Pregunta: Para un devoto firme de Sathya Sai Baba, ¿cuál es la diferencia si reconoce o no reconoce esta manifestación sutil a través del Hermano Madhusudan?

Swami: No importa. No importa de qué vaso ha de beber, ya sea un vaso de plata, un vaso de oro o un vaso de vidrio. El vaso no es importante. La sed se apagará sólo si bebes el agua. Si usted come de un plato de oro, una plato de plata, o una plato de acero, no importa - es solo importante, que usted coma la comida que le sirven. Tengo miles de manos, miles de ojos y miles de piernas, y de una manera u otra, vendré a ti.

Lo que es importante para Mí es que me reconozcas en todos aquellos con los que te encuentres, y sobre todo, me reconozcas en vuestro propio Ser. Sólo entonces tu sed se apagará y tu hambre estará satisfecha. 

Yo y yo hemos estado hablando a través de las muchas voces, a través de los siglos. Soy Yo cuya sabiduría se ha escrito en todos los textos de todas las religiones del mundo. Yo mismo Soy adorado en todas las mezquitas, templos, iglesias y otros lugares. No importa dónde vayas; Lo que importa es que te des cuenta quien soy. No te preocupes por los vasos o los platos; No te preocupes por los libros o edificios; Entiende lo que está en el centro de todo esto - que es verdaderamente Yo. Entiende eso y alcanzarás todo. Eso es lo que estoy enseñando. No me limite a un Avatar (encarnación divina) que ha venido y se ha ido, porque estoy mucho más allá - y estoy tanto en ti como en cualquier otra persona. Reconoce esa Divinidad, esa verdad, y te liberarás. Ese es mi deseo​.

Question: For a steadfast devotee of Sathya Sai Baba, what is the difference if he recognises or does not recognise this subtle manifestation through Brother Madhusudan?

Swami: It does not matter. It makes no difference which vessel you drink from, whether a silver tumbler, gold tumbler or glass tumbler. The tumbler is not important. You thirst will be quenched only if you drink the water. Whether you eat from a gold plate, a silver plate or a steel plate does not matter – it is only important that you eat the food that is served. I have thousands of hands, thousands of eyes and thousands of legs, and in some way or another, I will come to you.

What is important to Me is that you recognise Me in all those whom you come across – and above all, you recognise Me in your own Self. Only then will your thirst be quenched and your hunger satisfied. I and I alone, have been speaking through the many voices over the ages. It is Me whose wisdom has been written down in all the texts of all the religions of the worlds. It is Myself who is worshipped in all mosques, temples, churches and other places. It does not matter where you go; what matters is that you realise what it is. Do not bother about the tumblers or the plates; do not bother about the books or buildings; understand what is at the core of it all – that it is truly Me. Understand that and you shall attain everything. That is what I am teaching. Do not limit Me to an Avatar (divine incarnation) who has come and gone, for I am far beyond – and I am as much in you as in anyone else. Recognise that Divinity, that truth, and it will liberate you. That is My wish.

En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en el Kuala Lumpur, Malasia, el 31 de enero de 2017, un devoto preguntó cómo mantener a los jóvenes motivados, para que continúen participando en las actividades.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: Amados Swami, los jóvenes llegan al Centro Sai, cuando son jóvenes. Después de generar experiencia y exposición, una vez que comienzan a trabajar, lentamente abandonan los centros. ¿Cómo motivarlos a seguir en el Movimiento Sai y participar en las actividades?

Swami: El mismo hecho que hizo que los jóvenes vinieran aquí y les enseñara buenas cualidades, fue como sembrar semillas de amor, devoción y servicio en su corazón. Cuando el ambiente es correcto, la planta crecerá bien, dando flores y frutos. Cuando el ambiente cambia, el árbol sufre, sus hojas se secan y caen y las flores no florecen, porque no se cuida bien.

El tipo de compañías que uno tiene, define qué tipo de persona él o ella puede llegar a ser. Cuando estés en buena compañía, tendrán buenos pensamientos. En un buen ambiente, todas las buenas cualidades florecen. Cuando pierdes las buenas compañías, eventualmente todas estas cosas también desaparecen.

Un pedazo de hierro que permanece en contacto con un imán conserva su poder magnético. Si la misma pieza de hierro está expuesta a la humedad,  se cubre con polvo y óxido.

Los jóvenes deben mantenerse comprometidos a través de buena compañía. A medida que crecen, tienen que ganarse la vida. Eso no es algo por lo que puedan ser culpados. Necesitan trabajar, ganar un buen nombre, desarrollar habilidades y ganar algo de dinero para mantenerse a sí mismos y a su familia. No hay absolutamente nada malo en ello. Si las semillas que has sembrado a edad temprana, arraigan y crecen y se vuelvan fuertes, entonces dondequiera que crezcan, podrán conservarse. Sin embargo, si las raíces no son lo suficientemente profundas, entonces la planta no soportará el cambio de ambiente.

Debe enfatizar a los jóvenes, a una edad temprana la importancia de mantener buenas compañías, manteniendo contacto con personas buenas. Una vez que salen, es como una tormenta; Nada puede oponerse a esa tormenta de mundanalidad. Hay miles de tipos de personas en el mundo, pero usted es de un tipo diferente. Es muy difícil para usted permanecer como usted es, pero si usted sigue volviendo al  satsang, y su batería se sigue recargando, entonces usted puede seguir haciendo lo bueno que tiene que hacer.

A veces, la juventud no puede venir, pero usted no debe dejarlo en eso; Usted debe ir dondequiera que estén los jóvenes. Al igual que un agricultor, que ha trabajado duro durante años, ¿puede dejar que el cultivo se marchite por falta de un poco más de atención? Usted debe ir tras ellos donde quiera que estén, conocerlos, hablar con ellos y volverlos a traer por el buen camino.

Puede que no suceda todos los días; Pueden estar ocupados, pero, al menos una vez al mes, una vez cada quince días, una vez a la semana, deben asistir al satsang. Si no continúan regresando, entonces el trabajo que haya hecho con ellos durante su infancia, será desperdiciado. Es su deber proteger el árbol que ha sembrado, hasta que se vuelva lo suficientemente fuerte, sus raíces lo suficientemente profundas, para que puedan soportar todas las estaciones. Por lo tanto, su esfuerzo no se detiene entrenandolos aquí para dejarlos ir; Su esfuerzo sigue estando con ellos dondequiera que estén. Este en contacto con ellos. Inspirandolos y motivándolos para que vuelvan, una y otra vez, a recargarse.

The kind of company one keeps defines what kind person he or she can become.

In a satsang held in the divine presence at the Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 31 January, 2017, a devotee asked how to keep the youth motivated so they continue to take part in the activities.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: Beloved Swami, youth come to the Sai Centre when they are young. After having the experience and exposure, once they start working, they slowly drop out. How do we motivate them to continue to remain in the Sai Movement and take part in the activities?

Swami: The very fact that youth came here and you taught them good qualities was like sowing the seeds of love, devotion and service in their heart. When the environment is right, the plant will grow well, bearing flowers and fruits. When the environment changes, the tree suffers, its leaves dry up and fall away and flowers do not blossom, because it is not being looked after very well.

The kind of company one keeps defines what kind person he or she can become. When you are in good company, good thoughts will come. In a good environment, all the good qualities blossom. When you lose good company, eventually all these things also fade away.

A piece of iron that remains in touch with a magnet retains its magnetic power. If the same piece of iron is exposed to moisture, it gets covered with dust and rust.

The youth need to be kept engaged through good company. As they grow up, they have to earn a livelihood. That is not something for which they can be blamed. They need to work, earn a good name, develop skills and earn some money to support themselves and their family. There is absolutely nothing wrong in it. If the seeds that you have sown in their young age take root and they grow and become strong, then wherever they grow, they will be able to retain themselves. However, if the roots are not deep enough, then the plant will not withstand the change of environment.

You must emphasise to the youth at a young age the importance of keeping good company, keeping in touch with good people. Once they go out, it is like a storm; nothing can stand against that storm of worldliness. There are thousands of kinds of people in the world, but you are of a different kind. It is very difficult for you to remain as you are, but if you keep coming back to satsang, and your battery keeps getting recharged, then you can go on doing what good you have to do.

Sometimes, the youth may not come, but you should not leave it at that; you must go wherever the youth are. Just like a farmer who has worked hard for years, can you let the crop wither away for want of a little more care? You should go after them wherever they are, know them, talk to them and bring them back into the good fold.

It may not happen every day; they may be busy but, at least once in a month, once a fortnight, once a week ‐ as it is convenient, they should attend the satsang. If they do not keep coming back, then whatever work you have done with them through their childhood will be wasted. It is your duty to protect the tree you have sown, until it becomes strong enough, its roots deep enough that it can withstand all the seasons. So, your effort does not stop with them getting trained here and leaving the premises; your effort continues to be with them wherever they are. Be in touch with them. Inspire them and motivate them to come back, again and again, to recharge themselves.
