NUEVA GANESHA IDOL, MEDITACIÓN DEL ÁRBOL, Gurupurnima 2012 ..........

Prasanthi se está preparando para su segundo festival Gurupurnima en ausencia de su forma física. El año pasado para esta fecha, el mundo entero vio la inauguración del Mahasamadhi y este año marcará una nuevo inauguración y reapertura, etc, y se comenzara con un pequeño ídolo de Ganesha, que se colocara justo enfrente de la puerta del Gopuram.
Esta tarde, mientras caminaba por el ashram, alrededor de las 8:30 pm unos pocos sacerdotes del estado de Karnataka, fueron vistos haciendo un yagna al colocar el ídolo de Ganesha detrás de la estatua de Rama, por la puerta grande de Sai Kulwanth Hall.
Supongo que el yagna se llevó a cabo para activar la estatua, antes de instalar el ídolo.
Es de 3 pies de alto y de Loha Pancha (cinco metales), el ídolo de Ganesha brillaba en su esplendor cuando el yagna se realizando, justo detrás de las estatuas de Rama y Sita, con apenas 4 o 5 devotos sentados para presenciar este yagna, y sorprendentemente el hermano Issac Tigrett fue visto sentado con los ojos cerrados, completamente con en el yagna.
Es de 3 pies de alto y de Loha Pancha (cinco metales), el ídolo de Ganesha brillaba en su esplendor cuando el yagna se realizando, justo detrás de las estatuas de Rama y Sita, con apenas 4 o 5 devotos sentados para presenciar este yagna, y sorprendentemente el hermano Issac Tigrett fue visto sentado con los ojos cerrados, completamente con en el yagna.
La instalación se llevará a cabo en medio de cánticos veda después de las 5 am, el 29 de junio de 2012.

53o Aniversario del árbol de la Meditación:

Recientemente la gestión de Prashanti ha tomado a cargo diversas actividades, especialmente en aquellos lugares o zonas que se asociaron estrechamente con Sathya Sai Avatar.
Y al árbol de la meditación, que se encuentra en la cima de una colina, en el camino hacia el antiguo museo, se le ha dado un lavado de cara y está todo listo para dar la bienvenida a los buscadores espirituales, para que tengan la oportunidad de mirar hacia dentro.
El 29 de junio 2012, este árbol cumplirá 53 años de existencia, bendecido personalmente por Swami y plantado por el mismo Divino. Como parte del programa de lavado de cara, un pequeño muro se ha construido a su alrededor y también toda la zona de estar, se ha vuelto a hacer, que va a resolver el problema que tenían los devotos, que tenían dificultades para sentarse bajo el árbol, especialmente durante la temporada de lluvias como toda la zona estaba un poco embarrada.
Una Vriksha Puja (Puja Árbol), especial, de 45 minutos está programada para las 9:45 de la mañana del 29 de junio 2012, y que estará abierta para todos.

Se cuenta que el Banyano que crece en el bosque, tiene una santidad peculiar. En abril de 1959,
mientras hablaba, una noche en las arenas del río Chitravati, a un grupo de devotos, Baba
habló de Buda y el árbol de Bodhi, el "Árbol de la Sabiduría", y de los sadhakas (espiritual
aspirantes) en busca de algunos lugares especialmente favorables para sus austeridades.
Se cuenta que el Banyano que crece en el bosque, tiene una santidad peculiar. En abril de 1959,
mientras hablaba, una noche en las arenas del río Chitravati, a un grupo de devotos, Baba
habló de Buda y el árbol de Bodhi, el "Árbol de la Sabiduría", y de los sadhakas (espiritual
aspirantes) en busca de algunos lugares especialmente favorables para sus austeridades.
Mientras hablaba, él "tomó" de las arenas, una placa de cobre de unos quince centímetros por diez centímetros de tamaño, que contenía las marcas místicas y las cartas de muchos alfabetos conocidos y desconocidos!
Dijo que estas placas místicas, criptogramas escrito en cobre o piedra, se colocan bajo los árboles, donde los aspirantes realizar austeridades, para que puedan ser ayudados a desarrollar la concentración de la mente y el control de los sentidos.
Él anunció que la placa de cobre, iba a ser la colocada bajo un árbol Banyano, que se proponía plantar en el bosque. Esto se hizo realidad el veintinueve de junio de 1959, y Sai Baba declaró que los yoguis que han alcanzado cierto grado de progreso espiritual, automáticamente serán conducidos por la fuerza misteriosa de este hacia el bosque de la meditación !

El Gurupurnima se celebrará durante dos días, es decir, el 2 y 3 de julio. Este año asistiremos a una mezcla muy diferente de oradores de todos los ámbitos de la vida.
En la mañana del 2 de julio Swami Saraswati Dayananada abordara el tema hinduismo, el Prof. Akhtarul Wasey de Nueva Delhi hablara sobre el Islam
El programa de la noche tendrá al padre Dominic Emmanuel de Delhi se la Arquidiócesis Católica hablando sobre el cristianismo , y Dr.BV Rajaram de la Sociedad Mahabodhi de Bangalore nos ilustrara sobre el budismo.
En 3 de Julio, día Gurupurnima, después de un programa musical a cargo de los estudiantes de Swami, el Dr. Kota Shiva Kumar, DR Reddy Narendranath y Mr Pandya Nimish , se dirigirán a la concurrencia y el programa de la noche tendrá ha uno de los cantantes favoritos de Swami, los hermanos Malladi, que apasionaran a todos nosotros con su música divina.
Aunque no es oficial y si creemos en los medios de comunicación locales, la leyenda de cricket de la India, un ferviente devoto de Bhagavan, Sachin Tendulkar, quien fue nominado recientemente como miembro del Parlamento, en reconocimiento a su contribución al juego del cricket, asistiría este año al festival de Gurupurnima. Prashanthi is gearing up for Her second Gurupoornima festival in the absence of His physical form. Last year this time, the whole world saw the unveiling of Mahasamadhi and this year will mark some new inaugarations, re-openings etc and the first one to start with is a small Ganesha Idol which will be placed right infront of Gopuram gate. This evening as i was walking in the ashram around 8:30pm few priests from the state of Karnataka were seen doing a yagna placing the idol of Lord Ganesha behind the Rama statue by the big gate of Sai Kulwanth Hall. i guess the yagna was done to energise the statue before installing which is done for any idol before installing.
The (about) 3 feet tall Pancha Loha ( Five metals) Ganesha idol was shining in its brilliance as the yagna was going on just behind the Rama, Sita statues, with hardly 4 or 5 devotees seated to witness this yagna and surprisingly Brother Issac Tigrett was also seen seated with close eyes, completely focused on the yagna.The installation will be done amidst veda chantings after 5 am on 29th June 2012.
(even though not very sure, i was told it is the same Ganesh idol which used to be on the dais)
New Gate adjacent to Ganesh gate will also be opened on the same day. it is said that this small gate will be used for exit.
53rd Anniversary of Meditation Tree:

In the recent past the Prashanti Management has taken up various developmental activities especially to those places/areas that were closely associated with Sathya Sai Avatar and the meditation tree which is located on the hill top, on the way to the old museum has got a facelift and is all set to welcome spiritual seekers to take an opportunity to look within. Come June 29th, 2012, this tree will complete 53 years of its existence, blessed personally by Swami and planted by the Divine Himself. As part of the facelift programme a small wall has been built around it and also the whole seating area has been re-done which will solve the problem of the meditating devotees who until now were finding it difficult to sit under the tree especially during rainy season as the whole area was bit muddy. A special 45 minute Vriksha Puja (Tree Puja) is scheduled at 9:45 am on 29th June, 2012 which is open for all.

The Banyan that is growing in the grove has a peculiar sanctity of its own. In April of 1959,
while talking one evening on the sands of the Chitravathi River to a gathering of devotees, Baba
spoke of Buddha and the Bodhi tree, the “Tree of Wisdom,” and of the Sadhakas (spiritual
aspirants) seeking some specially favorable spots for their austerities. Even as He was speaking
thus, He “took” out from the sands a thick copper plate about fifteen inches by ten inches in size
which contained mystic markings and letters of many known and unknown alphabets! He said that
such mystic plates, cryptograms written on copper or stone, are planted under trees where
aspirants engage in austerities so that they may be helped to develop concentration of mind and
control of the senses. He announced that He would be placing the copper plate under a Banyan
tree that He proposed to plant in the grove. This was actually done on the twenty-ninth of June,
1959, and Sai Baba declared that Yogis who have reached a certain stage of spiritual progress
will automatically come to know of this tree and this mystic plate, and they will be drawn by the
mysterious force of these toward the meditation grove which will then fully justify its name!

GURUPOORNIMA 2012:
The Gurupoornima will be celebrated for two days i.e. on July 2nd and 3rd. This year we will he witnessing a very different blend of speakers from all walks of life addressing the gathering. On morning of July 2nd Swami Dayananada Saraswathi would be addressing on Hinduism , Prof.Akhtarul Wasey from New Delhi would be addressing on Islam
The evening programme will have Father Dominic Emmanuel of Delhi Catholic Archdiocese speaking on Christianity and Dr.B.V.Rajaram of Mahabodhi Society, Bangalore enlightening the gathering on Buddhism.
On July3rd, Gurupoornima day, after a musical programme by Swami's students, Dr. Kota Shiva Kumar, Dr.Narendranath Reddy and Mr.Nimish Pandya would address the gathering and the evening programme will have one of Swami's favourite singers, Malladi brothers enthralling all of us with their divine music.
Even though not official and if we have to believe the local media sources, the cricket legend of India, an ardent devotee of Bhagawan, Sachin Tendulkar, who was recently nominated as Member of Parliament in recognition of his contribution to the game of Cricket would be attending this year's Gurupoornima festival. Once again this is completely an unofficial version and may or may not be true.
