Hoy por la mañana, me desperté a las 4:15 de la mañana a tomar un baño. Como nos habían alojadas en el edificio de la escuela, sólo había dos baños para veinte de nosotros!.
Y por lo que tuvimos que programar nuestros baños. Hasta mi turno, me dormí un rato. Me desperté justo después de las seis, el Riyaz(práctica de canto) se había iniciado en la otra habitación.
Había dos habitaciones que se habían asignado para nosotros. Una en la que me alojé, era en realidad una habitación dentro de otra habitación y me gustó ser ocultado profundamente. Las camas eran cómodas y perfectamente preparado para nosotros, con todos los artículos esenciales y zapatillas de baño también. Había mesas en cada una de las habitaciones que habían sido provistas con galletas, chocolates, y muchas otras cosas. Fue un alojamiento agradable y cómodo!. ¡Ah!..Ahora, permítanme volver a la Riyaz que estaba hablando.

Fue agradable escuchar a Rb, L, A y P, en la práctica de fondo. Liderando la banda y wow! Era un maestro! Después de que la práctica de la mañana se llevó a cabo, pensando que la salida del sol sería tan grande como en Hadshi, P y yo fuimos a la terraza. Fue otro viaje sinuoso para encontrar la ruta a la terraza, la cocina estaba en el camino. Fue en este tiempo que hemos descubierto un vínculo entre nuestro edificio y el que alojaba a Swami!

Luego tuvimos nuestro desayuno después de lo cual recibí una llamada de Amma quejándose de que el sevadal no le permite entrar. La tengo en la puerta y le dije a los Sevadal que deben permitirle pasar todos los días. Luego regresamos a nuestras habitaciones, en espera de instrucciones de Swami en cuanto a cuándo debemos hacer lo nuestro. Sorprendentemente (sorprendentemente en realidad), nadie nos envió un mensaje que Swami había bajado y se dirigios hacia la zona del centro, donde los devotos se habían reunido para los bhajans. Todos estaban descansando y durmiendo y en nuestros pequeños mundos, cuando nos dijeron que nos demos prisa, ya que Swami había pedido por nosotros. Nos precipitamos a la entrada principal del edificio de la residencia de Swami.
Debo mencionar aquí que los edificios en el Centro Sai de aquí son muy interesantes. Hay callejones y pasadizos y parece cada día como un descubrimiento. Ya habíamos descubierto tantos accesos directos y se convirtió en una especie de logro cuando se halló un "camino" para hacer la vida más fácil!.
Yo sabía que nuestro edificio y la construcción de Swami estaban conectadas y había descubierto la conexión también. Pero para los demás, al igual que nuestra conexión con Dios, ellos sabían que había una conexión entre los edificios - lo sentían a pesar de que no la había visto! ) .
Cuando nos sentamos a la entrada del edificio, esperamos a Swami, aun por venir. Fue después de unos minutos que me di cuenta de que Swami ya estaba fuera, y en el escenario! Llamé a CG y le dije que deberíamos ir allí y rápido. Me mudé rápidamente y luego cuando llegué a la parte delantera, Swami me vio. Él se me quedó viendo. Era como si Él estaba buscando donde estaban los demás. Mientras tanto tenia una buena mirada directa de Swami.
La reunión de los devotos en el Centro Internacional
Un pandal había sido erigida alrededor para 5000 personas sentadas. El grupo de bhajans estaba en el frente tanto el de damas y de caballeros. La caballeros estaban a la derecha de Swami. Swami tenía un escenario especial, con un techo de tela encima de él. Esta fue el área de terreno del darshan que había sido temporalmente cubierta en el centro internacional. Descendiendo, también se trasladó a la parte trasera a lo largo de las filas y tomamos fotos, directamente desde el fondo.
Había una gran multitud que se había reunido. No era tan evidente desde la parte delantera. A pesar de que estaba tomando fotos, Swami pidió el Aarthi. Me trasladé a la parte delantera y tome fotografías de el Aarthi y la entrega de la rosa. La persona que realiza el Aarthi al parecer no estaba familiarizado con el estilo en Parthi. Siguió agitando el alcanfor mucho después de que " Om Narayana , Narayana "había comenzado. Swami, más tarde San, incluso le dijo que pusiera la placa del Aarthi abajo. Me acerqué a él y suavemente lo empuje, diciéndole que la coloque abajo. Al ver que no aprecia entenderlo, le tome la placa y la puse abajo. Tengo que hacer una nota del especial color de la túnica de Swami. No era el naranja o el azafrán que Él lleva en Parthi. Fue más profundo y tenía un aspecto aterciopelado la misma. Era sin duda brillante y fue la primera vez que veía a Swami con este tipo de túnica.

Swami bendijo a todos después de que el mantra Samastha Loka fue cantado. Él se movió de nuevo y todos los caballeros y las damas VIP, tuvieron un darshan bueno y la oportunidad para hacer padanamaskar. Swami, en lugar de girar a la izquierda en el edificio, se movió hacia adelante y bajo otra rampa. Cruzó la calle hacia el edificio de la escuela primaria en la que habían sido presentados. Como estaba caluroso y soleado, un paraguas amarillo se llevó para él. Pasando la pendiente, llegó a la entrada del edificio que había sido modificado en un improvisado escenario.
La gente se sentó abajo en el lado opuesto a la pendiente sobre la que Swami había llegado. Swami se sentó frente a ellos por unos momentos y eso fue suficiente para mí para saltar y tomar unas cuantas fotos. Swami bendijo a los devotos con una sola mano en Abhayahastha.
Swami ahora se mudó al edificio donde tomo por el ascensor al primer piso.Swami estaba de visita en la exposición, en los pisos de abajo, donde nos alojábamos, en la mañana de hoy se nos dijo de repente que Swami podía visitar nuestras habitaciones.
Como el más entusiasta seva dal , nosotros habíamos arreglado nuestras habitaciones a proporciones casi asépticas! . Yo no tenía la menor idea de la exposición y pensé que dado que Swami me había preguntado sobre nuestras camas ayer por la noche, tal vez él quería echar un vistazo.
Habían hecho una exposición de fotografías de las diversas actividades en el centro internacional de Delhi. No era muy impresionante ya que el espacio era muy estrecho. Pero habían tratado de hacer una buena exposición de fotos en el espacio disponible. Swami entró en el ascensor y se trasladó hacia el piso de la exposición. CG que se había precipitado por las escaleras y esperó la llegada de Swami, como de costumbre.
Al salir del ascensor, Swami vio las imágenes y los objetos expuestos en el vestíbulo central , que habían sido alineados en los estrechos pasillos también. Luego fue llevado a la biblioteca que se encontraba al final de uno de los pasajes.
Swami con mucho interés observa la exposición de fotografías
Swami se movió entre los bastidores metálicos con libros y se le explicaba sobre la "variedad" que existia allí. Fue bueno para obtener algunas imágenes raras. Swami en medio de los libros y los estantes es algo raro de ver. Así que muchos miembros de la organización se habían colocado en varios puntos estratégicos y buscaron sus bendiciones. Al salir de la biblioteca, Swami vio la otra habitación en el piso también. Swami entonces entró en el ascensor y comenzó el descenso. Swami fue invitado a la sala de control que estaba siendo atendido por seva dal y algunos ex alumnos. Entró y dio una mirada. Era más para conceder una oportunidad de proximidad para todos los que habían estado trabajando. Swami bendijo a todos ellos y escucho lo que tenían que decir antes de salir del edificio.

Fuera del edificio, mientras tanto los niños habían sido alistados para hacer su presentación. Los niños eran todos de los suburbios de Delhi, estaban siendo educados en una escuela Sathya Sai Primaria y todos parecían conscientes de que este era el momento más grande de sus vidas. Toda la zona se había alfombrado de color rojo y tan pronto como Swami llegó, comenzaron su programa. ........

Delhi Tour with Sathya Sai - Part 3.
Today morning, I woke up at 4:15am to have a bath. Since we had been accommodated in the school building, there were only two bathrooms for the twenty of us! And so we had to schedule our baths. Completing my bath, I slept for a while. When I woke up just after six, the Riyaz (singing practice) had begun in the other room.
There were two rooms that had been alloted for us. The one in which I stayed was actually a room in a room and I liked being buried deep within. Beds had been comfortably and neatly laid out for us with all the essential toiletries and bathroom slippers too. There were tables in each of the rooms that had been laden with biscuits, chocolates, cookies and many other goodies. It was a delightful and comfortable accommodation! Ah! Now, let me return to the Riyaz I was speaking about.

It was nice to hear Rb, Ls, A and P practice the base notes. A was leading the band and wow! Was he a master! After the morning practise was done, thinking that the sunrise would be as grand as Hadshi, P and I went to the terrace. It was another winding journey to find the route to the terrace for the kitchen was along the way. It was at this time that we discovered a connecting link between our building and the one in which Swami was staying!

Then we had our breakfast after which I got a call from Amma complaining that the sevadal were not allowing her in. I got her in through the gates and told the Sevadal people that she should be allowed in daily. Then we returned to our rooms, awaiting instructions from Swami as to when should we do what.
Surprisingly (shockingly actually), nobody messaged us that Swami had moved down and to the area in the Centre where all the devotees had gathered for bhajans. We all were lazing and sleeping and in our own little worlds, when we were told to hurry as Swami had asked for us. We rushed to the main entrance of the Swami's residence building.
I must mention here that the buildings in Sai Centre here are exciting. There are so many alleys and passageways and everyday seems like a discovery. We had already discovered so many shortcuts and it became a sort of achievement when anyone found a ‘way’ to make life easier! I knew that our building and Swami’s building were connected and had discovered the connection too. But for the others, just like our connection with God, they knew that there was a connection between our buildings – they felt it though they had not seen it! :)
As we sat at the entrance of the building, we waited for Swami to come. It was after a few minutes that I realized Swami was already out and on the stage! I called CG and told him that we should go there and shoot. I moved ahead and then as I reached the front, Swami saw me. He kept looking at me. It was as if He was searching for where the others were. In the meantime I got a good direct look picture of Swami.

A pandal had been erected and about 5000 people had been seated. The bhajan group was in the front on both the ladies’ and gents’ sides. The gents were to Swami’s right. Swami had a special stage with a cloth roof above Him. This was the darshan ground area which had been temporarily roofed in the international centre. Descending from the stage, I also moved to the back along the barricades and took pictures, right from the behind.
There was quite a huge crowd that had gathered. It was not so obvious from the front but a brief journey to the back made everything clear. Even as I was taking pictures, Swami asked for Aarthi. I moved to the front and took pictures of the Aarthi and the rose giving. The person doing the Aarthi was apparently unfamiliar with the style at Parthi. He kept waving the camphor long after the “Narayana Narayana Om” had started. Swami and later even St told him to put the Aarthi plate down. I went to him and gently nudged him, telling him to place the Aarthi plate down. When he did not seem to get it, I took the plate and placed it down myself.
I must make a note of the special colour of Swami’s robe. It was not the orange or saffron that He wears at Parthi. It was deeper and had a velvety look to it. It was definitely shining and it was the first time I was seeing Swami in this kind of a robe.

Swami then blessed everyone after the Samastha Loka mantra was chanted. He moved back and all the VIP gents and ladies had a good darshan and chance for padanamaskar. Swami, instead of turning left into the building, moved ahead and down another ramp. He crossed the road towards the Primary school building where we had all been put up. Since it was hot and sunny, a yellow umbrella was carried over Him. Moving on the slope, He reached the entrance of the building which had been modified into a makeshift stage.
People sat below on the side of the stage opposite to the the slope on Swami Swami had arrived. Swami sat facing them for a few moments and that was enough for me to jump down and take a few pictures. Swami gifted those devotees with a single handed Abhayahastha even as MR Kaw kept giving flowers into His hands.
Swami now moved into the building where He was taken by the lift to the first floor. Since Swami was visiting the exhibition on the floors below where we were staying, today morning we were suddenly told that Swami may visit our rooms. With the over enthusiastic seva dal helping us, we had tidied up our rooms to almost aseptic proportions! I did not have the slightest idea about the exhibition and thought that since Swami had asked about our beddings last night, maybe He wanted to examine them today.
An exhibition of photographs of the various activities at the Delhi International centre had been made. It was not very impressive as the space was very cramped. But they had tried to make as good an exhibition of photos in the available space. Swami entered the elevator and moved up towards the exhibition floor. CG and I had rushed up the stairs and we awaited Swami’s arrival as usual. Coming out of the lift, Swami saw through the pictures and exhibits in the central lobby and they had been lined into the narrow passageways also. He was then taken into the library that stood at the end of one of the passages.

Swami moved among the metallic racks stacked with books and the “variety” that existed there was explained to Him. It was nice for me to get some rare pictures. Swami amidst the books and bookshelves is something rare to see. So many members of the organisation had positioned themselves at various vantage points and they sought His blessings. Coming out of the library, Swami saw the other room on the floor also. Swami then got into the lift and began the descent. Swami was invited to the control room which was being manned by seva dal and some alumni. He went in and had a look. It was more so to grant an opportunity of proximity for all those who had been working. Swami blessed all of them and heard what they had to say before moving out of the building.

Outside the building, the children had got ready in the meanwhile to make their little presentation. The children were all from the Delhi slums who were now being educated in a Sathya Sai Primary school and they all seemed aware that this was the biggest moment of their lives. The entire area had been red carpeted and as soon as Swami arrived, they began their programme. ........
