Con reverencia a los pies de loto de nuestro amado Bhagavan, les deseamos a todos los hermanos y hermanas, muy feliz "Navarathri" (nueve noches divinas).

Durante Navaratri, invocamos el aspecto energético de Dios en la forma de la madre universal, comúnmente conocida como " Durga ", que literalmente significa el que remueve las miserias de la vida. Ella es también conocida como "Devi" (diosa) o "Shakti" (energía o potencia). A decir verdad, nuestro culto a Shakti re-confirma la teoría científica de que la energía es imperecedera. No puede crearse ni destruirse. Siempre está ahí.

Kalasha STHAPANA:

El primer día de "Navaratri" en Prashanti Nilayam comenzó con cánticos védicos y también "Kalasa Stapana" dentro del Mandir de Bhajan ...

Kalasa Stapana o Sthapana Ghat es el inicio de Pooja Durga durante Durga Navratri . Kalash sthapana se realiza en el día siguiente a Mahalaya.Amavasya o el primer día (Padyami / Prathami) durante Durga Puja.

GRAMA SEVA 2012, COMIENZA:

El proyecto más prestigioso iniciado por Swami, cuando decidió entregar sus "bendiciones" puerta por puerta, comenzó hoy a las 7:30 hs de la mañana, cuando todos los estudiantes de diferentes campus de Swami circunvalaron el sanctorium Sanctum antes de viajar a las aldeas para iniciar el Seava. El Grama Seva iniciado por Swami ha sido un "punto de referencia" para todos nosotros, para enseñarnos el verdadero significado de seva o servicio al progimo. Esto también le dio una hermosa oportunidad para que los estudiantes y las personas ricas, tuviesen la experiencia de contactarse en directo con la pobreza en los pueblos. Esto sin duda ayudará a los estudiantes a planificar su carrera con el seva como prioridad. La Grama Seva diseñado por Swami también ha inspirado a millones de devotos de Sai e incluso los no devotos, para iniciar este tipo de proyectos en sus localidades, que están siendo muy apreciados por los respectivos gobiernos locales.

Este año el Grama Seva estaría cubriendo 153 aldeas de los mandals, Puttaparthi, Kothacheruvu y Bukkapatnam. Un estimado de un millón de paquetes de alimentos, se suministran en un lapso de 9 días junto con Dhothis y Saris para cada casa de la aldea beneficiada, independientemente de la situación financiera del receptor.

Incluso hoy en día, hay muchas solicitudes procedentes de varios pueblos cercanos, para añadir sus aldeas bajo el Grama Seva. Todo el concepto de grama seva de Bhagavan, es enseñarnos cómo podemos hacer que nuestros hermanos y hermanas sean mas felices al darles cualquier cosa pequeña que nos podamos permitir.

Para todos los bienaventurados que viven en y los alrededor de Puttaparthi, es una garan fortuna tener la bendición de recibir prasadam directamente de la Divinidad. Cada casa en los alrededores de Puttaparthi aguarda el Prasadam de Swami que se entregará en la puerta. Incluso aquellos que han emigrado para trabajar a ciudades como Bangalore, Mumbai, etc, vuelven a su casa durante esta época del año para recibir el Prasadam de Swami. Para los campesinos pobres e inocentes este "regalo" de Swami no tiene "precio", y lo atesoraran por toda la vida .. El nuevas ropas que se entregan, justo antes del Festival de Dasara, es sólo la guinda del pastel.

Un grupo de 23 jóvenes del Reino Unido también están aquí para participar en el Grama Seva. Los jóvenes encabezados por Sri.Ajith Poppat, que fue llamado con razón como marioneta por el titiritero DIVINO, nuestro amado Señor, son los únicos "no estudiantes", bendecidos por Swami a participar en el Grama Seva. Para estos jóvenes del Reino Unido, es un verdadero "choque cultural y económico" para tener el conocimiento de primera mano, de las condiciones de los pueblos indígenas. De los 23 jóvenes, 13 de ellos están aquí por primera vez para participar en el grama seva 2012.

NOCHE DEL PROGRAMA:

Canto vedico por devotos europeos:

Los cantos vedicos de esta noche fueron liderados por los devotos de cinco países europeos, Croacia, Checoslovaquia, Hungría, Serbia y Eslovenia, y fue agradable ver a los devotos extranjeros recitar los vedas con una dicción perfecta y al unísono. Sin duda que Swami estara muy feliz viendo a los devotos cantar mas o amenos 40 vedas, en un idioma que es completamente desconocido para ellos. El canto de los Vedas fue seguido por una charla muy hermosa e inspiradora por Mr.Puppet del Reino Unido.

Muchos de nosotros sabría cuántas veces la suerte de hablar en la presencia divina en el pasado y lo escuchaba hablar estaba alucinante. Su estilo mezcla de palabras en inglés e hindi en su charla es muy singular. Mr.Puppet habló de callarte, por ser rápido y estar listo para dejar de fumar. Él en su estilo maravilloso, pidió a los devotos a estar siempre dispuestos a seguir el mandato de Swami incluso si llegara a perder la propia posición. Dijo que, si ha llegado el momento de renunciar a su cargo en sus samithis o en la organización, lo hará, por lo que la generación más joven tendría la oportunidad. También dijo que no hacemos más que limitarse a Swami palabras de agradecimiento. Citando un ejemplo de una pareja de recién casados, donde el marido comienza alabando la mujer con los alfabetos ingleses como ABC, increíble, hermoso, encantadora y así sucesivamente y cuando la mujer le pregunta lo que "yo" se refiere a las respuestas esposo: "Yo "es sólo una broma.
Nos dirigimos a Swami como Prema Swaroopa, etc Amar a Dios, pero todos vienen de la boca y no con el corazón.

En una nota personal, Mr.Puppet que está enfermo de cáncer, dijo el año pasado cuando vino con los chicos de Grama Seva, pensó, que él no iba a volver este año. Incluso renunció a los tratamientos de quimioterapia que tenia que hacer para una pronta recuperación, sino que prefirió dejarlo en las manos seguras del Doctor Divino nuestro amado Señor. Había tantos ojos humedecido mientras él estaba narrando este episodio de su mala salud y la forma en que está llevando con éxito el dolor insoportable cantando y llevando a Swami en su corazón .. Dijo que es pura gracia de Swami que está

e de pie en el sanctorium de Prashanti Nilayam, a pesar de haber sido advertido por los médicos de no viajar a la India .. Como los procedimientos de la noche entera se mostraron en directo en la gran pantalla cada vez Mr.Puppet se quebró los devotos igualmente se emocionaban. Muy rara vez este fenómeno ocurre cuando la audiencia derramo lágrimas sintiendo el amor que el disertante tiene por Swami.
Terminó sus 30 minutos, ofreciendo salutaciones a Swami y haciendo tres ka JAI.
Los bhajans siguieron y el Mangala Arathi se ofreció a Swami en torno a las 6:10 pm..

Mañana (17 de octubre de 2012), tras el segundo día de Grama Seva, el salon Sai Kulwanth será testigo de una nueva presentación de la Hermana Sitar Roopa Panesar del Reino Unido, quien extendió su estadía en Prashanti. Como todos recordamos ella realizó un recital el 11 de octubre y esta nueva presentación sería un regalo especial a los estudiantes de todas las escuelas que no pudieron estar presentes el 11/10. Su presentación será seguida por el grupo de bhajans del Reino Unido.

remover of miseries of life. She is also referred to as "Devi" (goddess) or "Shakti" (energy or power). Truly speaking, our worship of Shakti re-

confirms the scientific theory that energy is imperishable. It cannot be created or destroyed. It is always there.

KALASHA STHAPANA:

The first day of "Navarathri" in Prashanthi Nilayam started with Veda chantings and also "Kalasa Stapana" inside the Bhajan Mandir... Kalasa Stapana
or Ghat Sthapana is the initiation of Durga Pooja during Durga Navratri
. Kalash sthapana is performed on the next day to Mahalaya

Amavasya or on First day (Padyami / Prathami) during Durga puja.

GRAMA SEVA 2012 STARTS:

The most prestigious project started by Swami, when He decided to deliver the "blessings" right to the door step, started today at 7:30 am when all the students of Swami's different campuses circumambulated the Sanctum sanctorium before leaving for the villages. The Grama Seva started by Swami has been a "bench mark" for all of us to teach us the real meaning of seva. This also gave a beautiful opportunity to the students and those stinkingly rich people, to have the first hand experience of poverty in the villages and stop complaining about any short comings at home. This would definitely help the students to plan their career with seva as priority. The Grama Seva designed by Swami has also inspired millions of Sai devotees and even non-devotees to start such projects in their localities, which are being highly appreciated by the respective local governments.

This year's Grama Seva would be covering 153 villages of Puttaparthi, Kothacheruvu and Bukkapatnam mandals. An estimated half a million food packets would be supplied in a span of 9 days along with Dhothi, Saree for each house of the beneficiary village irrespective of the financial position of the receiver. Even to this day, there are so many requests coming from various villages to add their villages under the Grama Seva. The whole concept of Bhagawan's grama seva is to teach us how we can make our fellow brothers and sisters happy by giving any little thing that we can afford.

For all the blessed ones living in and around Puttaparthi, it is sheer great fortune that we are blessed to receive prasadam directly from the Divine. Every house hold in and around Puttaparthi eagerly wait for Swami's Prasadam to be delivered at the door step. Even those that have migrated for work to cities like Bangalore, Mumbai etc, come home during this time of the year to receive the Prasadam from Swami. For the poor and innocent villagers this "gift" from Swami is a "priceless" one and they treasure it for life..The new pair of clothes coming just before Dasara festival is just icing on the cake.

A group of 23 youths from the UK are also here to take part in Grama seva. The UK youths headed by Sri.Ajith Poppat, who was rightly called as PUPPET by the DIVINE PUPPETEER , our beloved Lord, are the only "non-student" community who are blessed by Swami to take part in Grama seva. For these youths from the UK it is a real "cultural and economic shock" to have the first hand insight of conditions of Indian villages. Out of the 23 Youths, 13 of them are here for the first time to take part in grama seva

EVENING PROGRAMME:

VEDA CHANTING BY EUROPEAN DEVOTEES:

This evening's veda chanting was lead by the devotees of five European countries, Croatia, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia and it was nice to see the devotees from overseas chant vedas with perfect diction and unison. It would have definitely made Swami very happy watching those 40 or so devotees chanting vedas in a language which is completely unknown to them. The Veda chanting was later followed by a beautiful and highly inspiring talk by Mr.Puppet from the UK.

Many of us would know how many times He was blessed to speak in the divine presence in the past and listening to him talk was just mind blowing. His style of blending English and Hindi words in his talk is very unique. Mr.Puppet spoke on Be Quiet, Be Quick and Be ready to Quit. He in his wonderful style, asked the devotees to be ever ready to follow Swami's command even if it were to lose one's own position. He said, if the time has come to quit your position in your samithis or in the organisation, you do so, so that younger generation would get the chance. He also said we are merely confining Swami to words of appreciation. Quoting an example of a newly married couple, where the husband starts praising the wife using the English Alphabets like you are ABC, Amazing, Beautiful, Charming and so on and when the wife asks what "I" stands for the husband replies, "I" is just kidding.
We address Swami as Prema Swaroopa, Loving God etc but all come from the mouth and not from the heart.

On a personal note, Mr.Puppet who is ailing from Cancer, said last year when he came with the boys for Grama Seva, he thought, he would not come back this year. He even gave up the chemo therapies that needed to be done for a speedy recovery but instead preferred to leave it in the safe hands of the Divine Doctor our beloved Lord. There were so many dampened eyes while he was narrating this episode of his ill-health and how he is successfully bearing the excruciating pain chanting and carrying Swami in his heart.. He said it is sheer Swami's grace that he is standing in the sanctum sanctorium of Prashanthi Nilayam in spite of being warned by the doctors not to travel to India.. As the whole evening's proceedings were shown live on the big screen every time Mr.Puppet broke down, the devotees became equally emotional. Very rarely such phenomenon happens where the audience shed tears feeling the love the speaker has on Swami.
He ended his 30 minutes talk with offering pranams to Swami and letting us do three JAI kars.
The bhajans followed and Mangala Arathi was offered to Swami around 6:10 pm.

Tomorrow (October 17, 2012), after the second day of Grama Seva, the Sai Kulwanth hall will witness yet another Sitar presentation by Sister Roopa Panesar of the UK who extended her stay in Prashanthi. As we all remember she performed on October 11th and it would be a treat especially to the students of all campuses who missed her performance on the 11th Ocotber. Her performance will be followed by bhajans from the UK group.
