Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust ofrece extender el Proyecto de Agua de Anantapur:
Los Consejeros del Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, solicitaron una reunión con el Ministro de Andhra Pradesh, el Sr. Kiran Kumar Reddy, y este estuvo de acuerdo en recibirlos el 31 marzo de 2012.
Un equipo de Fiduciarios del Fideicomiso Central que comprenden a Sri SV Giri, Sri V. Srinivasan, Sri TKK Bhagawat, Sri Lanka , SS Naganand , RJ Rathnakar, se reunieron con el Primer Ministro a las 5 pm, del sábado 31 marzo de 2012.
Estuvieron acompañados por Sri R. Kondal Rao, ingeniero jubilado, Asesor General y Técnico de la Gob. de Andhra Pradesh y Sri A. Ramakrishna , ex presidente de la División de Construcción de L & T.
Durante la reunión, los Consejeros ofrecieron a extender el Proyecto de Agua de Anantapur, que fue financiado originalmente por el Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust bajo la guía directa de Baba, para incluir una extensión de 118 aldeas. Lo propuesto abarcaría todas las viviendas en el antiguo Taluk Sathya Sai que cubren los tres Mandals de Bukkapatnam, Kothacheruvu y Puttapparthi. Esto permitiría el suministro de agua potable a un adicional de 1 lakh millón de personas que residen en estos pueblos.
El proyecto tiene un costo estimado Rs. 75 a 80 millones de rupias, que será financiado completamente por el Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust.
Durante la reunión, los Consejeros ofrecieron a extender el Proyecto de Agua de Anantapur, que fue financiado originalmente por el Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust bajo la guía directa de Baba, para incluir una extensión de 118 aldeas. Cabe recordar que el Proyecto de Agua de Anantapur a llevado a cabo por Baba y financiado por el Fondo en 1994, cubrió 731 aldeas del distrito de Anantapur. Esto fue seguido por otros proyectos en Medak y Mahbubnagar (noviembre de 2000), Chennai (abril de 2002) y el Este y el Oeste del Godavari (mayo 2006). Todos ellos fueron financiados por el Sathya Sai Central Trust, a un costo total de más de Rs. 650 millones de rupias y luego entregado a los gobiernos respectivos para el posterior funcionamiento y mantenimiento.
El Ministro escuchó las propuestas y expresó su agradecimiento del Gobierno, por la iniciativa tomada por el Central Trust y se comprometió a prestar todo el apoyo.

Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust offers to extend the Anantapur Water Project:
The Trustees of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust sought a meeting with the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy, and he agreed to see them on the 31st March 2012. A team of Trustees of the Central Trust comprising of Sri S.V.Giri, Sri V. Srinivasan, Sri T.K.K. Bhagawat, Sri S.S. Naganand and Sri R.J. Rathnakar, called on the Chief Minister at 5 pm on Saturday, 31st March 2012. They were accompanied by Sri R. Kondal Rao, Retired Engineer in Chief and Technical Advisor of the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Sri A. Ramakrishna, former President of L&T's Construction Division.
During the meeting the Trustees offered to extend the Anantapur Water Project, which was originally funded by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust under Baba's direct guidance, to include an additional 118 habitations.The proposed extension would cover all habitations in the old Sathya Sai Taluk covering the three Mandals of Bukkapatnam, Kothacheruvu and Puttapparthi. This would enable provision of clean drinking water to an additional 1 lakh people residing in these villages.
The project is estimated to cost Rs. 75 to 80 crore, which will be funded completely by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. The Trustees sought the approval of the Government so that they could commence a detailed investigation preliminary to execution.
It may be recalled that the Anantapur Water Project undertaken by Baba and funded by the Trust in 1994 covered 731 villages of the Anantapur District. This was followed by other projects at Medak and Mahbubnagar (November 2000), Chennai (April 2002) and East and West Godavari (May 2006). All these were funded by the Sathya Sai Central Trust at a total cost in excess of Rs. 650 crores and then handed over to the respective Sate Governments for subsequent running and maintenance.
The Chief Minister listened to the proposals and expressed the Government's appreciation at the initiative taken by the Central Trust and promised to extend all support.
