Los estudiantes del Instituto de Enseñanza Superior Sri Sathya Sai, presentó una Burra Katha basada en la historia del Mahabharata, este sábado por la noche en el Sancta Sanctorum en Prashanti Nilayam. Burra Katha (describe historias y acontecimientos de las epopeyas como el Ramayan o Mahabharata etc) es una forma de arte popular tradicional popular en Andhra Pradesh.






La presentación de esta noche fue sobre el tema "Sambhavami Yuge Yuge". La presentación consiste, a una vista de pájaro, de toda la gama de la guerra del Mahabarata, un trío que narro la historia, cautivó a la audiencia durante la presentación durante cincuenta minutos, que se intercalaron con canciones y versos. Comenzando con el Señor Krishna visitando a Hastinapur para romper la paz con los Kauravas a coronar ha Dharmaraja después de la victoria de los Pandavas, fue narrado de manera sucinta. 


La presentación terminó con Bhagavan cuando dice, "Mi Vida es Mi Mensaje." Después continuaron los bhajans y el Mangala Arati , cuando el proceso llegó a su fin.


Un nutrido grupo de más de 2000 devotos, han llegado desde el distrito de Andhra Pradesh de la Mehboobnagar en un Yatra Parthi (peregrinación). El grupo espera llevar a cabo un programa cultural en el Salón Sai Kulwant mañana.

Students from Sri Sathya Sai Institute Of Higher Learning presented a Burra Katha based on the Mahabharatha story this Saturday evening at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam. Burra Katha is a traditional folk art form popular in Andhra Pradesh.


This evening’s presentation was on the theme “Sambhavami Yuge Yuge”. Presenting a bird’s eye view of the entire gamut of Mahabharata war, the trio narrating the story enthralled the audience during the fifty minute presentation that was interspersed with songs and verses. Beginning with Lord Krishna visit to Hastinapur to break peace with the Kauravas to the crowning of Dharmaraja after the thumping victory of Pandavas was narrated succinctly.


The presentation ended with Bhagawan’s saying, “My Life is My Message.” After Bhajans and Mangala Arati, the proceedings came to a close.


A large group of over 2000 devotees have come from the Andhra Pradesh district of Mehboobnagar on a Parthi Yatra. The group is expected to stage a cultural programme in the Sai Kulwant Hall tomorrow.

Una vez hace mucho tiempo atrás, una profesora de la escuela australiana, estaba en Prashanti Nilayam desde hacia bastante tiempo y había decidido que no iba a irse a casa sin el permiso de Swami.   También, antes de llegar a la India, había firmado un contrato para su primer año como maestra en  la escuela de Australia.

En el momento de su partida se acercó a Swami, pero no le dio permiso para salir, pero ella quería, con firmeza pedir permiso de Swami. Finalmente después de alrededor de tres semanas de plazo, recibió el permiso de Swami para partir .. y salió de Prashanti Nilayam para el hogar.

Al llegar a Sydney corrió a su escuela y al despacho de su director, y con entusiasmo contó su historia y sobre sus experiencias con Swami.

El Maestro asombrado dijo a la mujer aturdida,  "No sé de lo que está hablando, usted ha estado aquí el tiempo, todo el tiempo.

Once a long time back, An Australian school teacher was at Prasanthi Nilayam for quite some time and had decided that she would not leave for home without taking Swami's permission. She had also before arriving in India signed a contract for her first year as a school teacher in Australia.

As the time of her departure approached Swami did not give her permission to leave, But she steadfastly wanted to take Swami's Permission. Finally about Three weeks into the term, she received permission from Swami to leave.. and left Prasanthi Nilayam for home.

One reaching Sydney she rushed to her school and to her principal's office and excitedly told her story and about her experiences with Swami, The astounded Teacher told the stunned woman " I don't know what you are talking about, You've been here the whole time, all the time.

Todo el mundo busca beneficios, pero no está dispuesto a hacer cualquier sacrificio.

¿Cuál es el sacrificio que se debe hacer para Dios?.

En primer lugar, eliminar sus malas cualidades. E incorporar las buenas cualidades. 

No se queden en su punto de vista estrecho. Cultiven una visión amplia. No tienes que regalar toda su riqueza y  posesiones. Lo que se necesita es un sentido de compasión ante la visión de un ser que sufre. Cuando el corazón se derrite, se convierte en sacrificio. 

Usted no va a llevar su riqueza con usted cuando salga de este mundo. 

Incluso mientras tenga vida sigue dando ayuda a quienes lo necesitan tanto como puedas.

When the heart melts, that itself becomes sacrifice - Swami.



Everyone seeks benefits, but is not prepared to make any sacrifice. What is the sacrifice that is to be made to God? First of all, your bad qualities. Acquire good qualities. Shed your narrow outlook. Cultivate a broad vision. You are not expected to give away all your wealth and possessions. What is required is a sense of compassion at the sight of a suffering being. When the heart melts, that itself becomes sacrifice. You will not carry your wealth with you when you leave the world. Even while life remains, render help to those who need as much as you can.

Con el recuerdo y la compañía de los santos, se adquiere la riqueza de Dios, y junto a este ejercicio viene una transformación interior. La transformación de Valmiki, de ser un ladrón a un sabio iluminado, es uno de los episodios más fascinantes de esa transformación espiritual trascendental. Sri Krishna Chaitanya conocido como Caitanya Mahaprabhu, un conocido y venerado santo, que vivió hace más de cinco siglos atrás, toco la vida de muchos en su estancia, con la difusión del Bhakti Yoga (yoga devocional)...


Durante uno de sus discursos Divinos, entregado en el Auditorio de la Universidad de Bhagavan, había narrado una preciosa historia de esa transformación, con la participación de Sri Krishna Chaitanya y un ladrón ...


Krishna Chaitanya estaba una vez caminando, bailando y cantando en éxtasis, ajeno a todo, estaba inmerso en la contemplación del Señor. Entró en Navadweep, donde los líderes de la ciudad se unieron a él en su bhajan con igualdad  de éxtasis. Un ladrón también se unió a este grupo. Él había sido un ladrón toda su vida y era un mentiroso. Se incorporó a la danza y pensó que ya que había muchos hombres ricos en el grupo,  perdidos por completo en su canto y baile,  podría fácilmente revisar sus bolsillos. Si bien esta era su intención, lo que ocurrió fue totalmente diferente.


En el momento en que se unió al grupo de devotos, se olvidó y comenzó a cantar y bailar con el mismo fervor que los demás. Después de que los otros se habían ido, él se sentó aparte por un rato, viendo a Chaitanya. Un pequeño grupo de niños estaban escuchando el discurso de Chaitanya. El ladrón corrió hacia Chaitanya y dijo: "¡Swami!... Usted está dando consejos a tantas personas. Por favor, deme algún nombre sagrado para mí ", respondió Caitanya: " Dígame en primer lugar, quién es usted y cuál es su historia de vida. Luego le daré un mensaje. "El hombre confesó" ¡Swami! ...Yo soy un ladrón. He estado llevando la vida de un ladrón y un mentiroso. Mi nombre es Rama. La gente me llama como Rama del ladrón ". Dijo Caitanya:" ¡Qué lástima!... Yo, sin embargo, le daré un mensaje. ¿Qué me darías como Guru Dakshina (ofrenda al maestro).  "El ladrón respondió:". Le voy a dar una participación en el botín que obtengo al robar ", dijo Caitanya:" No tengo ninguna necesidad de tal cosa. Dame como tu ofrenda la promesa de que tu no cometerás mas un robo en el futuro. "Él respondió:" ¡Swami! . Estoy dispuesto a ofrecer cualquier cosa, pero no estoy de acuerdo en renunciar a robar . "Caitanya dijo entonces:" Si esto es así, voy a difundir el nombre sagrado para ti, con una condición. Sea cual sea el lugar que pueda elegir para el robo, usted debe recitar el sagrado nombre 108 veces antes de entrar en el lugar. "


Chaitanya señaló al ladrón cerca de él. El corazón del ladrón se había suavizado considerablemente después de escuchar las palabras de Chaitanya. "Sambhashanam Sankatanasanam" ("la conversación con una persona santa elimina la angustia."). El ladrón se deshace del miedo... Se acercó a Chaitanya, "Sparsanam Karma Vimochanam" (El toque de una persona santa libera a uno de los efectos de acciones pasadas). Chaitanya sostuvo la cabeza del ladrón y le susurró al oído tres veces el mantra: ". Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaaya".  El mero hecho de ver (darshanam) ha Chaitanya destruyó los pecados cometidos por el ladrón. Sus palabras disiparon las preocupaciones  del ladrón. El toque del santo lo liberó de las ataduras de las acciones pasadas.


El ladrón volvió con un corazón purificado. Al salir, vio a un gran número de personas que iban a Chaitanya. Muchas personas ricas se encontraban entre ellos. El ladrón pensó que era una buena oportunidad, para él , de entrar en sus casas. El hombre más rico de la aldea había llevado a su esposa e hijos para cumplir con Caitanya, salía de su casa sin vigilancia. El ladrón irrumpió en la casa y entró en la caja fuerte, en la que todos los objetos de valor se guardaban. Él vio joyas de todo tipo. Él estaba resuelto a no tocar ninguno de los objetos de valor hasta que hubiese terminado la recitación del mantra que le dio Caitanya. Pero, antes de que terminara el japa mantra  , el dueño de la casa y otros llegaron allí.


La señora de la casa, que había ido con todas sus joyas, quería volver a colocarlas en la caja fuerte. Ella vio a un extraño en la sala, dedicado a la meditación profunda. Ella pensó que debía ser algún gran sabio que había entrado en la casa en su ausencia, y estaba meditando en Dios. Llamó a su marido. El desconocido siguió inmerso en la meditación. Él no parecía  un ladrón. Ellos pensaron que debía ser una persona santa que había honrado a su casa por su visita. Todos ellos comenzaron a ofrecer adoración a él y se postraron ante él. Ellos pensaban que seguidores del santo Chaitanya,  otras personas santas, también estaban visitando a su pueblo.


Mientras tanto, cuando termino la recitación del mantra, el ladrón abrió los ojos y se encontró, para su sorpresa, un gran grupo de personas de pie delante de él, reverenciandolo. El dueño de la casa le preguntó: "¡Oh señor! ¿Quién eres tú? ¿De dónde has venido?. Hemos sido santificados por su visita. Por favor, tome una comida en nuestra casa y redima nuestras vidas, háganos este honor ".


Un gran cambio se genero en el ladrón. Y pensó: "Si la mera recitación del nombre del Señor, me puede traer tanto honor y respeto, aunque yo había venido aquí solo para robar, ¿cuántas más cosas puede haber en el almacén de Dios para mí, si realmente recito el nombre del Señor por su propio amor? Que posición alta puedo esperar  por la gracia del Señor. ".
En ese mismo momento decidió renunciar a robar. Se postró ante el dueño de la casa y su esposa y le dijo: "Madre, Déjame que te cuente la verdad. Yo soy un ladrón. Déjame ir al bosque. Voy a pasar el resto de mis días contemplando a Dios, y a llevar la vida de un verdadero asceta. "

Escuchando sus palabras verdaderas, los ancianos presentes se sintieron profundamente conmovidos y dispuestos ha llevarlo en un palanquín en procesión alrededor del pueblo y dejarlo en un bosque tan deseado por él. 
Más tarde, el hombre fue a Chaitanya y reverentemente le pidió que lo bendiga para que pueda convertirse en un verdadero sabio, digno de respeto de la gente.

In the company of the holy ones, one acquires the wealth of God-Remembrance and along with this exercise comes an inner transformation. Valmiki’s transformation from being a dacoit to sage of enlightenment is one of the most enchanting episodes of such epochal spiritual transformation. Sri Krishna Chaitanya a.k.a. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, a renowned, revered holy being lived over five centuries ago had touched many such lives during his sojourn, spreading Bhakti Yoga…


During one of His Divine Discourses delivered at the University Auditorium, Bhagawan had narrated a beautiful story of such a transformation, involving Sri Krishna Chaitanya and a thief…


Krishna Chaitanya was once moving about, dancing and singing ecstatically, oblivious to everything, being immersed in the contemplation of the Lord. He entered Navadweep, where the leaders of the town joined him in his bhajan with equal ecstasy. A thief also joined this group. He had been a thief all his life and was an arrant liar. He joined in their dance and thought that as there were many rich men in the group, who were wholly lost in their singing and dancing, he could easily pick their pockets. While this was his intention, what happened was entirely different.


The moment he joined the devout group, he forgot himself and began to sing and dance with the same fervour as the others. After the others had left, he sat apart for a while, watching Chaitanya. A small group of children were listening to Chaitanya’s discourse. The thief ran towards Chaitanya and said: “Swami! You are giving advice to so many persons. Please impart some holy name to me.” Chaitanya replied: “Tell me first of all who you are and what your life story is. I shall then give you a message.” The man confessed “Swami! I am a thief. I have been leading the life of a thief and a liar. My name is Rama, People call me as Rama the Thief.” Chaitanya said: “What a pity! I shall, however, give you a message. What will you give me as guru dakshina (offering to the teacher)?” The thief replied: “I shall give you a share in the booty I get from stealing.” Chaitanya said: “I have no need of any such thing. Give me as your offering the promise that you will not commit theft in future.” He replied: “Swami! I am prepared to offer you anything, but I cannot agree to give up stealing.” Chaitanya then said: “If that is so, I shall impart the sacred name to you on one condition. Whichever place you may choose for thieving, you must recite the sacred name 108 times before you break into the place.”


Chaitanya then drew the thief near to him. The thief’s heart had considerably softened after listening to Chaitanya’s words. “Sambhashanam Sankatanasanam” (“conversation with a holy person removes distress.”) The thief was getting rid of fear. He neared Chaitanya, “Sparsanam Karma Vimochanam” (The touch of a holy person frees one from the effects of past deeds.) Chaitanya held the thief’s head and whispered in his ear three times the mantra: “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaaya.” The mere sight (darshanam) of Chaitanya destroyed the sins committed by the thief. His words dispelled the worry felt by the thief. The touch of the saint freed him from the bonds of past deeds.


The thief went back with a purified heart. As he was leaving, he saw large numbers of people going to Chaitanya. Many rich persons were amongst them. The thief thought that this was a good opportunity for him to break into their houses. The richest man in the village had taken his wife and children to meet Chaitanya, leaving his house unguarded. The thief broke into the house and entered the safe room in which all valuables were kept. He saw gems of all kinds. He was resolved not to touch any of the valuables till he had completed recitation of the mantra given to him by Chaitanya. But, before he completed the mantra japa, the master of the house and others arrived there.


The lady of the house, who had gone with all her jewels, wanted to replace them in the safe. She saw a stranger in the room engaged in deep meditation. She thought it must be some great sage who had come into the house in their absence and was meditating on God. She called her husband. The stranger continued to be immersed in meditation. He did not appear like a thief. They thought he must be some saintly person who had honoured their home by his visit. All of them began to offer worship to him and prostrate before him. They thought that in the wake of saint Chaitanya other saintly persons were also visiting their village.


Meanwhile, on the completion of the recitation of the mantra, the thief opened his eyes and found to his astonishment a large group of people standing reverently before him. The master of the house asked him: “Oh sir! Who are you? Where from have you come? We have been sanctified by your visit. Please take your food in our home and redeem our lives by doing us this honour.”


A great change came over the thief. He thought: “If the mere recitation of the Lord’s name can bring me so much honour and respect, although I had come here only to steal, how many greater things may be in store for me if I genuinely recite the Lord’s name for its own sake? I may hope for the highest position by the grace of the Lord. “That very moment he decided to give up stealing. He prostrated before the master of the house and his wife and said: “Mother, Let me tell you the truth. I am a thief. Let me go to a forest. I shall spend the rest of my days contemplating on God and leading the life of a true ascetic.”


Listening to his words of truth, the elders present were deeply moved and they arranged to carry him in a palanquin in procession round the village and to leave him in a forest as desired by him. Later, the man went to Chaitanya and reverently requested him to bless him so that he may become a real sage worthy of respect from the people.

El significado espiritual de la serie 9 y 8.

Baba dijo que el número 9 tiene un significado espiritual. Se refiere a la conciencia eterna, absoluta, inafectada, inmutable, y sin forma en el hombre. Esto es porque nunca los múltiplos de 9 disminuyen ni aumentan. 

Ejemplo: 

9 x 9 = 81 = 8 + 1 = 9 

9 X 10 = 90 = 9 + 0 = 9 

9 X 11 = 99 = 9 + 9 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9 

9 X 12 = 108 = 1 + 0 + 8 = 9 (por lo que hay 108 cuentas en el rosario y 108 nombres de Dios) 

y así sucesivamente .......

Dijo que nada mundano, o ilusorio, o maya, está representado por la figura 8. Esto es debido a que los múltiplos de 8 disminuyen siempre. 

Ejemplo:

8 X 8 = 64 = 6 + 4 = 10 

y así sucesivamente ......

The spiritual significance of the number 9 and 8.

Baba said that the number 9 has a spiritual significance. It denotes the eternal unaffected, changeless and formless absolute consciousness in man. This is because the multiples of 9 never diminish nor increase.

Example:

Memorias Divina - Swami visita al Santuario Somnath - 17 de junio de 1970.


A continuación se presentan algunos escritos memorables de la visita divina e inolvidable de Swami al Templo Somnath el 17 de junio de 1970.


Hay muchas cosas fascinantes que Swami hizo durante esa histórica visita al Santuario Somnath. Below are some Memorable writings on Swami's Divine and Unforgettable Visit to the Somnath Temple on 17th June 1970.


There are many more fascinating things that Swami did during that historic visit to the Somnath Shrine. Once He entered the sanctum sanctorum of that holy shrine which has been the focal point of the faiths of millions for millennia, Swami directed that a plate be brought. And then He lovingly spread the fingers of His right hand and shook it over the plate... 108 silver Bilva leaves and 108 golden flowers fell from His hand in a clinking shower.


The fortunate devotees standing nearby were stunned. They then reverentially touched these mysterious manifestations. And after this Baba poured these leaves of silver and flowers of gold on the 3 feet high lingam. Thus revitalising this holiest of shrines.


This was not all. The next minute Baba's hand circled in the air and what a sight it was! A ball of brilliant light was now sitting on His palm. Prof. Kasturi who was a witness to this glorious event immediately recalled the declaration that Baba had made earlier in the day: “I shall show you the genuine Someswara lingam today!”


So that was it, the genuine Someswara lingam which according to the puranas “is a swayam-bhu or a self-originated lingam of great prowess, as bright as the Sun, the size of an egg of a hen which is situated underground.”


For centuries this Ball of Light had gone underground safe from depredation and desecration. Baba now gave this to the chief priest and said, “Let it be in the full light of the day hereafter! Let pious eyes admire its brilliance and imprint its glory on their hearts. There is no need any more to keep it away. The Avatar has come to remove all fear.


Also Prof. Kasturi narrates in his biography of Swami about this Wonderful Visit of Swami to Somnath :


“Then with a wave of that divine hand and behold!


A ball of brilliant light manifested in his palm. I was at that time reciting within myself the verses in praise of the 12 ‘Lingas of Light’ which every Hindu is exhorted to remember reverentially.


The very first in the list is Sowrashtra Somnatha. The Somnatha Linga is the only one of the 12 that is adored as Jyothirmayam, imbued with the splendour of light.


And, Swami had the Linga of light right now in his grasp. What a great moment, I wondered.


Then I remembered Swami's announcement ‘I shall show you the genuine Somnath today.’


The oval ball of light in Swami's hand that day was the authentic Somesvara. He had resolved to bring it up from its underground niche, kept away for many centuries from depredation and desecration.The lingam was nestling for thousands of years under the observed lingam in the shrine.This information was given to us by Swami as well as by the priests and trustees.Swami then waved his hand again and created a silver stand on which it could be placed. He gave it to the Chief Priest, saying,


“Let it be in the full light of day hereafter. Let pious eyes admire its brilliance and imprint its glory on their hearts. There is no need any more to keep it away. The Avatar has come to remove all fear.”


Swami raised the flag over the central shrine in a symbolic gesture of the triumphant emergence of Somesvara. Then to the cheer of “Jai Bhagawan” from thousands of lips, he left Somnath at 2.00 in the afternoon.

Yo les invoco a irradiar el Bhakti (devoción) en su interior, de modo que su poder invisible, envuelva a todos los que entran en su órbita. Even after almost 33 years, this Wonderful Message important to each and everyone of us today. The Wonderful Message of Swami talks about His Divine Mission and the part that each and everyone has to play in it. Let us all read, learn and ponder over this Wonderful Message by Swami. 

Swami says: 

" Your mission has begun. Those are My words to you, My devotees. Each of you has a unique and valuable part to play in this lifetime. Only those whom I have called can serve Me. 

My Mission has now reached that point in time when each of you now has work to do. This planet has a purpose in the great galaxy in which it it held. That purpose is now unfolding before our eyes. I call upon you to radiate the Bhakti (devotion) within you so that its unseen power will envelop all who come into your orbit. To successfully perform your part, always remain centered upon Me. 

Allow yourself to impart that purity of heart within you towards all human beings and all living creatures and do not reach for the fruits of your work. 

This part of My Mission is performed in absolute silence. You are My instruments from whom My love will pour. Be always aware that the moment you let your ego descend upon you My work ceases. When you have overcome your negative un-mindfulness, you will again become My Source. 

The multiplication of My Love will be felt throughout the world. I have prepared you for this work over many incarnations. I have drawn you to Me. I have made great steps in My Mission over these past incarnations. My work is ceaseless and so your work, too, is without end. 

Know that I am within and without you. There is no difference. Rid yourselves of the petty matters forevermore. You are now in Me and I am now in Thee. There is no difference. My Darshan (spiritual blessings) will pour forth from Me to and through you. You may be unaware of this constant action. Be ever pure of heart and soul and mankind in your lifetime will benefit from your unique qualities. 

Others, too, will join Me in this Mission when I draw them to Me. The time is approaching when all humanity will live in harmony. That time will be here sooner than one expects. Before it arrives be prepared for whatever is needed to reveal to every living thing the true purpose of existence. It is not what anyone alive can imagine. It is not something that one can try to aspire to. It is beyond all comprehension. I can say that its beauty is magnificent beyond all dreams. And as each of you perform your silent work, I embrace you to My Heart and henceforth your souls shall be lifted up and your eyes will reveal My Presence within. 

This I say to all My Devotees from the Lord's Mountain Top where all the Universes become one. Be about My work, My beloved Bhaktas. Your breath will carry the scent of the blossoms of Heaven. Your example will be that of Angels. Your joy will be My Joy.

When young men and women go out to countries overseas, their aged parents are worried about their reactions to the attractions of the strange culture. The father or mother write to their children, pleading with them not to give up the family habits of worship, prayer, food and drink. The children may have tears in their eyes with fond remembrance of their parents, but that is all. They then yield to the temptations and slide away. The spirit with which the letter is written is not honoured in action. So too, many worship the sacred books that have noble thoughts present in them. They shower flowers and offer prayers, but when it comes to practising even a bit of what is written in them, it seems an impossible task for most! You must live in love, and practice it, every single day without fail.
