Voy a estar más cerca de ti, cuando tu sirvas a los demás y ayudes a los necesitados - Swami .


Swami nos recuerda el incidente maravilloso de que "No hay más noble cualidad que el amor en este mundo. La mayor práctica espiritual es transformar ese amor en servicio, servir y ayudar a los necesitados, Swami estará más cercano a usted cuando usted hace servicio y ayuda a los necesitados ".


Una vez los trabajadores de la Organización Seva Sri Sathya Sai,  llegaron a las afueras de un pueblo remoto maltratado, con paquetes de alimentos, medicinas, ropa y mantas. Cuando llegaron a la aldea, era pasado el mediodía y toda la zona estaba sumergida en las aguas. Todavía estaba lloviznando. Los voluntarios se situaron en la puerta, esperando que alguien se prestara a mostrarles donde estaban los sobrevivientes más necesitados de sus servicios y productos.

Por fin, algunos aldeanos les vieron y vinieron corriendo. Los voluntarios pensaban que la ayuda había llegado, y que los guiarían a donde podrían ser de mayor utilidad, pero los aldeanos comenzaron a arrebatar todo y acaparaban los elementos de rescate. Los voluntarios se quedaron estupefactos, no sabían como pacificarlos y controlarlos. Ellos se veían empapados y exhaustos.

Entonces apareció una muchacha y pacificó a los aldeanos. Ella les dijo dulcemente la necesidad de ser pacientes y disciplinados,  para que el equipo de ayuda lleve a cabo su misión. Se les permitió a los voluntarios llegar a las personas con las primeras necesidades más urgentes, tales como medicinas primeros auxilios y alimentos, y ayudar a organizar la misión de rescate completa. Cuando los habitantes del pueblo se impacientaban, hablaba unas pocas palabras amables y también dieron una mano de ayuda para la distribución de paquetes de alimentos y medicinas. Durante todo el día, ella llevó al equipo a través de los caminos fangosos e inundados, a todos los rincones donde la gente necesitaba ayuda. Ella nunca se vio cansada y su rostro estaba radiante siempre con gratitud y bondad.

El equipo Seva Dal  terminó su trabajo y se sentó para descansar un poco. De pronto, uno de los miembros del equipo Seva Dal recordó que mientras la chica les había llevado hacia todas las personas necesitadas y les ayudó a distribuir alimentos y medicinas, no había tomado ningún alimento para sí misma.

Le preguntaron por qué no había tomado ningún paquete de comida. Con indecisión, la chica dijo que su gurú le había dicho que el deber hacia los demás debe ser la principal preocupación y cuando esa obligación se cumple,  Él mismo se haría cargo de sus necesidades. Una niña pequeña,  en un estado pobre, impartía el conocimiento de las enseñanzas más elevadas, que reflejaban una fe implícita en su Gurú, y tenía al equipo inmerso en  asombro y admiración. El preguntaron por su Gurú y también quisieron saber cómo había conocido a su guru.

La niña dijo: "No he conocido ni visto siquiera a mi gurú personalmente, pero tengo su foto que me dio mi maestro que vive en un pueblo cercano."

Los miembros del equipo tenían mucha curiosidad y le preguntaron el nombre de su guru. "Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba", fue la respuesta. "Yo soy una estudiante de Bal Vikas," dijo ella con una voz empapada en reverencia y orgullo.

Cada uno de los miembros del Seva Dal derramaron lagrimas de felicidad.

I will be closest to you when you serve others and help the needy - Swami.



Swami reminds us from the below wonderful incident that " There is no other quality nobler than Love in this world. The highest spiritual practice is to transform this love into service, Serve and help the Needy, Swami will be closest to you when you do Service and help the Needy" .


Once the Seva workers of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization reached the outskirts of a remote battered village with packets of food, medicine, clothes and blankets. When they arrived at the village, it was past noon and the entire area was submerged. It was still drizzling. The volunteers stood at the gate hoping someone would come forward to show them where the survivors were most in need of their services and goods.

Finally, some villagers saw them and came running. The volunteers thought that help had come and they would be directed to where they could be of the most use, but the villagers began snatching and grabbing the rescue items. The volunteers stood there dumbstruck not knowing whom to pacify and whom to control. They were themselves drenched and exhausted.

Then a Girl appeared and pacified the villagers. She told them sweetly the necessity of being patient and disciplined and to allow the helping team to carry out their mission. She enabled the volunteers to reach those with the most urgent needs first, such as first aid, medicine and food, and helped organize the entire rescue mission. When the villagers became impatient, she spoke a few kind words and also lent a helping hand in the distribution of food packets and medicine. Throughout the day, she led the team through the muddy and flooded roads to every nook and corner where people were who required help. She never looked tired and her face was always radiating with gratitude and loving-kindness.

The Seva Dal team finished their work and sat down for some rest. Suddenly one of the Seva Dal team members recollected that while the girl had taken them to all the needy people and helped them distribute food and medicine she had not taken any food for herself.

They asked her why she had not taken any food packet. Hesitatingly, the girl said that her GURU had told her that duty towards others should be the prime concern and when that duty is fulfilled He himself will take care of their needs. Such a small girl, staying in a poor condition and imparting the knowledge of the highest teachings reflecting implicit faith in her Guru held the team in awe and admiration. They inquired about the Guru and also wanted to know how she had met her guru.

The girl said, "I have not met or even seen my guru personally but I have his photo given to me by my teacher who stays in the nearby town."

The team members got more curious and asked her the name of her guru. "Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba," came the prompt reply. "I am a Bal Vikas student," she said further with a voice soaked in reverence and pride.

Everyone of the Seva Dal members were in Tears.
