Every morning, the verses from one chapter were chanted by everyone attending the Camp along with a study of the meaning of each verse; followed by Gita Sara Sarita - a daily discourse and Q&A session on the same chapter, in the evening. The Annapoorna Trust was spearheaded by the Founder, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai who took the initiative to launch this program on July 5th, 2012. Since then, there has been an unstoppable momentum driving this noble cause forward.
What initially began as a humble endeavor in 2012 has now grown exponentially, reaching out to millions of children across the country through various NGOs. While Annapoorna Trust achieved a remarkable milestone of reaching 3 million children, it has also inspired numerous other NGOs to take up this initiative. The ripple effect of this noble cause continues to spread, nurturing and nourishing young lives all around the nation.
The journey of the Morning Nutrition Program has been a collective effort, with numerous individuals joining hands to contribute their share of selfless service early in the morning, every day.
