“La misión principal es alcanzar a Dios. La misión menor es hacer todas esas cosas que nos llevarán un paso más cerca de Dios ".
Estaremos lanzando un libro de mesa de café sobre Madiyal Narayan Bhat durante el cumpleaños de Swami, en honor a la persona que fue y lo que hizo en su vida. El título del libro es "Un Visionario Con Una Misión". Swami estaba hablando con el escritor del libro y la señora que diseñó el libro.
Swami comenzó con una nota espiritual. Narayan Bhat es retratado como un misionero en el libro. Swami escogió la palabra "misión", y dijo que todos tienen una misión aquí en este mundo. "Si crees que el trabajador que está teniendo un duro día de trabajo en los campos, no tiene una misión, solo Narayan Bhat, que estaba educando a la gente tenía una misión, entonces están equivocados. Todo el mundo está en una misión ".
“La misión principal es alcanzar a Dios. La misión menor es hacer todas esas cosas que nos llevarán un paso más cerca de Dios en nuestra vida diaria. Alguien puede educar y acercarse a Dios. Alguien puede hacer caridad. Alguien puede escribir un libro, alguien puede diseñar un libro. Estos son hitos menores que debemos lograr para lograr la misión más grande o importante de nuestras vidas, que es convertirse en Dios ".
¡Qué fácil lo hizo Swami! No tienes que morir de culpa. "No estoy dirigiendo un hospital. No estoy dirigiendo una escuela. Entonces, ¿soy elegible para alcanzar a Dios?
Swami dijo:
" Mucho! Lo que sea que estés haciendo te va a hacer llegar a Dios!"
Luego Swami fue un paso más atrás y dijo que aquellos que no están involucrados en ningún Seva, digamos! Aquellos que son tan egocéntricos que no pueden pensar en nadie más que ellos mismos, ¿qué hay de ellos?
Swami mismo respondió:
“Incluso ellos están marchando hacia esta misión también. ¿Cómo? Para saber que algo no vale la pena, primero debes tenerlo, entonces experimentarás que no vale la pena. Supongamos que alguien dice que este dulce no vale la pena comerlo. Hasta que hayas comido ese dulce, ¿cómo sabes que no vale la pena comerlo? ¿Simplemente escucharás a alguien y lo creerás? Irás a comer el dulce y luego, cuando sepas, que realmente es malo nunca lo volverás a comer. Para aquellas personas que no han entendido que este mundo no vale la pena, tienen que ir y probar este mundo un poco. Deben pasar por pérdidas y ganancias, placeres y dolores, tristezas y alegrías; ¡Para que finalmente lleguen a la conclusión de que este mundo no vale la pena! Incluso aquellos que están absortos en sí mismos, que son tan egocéntricos, que parecen ser personas muy egoístas; también están marchando hacia la misión, porque están en el proceso de obtener esta experiencia de que el mundo no vale la pena ".
Muchas cosas gloriosas están sucediendo. Mantenga sus ojos y oídos abiertos. Hay mucho que aprender y absorber el uno del otro, en este maravilloso viaje de la vida en el que Swami nos está guiando. Él nos está llevando a todos, estando Él mismo en el asiento del conductor. Y todos somos muy afortunados. No hay dos maneras de hacerlo. Pero lo que hacemos de esto, la forma en que fomentamos nuestro propio crecimiento espiritual utilizando estas oportunidades, depende en gran medida de nosotros. Y por eso, debemos ayudarnos mutuamente a hacer cosas buenas, y así ayudarnos a nosotros mismos por encima de todo lo demás.

“The major mission is to reach God. The minor mission is to do all those things which will take us a step closer to God.”
We are releasing a coffee table book on Madiyal Narayan Bhat during Swami’s Birthday, honouring the person that he was and what he did in his lifetime. The book’s title is ‘A Visionary with a Mission’. Swami was talking to the writer of the book and the lady who designed the book.
Swami started off on a spiritual note. Narayan Bhat is portrayed as a missionary in the book. Swami picked the word ‘mission’ and said everybody is on a mission here in this world. ‘If you think the labourer who is doing a hard day’s toil in the fields outside has no mission, only Narayan Bhat who was educating people had a mission, then you are wrong. Everybody is on a mission’.
“The major mission is to reach God. The minor mission is to do all those things which will take us a step closer to God in our daily lives. Somebody can educate and get closer to God. Somebody can do charity. Somebody can write a book, somebody can design a book. These are minor milestones we have to achieve in order to achieve the larger or major mission of our lives which is to become God”.
How easy Swami made it! You don’t have to die of guilt. ‘I am not running a hospital. I am not running a school. So, am I eligible to reach God?’
Swami said,
“Very much! Whatever you are doing is going to make you reach God!”
Then Swami went one step further down and said those who are not at all involved in any Seva, let us say! Those who are so self-centrered that they cannot think of anybody other than themselves, what about them?
Swami Himself replied,
“Even they are marching towards this mission only. How? To know that something is not worth it, you should have it first to know that it is not worth it. Suppose someone says this sweet is not worth eating. Till you have eaten that sweet, how do you know it is not worth eating? Will you simply listen to somebody and believe it? You will go and eat the sweet and then when you know it’s really bad that you will never eat it again. For those people who have not understood that this world is not worth it, they have to go and taste this world a bit. They should go through losses and gains, pleasures and pains, sorrows and joys; so that ultimately they come to the conclusion that this world is not worth it! Even they who are self absorbed, who are so self-centered, who seem to be very selfish people; they are also marching towards the mission because they are in the process of gaining this experience that the world is not worth it.”
Many glorious things are happening. Keep your eyes and ears open. There is much to learn and absorb from each other, in this wonderful journey of life that Swami is leading us on. He is taking us all, by Himself being in the driver’s seat. And we are all very fortunate. No two ways about it. But what we make out of it, how we further our own spiritual growth using these opportunities is absolutely largely dependent on us. And that, we must help each other to do and thereby help ourselves above everything else.
