- Baba

Gratitude is the very foundation of Indian spirituality. Even before we go to express our gratitude to God, we want to go pure and clean in our hearts So we celebrate the festival of Bhogi a day before in which we light a fire, collect all that which is old, unwanted in our homes and burn all the articles in the fire of Bhogi. The inner significance is to burn all that which is not Divine in us in this fire of wisdom and get rid of them once for all. It is only when Atman, the feeling of Atman, the Atmabhava rises in us, that is Sankranti, a good change, a better change. That is the inner meaning of celebrating the festival of Sankranti. - Baba

God's Nature
Swami was playfully asking students to define God. Someone said ‘Omnipresent’, some others said ‘Omnipotent’ and so on.
Swami listened to them for some time and then replied, “Our Rishis of yore, who experienced God, defined Him in three perfect words that contained all possible explanations of God. They said, ‘Sathyam Jnanam Anantam Brahma’. God is Truth, Wisdom and Infiniteness. Well, if you delve a little deeply, even three words are not needed, just one word is enough which is Truth. For, the embodiment of truth alone is the knower of truth. So He is Jnanam, and since truth pervades all without a beginning or end in all times, so it is Anantam ─ infinite without an end!”
Only God could have improvised upon the already distilled definition of the seers ─ God is truth!

MAKARA SANKRANTI CELEBRATIONS AND SECOND ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS OF SRI SATHYA SAI SARLA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
SATHYA SAI GRAMA, MUDDENAHALLI JANUARY 14, 2020
The festival of Makara Sankranti is a festival of celestial significance as the sun begins its journey northwards and enters the sign of Makara. Celebrated as a time of harvest for famers, MakaraSankranti is an opportunity to show gratitude to the Lord for all He has bestowed and to also offer all that He has given, back to Him.
At Sathya Sai Grama, this festival is a double celebration as the day also marks the anniversary of the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital, the first phase of which was inaugurated in the year 2018. This year, the holy festival of Sankranti was celebrated in the morning, while the evening’s programme was the celebration of the second-year anniversary of the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital, culminating with Tyagaraja Aradhana, in homage to the great saint Tyagaraja.
Morning:
The morning’s proceedings began as Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai entered Premamrutham while Bhajans were in progress. After granting Darshan to everyone and showering His love and blessings on all the students, staff and devotees who had gathered, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai ascended the dais and took His seat on the throne. The celebrations then began with the invocatory Vedic chanting of the Atma Suktam by the eighth and ninth Standard students of the Sri Sathya Sai Sathya Niketanam campus, Hassan district. Thereafter, a short video beautifully recapitulating the travels, visits and projects undertaken by Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai in the year 2019, was played.
This was followed by a wonderful rendition of Sathya Sai Krithis by Dr Hiramalini Seshadri along with a group of 17 alumnae, alumni, staff-members and devotees. Singing in praise of Lord Ganesha, Lord Vitthala and Swami, Dr Hiramalini also offered a beautiful composition on the Mahavakyas (great sayings) from the Upanishads.
Thereafter, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai graciously released the ninth volume of the series, ‘Love Beyond Boundaries’ by Sister Bhuvana Santhanam, chronicling the Divine visits to various countries between June and December 2019.
This was followed with an address by Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, who spoke about the significance of the Makara Sankranti festival and the genesis of the Annual Sports and Cultural Meet. He reminded everyone that the Sankranti festival is an opportunity to make a change happen within and to move from being self-centred to God-centred.
Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai then granted His Divine message and explained the traditions of Makara Sankranti. He spoke about the importance of giving up one’s old habits and ways in order...

SATHYA SAI GRAMA, MUDDENAHALLI JANUARY 15 TO JANUARY 19, 2020
Morning
After months of practice, dedication and hard work with the aim of putting a smile on the face of their beloved Lord, all the students and staff of the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institutions gathered at the Sri Sathya Sai Samagamam stadium in the early hours of 15th January. As they slid down the ropes while performing these amazing feats, the young students displayed a great deal of courage and faith and were met with a great shower of love and blessings as they ran to the feet of their Master for a trophy and group photograph.
This was followed by a grand March Past by sixty-two contingents of students, as the stadium resounded with striking tunes played by the ‘Sai Symphony’ and ‘Sai’s Angels’ brass bands. After all the contingents...
