fue visto y como estábamos entrando en el santuario sagrado, claramente podría tener el darshan de la deidad hermosa, el señor Venkateswara, de pie majestuosamente. 


Sentí que me llamaba"Ven a mi hijo, vamos, que estoy esperando". Sentí como si nuestro Swami estaba llamándome. Yo estaba tenia lágrimas al oír este llamado y corrí hacia el lugar sagrado. Había unos pocos sacerdotes en el pasaje. Corrí y caí postrado. Yo estaba llorando. Mi esposa hizo lo mismo.
Los sacerdotes alertas, nos dijeron que nos  levantáramos. Hay una regla que nadie puede ofrecer Namaskar en el interior del santuario.
Más tarde me dijeron que el Darshan había sido suspendido temporalmente por unas horas, ya que hubo algunas celebraciones en la Pushkarini (templo). 
Fue sólo una coincidencia que fuimos los primeros en entrar después de la reanudación del Darshan. ¿O fue una coincidencia en absoluto? . El Señor había organizado los acontecimientos con la sincronización perfecta! .
Nos sentimos agradecidos a Swami por hacer nuestra primera visita a Tirupati tan feliz.

STORY BEHIND THIS PHOTO .

That was the time, when I had moved over to Chennai to establish a small scale Industry. I had taken a young man as a Partner. When the business was slowly picking up, he showed his true colours and created a stalemate in banking operations. This almost put me in the street, in an unknown city of Chennai, where I did not even had any family relations to help me out.
My partner claimed huge cash compensation in settlement and I could go nowhere to raise such a sum. During those difficult days I had stopped visiting the factory and stayed in the house. The only activity of mine was attending the programmes of the Samithi and reading Sai literature. The developments that followed, proved that Swami was doing what was best for me and at the same time imparting certain spiritual knowledge to me in His own subtle way.
This sudden set back was only a temporary phenomenon. But Swami turned it into a tremendous opportunity to infuse in me the wonderful concept and practice of saranagarhi (surrender). Mentally I gained strength and in my faith in Sai. I left everything unto Him since I was myself a zero without any capacity to tackle the issue by myself I resorted to reading of Sai literature very vigorously. I had nothing else to do, and waited for Swami to take control of the situation. There had been several such instances of His mercy in my life. Because of my intense faith I ceased to worry.
And Swami made the next move!
My aged mother was still living at that time with one of my brothers in Bombay. She had recalled to me several times that she had gone to Tirupathi walking all the way and climbing the hills when she was carrying me in her pregnancy. Somebody had told her that at that point of time if a girl were to be born, it would not be good for the family. So she was praying for a boy child this time.
And her prayers were answered and I was born, a boy. She wanted to call me by the name of Lord of Tirupathi, but my father was already bearing that name Venkateswara. Hence she named me Srinivasan, which is one of the many names of Lord Venkateswra. She had further taken a vow in the name of the same Lord that she would bring me to the temple and offer my hair. Though, at that time I was aged 55, I had never visited Tirupathi and could not fulfill the prayer of my mother. After becoming a devotee of Sai, I had no interest left in me to visit other temples and go on pilgrimages to sacred places. Only Sai was my God and Prashanthi Nilayam was the only place of pilgrimage. I was fanatically so strong in my devotion to Sai that I did not recognize any other form of God as worthy of worshipping, since I believed that Swami is the embodiment of all names and forms. It was at that time that I started having visions of my old mother in my dream very regularly pleading to go to Tirupathi and offer my hair to the Lord and fulfill her prayers before she left the body. But I was trying to be ‘rational’! Is Lord Balaji (Venkateswara) going to be benefited in any way by the offer of my Hair? Then why is this sentiment about all the foolish sentimental prayers? God is not going to punish if the hair is not offered. He always forgives and protects His devotees. This is what we learn from Sai.
I happened to be reading a book of Swami as usual It was 'Sri Sathya Sai Speaks' but I do not remember which volume it was. There it was! In one His Divine discourses I accidentally stumbled upon a paragraph. It begins with a question from Swami. "Does Lord Balaji need your hair?" Swami answers that the Lord does not want you hair. But then why such prayers are made? Swami further explains that whether the Lord require your hair or not it is the duty of the devotee to keep up his words. " If you do not keep up the word to Lord how can any one expect that you will keep your promise to human beings? As such, without debating whether Lord Balaji is interested in your hair or not, it is your duty to fulfill the vow taken in the name of God." Instantly I knew that Swami was teaching me another lesson on the importance of adhering to Sathya (the truth).
I started pondering over the importance of that teaching. But egoistic human beings, as we are, the so-called intelligence tried to interpret that I had never made such a vow. I tried to wriggle out of my conscious obligation towards keeping up the promise made to the divinity. I was wrong again. Swami did not allow me to escape. The very next day I took another book at random for my daily reading. It happened to be "Rama Katha Rasa Vahini”. Again on casually opening a page these words were staring at me. "Did Lord Sri Rama make any promise any time to go to forest? And yet He made up his mind to relinquish the throne and joyfully proceeded to forest. Though he had not given any word Lord Sri Rama was very eager to fulfill the promises made by His Father King Dasaratha ".
I felt as if somebody had slapped me. I understood the implications of those lines . At once, I got up from the chair, and proceeded to the place where Bhagavan’s photos were kept for daily pooja and prayers. I knelt before the Bhagavan’s picture and prayed that I should be forgiven. I promised that I would proceed to Tirupathi very soon and fulfill the vow of my mother to shave off my head.
And immediately after I made the promise to Bhagavan Baba, things moved very fast. My adamant partner agreed for an amicable settlement, and signed on dotted lines on the dissolution of Partnership agreement, and walked out of the factory, making me the sole Proprietor of the firm.
Left alone in the factory I was in dazed condition. Within 24 hours, Swami had found the solution in His own way. In the end, the net result of the long period of agony proved to be beneficial. While He had willed to do something for my own good, He had also taught me a few lessons on saranagathiprinciple.
I did not forget the promise I made to Bhagavan the day earlier. From the factory I telephoned to a travel agency and organized a tourist taxi so that we could proceed to Tirupathi the same day. Somehow I could feel an overwhelming enthusiasm within me in going on this special pilgrimage to Tirupathi, equal to that of my visit to Prashanthi Nilayam. As mentioned earlier, I had never gone to this hill temple. But I had heard from several friends that we would have to wait several hours in the large queue boxes even if we opt for special Darshan for which a charge is levied. When we arrived atop the hill, it was almost night. We got our tickets and were shown the entrance point of the queue.
We did not find anybody in the queue. As we passed through the barricaded line there were none to be seen. At last we reached the main Gopuram and then the Dwajasthamba, the metallic gold covered flag post. Still nobody was seen and as we were entering the sacred sanctum we could clearly have the darshan of the beautiful Deity, Lord Venkateswara standing there majestically. I felt that I heard him calling me "Come my son, come, I am waiting for you". I felt as if our Swami was actually calling me. I was full of tears as I heard this and dashed into the sanctum. There were a few priests in the passage. I ran in and fell down prostrating. I was weeping. My wife followed suit.
The priests became alert and directed us to get up. There is a rule that nobody could offer Namaskar inside the sanctum. While we were coming out of the sanctum scores of devotees were streaming in chanting 'Govinda, Govinda'. Later on I was told that the Darshan had been temporarily suspended for a few hours, since there were some celebrations in the Pushkarini (temple tank). It was just a coincidence that we were first to go in after resumption of Darshan. Or was it a coincidence at all? Lord Himself had developed the situation with perfect timing! We felt grateful to Swami for making our first visit to Tirupathi so blissful.
