"Mumbai" Srinivasan

STORY BEHIND THE PHOTO .

The Camphor – 2

Sri P.S.A.Srinivasan Chettiar was entrusted by Bhagavan Baba, with a unique and great Job of fixing gold foils in Prashanthi Nilayam. I was most fortunate to be included in the team, by Srinivasan Chettiar, along with Sri. Srinivasa Raghavan, and Sri. Sengodan. We are ever thankful to him for providing a great opportunity to join this Divine Seva.

After finishing the work in Sai Kulwant Hall, we were directed to take up the job in the interior and outside veranda of Prashanthi Mandir. The area around the Altar and the ceiling nearby, seemed pretty bad, and looked oily and blackish. While the work was in progress Swami walked in and was quietly watching the workers engaged in the job. Swami looked up near the altar and showed us the black patches up on the corners of the wall and the ceiling in right hand side of the Altar. Swami engaged us in conversation. Swami innocently asked why that particular place had become tarnished.

By profession, I was technologist in industrial heating systems, and had done many researches on the movements of heat rays. I took pride to explain to swami based on my pride. I explained that the black oily patches had been formed by smoke emanating from the camphor burnt during Arathi every day. I also explained the heat rays and the smoke ultimately goes up slightly in an angle, and not vertically up. Swami was listening as if in awe and wonder. Then he asked me to give suggestion to avoid the recurrence of smoky layer! There are small windows at the highest level, but are always kept closed. I took courage to suggest, it would be better if an exhaust fan is fitted.

Instantly Swami got angry with me, told me, “I am trying to build up vibrations inside this prayer Hall, and you are suggesting something to destroy those vibrations. An exhaust fan in the “Garbha Graha?”

My ego and pride were smashed in a second. I knelt down and prayed Swami for forgiveness. Swami smiled back, and called for Sri Bhat who was the priest in Mandir. Swami told Sri. Bhat, pointing His hands on me, “This Bombay Srinivasan is complaining about you. He says that you are burning too much camphor for Arathi. Henceforth, you should use only a very small quantity of camphor for Arathi”.

Swami was insistent that we should not stop work even during Bhajan sessions. Bhajan will be going on and Swami will be sitting on the Golden Throne listening to the Bhajans and at times looking at the workers who were on the job sitting high above the scaffoldings. On this particular day, during evening Arathi, Swami went near Sri. Bhat to see for Himself how much camphor had been kept on the Arathi plate. And a slight glance towards me with a mischief smile.!!1

Later, I will tell you an another incidence of Swami & the Camphor.

With Love & Regards,
"Mumbai" Srinivasan

MILAGROS DEL SEÑOR_MIRACLES OF LORD.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This photo has had Sai Baba's left arm, chin, hair and right hand outlined in black. Now go forward to the next page and see if you too can see Sai Baba's image emerging out of the flames.

There is a second miracle present in this photograph that has gone largely unnoticed by those familiar with this photograph, and that is that the smoke emanating from the flames forms most of the symbol of AUM. Have you ever seen smoke with a sharp angle in the middle of it? Look for that point, that sharp angle about two-thirds of the way up the column of smoke.

This picture depicts a yagna or sacrifice. This is not the kind of sacrifice where one kills an animal. In this ceremony what is sacrificed are one's bad qualities, one's anger, greed, envy, jealousy, and lust. These Vedic Priests are pouring ghee, a form of butter, and other liquids into the fire.
If we had RealAudio, you could hear the chanting of the Vedic Priests, which will go on all day long during certain holidays.

If one looks at the fire in this photograph, Sai Baba's form can easily be seen, with his right hand raised as if blessing others.

If you have trouble seeing Sai Baba's form, click on the photo to go to the next size up in enlargement. That picture has been edited in PhotoShop so that Sai Baba's left arm, hair, and right hand are outlined in black.

PARTHI HOY..!!! PARTHI TODAY...!!!_21-09-2011.

Vibhuti materializaciones:

VIBHUTHI IN SWAMI'S GENERAL HOSPITAL
.
NORTH 4 BLOCK

R. Satish Naik

Grama Seva to Start from the 28th Sept 2011

Om Sairam dearest Sai family

Greetings from the holy land, Puttaparthi. With His divine grace, blessings and His immense compassion, things are looking great in Parthi. The energy levels are high, the tempo is being maintained, the Prashanthi schedule right from Suprabhatam is as it used to be with very peaceful and extended Mahasamadhi darshan arrangements.
GRAMA SEVA 2011
Come the end of september there is always tons of anxiety in the air as the most beautiful festival of Dasara followed by Diwali fast approaches. It is also a great excitement for the people of Puttaparthi and surrounding villages as they would be blessed with Swami's Prasadam as part of Grama seva.
Even for the students it would be a busy schedule as they do the major "home work" and "hard work" right from packing the food packets, sarees, dhothis to distributing to one and all in villages. This "Grama seva" also gives a good chance to students in particular to peep into the lives of the poor villagers where the living conditions are poor, the nutrition levels are poor and even the houses are poor but yet you will find all the villagers content and happy which is a very important point to be noted.
This year's grama seva which is starting from the 28th September to 6th October, is very unique as it marks the 10th Anniversary of this stupendous project which Swami very lovingly started in the year 2000 where He personally monitored each and every aspect of the Grama Seva programme, from selecting the villages, students, mode of transport and also the type of sarees and dhotis to be distributed. Swami's every "work" is very closely knitted with perfection and purity.
This year's grama seva is also very unique as it would be the first Grama seva in His physical absence. There were many rumour mongers who predicted the closure of "grama seva" project from this year. there were some who doubted if this is still in the "Prasanthi Schedule" but our Swami has left His physical form only to "work with more intensity and power" and rest assured, with His grace all the activities would continue for eternity and beyond.

145 VILLGES, 350,000 HOUSES:

This year's Grama seva will cover three mandals surrounding Parthi, Kothacheruvu, Bukkapatnam and Puttaparthi mandals. About 145 villages would be covered as part of Grama seva this year with about 350,000 houses. Each house hold will be given a saree, Dhothi and food packets and Laddu for each member in the family..

Talking of Grama seva we should also mention about the great fortune of few youths from the UK whom Swami very graciously allowed to do the Grama Seva along with the students from the year 2002. In the evening of one fine day in the month of January 2011, I bumped into Mr.Puppet from the UK near Sai Kulwanth hall and his face was brightly lit and he looked very very happy and before I could ask him, he very kindly said, brother Satish, Swami has very kindly accpeted the programme for this year's grama seva programme and with His immense compassion has asked me to bring all the youths who have participated in grama seva over the years to Prasanthi to mark the 10th year of Grama seva programme.. Apparently Mr.Puppet said, Swami! among the boys there are many who are already married and living with children and Swami said, "sabko bulake aana" (bring every one).

Now to keep the promise given to our beloved Lord, there are about 100 youths coming to Prasanthi, old and new, from the UK on the 25th september to play their role in this year's Grama seva programme which I am sure will make Swami very happy.

Dasara sapthaham is going to start from the september 30 in Poorna Chandra Auditorium with poornahuthi on October 6th.

FREE FOOD PROGRAMME:

Not sure how, even though there is no official word yet, but every one in Puttaparthi are talking about the probable launch of Sri Sathya Sai Nithya Annadana Pathakam (free food to all devotees). Some say it will start from Dasara some others say from Swami's birthday. Every major temples in India be it Tirupathi and even Shirdi for that matter, provide free meal to all the Devotees, (provided you wait, sometimes for hours, for your turn). Even though Swami's ashram operates three canteens within the ashram premises, the South Indian canteen in particular is providing a FULL MEAL for just Rs.6 which itself is literally free food scheme as Rs.6 is nothing even for the poorest of the poor.
In this era of high vegetable prices, fuel prices etc, to provide full meal for just Rs.6 is not a small thing. This is where Swami and Swami's ashram stay unique and this free food programme is indeed a noble gesture for Swami's devotees.
The other canteens will operate as usual even after the launch of Free food programme.

VIBHUTHI MATERIALISATIONS:

On a different note, Swami has blessed the General hospital in Puttaparthi with Vibhuthi prasadam as you can see in the pictures with Vibhuthi on them. The black and white photo graph of Swami holding a stethoscope ( Divine Doctor photo) in ward number 14 in the General hospital, has been blessed with Vibhuthi since Septermber 14 2011 and you can also see another Vibhuthi photo of Swami in NORTH 4 block in the ashram. Even though such divine occurences are not new to the Sai world, such a sign of Swami's omnipresence gives immense joy to us the Devotees especially when it happens in His very own Puttaparthi.
On a different note, attached here is a photograph of a poor mother, selling coconuts on the street, definitely an illeterate lady checking her son's note book as he gets ready to go to school. This photo shared by Dr.Amrat Lad of Newzealand is very touching and a definite lesson to all those so called BUSY working women who, inspite of being highly educated, don't have few minutes to look into the child's home work. May God bless this poor mother for her mother hood and love she has for her child inspite of being illiterate and poor..

NO CHANGE IN CHRISTMAS PROGRAMME:

There were many enquiries about the status of Christmas choir which happens on Christmas eve and also the children's choir on 25th December Evening, which for reasons best known was missing from the Prasanthi calender released by the ashram. Even though the Media co-ordinator was notified about this but so far there is no official word but according to a source who is key member for the Christmas programme said that the programmes are as scheduled and they have added Multi faith mass in the double deckar building (conference hall opp.Shopping center) on 27th December and a choir by Croatians on 20th of December in Sai Kulwanth hall.
With Pranams at the Lotus feet of our beloved Lord,

R.Satish Naik

Sai Ram.

The Story Behind the photo

LITTLE LITTLE ACTS !!! LEARN FROM BHAGAVAN BABA:

KARPOORAM, (The camphor):

Swami had said several times the significance of Camphor. When Camphor is lit, the flame illuminates the Garbhagraha of a temple, and allows the devotees to have nice darshan. It should be noted that Electric lamps are not provided inside the sanctum of traditional big temples. Only dim oil lamps are seen there. The camphor consumes itself while helping the devotees to have darshan of the Holy idols. According to Bhagavan Baba, the camphor is a role model of self sacrifice for a good purpose.

Several times, Swami is teaching us small small things through his Divine Leelas. I wish to mention few of such Divine acts, which shows us the way.

Long back, “Sai Krupa’ the free medical seva center in Chennai was being conducted in a thatched shed in Abbotsbury, Mount Road. After giving darshan inside and outside of Abbotsbury, Bhagavan entered the thatched shed and saw for himself, the medical facilities being provided there for the poor people. At the end, a doctor prepared to take Arathi for Swami. Swami smiled and directed the doctor to come out of the shed and take Arathi from outside. Swami showed his hands to the roof of the shed, told the doctor to be always careful.

The same day, after evening darshan in SUNDARAM, the then convener of T’Nagar Samithi, Sri. Krishnamurthi was holding the camphor plate to Swami with a match box, so that Swami could lit the camphor, for Arathi. Swami looked at the camphor, which was a big chunk. He took the camphor in His Divine hands, and broke it into two pieces; Kept one piece on the camphor plate and another piece was given to the Convener.

Smilingly Swami lit the camphor and returned the match box also to the waver. The extreme devotion is not measured by the size of the camphor as offered for Arathi.

I shall tell you another story of “The camphor’ in a day or two.
Sai Ram.

El desarrollo del divino plan Maestro_The Unfolding of a Divine Master plan.

Bhagawan
Bhagawan

The Unfolding of a Divine Master plan

From 'the beauteous Divine Form gliding into our midst granting Darshan', we have come to 'the Darshan of Maha Samadhi of the Avatar of the Age'..a shift that came most unexpectedly and thus difficult to comprehend and come in terms with. Though it came as a shocker for the devoted fraternity, now, upon reflecting, we see many an instance where Bhagawan has given enough hints of His departure from this earthly plane. One such clear instance, perhaps the final one, was on the 20th March when He made a clean gesture, out in the open, bidding adieu to the devotees, from the worldly plane.

And so we question ourselves was this divine departure sudden? Or, as with everything else that unfolded in the earthly life of Bhagawan, it had been planned with precision which only the Master could master? The Lord gave many a hint but the import was lost on most of us.

Let us stroll over to the evening of 20th March 2011, where Beloved Bhagawan gently floated in for divine darshan, in His four wheeled chariot. Even as the tempo of bhajans increased and the Lord showered love and many a blessing, He received spellbound adoration from the devoted gathering. To the glee of the devotees He took two full rounds of the hall. The bliss increased! It was the festival of ‘Holi’ and there were a distinct group of men and women from Bihar, where this day is celebrated gaily. At the far end of the Hall, many stood up on their feet to have that special glimpse and perhaps a glance from Him. Bhagawan interacted with the students and tossed vibhuti packets to them playfully.

The rounds over, once it reached the verandah, the doors of the chariot opened and all eyes were glued to this resplendent Figure in orange hues. What a moment to behold, as the car seat smoothly maneuvered itself to touch Mother Earth and then gently glided along to take its position on the podium. It was then the turn of students, who were fortunate enough to celebrate their birthday that evening to have a special tete a tete with Beloved Bhagawan.

Soon its time for Aarti followed by Samastha Lokaah Sukhino Bhavantu. The joyful moment is prolonged and in a few seconds there is the much coveted double Abhaya Hasta. Even as the audience sighs at this benediction there is a stunning gesture from Bhagawan.

With palms joined together akin to a namaskar, He holds up His arms, first towards the gathering at the gents side and then slowly towards the ladies side. Unprecedented, extraordinary, unique…and thought provoking too. But overlooked. The implications ignored. Was it a gesture indicating “good-bye”?

And now as we are faced with this immeasurable void of the glorious form of our Beloved Lord…the unbearable silence…the inexplicable grief…the immense emptiness…the unanswered whys?...the anguished ‘why couldn’t He’...the steady stream of tears…the shock of the suddenness…the silent acceptance…all of it has its answer in the concluding scene of this erstwhile darshan.

The Beloved One had given a hint but it was not reflected upon deeply. We heard Him but did we listen…?

We saw but did not want to face or believe…or perhaps wanted to avoid…like the ostrich that buries its head in the sand…only to be buried by the sands of time…

Increíble historia de Amma Mera Sai._Amazing story of Amma Mera Sai.

Amazing story of  Amma Mera Sai

My Dearest Kalpataru Sai Family,

Was guided to share this with you so you can see that Swami is everywhere! I had gone to a doctor in LA in the month of May, to get the RA activity in my blood cells checked. He took just one drop of my blood and placed it under the microscope which was attached to his computer. While he was showing me the ‘live’ activity of my white blood cells on the comp screen, I almost froze when I saw Swami in my white blood cell! The circles with a white border are red blood cells and the cell with Swami in it, is a white blood cell… the ‘fighter’ cell which protects us and fights off infections, bacteria and other alien substances within our body. (I was taking a video from my iphone while the doctor was explaining and that is when I saw Swami in my blood cell… in real time!)

Many of you have heard Amma say these words very often that, “Swami is in every cell of my blood, I live Him, eat Him, breathe Him, sleep Him” and so, in His most abundant kindness and to make Amma feel that He has gone nowhere, in fact, He is right there inside her very own blood cells… Swami has shown Himself!!

" Sai Ram.

Story Behind this Photo

“Why fear when I am near” - Experience of  Maj.Gen.(Retd) S.P. Mahadevan

“Swaaaaaameee…..”, she called out from Hyderabad. And Swami responded from Puttaparthi. Swami told devotees sitting in the veranda, that Maj. General S.P. Mahadevan had a setback in his health, and Swami had responded.

Maj. Gen. Mahadevan retired from India’s Armed forces after a long distinguished service and was awarded AVSM for his outstanding services. He subsequently worked as the Chairman of Tamil Nadu Public service Commission.
Here is the story of Divine mercy, which many happened to witness. Maj. Gen. S.P. Mahadevan was then the State President of Tamil Nadu. One day while he was in Hyderabad, he collapsed, after a severe cardiac arrest. His wife, who was near him, called out to Swami. Swami had heard the distress call and instantly resurrected Maj. General. After some days, Swami wrote a letter to Maj. Gen. Mahadevan, a letter written by His own Divine Hands, saying that Swarm had saved him and he need not worry. He had also written that "Why fear when l am near" For the sake of this devotee, Swami had changed the word from 'here' to 'near'. Swami had also sent him a basketful of fruits. After convalescing for about a couple of months at Hyderabad, Maj. General had returned back to Madras.
Let us listen to what Maj. General has to say:
“When I suffered a heart attack on 24Th April 1986 during my visit to Hyderabad. Lord Sai as “Apadhbandhava” not only saved me by responding immediately to my wife’s prayer but also mentioned to some devotees in Prashanhi Nilayam on the same day that I had suffered a heart attack and that He had saved me.

In addition, in His infinite mercy. He had sent me through the Andhra Trust Convener, who had gone to Prashanthi Nilayam, the Divine Vibhuthi Prasad, a basket of citrus fruits and also a letter in His own hand writing, a lettter full of His love, compassion and blessings saying “Don’t worry, I am with you and around you guiding you and guarding you.” Later, on 18Th July 1986 Bhagavan gave me a pleasant surprise by coming all the way to Madras unannounced just to bless me and my wife.”

There was no official tour programme or announcement of Bhagavan coming to Chennai, at that time. Swami was camping in Kodaikanal, some 450 kilometers away from Chennai, and had Bhagavan travelled all the way by road.

On that particular day Maj. Gen. Mahadevan was sitting on the verandah of his house, reading some news papers. His wife was talking with the neighbor lady across the compound wall. Suddenly Swami's car stopped in front of their house. Swami got out of the vehicle and called out to Major General who tried to run down to the gate, which was locked. Swami cautioned him not to rush, and waited till his wife rushed to the gate after coming to know of Swami's unexpected arrival, and opened the gate. Swami, in His Divine mercy had come all the way to Madras to personally bless the devotee whom He had saved recently

Maj. Gen. Mahadevan spoke further on Divine mercy:

“When I wanted resign in 1983 as chairman Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, being very unhappy and agitated due to the political pressure exerted on me by Ministers, MIPS and ML As for selecting their candidates.

Bhagavan counsel led me not to resign and gave me very valuable advice.”You need not oblige all the time, but you can always speak obligingly.”This golden advice stood me well during my full six years tenture as chairman of TNPSC.

In December 1977, He saved my youngest son who is an officer in Indian Navy from a scooter accident, in June 1985 He saved my second son who is pilot in the Air Force from an air crash north of Hyderabad, and in 1980, He saved my eldest son who is an Army Officer from bullets during internal security duties.

My wife who is Sai devotee does not take any medicines except Vibhuti given by Swami. Time and again Swami had made me realize by His mysterious ways that He is omnipresent, omnipotent and Omniscient, knowing all about all our past, present and future and also that He is always residing in our hearts. We are lucky or to be contemporaries of the Sai Avatar. Let us pray to this “Living God” who is also the” Loving God” to bless us all.”

Swami: Alanti vallani yavarinena choosava?

LK: No Swami!

No Swami!

Swami: Sukha dikkha same krutwa laabhaa labho jayo jayaha........

(Usted no hablo bien!)

Mi corazón se hundió! .

Inmediatamente Swami dijo, "Yemi RA NEE Sharanagati?"

A dialogue on Surrender with Swami by B.Aravind.

It was a time when we were all having a discussion on surrender. The discussion had been sparked by a poem in the same name written by a brother. In the course of the sharing, one of my classmates recounted an amazing experience of his which brought finality to the discussion. This was during the Athi Rudra Mahayagnam at Chennai in January 2007, which Swami had Graced with His physical presence. This friend of mine, whom I shall refer to as LK, was also in Swami's retinue, chosen as a speaker. I leave the rest of the narration to him:

OVER TO LK.

It was during the Athi Rudra Maha Yagna at Chennai and I was to give a talk the next afternoon atThiruvanmiyur . The previous evening as we were having dinner with Bhagwan, Swami enquired as to who would be speaking. Since Swami had decided the order of the speakers beforehand, I knew it was my turn and presented myself accordingly:

Swami: Yemi maatladutavu ? (What will you speak ?)
LK : Swami I would speak on, ''Swami as our Guru............''

Swami: What is the meaning of Guru ?
LK : In the sacred texts it is stated that in the word GURU, 'Gu' stands for Gunateeta (beyond attributes) and 'Ru' stands for Roopavarjita (beyond form).

Swami: Alanti vallani yavarinena choosava ? ( Did you ever come across such a Guru ?)
LK: (In astonishment and awe I pointed my folded hands towards Swami) Swami meeru! (You Swami !!)

Swami: Kani naaku roopam unde !! (But I have a form !!), ( and thus contradicting Roopavarjita !)
LK: Swami roopam undina lekapoyina, meere na Guru. (With or without form, I know only you to be my Guru !!)

The Guru with a most beautiful and bewitching form....

And then Swami asked the details of my talk. At the end surprisingly Swami said to all of us around :
Naku telusu, me andara manusulu lo chaala 'doubts' unnayee !! E rozu annee 'clear' chestanu !! Adagandi !!(I know, you all have a lot of doubts in your mind, I will clear those doubts today. Ask !)

It was not merely the manna from the heaven but verily the heaven itself !! Each one chose to ask that which was innermost in their hearts and for me it was, 'What is SURRENDER ?' When my chance came:

LK: Swami, Sharanaagati ante yemi? (Swami, what is the meaning of Surrender ?)
Swami: Sharanagati ante neeku yemi ardhamu ayyinndo, mundu adi cheppu. (First you tell me what you have understood of it !)

LK: Swami, of what little I have read and heard from elders, offering my everything to God is Surrender !!
Swami : GOD DOES NOT WANT ANYTHING FROM YOU SIR !! At every point in time if you remind yourself that, "Whatever is happening is good for me" then you have surrendered to me.

(Swami Continued...)

Do you know how to drive a car ?
LK: Yes Swami

How many gears are there in the car ?
LK: Swami 4 !!

Swami: Yes ! First, second, third and the top gear and also a reverse gear. Tell me, is there any problem when the car runs in the first gear ?
LK: No Swami !

Swami : In the second or third or the fourth ?
LK: (I was not able to understand, but our Lord was preparing for a Master answer !! ) No Swami!

Swami: Then where is the problem ?
LK: (I shrugged in ignorance !)

Swami: The problem comes when there is a change of gears !!! So what do you do when you change gears in a car ?
LK: Swami, we use a clutch !
Swami: Correct ! When you use the clutch, the change of gears is smooth !! Similarly in life, there are 4 gears: HAPPINESS, SORROW, HAPPINESS, SORROW. Just as in car, our lives too continue whether we are in happiness or in sorrow but the problem arises only when there is change or transition from happiness to sorrow and vice-versa. Thus for life too there is a clutch !! The clutch for life is the thought that, "Whatever happens is good for me !" This is what Krishna told Arjuna in the Kurukshetra battle field. Do you know what he said ?

Lord Krishna instructs the great warrior and devotee- Arjuna

LK: (Nodded pleading ignorance)
Swami: Sukha dikkha same krutwa laabhaa labho jayo jayaha........ (The one who is eqanimous in happiness-sorrow, profit-loss, victory-defeat, is the one who has truly surrendered !! )

"Whosoever, follows this, I assure him complete feeling of surrender towards me !!"

( Now that was the lesson taught. But Swami not only teaches the theory, He also gives a practical experience. And my lesson was coming very soon....)

The next day's proceedings turned out to be catastrophic as there was a problem with the PA system at Thiruvammiyur ! Swami was apparently upset as things could not be heard and I too had my share of the "scoldings" !!

When we came back to Sundaram, Swami looked at me angrily and said, "Yemi baaga maatalad ledu !!"(You didn't speak well at all !!)

My heart sank ! I was not having the strength to face Swami, that too during the entire dinner session ! With a sinking heart as I sat for dinner (closest to Swami ironically), he looked at me with a frown and asked one of the senior devotees (pointing at me), " E abbayi yela matladedu ?" (How did this boy speak !!) . Oblivious of what had happened until then, the devotee started heaping praises on me ! Every word was like a scratch on my bleeding heart and I was not able to lift my head !!

Swami: (Ignoring the words of the devotee) Yemi baaga maataladledu !! (Didn't speak well at all !!)
(Then came the biggest jolt !!) "Sharanaagati gurinchi okka mukka kuda mataladaledu!" (You didn't even speak a word about Surrender).

He was referring to the conversation that took place the previous day !!

In spite of all the dejection, my mind revolted. I was screaming within, "Swami this is unfair! I was not supposed to speak on that topic. My topic was GURU ! Why are you doing this to me?"

A meaning behind every action......

Immediately Swami said, "YEMI RA NEE SHARANAGATI ??" (What is your Surrender ?? ).

All the noise in the head was silenced. And I suddenly understood everything. And even as I understood, a smile seemed to blossom on His face. There was so much love.

I clearly felt that I had not surrendered and was unable to say to myself that ," Whatever is happening is good for me " in spite of it coming from God himself!

I was in tears ! I went to Swami and said, "Tappu ayyipoyindi Swami, kshaminchandi !" (Please forgive me for my mistake Swami !)

Immediately, Swami's smile flowered and was so broad...........that said it all !!

PARTHI HOY..!!! PARTHI TODAY...!!!_09-09-2011.

 PARTHI HOY...!!!

Actualizado Viernes, Septiembre 9, 2011 - 11:00 hrs. IST

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Actualizado Viernes, Septiembre 9, 2011 - 19:52 Hrs. IST

Prasanthi Friday celebrated Onam, Kerala’s most important and colourful festival, with traditional gaiety and fervour commemorating a mythical past of plenty, peace and equality.

With the state of Kerala celebrating its most colourful festival Onam, with gaiety and fervour commemorating mythical past, peace and equanimity as practised by its erstwhile Emperor Mahabali, a miniscule of Kerala camping in Prasanthi celebrated the festivity commemorating the golden past of Onam in the immediate Divine presence.

Legend has it that Kerala was once ruled by the 'Asura' king Mahabali, under whose reign everyone were happy and lived in an Utopia where falsehood and deception were unknown. The 'Devas', however, grew jealous of the popular king and had him banished down to the netherworld by Lord Vishnu, who incarnated as Vamana, the dwarf, for the purpose. Before going down, Mahabali secured a boon from Vishnu that he would visit his subjects on 'Thiruvonam' day every year.

The evening programme commenced with Veda chanting by Balvikas children from the state at 1700 hrs. after the regular stint of Vedam. Prof. Mukundan, President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisatons, Kerala introduced the evening briefing about the scaled up activities in the state. He introduced the distinguished speaker for the evening, Sri K. Jayakumar, IAS, who is currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Kerala.

In an illuminating and inspiring speech, Jayakumar, an accomplished poet by himself, burst into a spell of poetic imagination, ruminating over the current phase of physical absence of Bhagawan. Talking about the futility of grieving, the speaker conceded that emotional frame of our heart does miss the Beloved form. He compared his mind of the day with that of a clouded sun, while thinking of Bhagawan physical passing over.

Defining Bhagawan as Eternal Truth personified, running into infinity, Sri Jayakumar said, Bhagawan showed what could be possible with a human birth by following His own dictum, My Life is My Message. By looking into His actions we should be able to understand what and how we can reciprocate for all that Bhagawan has bestowed upon us, most selflessly; we need to focus on two things, that Bhagawan has left on us to complete and these are: Purification of Heart and Love All Serve All. The speaker spoke with confidence calling Prasanthi Nilayam to become a Worldwide Revolution of Love. He exhorted the gathering on the importance of being united while pursuing most selflessly rendering greater service to humanity to bring the meaning of "Samastha Lokaaha..." in action.

Annual winners of Essay Writing Competition held at college and school level were felicitated next with Sri Sathya Sai Gold Medal. All India President of SSSSO, Sri V Srinivasan gave away the medals to Ms. Manju Krishna and Thara Elizebath (was not present).

Sweet immortal stories of enchanting Lord Krishna took precedence at the final phase of Onam 2011 celebrations as students from Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Aluva along with Balvikas children from the state presented a colourful dance drama entitled 'Krishna Kripa Sagaram'.

The drama entwined with colourful episodes of Little Krishna stories had interludes of melodious songs adding flavour to the programme. Some of the episodes were, Krishna's inimitable style of teaching Sandeepani His true form, how the fruit vendor lady at Brindavan was blessed by Lil Krishna abundantly, when a handful of rice grains turned into glittering diamonds, the water pot story, where Krishna initially refuses to 'put the burden' on to the woman who requested the Little One to help her, but later volunteered Himself to carry the burden, Radharani's travail to enter into Brindavan as Krishna forbidden any woman to enter into, Krishna's gurudakshina to Sandeepani etc.

The drama ended with a group song of prayer to Bhagawan. All the children participants were felicitated with clothes and prasadam was distributed to the entire gathering. Bhajans continued for sometime and Mangala Arathi was offered at 1900 hrs.
