Hay muchas cosas fascinantes que Swami hizo durante esa histórica visita al Santuario Somnath. Una vez cuando entró en el sanctasanctórum de ese santuario, que ha sido el punto focal de la fe de millones de personas durante miles de años, Swami ordenó que trajeran una placa, fuente o plato. Y entonces Él amorosamente extendió los dedos de su mano derecha y los sacudió por encima del plato ... 108 hojas Bilva y 108 flores de plata y oro cayeron de su mano en una lluvia tintineante.
Los devotos afortunados que estaban cerca se quedaron atónitos. A continuación, reverentemente tocaron estas manifestaciones misteriosas. Y después de esto Baba vertió estas hojas de plata y flores de oro, desde 3 metros de altura sobre el lingam. Así, revitalizo el más sagrado de los santuarios.
Esto no fue todo. La mano del Baba al minuto siguiente dio un circulo en el aire y un espectáculo...! . Una bola de luz brillante, estaba posada en su palma.
El Prof. Kasturi quien fue testigo de este acontecimiento glorioso, de inmediato recordó la declaración que Baba había hecho anteriormente en el día: "Te voy a mostrar el verdadero lingam Someswara hoy!".
Así que era eso, el verdadero lingam Someswara que de acuerdo con los Puranas "es un Swayam-BHU o un auto-originado lingam de gran poder, tan brillante como el Sol, del tamaño de un huevo de una gallina que se encuentra bajo tierra."
Durante siglos, esta bola de luz había pasado a la clandestinidad a salvo de la depredación y la profanación. Baba se lo dio el sumo sacerdote y le dijo: "Que este a la vista de todos en adelante! . Que los ojos piadosos admiren su brillantez y el logo de su gloria en sus corazones. No es necesario mantenerlo alejado. El Avatar ha venido a eliminar todo el miedo.
También el Prof. Kasturi narra en su biografía de Swami acerca de esta maravillosa visita de Swami a Somnath:
"Luego, con un movimiento de su mano divina, y he aquí!
Una bola de luz brillante se manifiesto en la palma de su mano. Yo estaba en ese momento dentro de mí mismo recitando los versos en alabanza a los 12 'Lingam de la Luz', que todos los hindúes exhorta a recordar con reverencia.
El primero en la lista es el Sowrashtra Somnatha. El Linga Somnatha es el único de los 12 que es adorado como Jyothirmayam, imbuido con el esplendor de la luz.
Y, Swami tenía el Linga de la luz en estos momentos en sus manos. ¡Qué gran momento, me pregunté.

There are many more fascinating things that Swami did during that historic visit to the Somnath Shrine. Once He entered the sanctum sanctorum of that holy shrine which has been the focal point of the faiths of millions for millennia, Swami directed that a plate be brought. And then He lovingly spread the fingers of His right hand and shook it over the plate... 108 silver Bilva leaves and 108 golden flowers fell from His hand in a clinking shower.
The fortunate devotees standing nearby were stunned. They then reverentially touched these mysterious manifestations. And after this Baba poured these leaves of silver and flowers of gold on the 3 feet high lingam. Thus revitalising this holiest of shrines.
This was not all. The next minute Baba's hand circled in the air and what a sight it was! A ball of brilliant light was now sitting on His palm. Prof. Kasturi who was a witness to this glorious event immediately recalled the declaration that Baba had made earlier in the day: “I shall show you the genuine Someswara lingam today!”
So that was it, the genuine Someswara lingam which according to the puranas “is a swayam-bhu or a self-originated lingam of great prowess, as bright as the Sun, the size of an egg of a hen which is situated underground.”
For centuries this Ball of Light had gone underground safe from depredation and desecration. Baba now gave this to the chief priest and said, “Let it be in the full light of the day hereafter! Let pious eyes admire its brilliance and imprint its glory on their hearts. There is no need any more to keep it away. The Avatar has come to remove all fear.
Also Prof. Kasturi narrates in his biography of Swami about this Wonderful Visit of Swami to Somnath :
“Then with a wave of that divine hand and behold!
A ball of brilliant light manifested in his palm. I was at that time reciting within myself the verses in praise of the 12 ‘Lingas of Light’ which every Hindu is exhorted to remember reverentially.
The very first in the list is Sowrashtra Somnatha. The Somnatha Linga is the only one of the 12 that is adored as Jyothirmayam, imbued with the splendour of light.
And, Swami had the Linga of light right now in his grasp. What a great moment, I wondered.
Then I remembered Swami's announcement ‘I shall show you the genuine Somnath today.’
The oval ball of light in Swami's hand that day was the authentic Somesvara. He had resolved to bring it up from its underground niche, kept away for many centuries from depredation and desecration.The lingam was nestling for thousands of years under the observed lingam in the shrine.This information was given to us by Swami as well as by the priests and trustees.Swami then waved his hand again and created a silver stand on which it could be placed. He gave it to the Chief Priest, saying,
“Let it be in the full light of day hereafter. Let pious eyes admire its brilliance and imprint its glory on their hearts. There is no need any more to keep it away. The Avatar has come to remove all fear.”
Swami raised the flag over the central shrine in a symbolic gesture of the triumphant emergence of Somesvara. Then to the cheer of “Jai Bhagawan” from thousands of lips, he left Somnath at 2.00 in the afternoon.
