En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Singapur, el 3 de febrero de 2017. Un devoto preguntó cómo permanecer firmes y hacer frente a la dilación.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Devoto: Swami, soy un fan de Hanuman. Nos has guiado con muchas enseñanzas y nos has dicho cómo dirigir nuestras vidas. Siempre que practico, lucho. A veces, logro la victoria, y a veces, no puedo complacerte. ¿Cómo puedo permanecer firme y lidiar con las dilaciones?

Swami: Hanuman no es una estrella de cine, así que utilice la palabra "devoto" y no "fan". Si desea una ruta fácil, debe ir cuesta abajo. Todo lo que es difícil esta en la cima de la colina. Si su destino está en la parte superior, tendrá que poner esfuerzo. Todo esto surge de la claridad del pensamiento. Si tiene claro dónde quiere ir, desarrollará la fuerza para alcanzar sus metas. Su vida es similar a escalar una colina. Cuando usted sube una montaña, a veces puede sentirse cansado o agotado a medida que se queda sin oxígeno. Entonces debes descansar. Usted respira un poco de aire, come una barra de energía y bebe un poco de agua. Detenerse no es malo. Abandonar la búsqueda e ir cuesta abajo está mal.

Cuándo nació, usted no sabía cómo caminar. Usted se cayó muchas veces y se lastimó.  Cuando vio a otros corriendo, la sensación de salir de la cuna fue intensa. Usted se cayó un par de veces más, se aferró a alguien y comenzó a aprender a caminar. Del mismo modo, en el camino espiritual, debes tener perseverancia. La pureza de pensamiento y la paciencia también son muy importantes. Permítase un tiempo. Cuando haya reunido suficiente fuerza a través de buenos pensamientos, buenas compañía y buenas reflexiones, puede reanudar el viaje hacia arriba y llegar a la cima de la montaña. La mayoría de la gente se asienta en las estribaciones, porque eso es lo más fácil de hacer. Es fácil ser ignorante, inmundo y analfabeto.

Sin embargo, las cosas fáciles no siempre son buenas. Todas las cosas buenas siempre son difíciles. Es difícil ser alfabetizado, limpio y educado. Si usted está encontrando dificultades, sea feliz porque usted está persiguiendo algo bueno. Si la vida fuera fácil, usted no se preocuparia, ya que usted nunca llegaria a ninguna parte.

In a satsang held in the divine presence at Singapore, on 3 February, 2017. A devotee asked how to remain steadfast and deal with procrastination.

And here is what Swami said:

Devotee: Swami, I am a fan of Hanuman. You have guided us with so many teachings and told us how to lead our lives. Whenever I practice, I struggle. At times, I attain victory and, at times, I fail to please You. How do I remain steadfast and deal with procrastination?

Swami: Hanuman is not a cinema star, so use the word ‘devotee’ not ‘fan’. If you want an easy route, go downhill. All that is tough is at the top of the hill. If your destination is at the top, you will need to put in effort. All this comes from clarity of thought. If you are clear where you want to go, you will develop the strength to achieve your goals. Your life is akin to climbing a hill. When you climb a mountain, sometimes you may feel tired or exhausted as you run out of oxygen. Then you must take rest. You breathe in a little air, eat an energy bar and drink some water. Waiting is not wrong. Giving up the pursuit and going downhill is wrong.

When you were born, you did not know how to walk. You fell many times and hurt yourself. When you saw others running, the feeling to get out of the cradle was intense. You fell a few more times, held on to somebody and started learning how to walk. Likewise, in the spiritual path, you must have perseverance. Purity of thought and patience are also very important. Allow yourself some time. When you have gathered enough strength through good thoughts, company and good thinking, you can resume the journey upwards and reach the top of the mountain. Most people settle in the foothills because that is the easiest thing to do. It is easy to be uneducated, unclean and illiterate.

However, easy things are not always good. All good things are always difficult. It is difficult to be literate, clean and educated. If you are encountering difficulties, be happy that you are pursuing a good thing. If life were easy, you would worry, as you would never get anywhere.
