La inspiración es DIOS ...
Swami habla a menudo de las cinco madres que tenemos que reverenciar -Dehamata (Madre Física), Deshamata (Patria), Bhoomata (Madre Tierra), Gomata (la vaca), Vedamata (los Vedas). En la entrevista que siguió, nos dio una idea de la importancia que daba a la madre patria. Demostró el gran amor de los patriotas que se habían sacrificado por la nación. Swami reveló que la hija de Bose era una señora muy devota y que incluso cantaban bhajans. Estábamos escuchando con la boca abierta y el corazón abierto. Elogió la humildad y la sencillez de Rajendra Prasad, primer presidente de la India independiente. También habló acerca de las excelentes habilidades de poesía que poseia Sarojini Naidu. Él también estuvo lleno de elogios para el trío de Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak y Bipin Chandra Pal . Popularmente llamado Lal-Bal-Pal .
A pesar de lo que dijo sobre el trío, él nos preguntó si aparece en el drama. El director respondió en nuestro nombre y le dijo: "Swami sólo ciertos episodios han sido incluidos debido a la falta de tiempo" . Swami le dijo a Jagdish que estaba a mi lado, que sus nombres por lo menos deben ser mencionados. Nosotros le prometimos que lo haríamos. Luego vino la parte más conmovedora de la entrevista. Swami de repente se volvió hacia el director y el vice canciller, y dijo: "La gente no sabe el verdadero significado de Swaraj . Ellos piensan que Swaraj significa estar libre de dominio extranjero, Swaraj es en realidad Swaaraaj . SWAA y Raaj. " y con una gran emoción exclame : "Swami, estamos mencionando esto en el drama! . Diciendo que SWAA significa YO y Raaj es REGLA. Es sólo cuando aplicamos en nosotros las reglas del ATMA o la conciencia, que podemos tener la verdadera libertad. La verdadera libertad es la liberación del apego al cuerpo, que proviene del conocimiento de que todo el mundo son chispas de la Divinidad. Y esto sólo puede suceder si seguimos nuestra conciencia. "
A pesar de que terminé diciéndolo, sentía que tal vez había hablado demasiado. Pero mi entusiasmo se debió al hecho de que se trataba de la misma inspiración que había sido la génesis del drama - el concepto verdadero de Swaraj.
... porque es sólo en las profundidades del silencio que la voz de Dios se escucha.
Swami me miraba y parecía aprobar cada palabra que dije. Luego, se volvió hacia el guardia y le dijo:
"¡Mira! Los chicos son muy buenos. Ellos captan rápidamente lo que se dice. "Esta fue una gran revelación para mí. Swami nunca nos había dicho nada a nosotros. Y, sin embargo, dijo que habíamos captado rápidamente lo que se había dicho. El concepto de Swaraj, sólo había sido inspirado por un sentimiento en mi corazón. Esto demostró que la inspiración que sentimos en el corazón, es una manera en la que el Señor se comunica con nosotros. Es sólo un corazón que ha sido tocado por la Divinidad, que puede sentir la inspiración.
Y para preparar esta inspiración, tenemos que entrar en las profundidades del silencio .
Elija esta última afirmación, de que es la Verdad!
Todos los problemas resueltos en un santiamén ...
Como corolario, asegúrese de que hay cosas cotidianas que te inspiren, porque ésa es la manera segura de saber que usted está en contacto con lo divino en su interior. La inspiración es divina! . Como adición de un peso adicional a esto, Swami también comenzó deciendo: "La gente no entiende lo que es Bharat. Ellos piensan erróneamente que Bharat significa la India ... " Una vez más, apareció mi entusiasmo,"Swami, estamos diciendo esto también! . Bharat es un lugar donde los valores humanos se practican y hay un gran amor por el Señor. No se trata de un sitio geográfico, sino esta basada en valores humanos. Si uno tiene verdadero amor a Dios y sigue los cinco valores humanos, se convierte en un Bharatiya. "
Swami sonrió en señal de aprobación y parecía disfrutar de mi emoción. Una vez más, una idea inspirada contaba con la aprobación divina, ¿porque no es la inspiración divina en sí misma?. Cuando estábamos hablando sobre el drama, le dije a Swami que no haríamos una escena de Bhagat Singh, que tenía la soga al cuello como telón de fondo. También le hable de la escena del fusilamiento de los patriotas, que había sido considerada violenta y había sido cancelada por el vice-canciller. Él nos escuchó y luego dijo: "Aquellas son violentas, por supuesto, pero sucedió en la historia. Por lo tanto, si usted tiene que retratarla háganla con honestidad. Sin embargo, no pongan el acento en la violencia. Hagan hincapié en el patriotismo y el amor por el país. "
A pesar de que estas palabras salieron de los labios divinos, nos quedamos encantados! Ambas escenas fueron incorporadas de nuevo a bordo ! . Y ya que Swami había afirmado lo mismo en la presencia del director y vice canciller, estaba bien por nuestra parte. Esto animó a los dos y le susurró suavemente al alcaide, "¡Señor! Sobre el himno nacional ... "
Ahora, el director se levantó sobre sus rodillas y dijo: "Swami los chicos están orando por la oportunidad de cantar el Himno Nacional en su presencia. Ellos solos se pondrán de pie Swami ... sólo ellos ... " Swami interrumpió, "¿Por qué? ¿No son los demás seres de la sala Kulwant, también seres humanos?. Ellos también tienen sentimientos. Que todas las personas se pongan de pie y canten juntos. Será bueno. "De alguna manera nos controlamos de saltar con un "Yippeee".
Esta fue la razón por la que estábamos buscando a Swami y lo había derramado sobre nosotros, incluso sin que 'nosotros' le preguntáramos!
La unidad y la flor del amor en todo el mundo
Me acordé de que el director había pedido a todos los actores que se reunieron en la sala de bhajan. Ya casi habia pasado media hora que la entrevista había comenzado. Así que le pregunté,
"Swami, seria agradable si usted habla con todos los demás chicos del drama también."
"Voy a hablar definitivamente ..." A pesar de que Swami dijo que me levanté, para salir y llamar a todos los niños. Swami inmediatamente me detuvo y dijo:"¡Ahora no! .. Dos niños no están allí...Voy a hablar con todos ellos en la tarde. "
Regresé a mi lugar y continuó con la interacción. Después de un tiempo, Swami indicó que ya era hora de que nos vayamos. Fuimos a El y oramos para obtener un buen carácter.
Él respondió: "No hay necesidad de hacer un buen carácter. Ustedes ya tienen un buen carácter. Asegúrese de que nada se eche a perder. El pasado es pasado. Olvídenlo. Sean buenos chicos. "
Con gran alivio, alegría y paz , salimos de la sala de entrevistas después de tomar padanamaskar. A pesar de que estábamos saliendo, nos dijo una vez más, que transmitieramos sus bendiciones a todos y que Él interactúara con todos los participantes.
La Divinidad conduce a la pureza, que conduce a la unidad.
Todos los estudiantes que eran parte del drama, nos estaban esperando a la salida para que le contáramos todo lo que había sucedido. En cuestión de una hora, Swami nos habían convertido en héroes. Pasamos el mensaje a todos, que todos los participantes se reúnan en el Salón de Kulwant , después de la sesión de la mañana. Swami llegó para la sesión de bhajans, recibió el Aarthi y se retiró por la mañana.
Poco después, todos nosotros, estabamos reunidos. La emoción y el asombro fue tal que incluso muchos miembros del 'equipo del drama del albergue se reunieron. Yo estaba en un estado de ánimo muy amplio y lleno de amor. En la jerga del albergue, esto se llama SIDA (adquisición de pronta he intensa devoción )! . ¿Qué otra cosa puedo sentir después de una sesión con el Señor!
Jagadish y yo estebamos en el centro del círculo, cuando todo el mundo se reunieron alrededor de nosotros. Nos dimos cuenta de que exactamente dos actores faltaban!. Ellos habían estado practicando en la noche y por eso no había sido capaces de levantarse por la mañana...
¡Ah! ...¿Qué significa hablar de Su omnisciencia y amor ?
Los dos compartimos todos los acontecimientos maravillosos en la sala de entrevistas. También transmitimos la promesa de Swami, que Él interactúaria con todos los chicos. El toque del Señor nos había hecho tan grande de corazón y de amor que dijimos:
"No hay nada como drama en el albergue, y el drama en el mandir. Es todo nuestro. Somos uno. Todo el mundo, con independencia del drama que presenten, es bienvenido para la sesión con Swami en la tarde. "
Con eso, las compuertas del amor se abrieron de repente. Los miembros principales del equipo de el albergue se acercaron y me dijeron: "Hemos hecho juegos tan hermosos. De qué sirven si no se les puede ofrecer a nuestro Señor. Swami tiene tanta expectativa de nosotros y está esperando con impaciencia por el drama. Vamos a ayudar todos para la obra en el Mandir . Ustedes ni siquiera se preocupen por la colocación de los adornos y decorados. Vamos a hacer el traslado y los cambios. Vamos a transportar a todos los equipos del albergue a el Mandir. "
Nosotros (el equipo de mandir-hasta ahora) hicimos una promesa de reciprocidad, "Vamos a ayudarlos en el drama del albergue.
Aunque hay muy poco tiempo, inmediatamente después del drama en el Mandir, nos sentaremos y mejoraremos la trama de la obra del albergue. Todos vamos a participar en él porque también es nuestra! "
Estábamos con lágrimas, incluso, cuando hemos escribo esto. En el Día de la Independencia, estábamos experimentando la verdadera libertad - la libertad del egoísmo, de la rivalidad, del odio, de la ira, una libertad que nos había liberado el amor expansivo.
Pudimos disfrutar de la hermandad de los hombres bajo la paternidad de Dios! Y todo esto había sucedido con el toque del Señor! .
No hubo equipos hoy, ya que era una clase unificada. Y qué alegría era estar unidos! . La forma en que trabajamos por las próximas tres horas, fue simplemente maravilloso. Todo cayó en su lugar. Todo el mundo tenía una sonrisa para compartir con los demás. Tanto amor había surgido.
¡Ah! Yo no necesitaba mas pruebas - Prem Eashwar Hai, Hai Eashwar Prem . (El amor es Dios y Dios es Amor) .
A las 15:00 hs de el día 15 de agosto de 2004, estábamos todos nosotros, reunidos en la sala de bhajan del Salón de Kulwant. Toda la clase estaba ahí y estábamos a punto de hacer historia, el primer programa del Día de la Independencia en la presencia divina, en el Salón Sai Kulwant.

Inspiration is GOD...
Swami often speaks of the five mothers that we have to revere - Dehamata(Physical Mother), Deshamata (Motherland), Bhoomata (Mother Earth), Gomata(the cow), Vedamata (the Vedas). In the interview that followed, we got a glimpse of the importance He placed on the motherland. It showed as His great love for the patriots who had sacrificed for the nation.
Swami started with words of praise for Subash Chandra Bose, the valiant freedom fighter who was instrumental in raising the INA - Indian National Army - which has today developed into a massive army. Swami revealed his daughter was a deeply devoted lady and she even sang good bhajans. We were just listening with open mouths and open hearts. He praised the humility and simplicity of Rajendra Prasad, the first president of independent India. He also spoke about the excellent poetry skills that Sarojini Naidu possessed. He was also full in praise for the trio of Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Bipin Chandra Pal - popularly called Lal-Bal-Pal.
Even as he told about the trio, He asked us whether they featured in the drama. The warden answered on our behalf and said,
“Swami only certain episodes have been included due to lack of time.”
Swami then told Jagdish who was by my side that their names at least must be mentioned. We promised Him that we would do that.
Then came the most poignant part of the interview. Swami suddenly turned to the warden and the vice-chancellor and said,
“People do not know the true meaning of Swaraj. They think that Swaraj means freedom from foreign rule Swaraj is actually Swaaraaj. Swaa and Raaj.”
I popped up like a jack-in-the-box and in great excitement blurted out,
“Swami, we are mentioning this in the drama!! We are stating that Swaa means SELF and Raaj is RULE. It is only when the SELF, ATMA or CONSCIENCE rules that we can have true freedom. True freedom is liberation from body attachment which comes from the knowledge that everyone are sparks of the Divine. And this can happen only if we follow our conscience.”
Even as I completed saying it, I felt that maybe I had spoken too much. But my excitement was due to the fact that this was the same inspiration which had been the genesis of the drama - the concept of true Swaraj.
... for it is only in the depths of silence that the voice of God is heard.
Swami was looking at me and He seemed to almost be drinking in every word I said. Then, He turned to the warden and said,
“See! The boys are very good. They quickly grasp whatever is said.”
This was a great revelation for me. Swami had never told anything to us. And yet, He said that we had grasped quickly whatever had been said. The concept of Swaraj had only been an inspired feeling in my heart. This proved that inspiration we feel in the heart is a way in which the Lord communicates with us. It is only a heart that has been touched by the Divine which can feel inspiration.
And to prime this inspiration, we need to enter the depths of silence.
Choose the latter statement for that is the Truth! :)
All problems solved in a trice...
As a corollary, ensure that there are things everyday which inspire you because that is the sure way of knowing that you are in touch with the Divine within. Inspiration is divine!
As if adding further weight to this, Swami also began to say,
“People also do not understand what Bharat is. They mistakenly think that Bharat means India...”
Again, I popped up in excitement,
“Swami, we are saying this too!! Bharat is a place where the human values are practiced and there is great love for the Lord. It is not a geographical entity but a value-based one. If one has true love for God and follows the five human values, one becomes a Bharatiya.”
Swami smiled in approval and seemed to enjoy my excitement. Again, an inspired idea had Divine approval because isn’t inspiration in itself divine?
As we were speaking about the drama, we told Swami that there was a scene of Bhagat Singh which had the noose as the backdrop. We also told Him about the shooting scene which had been deemed violent and had been cancelled by the vice-chancellor. He heard us and then said,
“Those are violent of course, but they happened in history. So, if you must portray them do so honestly. However, do not lay emphasis on the violence. Emphasize on the patriotism and love for the country.”
Even as these words dropped from the Divine lips, we were so thrilled! Both our jettisoned scenes were back on board now! And since Swami had stated the same in the presence of the warden and vice-chancellor too, there would be no convincing needed on our part. This encouraged us both and we gently whispered to the warden,
“Sir! About the national anthem...”
Now the warden rose on his knees and said,
“Swami the boys are praying for an opportunity to sing the National Anthem in Your presence. Only they will stand up Swami...only them...”
Swami interrupted,
“Why? Are not the other beings in Kulwant hall also humans? They too have feelings. Let all the people stand and sing together. It will be good.”
We somehow controlled ourselves from jumping up with a “Yippeee”. This was the reason we were seeking out Swami and He had bestowed it on us even without ‘us’ asking!
Unity and Love blossom in everyone
I remembered that the warden had asked for all the actors to be assembled in the bhajan hall. It was almost half an hour since the interview had started. So I asked,
“Swami, it will be nice if you speak to all the other boys of the drama too.”
“I will speak definitely...”
Even as Swami said that, I got up to go out and call all the boys. Swami immediately stopped me and said,
“Not now! Two boys are not there. I shall speak to all of them in the afternoon.”
I returned to my place and the interaction continued. After a while, Swami indicated that it was time for us to leave. We went to Him and prayed that we get a good character. He replied,
“There is no need to make your character good. You already have good character. Ensure that nothing spoils it. Past is past. Forget it. Be good boys.”
It was with great relief, joy and peace that we exited the interview room after takingpadanamaskar. Even as we were exiting, He told us again to convey HIs blessings to all and that He would interact with all the participants.
Divinity leads to purity which leads to unity
All the students who were part of the drama were waiting for us to come out and tell all that had happened. In a matter of an hour, Swami had turned us into heroes. We passed the message around that all participants should gather in the Kulwant Hall itself after the morning session. Swami arrived for the bhajan session, received Aarthi and retired for the morning. Soon after that, all of us gathered.
The thrill and amazement was such that even many members of the ‘hostel drama team’ gathered. I was in a very expansive and love-filled mood. In hostel lingo, this is called AIDS (Acquiring Intense Devotion Suddenly)! What else could I feel after such a session with the Lord! Jagadish and myself stood in the center of the circle as everyone gathered around us. We noticed that EXACTLY two actors were missing! They had been practicing late night and so had not been able to get up in the morning. Ah! What does one speak of His omniscience and Love?
We both shared all the wonderful happenings in the interview room. We also conveyed Swami’s promise that He would interact with all of the boys. The touch of the Lord had made us so large-hearted and loving that we said,
“There is nothing like hostel-drama and mandir-drama. It is all ours. We are one. Everyone, irrespective of the drama they are in, is welcome for the session with Swami in the afternoon.”
With that, the floodgates of Love opened up suddenly. The main members of the hostel team came up and said,
“We have made so many beautiful sets. Of what use are they if we cannot offer them to our Lord. Swami has so much expectation of us and is eagerly looking forward for the drama. We shall give all the sets and other things we have made for the mandir. You need not even worry about putting up the decorations and sets. We will do the moving and shifting. We will transport all the sets from hostel to mandir.”
We (the mandir-team till now) made a reciprocal promise,
“We will participate in the hostel drama. Though there is very little time, immediately after the drama in the mandir, we shall sit and improve the plot of the hostel drama. We shall all participate in it for it too is ours!”
We were in tears even as we heard this. On Independence Day, we were experiencing true freedom - freedom from egotism, from rivalry, from hatred, from anger; a freedom that had liberated us into expansive love. We were able to enjoy the brotherhood of man under the fatherhood of God! And all this had happened with the touch of the Lord!
There were no teams now - it was one unified class. And what joy it was to be united! The way we worked for the next three hours was simply marvellous. Everything fell in place. Everyone had smiles to share with each other. So much love had cropped up. Ah! I needed no further proof - Prem Eashwar Hai, Eashwar Prem Hai (Love is God and God is Love).
By 3pm on the 15th of August 2004, all of us assembled in the bhajan hall of Kulwant Hall. The whole class was here and we were on the verge of creating history - the first ever Independence Day programme in the Divine presence, in Kulwant Hall.
