En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Estambul, Turquía, el 3 de abril de 2017, un devoto preguntó cómo hacer frente a los que crean miedo en nosotros.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: Si los que están gobernàndonos están creando miedo en nosotros, ¿Cómo enfrentar el desafío?

Swami: ¿Es del gobierno del que está hablando? Si esperas que el mundo sea perfecto, como quieres, no va a suceder. Si miras la historia del mundo, ha sido una historia de miedo, ansiedad y guerras, todas nacidas del egoísmo. La única esperanza para alguien en un mundo como este, es desarrollar la fe en Dios y llevar una vida sin miedo. Lo que puedas cambiar, debes esforzarte y cambiarlo. Lo que no puedas cambiar, debes desarrollar fuerza y aceptarlo, rogando a Dios que te ayude a discriminar entre lo que puedes cambiar y lo que no puedes. Cuando todas las personas se vuelven amantes, compasivas y puras, las cosas cambiarán por sí mismas, ya que hay una fuerza superior que gobierna el mundo entero. Cuando hay muchas oraciones desinteresadas, muchas personas desinteresadas, todas juntas, sus oraciones, no van a quedar sin respuesta; las cosas cambiarán y la transformación ocurrira.

Hay algo que se llama karma, acción y reacción. Esa regla reina en el universo. Hay acción y reacción individual. Usted puede ser parte de una familia, la acción combinada de una familia, tendrá su reacción. Cuando las familias se convierten en una sociedad, la acción de la sociedad tendrá una reacción en toda la sociedad. Cuando todas las sociedades se convierten en una nación, sus sentimientos combinados regirán la acción y la reacción de la nación. Cuando se habla de una nación, se habla acerca de la combinación de las acciones y reacciones de todos sus ciudadanos. Cuando más y más personas de la nación se vuelven desinteresadas, puras y compasivas, la reacción a esta situación va a cambiar de manera que las leyes superiores  automáticamente regirán las leyes locales.

Se destaca que, a medida que más y más personas desarrollan estos sentimientos de fe, compasión y bondad, ocurrirá, por sí mismos, que van a tener una reacción en términos de prosperidad, paz y seguridad en la nación. Todas estas elecciones, las guerras y las batallas son temporales, ya que ninguno de ellos es una solución permanente a la paz. La solución permanente a la paz mundial o la prosperidad de la nación reside en el carácter de sus individuos.

La historia del mundo ha sido así: a veces bien, a veces mal. Cuando se estudia la historia, se dará cuenta de que lo buena sucedió a las personas sólo cuando la mayoría de ellos eran buenos.

En cualquier situación que le rodee, si tiene fe en Dios que él está allí cuidàndolo y protegièndolo, no hay necesidad de temer. Por lo tanto, desarrollando de ese tipo de fe en Dios, va a estar libre de miedo, en todas las circunstancias. (Aplausos)

If you expect the world to be perfect as you want, it is not going to happen.

In a satsang held in the divine presence at Istanbul, Turkey, on 3 April, 2017, a devotee asked how to face those creating fear in us.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: If those who are governing us are creating fear in us, how do we face the challenge?

Swami: Is that the government you are talking about? If you expect the world to be perfect as you want, it is not going to happen. If you look at the history of the world, it has been a history of fear, anxiety and wars, all born out of selfishness. The only hope for someone in a world like this is to develop faith in God and lead a fearless life. What you can change, you must put forth effort and change. What you cannot change, you must develop strength and accept it, praying to God to help you discriminate between what you can change and what you cannot. When all people become loving, compassionate and pure, things will change on their own, for there is a higher force which governs the entire world. When there are so many selfless prayers, so many selfless people, all coming together, the prayers will not go unanswered; things will change and transformation will happen.

There is something called karma, action and reaction. That rule reigns supreme in the universe. There is individual action and reaction. You may be part of a family, so there is a combined family’s action and reaction. When the families become a society, that society’s action will have a reaction on the entire society. When all societies become a nation, their combined feelings will govern the action and reaction of the nation. When you speak about a nation, you speak about the combination of the actions and reactions of all its citizens. When more and more people of the nation become selfless, pure and compassionate, the reaction to this situation will change so that the higher laws will automatically govern the local laws.

It stands that, as more and more people develop these feelings of faith, with compassion and kindness, it will, by itself, have a reaction in terms of prosperity, peace and security in the nation. All these elections, wars and battles are temporary, as none are a permanent solution to peace. The permanent solution to world peace or the nation’s prosperity lies in the character of its individuals.

The history of the world has been like that: sometimes good, sometimes bad. When you study history, you will realise that good happened to the people only when most of them were themselves good.

In whatever situation around you, if you have faith in God that He is there looking after and protecting you, there is no need for fear. Therefore, developing that kind of faith in God, you will be free from fear in all circumstances. (Applause)
