Swami le preguntó a alguien, ¿Sabe usted cómo vivir una larga vida? ¿Sabes el secreto de una larga vida?

"Swami, yo no sé.
Swami dijo: "Es muy fácil."
¿Qué es, Swami?
Swami dijo: "Sólo dos cosas son necesarias".
¿Cuales son?

Bhagavan dijo: "Una es el sacrificio y la otra es el amor o prema. El sacrificio y el amor le dará una larga vida útil. Thyaga o el sacrificio es la medicina, mientras que el amor es la dieta. 

Si se toma el medicamento sin seguir la dieta, la enfermedad no se cura. Si seguimos la dieta sin tomar el medicamento, estamos más cerca de la tumba. A menos que tengamos la dieta y la medicina juntas, la enfermedad no puede curarse. Así que la medicina del sacrificio y la dieta del amor ", ambos son necesarias para vivir una vida larga.

Swami dio un ejemplo el de Rockefeller de Estados Unidos. Hoy en día, en los Estados Unidos esta la Fundación Rockefeller. Esta org. de caridad está trabajando en todo los Estados Unidos. ¿Cómo llegó a esto? Rockefeller era fabulosamente rico - muy, muy rico. No tenía tiempo para pensar en otra cosa mas que ganar dinero. Llegó a la etapa en la que se olvidó de la cantidad de dinero que tenía porque estaba muy ocupado.

Pero Rockefeller cayó enfermo a la edad de alrededor de 48. Y los médicos dijeron que, no iba a sobrevivir más de ocho o diez meses. Usted no va a vivir mucho tiempo mas.

¿Quién dijo esto? Sus médicos en los Estados Unidos se le dijeron esto. Los médicos en los EE.UU. son muy, muy responsables, tienen los mejores conocimientos, porque van a ser demandadas ante los tribunales de justicia si algo sale mal. Entonces tendrían que pagar dinero a lo largo de su vida, oh, sí,... tienen que ser muy responsables.

Así que los médicos le dijeron: "Usted no va a vivir mucho tiempo".

Así Rockefeller comenzó a distribuir su dinero a todo el mundo. En instituciones educativas, instituciones médicas y muchos otros en todo los Estados Unidos, con el resultado de que vivió durante casi 90 años. Una persona, que debería haber dejado este planeta tierra hace 40 años, tiene una extensión de su vida. ¿Cómo es eso posible? Debido a su sacrificio.

Lo que se requiere hoy en día para fundir nuestros corazones, que son duros como piedra. Hasta las piedras se marchitan y se convierten en arena, con la exposición continua a la lluvia y el calor. Del mismo modo, nuestros corazones de piedra se derriten, al ver la miseria de la gente, así que vamos a estar dispuestos a sacrificarnos.

Sai Ram - The Secret of a Long life.



Swami asked somebody,Do you know how to live a long life? Do you know the secret of a long life?

"Swami, I dont know.
Swami said " Its very easy. "
What is it, Swami?
Swami said " Only two things are needed".
What are they?

Bhagawan said, " One is sacrifice and the other is love or prema. Sacrifice and love will give you long life. Thyaga or sacrifice is the medicine, while love is the diet. If we take the medicine without following the diet, the disease will never be cured. If we follow the diet without taking the medicine, we are nearer to the grave. Unless we have the diet and the medicine together, the disease cannot be cured. So the medicine of sacrifice and the diet of love ” both are necessary to live a long life.

Swami gave an example from the United States Rockefeller. Today, in the United States there is the Rockefeller Foundation. This charity is working all over the United States. How did this come about? Rockefeller was fabulously rich -- very, very rich. He had no time to think of anything other than making money. He reached the stage where he forgot the amount of money he had because he was so busy.

But Rockefeller fell sick at the age of about 48. And the doctors said, “Look here, you are not going to survive for more than eight or ten months. You are not going to live much longer.

Who said this? His doctors in the United States spoke this. Doctors in the U.S. are very, very responsible, to the best of my knowledge, because they will be sued in the courts of law if anything goes wrong. Then they would have to pay money throughout their lifetime, oh yes -- so they have to be very responsible.

So those doctors said," You won't live very long".

So Rockefeller started distributing his money to everybody. Educational institutions, medical institutions and many others all over the United States, with the result that he lived for almost 90 years. A person, who should have left this planet earth 40 years earlier, got an extension of his life. How is that possible? Because of his sacrifice.

What is required today is for our hearts, which are hard like stone, to melt. Even stones wither and become ordinary sand with continuous exposure to rain and heat. Similarly, our hearts of stone should melt, seeing people's misery, so we will be prepared to sacrifice.

¿Quién está cerca de Dios? 

El que sigue los mandamientos de Dios y manifiesta atributos divinos. El secreto es tener plena fe en Dios, entonces uno es un ser humano verdadero. 

La palabra para el hombre es "manaci" (ma-na-ci). El hombre es la encarnación del amor. Si invertimos las sílabas en manaci, se convierte en "ci-na-ma". 

El hombre de hoy es un hombre de cine, es artificial y carece de compasión. Pero si sigue los mandamientos de Dios, todo lo demás vendrá por añadidura . 

A pesar de que tiene el oro (Dios), con el que se puede realizar cualquier tipo de joyería (recibir la Gracia), el hombre reza: "Quiero dicha, gracia y amor." 

Pero todas estas son expresiones ignorantes. El objetivo correcto en la oración: "Dios, te quiero." Todo es nada sin Dios. Todo lo material en el mundo es realmente nada. 

Escucha y experimenta esta verdad,  es la verdadera felicidad y el amor.

Sai Ram - Who is near to God?



Who is near God? The one who follows God's commands and manifests Divine attributes. The secret is to have full faith in God; then one is a true human. The word for man is "manaci" (ma-na-ci). Man is the embodiment of Love. If we reverse the syllables in manaci, it becomes "ci- na- ma." Today's man is a cinema man; he is artificial and lacks compassion. But if he would follow the commands of God, everything else would follow. Though you have gold (God), from which you can make any type of jewellery (receive any Grace), you pray, "I want Bliss, Grace and Love." But all of these are ignorant utterances. The correct goal is in the prayer, "God, I want You." Everything is nothing without God. Everything material in the world is really
nothing. Listening and experiencing this Truth is true Happiness and Love.

Sai Ram - Seva y servicio el 26 de abril 2011 .


El siguiente artículo fue escrito por Shri.Bishu Prusty, de los Antiguos Alumnos del ISSSES y que trabaja ahora en Radio Sai Global Harmony en Prashanti Nilayam.


Durante el dolor y la pena del 26 de abril de 2011, los devotos de Sai mostraban a todos el verdadero valor del Seva y el servicio, en el que todos y cada uno ayudaban unos a otros, 

Mensaje Divino de Bhagavan sobre Seva y servicio, se ve en todas partes:

...... Salí del Salon Sai Kulwant  a las calles de Puttaparthi. Las escenas entrañables de cuidar y ver las instancias de la devoción, de que he sido testigo ese día, se mantiene perennes en mi memoria. Era como si el amor circulara por las calles de esta aldea santa. Todo el mundo estaba afuera para ayudar a la otra.





Si, había un seva repartiendo galletas a todo el mundo de pie en esa cola interminable, y otro que entregaba suero de mantequilla en vasos de plástico a cualquier persona que tenía sed. El tercero era un mahometano de mediana edad con el característico gorro blanco, que junto con su dulce hija, con mucho gusto servia arroz con especias a todos los peregrinos de pie en las filas.





De repente, un hombre dinámico se reunió conmigo y con amor me invitó a ir con él, quería mostrarme algo. Una vez que llegué a su casa, vi cómo se había creado una zona de cocina grande al lado de su casa, donde la comida se preparaba de forma continua. Me conmovió. Tomé algunas fotos y le agradecí por su amor.





A medida que continuaba y caminaba me di cuenta de un joven jadeando por el cansancio , estaba enfermo,  lo saque de la cola, y organice un lugar donde pudiera descansar, y luego le prometí que estaría de regreso pronto con algunos medicamentos.


En realidad fuimos mucho más allá del templo de Hanuman, poco más allá del área donde habitualmente están los mercados  de verduras los sábados. En búsqueda de una tienda médica y corrí todo el trayecto hasta la puerta de Gopuram como Apolo, excepto Pharma ninguna otra tienda estaba abierta ese día. Corrí hacia él después de haber adquirido las pastillas. Afortunadamente, todavía estaba allí en el mismo lugar y estaba encantado de recibir las pastillas. Me retire.

La cola no parecía tener fin. La gente estaba triste, abatida, cansada e inquieta, también la visita del primer ministro había agregado mas problemas. Las filas había dejado de moverse por seguridad por un tiempo. Muchos me preguntaban: "¿Podemos tener el darshan? Hemos venido desde tan lejos ... "," ¿Cuándo van a cerrar Mandir? ¿Puedo ver a Swami hoy? "Y así sucesivamente. Suave y dulcemente me asegure que cada uno de ellos pudiera ver a su amado Swami.





Entonces me di cuenta de que algunos miembros de muy alto nivel de Sri Sathya Sai Trust de Kerala, tenían un momento difícil en la cola. Eran personas a las que he estado viendo durante años en la galería del Mandir. Sentí pena por ellos. "Vengan conmigo por favor", les dije a ellos y los acompañe al Mandir a través de algunos atajos. De alguna manera en todas partes había un obstáculo, pero la policía eran muy cooperativa conmigo. Me tomó media hora para que lleguen dentro de las instalaciones por la puerta de Ganesh, pero valió la pena. Yo estaba satisfecho.


Volví a las calles y rincones de Puttaparthi. Y entonces vi una escena que estará siempre fresca en mi memoria. Había un grupo de jóvenes Sai de Andhra que habían establecido una cocina temporal y  servían arroz frito y el arroz con cuajada, y un  niño gritando a toda voz, con toda la energía de sus cuerdas vocales, diciendo a la gente que tienen prasadam de Swami. Su pasión por ver que nadie pasara hambre a causa de dolor o falta de disponibilidad o cualquier otra razón que me movió al lugar .





En cada carril , casa , hogar, tienda , había una corriente abrumadora de camaradería y amabilidad. A pesar de que mi corazón se hundía con el dolor cada vez que pensaba en Swami, me consolaba diciendo: "Por lo menos estoy haciendo lo que a Swami le hubiera gustado que hiciera - ayudar a alguien con necesidades y documentar esta saga conmovedora en Puttaparthi. La única manera de mitigar mi dolor era con un poco es por el servicio ... Eso era todo en su vida y es lo que en mi vida también debe ser en adelante ... "


Y al día siguiente, cuando las ceremonias finales del funeral se realizaron, yo lloraba y lloraba copiosamente.


Pero cada vez que las lágrimas se detenían me acordaba de las varitas de incienso. Incluso ahora, cada vez que tengo dolor,  las finas fragancias exudada por el incienso me inspiran. La vida, dicen, vale la pena vivirla cuando se vive para los demás, al igual que mi Swami hizo, sonriendo, año tras año durante más de ocho décadas. 

Puede brillar como la chispa de su amor, y nuestras vidas también se convertirán en sublimes y serenas, fragantes y vibrantes.

The Below article was written by Shri.Bishu Prusty, Alumni of SSSIHL and who works now in Radio Sai Global Harmony in Prasanthi Nilayam.


During the Sorrow and Grief on April 26th'2011, Sai Devotees showed everyone the True Value of Seva and Service where each and everyone helped each other, Bhagawan's Divine Message of Seva and Service was seen everywhere:


......I walked out of Sai Kulwant Hall into the streets of Puttaparthi.The endearing scenes of caring and moving instances of devotion that I witnessed that day remains evergreen in memory. It was as if love was virtually flowing in the streets of this holy hamlet. Everyone was out to help the other.





If there was a shopkeeper doling out cookies to everyone standing in that never-ending serpentine queue, there was another generously handing out butter milk in plastic tumblers to anyone who was thirsty. The third was a middle-aged Mohammedan with the characteristic white cap on, who along with his sweet daughter was gladly serving spiced rice to every pilgrim standing in the rows.





Suddenly a dynamic man met me and lovingly invited me to go along with him; he wanted to show me something. Once I reached his house I saw how he had created a big cooking area beside his home where food was being prepared continuously. I was moved. I took a few pictures and thanked him for his love.





As I continued to walk I noticed a youngster panting for breadth; I took him out of the queue, arranged a place where he could rest and then promised him that I will be back soon with some medicines.


I had actually walked far beyond the hanuman temple, little further the area where the usual Saturday vegetable market happens. My hunt for a medical shop brought me all the way almost to the Gopuram gate as except Appollo Pharma no other shop was open that day. I ran back to him having procured the tablets. Fortunately he was still there in the same location and was delighted to receive the pills. I moved on.





The queue did not seem to have an end. People were sad, dejected, tired and restless too. The PM's visit had only added to their woes; the lines had stopped moving for quiet a while. Many asked me, “Can we have darshan? We have come from so far...”, “When are they going to close Mandir? Can I see Swami today?” and so on. Softly and sweetly I assured them that each one was definitely going to see their beloved Swami.





Then I noticed some very senior members of the Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Kerala having a tough time in the queue. They were people whom I have been seeing for years in Mandir verandah. I felt sorry for them. “Come with me please,” I said to them and escorted them to Mandir through some short-cuts. Somehow everywhere there was an obstacle the police were very cooperative with me. It took half an hour to drop them inside Mandir premises through Ganesh gate but it was worth it. I was satisfied.


I returned to the streets and corners of Puttaparthi. And then I saw one scene which is ever fresh in my memory. There were a group of Sai Youth from Andhra who had set up a temporary kitchen and were serving fried rice and curd rice, and there was this boy shouting at the top of his voice, with the entire energy of his vocal chords, pleading people to have Swami's prasadam. His passion to see that no one went hungry because of grief or unavailability or any other reason moved me to bits.





In every lane and bylane, home and hearth, shop and godown, there was this overpowering stream of camaraderie and kindness. Even though my heart sank with sorrow whenever I thought of Swami, I consoled myself saying, “At least I am doing what Swami would have liked me to do – helping someone in need and documenting this touching saga of Puttaparthi. The only way I can mitigate my sorrow to a little extent atleast is by service... That is what His life was all about and that is what my life should also be about...”


And the next day when the final ceremonies of His body were done I cried and cried copiously.


But whenever the tears stopped I remembered the incense sticks. Even now whenever grief grips me those thin fragrance-exuding martyrs inspire me. Life, they say, is worth living when it is lived for others just like my Swami did, smilingly year after year for more than eight decades. We can then shine as sparks of His love and our lives too would become sublime and serene, fragrant and vibrant.

Prashanti hoy - La sesión de despedida de las celebraciones Buda Poornima. Por la tarde.



Hoy en día, en la noche del martes, Sri Ashok Sakhrani de bienvenida para la sesión de clausura del programa de dos días en agradecimiento a los organizadores y dirigentes por su apoyo en la culminación exitosa del programa especial con el Seva Naryana celebrada ayer. A continuación, se presentó al orador de la tarde, el Dr. Pereira.

El Dr. Pereira se centró en las similitudes de las enseñanzas de Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba y Sri Sakyamuni Buda. Hizo hincapié en la inmensa compasión mostrada por los avatares con muchos ejemplos. La charla fue seguida por un drama sobre el gran terremoto y tsunami del este de Japón. Fotos de Japón se pasaron en el telón de fondo, incluso con actores delante de la pantalla. La parodia contenía varios incidentes de amor y de ayuda mutua, de amor compasivo, amor a través de los Vedas, el amor de fusión  y el amor del Dios del Agua. Era de hecho una presentación en movimiento.

Sri V. Srinivasan, el presidente  de las Organizaciones Sri Sathya Sai para toda la India, felicitó a los participantes incluso al convertir un desastre, en una oportunidad de Seva. Dijo sobre la forma en que fue humillado por el gran trabajo de los voluntarios japoneses. Hablando con convicción, que recordó a todos la garantía de Bhagavan de que Él está con nosotros durante nuestra alegría y  tristezas, pero sobre todo, Él está con nosotros cuando estamos haciendo servicio desinteresado.

Con las bendiciones de Bhagaván todos los peregrinos  dieron muestras especiales de amor. Prasadam fue distribuido a la asamblea. El Arati se ofreció a las 18:30hrs.

Prasanthi today - Valedictory Session of Buddha Poornima Celebrations. Evening.



Today, Tuesday evening, Sri Ashok Sakhrani welcoming everyone for the concluding session of the two day programme thanked the organisers and office bearers for their support in the successful completion of the programme especially for the Naryana Seva held yesterday. He then introduced the speaker for the evening, Dr. Periera.

Dr. Periera focused on the similarities of the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and Sri Sakyamuni Buddha. He stressed on the immense compassion shown by the Avatars with many examples. The talk was followed by a drama on the great eastern Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. Visuals from Japan were played in the backdrop even as actors performed in front of the screen. The skit contained various incidents of Love of mutual help, Compassionate Love, Love through Vedas, Love melting closed minds and Water God’s Love. It was indeed a moving presentation.

Sri V. Srinivasan, the all India president of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisations congratulated the participants on even converting a disaster into an opportunity for Seva. He said how he was humbled by the great work of the Japanese Volunteers. Speaking with conviction, he reminded everyone of Bhagawan’s assurance that He is with us during our joy and sorrow but above all He is with us when we are doing selfless service.

With Bhagawan’s blessings all the pilgrims were given special tokens of Love. Prasadam was distributed to the assembly. Arati was offered at 1830hrs.
