El estudio del Sagrado Corán y mantener sus enseñanzas ...
Al encontrar que los musulmanes de Puttaparthi teníamos que caminar unos cuatro kilómetros hasta Bukkapatnam, cada vez que teníamos que rezar en una mezquita, ya que no teníamos un lugar de culto en nuestro propio pueblo, en 1978, Bhagavan construyo una mezquita en la aldea para ayudar a los musulmanes a hacer culto en Puttaparthi mismo. La mezquita fue terminada y consagrada a tiempo para el festival de Ramzan en agosto de 1978.
Para santificar y bendecir la nueva construcción de la nueva mezquita, Bhagaván hizo una visita a la Mezquita, en el día del Festival, y entrego un discurso divino. Un conjunto grande de devotos indios y extranjeros y también los pobladores de todas las religiones se hicieron presentes para compartir la alegría de los musulmanes.
Sri G. Fakhruddin, el coordinador del comité para la mezquita de la aldea, rindió también homenaje de bienvenida, y dijo que la luz y el amor que brillaba en, y a través de los fundadores de todas las religiones, estaban físicamente presentes en Sathya Sai Baba en la actualidad. Expresó su gratitud eterna a Bhagavan, por mostrar a los musulmanes el Camino a Dios y por volver a imponer su creencia en los aspectos universales de todas las religiones.
Bhagavan entonces concedido su discurso en telugu que fue entendido por todos los musulmanes allí presentes.
El mes de Ramzan en el Sagrado Corán, fue revelado al profeta Mahoma. Fue una comunicación divina, una Vani Bhagavad que llegar a él a través de las ondas o tarangas de vibraciones Divinas. Los Vedas también se dieron a conocer de la misma manera por Dios a los Rishis.
La Biblia, el Avesta, y las otras escrituras grandes de otras religiones, también tuvieron la inspiración divina similar. Dado que el Corán se originó a partir de Dios, no puede ser cambiado o modificado, para adaptarse y 'modificar' las condiciones. Todos ellos son verdades eternas.
El Corán contiene exposiciones de los cinco principios vitales o pancha-prana de la vida humana: la misericordia, la verdad, el sacrificio, el amor y la tolerancia.
Estos principios, realmente básicos para la buena vida, se hace hincapié en todos los textos religiosos de la humanidad. Si uno asimila las verdades declaradas en el Corán, pueden vivir en concordia completa con todos los demás. Ninguna religión alaba la violencia o la falsedad.
El ayuno se estableció durante la Ramzan, con el fin de hacer que la gente experimente los beneficios del control de los sentidos, con el fin de limpiar el espíritu y las pasiones de los hombres, para que puedan ser usados para acercarse a Dios. El ayuno es también conocido como Upavas; Upa significa 'cerca' y vas significa 'vida'. Por lo tanto, Upavas significa, vivir muy cerca de Dios.
El ayuno Ramzan tiene por objeto permitir a los musulmanes, dejar de lado todos los deseos sensoriales y pasar un mes entero en la santa presencia de Dios. Como el hombre recibe la brisa fresca alentadora, cuando se acerca el acondicionador de aire o ventilador, así también cuando el hombre se acerca a Dios, sus dolores desaparecerán y sus buenos aspectos florecerán por su gracia. Deben cultivar durante este Mes de Dios, todas las cualidades divinas, caridad, unidad, amor, servicio, desprendimiento, tolerancia.
Y practicarlas, no sólo en casa, sino ademas difundir esa alegría fuera de su hogar también.
El ayuno implica no sólo abstenerse de comer y beber de la salida del sol a la puesta de sol, sino practicar el dominio de la disciplina, muy difícil, de renunciar a la violencia, la mentira, la ira, la envidia y la difamación de los demás.
Uno puede tener que afrontar el ridículo y la persecución, obstrucciones y problemas cuando se decide a llevar una vida buena y santa.
El Profeta Muhammad fue perseguido y por lo tanto tuvo que salir de La Meca a Medina. Jesús fue crucificado por los mansos y los mudos.
Como la voluntad del Señor asume la forma de un árbol-el Kalpavriksha con el fin de ser una fuente perenne de sustento y dulzura a los demás, las personas grandes han sufrido voluntariamente, por el bien de sus creencias benéficas.
A pesar de los obstáculos e impedimentos, el Profeta Muhammad no renuncio a su convicción, Él declaró que sólo había un Dios y que su nombre era Dios. Él mandó a sus discípulos a servir a la humanidad, y tratar a los demás como semejantes, hijos del mismo Dios.
Estudien el regalo de Dios al hombre, es decir, el Corán, y mantenga sus enseñanzas como válidas para todos los tiempos, porque son universales y básicas.

Upon finding that the Muslims of Puttaparthi had to trek about four miles to Bukkapatnam every time they had to pray in a mosque, since they did not have a place of worship in their own village, in 1978, Bhagawan built a mosque in the village to help the Muslims to worship in Puttaparthi itself. The mosque was completed and consecrated in time for the Ramzan festival in August 1978.
Sanctifying the newly constructed Mosque, blessing the Muslims Bhagawan paid a visit to the Mosque, on the Id Festival day, finally delivering a Divine Discourse. A large assemblage of Indian and Foreign devotees and also villagers of all faiths were present to share in the joy of the Muslims.
Sri G. Fakhruddin, the Convener of the village Mosque committee while paying welcome homage said that the Light and Love that shone in and through the founders of all religions were physically present in Sathya Sai Baba today. He expressed eternal gratitude to Bhagawan for showing the Muslims the Pathway to God and for re-enforcing their belief in the universal aspects of all religions.
Bhagawan then granted His discourse in Telugu which was understood by all the Muslims present there.
Ramzan is the month when the Holy Qur’an was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. It was a Divine communication, a Bhagavad Vani, reaching him through waves or tarangas of Divine vibrations. The Vedas too were revealed in the same manner by God to the Rishis. The Bible, the Avesta, and the other great scriptures of other religions also had similar Divine inspiration as the reason for their validity. Since the Qur’an originated from God, it cannot be changed or modified, to suit ‘changed’ conditions. They are all eternal verities. The Qur’an contains expositions of the five vital principles or pancha-prana of human life: mercy, truth, sacrifice, love and tolerance. These principles, really basic to the good life are emphasised in all religious texts of humanity. If one assimilates the truths declared in the Qur’an, they can live in full concord with all others. No religion praises violence or falsehood.
Fasting was laid down during the Ramzan, in order to make people experience the benefits of sense control and in order to cleanse the spirit and the passions of man, so that he may be rendered fit to approach God. Fasting is also referred to as Upavas; Upa means ‘near’ and vas means `living’. So, Upavas means, living very near God. The Ramzan fast is intended to enable Muslims to set aside all sensory desires and to spend an entire month in the Holy Presence of God. As man gets the cool heartening breeze when he approaches the air conditioner, or fan, so too when man approaches God, his sorrows will vanish and he will have his good aspects flourish by His Grace. Cultivate during this Month of God all the Godly qualities, charity, unity, love, service, detachment, tolerance. And, see that you practise them, not only at home, but, spread the joy outside your household also.
Fasting entails not merely abstaining from food and drink from sun rise to sun set, but, the mastery of the more difficult discipline of giving up violence, falsehood, anger, envy, and the maligning of others. One may have to face ridicule and persecution, obstructions and troubles when he decides to lead the good, holy life. Prophet Muhammad was persecuted thus and he had to leave Mecca for Medina. Jesus was crucified for the meek and the mute. As the Lord’s Will assumes the form of a tree—the Kalpavriksha—in order to be a perennial source of sustenance and sweetness to others, great persons have suffered voluntarily, for the sake of their beneficent beliefs. In spite of hurdles and handicaps, Prophet Muhammad did not give up his conviction; He declared that there was only One God and that His Name was Allah. He commanded his disciples to serve mankind, and treat all others as fellow beings, children of the same God. Study the Gift of God to man, namely the Qur’an and hold its teachings as valid for all time, because they are universal and basic.
