Bhagavan personalmente bendijo la colocación de la piedra fundacional , y al finalizarse la obra, fue inaugurado por las manos divinas el 12 mayo de 1968. Bhagavân llamo al complejo con el nombre "DHARMAKSHETHRA".

Coincidiendo con la inauguración del Dharmakshethra, la primera Conferencia Mundial de la Org. Sri Sathya Sai Seva,  se llevó a cabo también en el Colegio Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan Andheri Occidente.

Durante esta conferencia mi esposa y yo, con nuestro de  3 años de edad Sri Venkatesh, y mi cuñado nos instalamos cerca de la sede de la conferencia.

Srimathi de Tara Prema Ashram, Thane y sus pocos seguidores también se estaban hospedando con nosotros.

Mi esposa tuvo un tiempo de prueba. Ella se cambiaba con frecuencia de lugar, con la esperanza de que Swami la mirara desde corta distancia. Durante los cinco días de la conferencia, nunca Swami la miro. Ella estaba molesta y enojado también. Tuvimos muchos problemas en nuestra familia, principalmente en el frente financiero, y ella esperaba que con el darshan de Swami ganará su gracia, y todos los problemas serian resueltos .

En el último día de la conferencia, nos decidimos a ir al Dharmakshethra. Después de un larga caminata desde la carretera principal, llegamos al   Dharmakshethra, pero Swami no estaba allí. Decidimos esperar. No había mucha gente alrededor. En un área remota un poco alejado del camino de entrada, había un terreno pedregoso, donde estábamos sentados, esperando a que llegue Swami. Después de algún tiempo, Swami llegó. Se puso cerca de la puerta de entrada. Mi esposa se ​​negó a correr hacia él, diciendo que Swami puede volver a evitarla.

Swami tomó una ruta para disuadirla y comenzó a caminar hacia el lugar donde estábamos sentados. El lugar estaba cubierto por piedras, era difícil de caminar sin un calzado.

Fiel a las palabras de Swami, nunca hubo una ocasión en nuestra vida para que ella llorara. A partir de ese día, empecé a prosperar poco a poco, y en pocos años pude incluso establecer una industria en Chennai. Swami también me bendijo con posibilidades de participar en diversas actividades de mega servicios.

STORY BEHIND THIS PHOTO.
(You should not cry hereafter)

Bhagavan personally blessed the laying of foundation stone ceremony, and ultimately it was inaugurated by the divine hands on the 12th May 1968. Bhagavan named the complex as “DHARMAKSHETHRA.”

Coinciding with inauguration of Dharmakshethra, the first world conference of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization was also held in the Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan College complex in Andheri West.

During this conference my wife and myself with our 3 year old son Sri Venkatesh, shifted to my brother-in-law ’s in Azad Nagar near the conference venue. Srimathi Tara from Prema Ashram, Thane and her few followers were also staying with us.

My wife had a testing time. She was frequently changing, her place hoping that Swami would look at her from close quarter. During all the five days of the conference, Swami never obliged. She was upset and angry too. We had lot of problems in our family mainly in the financial front, and she was hoping that Swami’s darshan will earn His grace, and all the problems would solved.

On the final day of conference, we decided to go to Dharmakshethra. After a long trekking from the main road, we reached Dharmakshethra, but Swami was not there. We decided to wait. There were not many people around. In a remote area slightly away from the drive way, there was rocky ground, where we were sitting, waiting for Swami arrive. After some time, Swami arrived. He got down near the entrance gate, and starting climbing up walking all the way. My wife refused to run towards Him, saying Swami may again avoid her.

Swami took a deterred route and started walking towards the place where we were sitting. The place was covered by rubles, and difficult to walk, that too without a foot wear.

Swami came in front of us, and stood looking at us with tender Love and compassion. My wife could no longer control herself. Started crying, over powering all the emotions she was undergoing for the last few days. Swami avoided her in the big crow of devotees, and but here Bhagavan was walking to the remote place where we were sitting. Swami looked at her, and smiled. And then Bhagavan Baba uttered, “Nee inime azhakoodathu, Amma”. (Amma, hereafter you should never cry)

True to Swami’s words, there was never any occasion in our life for her to cry. From that day onwards, I started prospering gradually, and in a few years I could even establish an Industry in Chennai. Swami also blessed me with chances of participating in various mega service activities.

Una figura en frío en una tarde calurosa de Swami !

Una vez, hace unos años, estábamos todos sentados en la tarde, en el
porche en el Salón Sai Kulwant. Era una tarde calurosa.
Eramos unos pocos alrededor de Swami, y sentados en la sala eran miles. De repente
en el centro de las conversaciones causales, Swami materializó una fruta del higo
a la vista de la gran reunión. La paso entonces a todos nosotros y cuando lo recibí me pareció que estaba frío, como si hubiera  justo sido  sacado de un congelador! 

Imagínese cómo sería tener una fruta fría en un verano caliente 
Más tarde, Swami la partió en pedazos y se la distribuyo , 
y me dieron un pedazo también ! Hmmmm,  estaba delicioso! 

Voy a concluir con la historia de otra materialización  que fue notable. 

Esto sucedió durante el período en que era el Vice-Canciller. 

Esos días, después del Darshan, Swami , siempre me llamaba y también a  algunos otros
 hermanos relacionados con el Instituto, a la sala de entrevistas para pasar algún tiempo con él. 
Ese día, el guardián de nuestro albergue también estuvo presente. 
Como un pequeño pero intensamente  gesto de amor, el guarda había traído con él, 
en una vasija de plata, con maní o cacahuetes sin cáscara, como dicen en América. 

Billet increíble de un cacahuete! 

Se lo ofreció a Swami que primero se negó, pero luego tomo algunos. 
Entonces, Él comenzó a darnos una semilla a la vez. 
Hicimos una ronda, y luego otra y luego comenzó en la tercera. Todo el mundo 
extendió la mano para recibir el prasadam de Swami y cuando me toco a mí 
yo hice lo mismo. Pero lo que cayo en mis manos no era un pedazo de 
de maní, era un tocho de esmalte con un trabajo de arte en él. 
Swami me dio una desconcertada mirada y dijo: "Mira lo que es." 

Lo tomé cerca de la ventana de la sala de entrevistas y trate de ver lo que 
estaba en el tocho, pero no podía ver con claridad, ya que no tenía mis 
gafas. Swami a continuación, hizo algunos comentarios burlones y dijo: "Este 
tocho muestra la forma cósmica del Señor. A éste se incorporan las formas 
de Baba de Shirdi y Swami. He dejado algo de espacio para Prema Sai también. 
¿Debo incluir Prema Sai también? "Nos quedamos en silencio, aturdidos por la
experiencia. Luego sonrió y dijo: "No, no incluiré a Prema Sai,  porque ustedes, 
compañeros desleales me abandonaran  y se irán  tras él ! " 
Todos se rieron. 

Swami luego lo tomó , y lo sostuvo cerca de su boca y comenzó a soplar 
en el. Pensé que iba a hacerlo desaparecer, pero lo convirtió en 
un anillo brillante ! . Swami lo sostuvo mostrándolo en alto  
para que todos nosotros nos quedáramos atónitos. 
Él dijo: "Un Goldsmith tomaría quince días para hacer un anillo, pero lo he hecho 
en menos de quince segundos! "Entonces me dijo que estirara mi mano derecha . 
Yo simplemente no podía creerlo. 

En este mundo donde hay tantos maravillosos devotos, Swami estaba 
dando a este anillo extraordinaria para mí de todas las personas. Pero entonces que es 
Dios. Como Ramakrishna Paramahamsa dijo una vez: "Nadie puede decir quién lo hará 
recibir la Gracia de Dios. Puede haber gente muy cualificados, pero el Señor, 
por razones que sólo él conoce, puede elegir a alguien mucho menos lo merecía. " 
Muy cierto, como lo que puedo decir por experiencia personal.

A Cold Fig On A Hot Afternoon by Swami!

Once, a few years ago, we were all seated in the afternoon on the
lower porch in the Sai Kulwant Hall. It was a hot afternoon. A few of
us were around Swami, and seated in the Hall were thousands. Suddenly
in the middle of causal conversations, Swami materialised a fig fruit
in full view of the huge gathering. He then passed the fig around to
us and when I received it I found it was cold, as if it had just been
taken out of a deep freeze! Imagine getting a cold fig on a hot summer
afternoon. Later Swami made it into pieces and distributed the fruit,
and I got a piece too! Hmmmm, it was delicious!!

I shall conclude with the story of another such materialisation, which
was remarkable in its own way. This happened during the period when I
was the Vice-Chancellor. Those days, after Darshan was over, Swami
would invariably call me and a few others connected with the Institute
into the Interview room to spend some time with Him. That day, the
Warden of our Hostel here was also present. As a small but intensely
loving gesture, the Warden had brought with him in a silver vessel,
some shelled groundnuts or peanuts as they say in America.

Amazing Billet From A Peanut!

The Warden offered it to Swami who first refused but later pooped one
nut into His mouth. He then started giving us one nut at a time. He
did one round, then another and then started on the third. Everyone
put out his hand to receive the Prasadam from Swami and when my turn
came I did the same. But what fell into my hand was not a piece of
groundnut but an enamel billet with some art work on it. I gave Swami
a puzzled look and He said, "See what it is."

I took it near the window of the Interview room and tried to see what
was on the billet but could not see clearly since I did not have my
glasses on. Swami then made some teasing remarks and said, "This
billet shows the Cosmic Form of the Lord. Embedded in it are the forms
of Shirdi Baba and Swami. I have left some space for Prema Sai also.
Shall I include Prema Sai also?" We remained silent, stunned by the
experience. He then smiled and said, "No I shall not include Prema Sai
because you faithless fellows would desert Me and go after Him!" We
all laughed.

Swami then took the billet, held it near His mouth and started blowing
on it. I thought He was going to make it disappear; instead, it became
a full-fledged ring, shining brilliantly! Swami held it high showing
the ring to all of us, even as we were dumbstruck. He said, "A
goldsmith would take fifteen days to make a ring, but I have done it
in less than fifteen seconds!" He then asked me to stretch my right
hand. I simply could not believe myself.

In this world where there were so many wonderful devotees, Swami was
giving this extra-ordinary ring to me of all persons. But then that is
God. As Ramakrishna Paramahamsa once said, "Nobody can say who will
receive God's Grace. There may be very eligible people, but the Lord,
for reasons best known to Him, may choose someone far less deserving."
Very true indeed, as I can say from personal experience.

Queridos hermanos, reciban nuestros más amorosos y humildes
saludos. Es con inmensa alegría que queremos compartir con ustedes la
información sobre la visita oficial a nuestra Venezuela, del Prof. Sri
Vedanarayanan Kollengode del lunes 16 de abril al lunes 23 de abril. Está
ansioso de compartir con nosotros en esta gran gira por nuestro país, que
tocará las 4 regiones del país. El itinerario de su visita oficial será el
que describimos a continuación:

- El 16 de abril a las 6:00 p.m. Satsang en Maracaibo, Edo. Zulia.

- El 17 de abril a las 6:00 p.m. Satsang en Puerto Ordaz, Edo. Bolívar.
- El 18 de abril a las 6:00 p.m. Satsang en Caracas, Distrito Capital.
- Del jueves 19 de abril al domingo 22 de abril será el invitado de
 honor en el 1er Retiro Nacional de Recitación Védica. A llevarse a cabo en
 la casa de retiros Rosey en San Antonio de los Altos, Edo. Miranda.

El Prof. Sri Vedanarayanan, es actualmente miembro de la facultad de la
Escuela Secundaria Superior Sri Sathya Sai (SSS Higher Secondary School) en
Prashanti Nilayam. Su primera visita a Prashanti Nilayam fue a la tierna
edad de 6 años en 1968. Fue bendecido por Bhagavan para unirse al Colegio
Universitario en Brindavan para el programa preuniversitario en 1976.
Completó su Bachellor (Estudios de pregrado) en ciencias (Química, Botánica
y Zoología) en 1981 en Brindavan, y completó por instrucción directa de
Bhagavan el Programa de M.A. (Maestría en Artes) en filosofía en la
Universidad de Bangalore, graduándose con los más altos honores, siendo el
primero en el ranking de la universidad y acreedor de la medalla de oro de
la misma. En 1984 se unió a la escuela secundaria superior para enseñar
sánscrito, por orden directa de Bhagavan. Luego hizo una M.A. (Maestría en
Artes) en Sánscrito en 1992, siendo nuevamente uno de los primeros de la
promoción y de la universidad. Y en 2005 le fue otorgado el “Premio
Nacional para Maestros de Secundaria” en la India, en Nueva Delhi por el
entonces presidente, Sri Abdul Kalam, en base a “su eficiencia académica;
deseo por promover mejoras en la educación; interés y amor genuinos por los
niños; envolvimiento en la vida social de su comunidad y buena reputación
en la misma".

Durante el último cuarto de siglo ha estado participando y dirigiendo
sin interrupción la recitación de himnos védicos alrededor de la residencia
de Swami (Vedapradakshina o Vedaparayanam), también ha estado dirigiendo la
recitación védica desde que se comenzaron a entonar en la mañana y la tarde
durante el Darshan de Bhagavan en el Sai Kulwant Hall el 18 de septiembre
de 2003. Es también fotógrafo oficial en el mandir desde hace ya varios
años.

Nuestro hermano Vedanarayanan es un gran devoto, muy amoroso y
humilde, con un gran conocimiento sobre los Vedas y sobre las enseñanzas de
Swami, un excelente orador, que ha dado charlas en retiros y actividades de
la organización Sai en toda India, y en USA. Además tuvo la gracia, entre
otras muchas cosas, de estar presente en la entrevista donde Swami reveló
el “Sai Gayatri” al erudito védico en Brahmasri Ghandikota Subrahmanya
Shastri, siendo el primero en escucharlo junto con los estudiantes que se
encontraban presentes en el cuarto de entrevistas, el 24 de diciembre de
1977 en Brindavan.

Pedimos Amorosamente que esta invitación sea divulgada a través de todos
los canales oficiales de la Organización, y leída en las ceremonias y
sesiones de círculos de estudio de esta semana. Y que todos nos preparemos

Dear brothers,

Receive our most loving and humble greetings. It is with immense joy
that we want to share with you information about the official visit to
our Venezuela of Prof. Sri Vedanarayanan Kollengode from Monday 16th
of April to Monday April 23rd. He is eager to share with us in this
great tour of our country, who will play the 4 regions of the country.
The itinerary of his official visit will be which we describe below:

April 16 at 6: 00 p.m. Satsang in Maracaibo, Edo. Zulia.

April 17 at 6: 00 p.m. Satsang in Puerto Ordaz, Edo. Bolívar.

Prof. Sri Vedanarayanan, is currently a member of the Faculty of the
school high school senior Sri Sathya Sai (SSS Higher Secondary School)
in Prashanti Nilayam. His first visit to Prashanti Nilayam was at the
tender age of 6 years in 1968. It was blessed by Bhagavan to join the
College in Brindavan the pre-university programme in 1976. He
completed his Bachellor (undergraduate studies) in science (chemistry,
botany and Zoology) in 1981 in Brindavan, and completed by direct
instruction of Bhagavan programme M.A. (master of Arts) in philosophy
from the University of Bangalore, graduating with highest honors,
being the first in the ranking of the University and the Gold Medal of
the same creditor. In 1984 he joined the upper secondary school to
teach Sanskrit, by direct order of Bhagavan. He then made a M.A.
(master of Arts) in Sanskrit in 1992, again being one of the first of
the promotion and the University. And in 2005 he was awarded the "Prix
national for teachers of secondary" in the India in New Delhi by the
then President, Sri Abdul Kalam, on the basis of "academic
efficiency;" desire to promote improvements in education; interest and
love for the children; "involvement in the social life of their
community and good reputation in the same".

During the past quarter-century has been participating and conducting
without interruption the recitation of hymns Vedic around the
residence of Swami (Vedapradakshina or Vedaparayanam), also has been
directing the Vedic recitation since that they began to sing in the
morning and evening during the Darshan of Bhagavan in the Sai Kulwant
Hall on September 18, 2003. He is also official in the mandir
photographer for several years now.

Our Vedanarayanan brother is a great devotee, very loving and humble,
with a great knowledge on the Vedas and the teachings of Swami, an
excellent speaker, has given lectures in retreats and activities of
the Organization Sai in all India, and in the USA. He also had the
grace, among many other things, to be present at the interview where
Swami revealed the "Gayatri Sai" the Vedic scholar in Brahmasri
Ghandikota Subramanya Shastri, being the first to listen to it
together with the students who were present in the room of interviews,
on 24 December 1977 in Brindavan.

We lovingly call that this invitation is disclosed through the
official channels of the Organization, and read in the ceremonies and
meetings this week study circles. And we all prepare to welcome our
dear brother with all the love it deserves. We invite all devotees,
followers, supporters and anyone interested. Regional committees will
report details of the Satsang as approaching the date thereof. Also
the Central Council will report on the national retirement as
approaching the date of its completion.

Bhagavan milagrosamente envía de vuelta a casa ha un australiano - a través de su
sala de entrevistas!

Un grupo de seis devotos habían llegado para tener el darshan de Baba desde
Australia. Le pidieron una entrevista privada a Baba.

Durante el curso normal de la charla, Baba miró a uno de los
devotos y le preguntó - "¿Por qué has venido ahora ?. Tu madre no está bien.
Ella te necesita allí en Australia ".

Él respondió diciendo: - "Sí, Baba, llame a casa ayer por la noche y esta
noticia me la transmitieron . Rezo por su pronta recuperación. "

Baba respondió -

"Vete a casa pronto. Ella  pregunta por ti . De hecho, vete a casa ahora ".

Y diciendo esto, Baba creó un mapa del mundo con el gesto de la mano.
Él lo extendió en la pared y la siguiente conversación se llevó a cabo:

Baba lo tocó y cambió el mapa del mundo en un mapa de Australia.

Baba: "En que lugar de Australia ?"

Devoto: "Nueva Gales del Sur, Baba." (Señalando el mapa).

Cuando el devoto menciono el lugar, Baba lo tocó y el gráfico
cambio para mostrar todos los apartamentos en la zona.

Entonces Baba tocó la casa en la que el hombre se hospedaba y ¡he aquí! la
pared de la sala de entrevistas se convirtió en la puerta de la casa del devoto. Baba
Abrió la puerta y mostró al hombre a su madre durmiendo en el sofá.
Baba llamó al hombre y le pidió que fuera y cerró la puerta. Él
frotó las manos en la puerta y la puerta se convirtió en la pared de la
sala de entrevistas de nuevo!

Más tarde, cuando los australianos salieron de la sala de entrevistas, sólo cinco
salieron en lugar de los seis que entraron.  Los estudiantes de Prasanthi
Nilayam campus al ver esto. Más tarde llamaron por teléfono al hombre que fue enviado

Baba dijo que ---

Esa experiencia de llegar a Australia desde la sala de entrevistas fue mi Leela para demostrar que
es posible para mí hacer eso si es necesario. El tiempo y el espacio no son barrera para Dios. "

Bhagawan miraculously sends an Australian back home - through His
interview room!

A group of six devotees had come to have darshan of Baba from
Australia . Baba called them for a private interview.

During the normal course of the talk, Baba looked at one of the
devotees and asked -- “Why did you come now. Your mother is not well.
She needs you there back in Australia” .

He replied saying-- “Yes Baba, I called home yesterday night and this
news was conveyed to me. I pray for her early recovery.”

Baba replied --

“Go home soon. She is asking for you. In fact go home now.”

So saying, Baba created a map of the world with the wave of the hand.
He spread it on the wall and the following conversation took place :
--

BABA : “Where is Australia in this map ?”

Devotee : “Here, Baba .” (Pointing to the map).

Baba touched it and the world map changed into an Australian map.

BABA : “Where in Australia do you say ?”

Devotee : “New South Wales, Baba .” (pointing to the map).

Baba touched it and the Australian map changed into the map of New South Wales.

BABA : “Where in New South Wales do you say ?”

When the devotee mentioned the place, Baba touched it and the chart
changed to show all the apartments in the area.

Then Baba touched the house in which the man was staying and lo! the
wall of the interview room became the door of the devotee’s home. Baba
opened the door and showed the man his mother sleeping on the sofa.
Baba called the man and asked him to go in and closed the door. He
rubbed his hands on the door and the door became the wall of the
interview room again!

Later when the Australians came out of the interview room, only five
came out instead of the six who went in. The students of Prashanthi
Nilayam campus saw this. Later they called back the man who was sent
to Australia only an hour later, who confirmed his ‘safe arrival’.

Baba said that ---

“Time and space exist only in the worldly plane. In the divine plane
there is no time and space. I can easily cross time and space as and
when I want to. That experience of the Australian crossing space to
reach Australia from the interview room was my leela to show you that
it is possible for me to do that if necessary. Time and space hold no
barrier for GOD.”

La piedra era un cameo de Prema Sai, el Señor amoroso de la creación, destinado a aparecer en la Tierra unos pocos años después de la muerte física de Sathya Sai. Era una piedra marrón, muy vidriada, esculpida en el perfil, el puente y la longitud de la nariz eran visibles,  con una sugerencia del arco del ojo izquierdo. Era una noble cabeza con el pelo largo hasta los hombros, bigote y barba, la cabeza apoyada en o emergiendo de una flor de loto. Su rostro estaba tranquilo, apacible y majestuoso.

Baba dijo: "Esta ahora en el proceso de nacimiento, así que no puedo mostrar más de él. Esta es la primera vez que se muestra al mundo."

Dondequiera que voy, los devotos piden ver el anillo. ... En un año ,  aquellos devotos que había visto el anillo en algún momento antes,  dijeron algo sorprendente al verlo de nuevo. Ellos dijeron: "Se está dando vuelta. La nariz entera se puede ver ahora."

Mi respuesta siempre fue, en verdad, que yo podía ver ningún cambio. Pero ellos dijeron: "Lo ves todos los días y no te das cuenta."

... Un día, [en 1980], en una reunión de devoto, estaba mostrando el anillo, y lo miramos con cuidado. Me llamó la atención: "Es diferente! Está cambiando!.

Ahora toda la nariz está ahí , visible, mientras que en un primer momento toda la nariz no era visible - o mejor dicho la nariz se fusionaba con el borde de la piedra y no parecía ser completamente visible. Pero ahora hay un espacio entre la nariz y el borde de la piedra. Además, una porción del ojo izquierdo se puede ver y también una porción de la mejilla izquierda.

Sai Ram - The Divine Prema Sai Avatar



Sathya Sai Baba says that He is the second of a triple incarnation. The first was Shirdi Sai Baba and the third will be Prema Sai Baba. Below, we give the information that is known about Prema Sai Baba, with references to the sources.

The first mention of Prema Sai by Sathya Sai Baba appears to be in the discourse Shiva Shakthi, 6 July 1963, In a conversation between Shiva, Shakthi, and Bharadwaja after Bharadwaja performed a ritual, Shiva said that they would take human form and be born in the Bharadwaja lineage, thrice: Shiva alone as Shirdi Sai Baba, Shiva and Shakthi together at Puttaparthy as Sathya Sai Baba, and Shakthi alone as Prema Sai, later.

We have heard often that Prema Sai will be born eight years after the passing of Sathya Sai Baba, which will take place when Sathya Sai Baba is 96. We do not have a reference for this information. In "The Sai Trinity", by Dr. S.P. Ruhela (Taring paperbacks, Vikas Pubishing House Pvt Ltd, New Delhi, 1997), the author states that Sathya Sai Baba has been disclosing small amounts of information to close devotees from time to time and states that Sai Baba has predicted that Prema Sai will be born in Karnataka about 8 years after He leaves this body.

Howard Murphet, in his book Sai Baba: Invitation to Glory (Chapter 4), says that :
Finally, Sathya Sai states, there will be Prema Sai who, one year after the passing of the Sathya Sai form, will be born in Karnataka (the old Mysore State), at a place between Bangalore and the city of Mysore.

On page 16 of the book Living Divinity author Shakuntala Balu writes ;
Sri Sathya Sai Baba has said that there will be one more Sai Avatara called Prema Sai. The third Sai will be born in Gunaparthi, a village in the Mandya district of Karnataka. Thus, Sri Sathya Sai Baba refers not only to his past, but also to the future form he will assume as Prema Sai.

In Sathya Sai Baba, The Embodiment of Love, by Peggy Mason and Ron Laing, the authors write about a discussion they had about Prema Sai.


We wondered if the next descent as Prema Sai, to come very quickly after the present form is vacated at the age of ninety six, would be female.
Baba replied, "No, male, in Mysore -- Karnataka." (Since 1972, the state of Mysore is called Karnataka.)

In Glimpses of the Divine: Working with the Teachings of Sai Baba" (1993), author Birgitte Rodriguez writes :
In a more private talk to students in recent years, Baba told them that the father of His next incarnation, as Prema Sai, had been born in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. He also said that the body of Prema Sai was in the process of being formed.

In Spirit and the Mind, by Sam Sandweiss, the author recounts an extended interview given by Sathya Sai Baba to the Senior Editor, Mr. R.K. Karanjia, of Blitz new magazine in September 1976.

Question: Why had this task to be divided into three separate incarnations of the Shirdi, Sathya, and Prema Baba?

Baba: They are not separate. I have already mentioned the complete oneness of the three in the final objective of the mission. ... Their tasks and powers requisite to them differ according to the time, the situation, and the environment. But they belong to, and derive from, the same divine body (dharma swarup).
...
The previous Avatar, Shirdi Baba, laid the base for secular integration and gave mankind the message of duty as work. The mission of the present Avatar is to make everybody realize that the same God or divinity resides in everyone. People should respect, love, and help each other irrespective of color or creed. Thus, all work can become a way of worship.

Finally, Prema Sai, the third Avathar, will promote the evnagel news that not only does God reside in everybody, but everybody is God. That will be the final wisdom that will enable every man and woman to go to God.

The three Avathars carry the triple message of work, worship, and wisdom.

In John Hislop's My Baba and I, page 55-56, Hislop writes about Swami materializing a ring for Hislop with Prema Sai on it. The image of Prema Sai on the ring actually changed its position over the years. Hislop writes,

The stone was a cameo of Prema Sai, the loving Lord of Creation, destined to appear on Earth a few years after the death of the Sathya Sai Body. It was a brownish stone, highly glazed, sculptured in profile, the bridge and length of the nose visible with a suggestion of the arch of the left eye. It was a noble head with shoulder-length hair, moustache, and beard; the head resting on, or emerging from, a lotus flower. His countenance was tranquil, peaceful, majestic.

Baba said, "He is only now in the process of birth, so I cannot show more of him. This is the first time he is shown to the world."
...
Wherever I go, devotees ask to see the ring. ... In a year or so, those devotees who had seen the ring sometime earlier said something surprising on seeing it again. They said, "It is turning. The whole nose can be seen now."

My reply was always, in truth, that I could see no change. But they said, "You see it every day and do not notice."

... One day, [in 1980], at a devotee meeting, I was showing the ring, and I looked at it carefully. It struck me, "It is different! It is changing!.

Now the entire nose is there and visible, whereas at first the entire nose was not visible -- or better to say the nose merged into the edge of the stone and did not appear to be fully visible. But now there is a space between the nose and the edge of the stone. Moreover, a portion of the left eye can be seen and also a portion of the left cheek.

The Atma (Soul) is inherently devoid of attachment. It has no awareness of its own needs or nature of its possessions. It has no 'I' or 'mine' for these are the marks of ajnana (Illusion). Only those afflicted with ajnana will suffer from the ego or the sense of 'mine'. Though it may appear to ordinary eyes that ‘I am the doer’, the truth is ‘I am a non-doer’! Not only this, the effect of action (karma) does not cease as soon as it is finished. Karma yields fruits; the results of Karma breed desire for them; and that in turn results in impulses for further Karma. These impulses bring about further births. Thus Karma can lead to the cycle of births and deaths; it is a vicious whirlpool, making you revolve round and round, and finally dragging you down into the depths. Hence do not put your faith on this world and the objects of the world. Cultivate and practice detachment!
