Esta mañana, Swami estaba hablando con los voluntarios que habían participado en la Conferencia Global de Educación recién concluida en Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli.
Swami dijo: " si esto no puede suceder aquí, puede suceder en ningún otro lugar. Si no puede suceder en este momento en el tiempo ahora, entonces puede suceder nunca más. Y si no puede suceder con usted y yo, entonces no puede suceder por nadie más!"
Estas no eran declaraciones ordinarias. Si esta revolución en el campo de la educación, el cuidado de la salud, la espiritualidad, e incluso en general, la vida humana no puede suceder ahora con Swami a nuestro lado y todos nosotros a su lado, no puede suceder en ningún otro momento, de ninguna otra forma, de ninguna otra lugar. Este es el mejor momento, lugar, situaciones y personas con quienes se puede hacer esto. Esta es una de esas declaraciones que Swami hace de vez en cuando. Realmente me sacude desde dentro la profundidad, la intensidad y la magnitud de lo que Él está diciendo.
En los últimos días, he visto a oradores provenientes de muchas partes del mundo y se han realizado muchos esfuerzos para traerlos aquí porque nosotros, como la Universidad Sri Sathya Sai para la Excelencia Humana que se acaba de formar, somos demasiado nuevos para reclamar cualquier autoridad o superioridad sobre varias otras instituciones que tienen mil años de edad de donde la gente había venido para esta conferencia. Sin embargo, Swami se atrevió a enviar invitaciones a los incondicionales en el campo de la educación basada en valores.
Incluso a la hermana Bhuvana, que fue enviada a conocer a personas de todo el mundo, ya fueran de Estados Unidos, Australia, Malasia, Laos o Gran Bretaña; e invitarlos a venir a Muddenahalli para la conferencia, no hubieran creído que personas de este calibre y estatura llegarían hasta una pequeña aldea rural remota en la India por invitación de una institución, que históricamente comenzó hace menos de un año; vendrán, participarán, y deliberarán sobre un tema que es muy específico en su naturaleza.
Si esto fuera una conferencia tecnológica o una conferencia de desarrollo rural, probablemente atraeríamos a más personas fácilmente.
Estamos hablando de la Educación del Valor que la mayoría de los educadores están rehuyendo.
Pero Swami tomó la decisión de llamar a la gente para abordar este tema en particular que, según Él, es lo más importante para construir un futuro mejor, y la gente vino.
Mientras Swami interactuaba con ellos, Él no preguntó de dónde venían, cuál era su calificación. Como un anfitrión amable, cariñoso y atento, preguntó si su estancia era cómoda y si necesitaban algo. Fueron conmovidos por la generosidad, la preocupación amorosa y humanitaria de Swami, a diferencia de otros anfitriones en todo el mundo. Esto los transformó. En cualquier otro lugar, quizás se dieran la mano, intercambiarian bromas y discutirian sus logros, pero aquí era diferente.
Y cada persona que abandonó el Ashram como parte de una familia, aunque él o ella fue un extraño para Swami, para este sistema y para todos nosotros; como lo dijo un orador, "vine como un extraño y me voy como una familia".
Ese es el tipo de transformación que ocurrió en sólo tres o cuatro días de su asociación con Swami. No sucedió porque Swami dio un discurso muy ennoblecedor y los enriqueció con algunas grandes teorías de la educación de valores, sino simplemente porque mostró mucho amor y preocupación por ellos, no solo cuando los estaba conociendo directamente sino también a través de todos los voluntarios, todas las personas asociadas e involucradas en las cosas del día a día.

Hoy, Swami dijo maravillosamente a los voluntarios que, ' una taza de café que has servido con una sonrisa abundante al dignatario, ira muy lejos en cambiar el escenario de la educación en el mundo. '
Durante una visita al Centro Espacial de la Nasa en 1962, el presidente John F. Kennedy notó a un conserje llevando una escoba. Interrumpió su gira, se acercó al hombre y le dijo: " Hola, soy John F Kennedy. Qué estás haciendo?"
Bueno, Sr. Presidente," el conserje respondió: " Estoy ayudando a Estados Unidos a poner a un hombre en la luna."
Swami dijo a los voluntarios: " Esto es lo que hicieron, cuando sirvieron una taza de café con esa sonrisa, ayudaron a hacer un impacto en el futuro de la educación de valor en el mundo. Ninguno de ustedes ha interpretado un papel menor. Desde el portero, a los que cocinaron y sirvieron, a los que organizaron el auditorio, a los asociados, a las personas que estaban directamente involucradas; todos ellos han participado de alguna manera en la creación de mejores valores basados en el futuro para los niños del mundo.
Me sorprendió la forma en que Swami los hizo parte de eso. El hecho de que no estuvieran en el podio hablando por el micrófono, no significa que no fueran significativos para este esfuerzo. Todo el mundo involucrado es significativo porque lo que hiciste en alguna parte conmovió los corazones de esos oradores, tu amor y tu preocupación les ha hecho comprender de qué se trata la filosofía de educación de Sai Baba, en la vida en general y sobre el sustento de la vida.
Una oradora insistió en reunirse con Swami antes de irse. Swami compasivamente le permitió venir y expresarse. Ella dijo que nunca ha visto otro lugar donde la gente sea tan amorosa y cariñosa. Todos fueron tan humildes, con tanta humildad, nos atendieron con una sonrisa en la cara. Ella dijo que la había tocado tanto. Y Swami estaba muy orgulloso.
Swami dijo: "Yo no les enseño mucho. ¡Pero les he dicho que si quieren servirme, deberían servir a todos! Y si quieren amarme, ¡deberían amar a todos!
En cada individuo, soy Yo y Yo solamente.
Entonces, si sirven bien a una persona, deben saber que el servicio Me ha llegado. ¡Esto es todo lo que le he enseñado a Mi gente aquí y esto es todo lo que están practicando!
Cuando te conocieron, realmente no te conocieron. Se reunieron conmigo en tu forma y es por eso que fueron tan amorosos y cariñosos porque querían servirme de la mejor manera posible al servirte a ti ".
En cada individuo, soy Yo y Yo solamente.
Entonces, si sirven bien a una persona, deben saber que el servicio Me ha llegado. ¡Esto es todo lo que le he enseñado a Mi gente aquí y esto es todo lo que están practicando!

Qué simple puede ser la espiritualidad. ¿Se puede simplificar un poco más la pregunta?
Verme en todo; Servirme en todo y Amarme en todo. Este es el final de todas las lecciones espirituales que uno puede aprender.

This morning Swami was speaking to the volunteers who had participated in the just concluded Global Education Conference at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli.
Swami said, “If this cannot happen here, it can happen nowhere else. If it cannot happen at this point in time now, then it can happen never again. And if it cannot happen with you and Me, then it cannot happen by anybody else!”
These were not ordinary statements. If this revolution in the field of education, healthcare, spirituality and even in general, human living cannot happen now with Swami by our side and all of us by His side, it cannot happen any other time, in any other way, in any other place. This is the best time, place, situations and people with whom this can be done. This is one of those statements Swami makes once in a while. It really shakes me from within about the depth, the intensity and the magnitude of what He is saying.
In the last few days, I have seen speakers come from many parts of the world and lot of efforts were put to bring them here because we as Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence which has just formed, we are too new to even claim any authority or superiority over several other institutions which are thousand years old from where people had come for this conference. Yet, Swami was bold to send out invitations to stalwarts in the field of values based education.
Even Sister Bhuvana who was sent to meet people across the globe whether it was America, Australia, Malaysia, Laos, or Britain; and invite them to come to Muddenahalli for the conference would not have believed that people of this caliber and stature would come all the way to a small rural remote village in India on the invitation of one institution, historically started less than a year ago; they will come, participate, deliberate on a topic which is so very specific in its nature. If this was a Technological conference or a rural development conference, probably we would attract more people easily. We are talking about Value Education which most educationists are shying away from. But Swami took the decision to call people to address this particular issue which according to Him is the most important thing to build a better future, and people came. As Swami interacted with them, He did not ask where they had come from, what was their qualification. Like a gentle, loving, caring host He asked if their stay was comfortable and if they needed anything. They were touched by the generosity, the loving and caring concern of Swami unlike any other hosts around the world. This transformed them. Anywhere else, they would perhaps shake hands, exchange pleasantries and discuss their achievements but here it was different. And every person who left the ashram as a family though he or she came as a total stranger to Swami and to this system and to all of us; as some speaker put it, ‘I came as a stranger and I am leaving as a family’! That is the kind of transformation that happened in just three or four days of their association with Swami. It did not happen because Swami gave some very ennobling speech and enriched them with some great theories of value education, but simply because He showed so much of love and concern to them, not only when He was directly meeting them but also through all the volunteers, all the associated people involved in the day to day things.
Today, Swami told beautifully to the volunteers that, ‘one cup of coffee that you served with a hearty smile to the dignitary, will go a long way in changing the scenario of education in the world.’
During a visit to the NASA space center in 1962, President John F. Kennedy noticed a janitor carrying a broom. He interrupted his tour, walked over to the man and said, "Hi, I'm John F Kennedy. What are you doing?"
"Well, Mr. President," the janitor responded, "I'm helping America put a man on the moon."
Swami told the volunteers, “This is what you did, when you served a cup of coffee with that smile, you helped make an impact on the future of value education in the world. None of you have played any less a role. From the gatekeeper, to ones who cooked and served, to the ones who organized the auditorium, to the compeers, to the people who were directly involved; all of them have somehow participated in creating better values based future for the children of the world.”
I was stunned by the way Swami made them a part of it. Just because they were not on the podium speaking into the microphone, it does not mean they were not significant to this effort. Everybody involved is significant because what you did has somewhere touched the hearts of those speakers, your love, your concern has made them understand what Sai Baba’s philosophy of education, in general life and living is all about.
A lady speaker was insistent on meeting Swami before leaving. Swami compassionately allowed her to come and express herself. She said that she has never seen another place where people are so loving and caring. Everybody was so humble, with so much humility, with smile on their face they have looked after us. She said that had touched her so much. And Swami was so proud.
Swami told, “I don’t teach them much. But I have told them if they want to serve Me, they should serve everyone! And if they want to love Me, they should love everyone! In every individual, it is Me and Me alone. So, if they serve a person well, they should know that the service has reached Me. This is all I have taught My people over here and this is all that they are practicing! When they met you, they didn’t really meet you. They met Me in your form and that is why they were so loving and caring because they wanted to serve Me in the best possible way through serving you.”
How simple can spirituality be. Can it be simplified any further is the question? See Me in all; serve Me in all and love Me in all. This is the end of all the spiritual lessons one can ever learn.
