Dieciocho pueblos de Puttaparthi  fueron cubiertos por los estudiantes hoy, y aún llegan más y más devotos a Prashanti Nilayam para presenciar el diario Veda Purusha Yajnam Jnana Saptaha,  que ya entró en su cuarto día.

Esta noche, el programa se inició a las 16:30hrs, con el canto de los Vedas por los estudiantes de la Universidad de Brindavan . 

Sri Aman Jhaveri presentó a los oradores del día, Sri Rishabh Sachdeva, un estudiante de MBA de fin de carrera y el profesor Anantaraman , de la universidad y coordinador de los medios de comunicación de la fundación.





Sri Rishabh dijo que el hombre tiene un deseo fundamental de crecer, de ampliar, y explorar,  para mejorar, o en otras palabras, no se detienen. 

Citando la famosa frase de Bhagaván, "La vida es un reto, enfrentalo", dijo el estudiante que la única manera de hacerlo es a través de la entrega. 

Para enfatizar el punto,  narra la experiencia de su propia madre y las penalidades que tuvo que pasar, entregando todo a  Bhagavan .





El Prof. Anantaraman hablo sobre el tema, "nuestras vidas es su mensaje", figuran las dos principales características del Avatar de la época en sus 40 años de relacion con él. La primera, su Vajra Sankalpa o voluntad cósmica y la segunda su desapego absoluto. 

Allá por el año 1947 en una carta a su hermano, Bhagavan describe su misión y que tenía que hacerse realidad. Cada acto de su misión era perfecto. El sistema universitario convencional de Bhagavan fue calificado como la Joya de la Educación por los Organismos Nacionales de Acreditación. Sus hospitales proveen cuidado de tercer nivel absolutamente libre de costo y la lista sigue. 

Ahora, el profesor  dijo que es el momento para que nosotros  llevemos su legado de vida, para que el mundo recuerde a Bhagavan sobre la base de lo que hacen sus devotos por su inspiración divina.





Los discursos fueron seguidos por extractos de discursos Divinos de Bhagavan. 

Bhagavan a través de muchas analogías y parábolas, transmitió la importancia de la buena compañía. El discurso concluyó con el Bhajan, "Subramanium Subramanium ..." en la dulce voz de Bhagavan.





Siguió un clásico Carnatic y concierto Hindustani por el personal y los estudiantes de Sri Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music, titulado "Sai Naada Narayani". 

Los estudiantes comenzaron con los temas en Carnatic, "Vara Valabha Ramana" y "Devi Neeya Thunai", seguido de una pieza instrumental con la Veena como  instrumento central. 

A continuación fue el turno de los estudiantes de música indostaní, que mostraron sus habilidades a través de un Tarana y una canción, "Jai Jai Jai Janani Jaga Devi". 

El programa concluyó con una actuación estupenda Carnatic, por un miembro de la universidad.


Los estudiantes continuaron con bhajans mientras Prasadam se distribuyó a todos. El Arati se ofreció a las 18:40 hrs.

Eighteen villages of Puttaparthi mandal was covered by students today even as more and more devotees throng Prasanthi Nilayam to witness the daily Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajnam as it entered its fourth day.


This evening the programme started at 1630hrs with Vedam chanting by the students of the Brindavan Campus of the University. Sri Aman Jhaveri introduced the speakers of the day, Sri Rishabh Sachdeva, a final year MBA student and Prof. Anantaraman, faculty of the university and media coordinator of the trust.





Sri Rishabh said that man has a fundamental desire to grow, to expand, to explore and to improve or in other words not to stagnate. Quoting Bhagawan's famous phrase, "LIfe is a Challenge - Meet it", the student said that the only way to do that is through surrender. To emphasise the point he narrated the experience of his own mother and the various travails she went through only to pulled out by Bhagawan every time.





Prof. Anantaraman speaking on the theme, "Our Lives, His message", listed the two main characteristics of the Avatar of the age in his 40 years of association with Him. The first, His Vajra Sankalpa or Cosmic Will and second His Absolute Detachment. Way back in 1947 in a letter to His brother, Bhagawan outlined His Mission and it had to come true. Every deed of His was perfect. The unconvetional university system of Bhagawan was rated as the Crest Jewel of University Education by the National Accreditation Bodies. His Hospitals provide tertiary level care absolutely free of cost and the list goes on. Now, the learned professer, said is the time for us to carry His living legacy as the world will remember Bhagawan based on what his devotees do by His Divine Inspiration.





The speeches was followed by excerpts from Divine Discourses of Bhagawan. Bhagawan through many analogies and parables, conveyed the importance of good company. The Discourse concluded with the Bhajan, "Subramanium Subramanium..." in the sweet voice of Bhagawan.





A classical Carnatic and Hindustani concert by the staff and students of Sri Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music titled, "Sai Naada Narayani" followed. The students started with the carnatic recitals, "Vara Valabha Ramana" and "Devi Neeya Thunai", followed by an instrumental piece with the Veena being the central instrument. Next it was the turn of the students of Hindustani music to display their skills through a Tarana and a song, "Jai Jai Jai Jaga Janani Devi". The programme concluded with a stupendous carnatic performance by a faculty member of the college.


The students continued with Bhajans while Prasadam was distributed to all. Arati was offered at 1840hrs.

La gracia del Veda Purusha Sapthaha Gyana Yajnam en el Salón  Poornachandra, entro en el tercer día de 07:00hrs a 12:00hrs. 

15 pueblos de la Mandal Bukkapatnam fueron cubiertos por los estudiantes en el día hoy. Los habitantes del pueblo dieron la bienvenida a los estudiantes con cantos y carteles sobre Bhagavan. Sillas con fotografías de Bhagavan, adornaron muchas calles, presidiendo la distribución. Los niños de las aldeas tuvieron un gran momento, ya que fue un día de fiesta para ellos. Los gritos de "Sai Ram" en las dulces voces de los niños, inspiró a los estudiantes con vigor.



El  Grama Seva comenzó con Nagarasankirtan( bhajans en procesión) en el que los pequeñitos se unieron a los estudiantes con todo entusiasmo. 

Con gran humildad los habitantes del pueblo aceptaron  prasadam y ropas, con el completo entendimiento de que ha salido de su propia madre. 

Los estudiantes aprendieron muchas lecciones importantes acerca de la hospitalidad de los pueblos de la India. Jóvenes y viejos por igual saludaron y despidieron a las camionetas como correos de su Señor, para pedirles que vuelvan el próximo año.



Por la tarde se inició el procedimiento a las 16:30 hrs con la recitación Vedica por los estudiantes del Instituto. 

Sri Shah Shashank hablo de la gloria de la madre y la verdad eterna, Sathya Mata, y presentó a los oradores del día.

Kumari Lalitha Sarma, una estudiante de Maestría en Filosofía en Inglés de la Universidad de Anantapur,  habló sobre el tema, "El aprendizaje a los pies de loto de Bhagavan". 

Comenzó  la charla con el verso inicial de Soundarya Lahari, habló de Yajna(sacrificio) y el desapego desarrollado en el verso, "esto no es mío". 

Ella nos advirtió contra la ilusión de que tenemos alguna contribución a la Misión de Sai. 

Ella dijo, la Misión de Sai contribuye a nuestra Shudhi Chitta o  purificación de la inteligencia. Citando el Geetanajali Upanishads  de Tagore, dijo que Bhagavan no sólo satisface nuestro hambre físico, sino también nuestro hambre espiritual. 

Terminó la charla con sus experiencias con Bhagavan como jugador Nadaswaram.



Sri Sai Giridhar Sairam, becario de investigación del doctorado en Química, ha tenido el privilegio de hablar delante de Bhagavan en muchas ocasiones. En una ocasión anterior, cuando Bhagavan habló a través de él, el estudiante dijo que el Señor lo bendijo con un anillo,  hablo de las 4S que Bhagavan amplio ", Salokyam Sarupyam Samipyam Sayujyam". 

-Salokyam o residentes en la divina morada de Prashanti Nilayam, dijo, es una rara oportunidad para los que hemos sido bendecidos con esta experiencia. 

-Sarupyam o tengan la misma forma del Señor , se obtiene siguiendo sus huellas y haciendo lo que haría EL . 

-Samipyam , se gana por la entrega y aceptación de que todo es por su voluntad. 

-Finalmente Sayujyam o fusión con el Señor, lo explica Bhagavan  a un estudiante. "Yo no soy este cuerpo. Yo no soy esta mente. Entonces, ¿dónde está la verdad?" 

El estudiante más expuesto al "yo" añade a "Sai" o la divinidad,  Sai  por lo tanto es nuestra verdadera identidad.

Las conversaciones de los estudiantes fue seguida por extractos de un Discurso Divino, donde expone Bhagavan, "Sigan el corazón ya que es la voz de la conciencia. Bhagavan explicó además la forma de pagar impuestos al  Señor a quien todo le pertenece. Pidiendo a todos que unan sus manos en sintonía con el ritmo, termino con el Bhajans cantado por Bhagavan , "Madhura Madhura Murali ..."



Continuo con música interpretada por los estudiantes del campus de la Universidad de Anantapur.

Las canciones fueron compuestas y presentadas por los propios alumnos. Antes del inicio del programa, los estudiantes presentaron una Golu miniatura a Bhagaván y tomaron sus bendiciones para Navarathri.



Los estudiantes comenzaron el programa con la canción "Saieshwaraya Sri ..." en sánscrito para ser seguido por una canción en Telugu y Hindi y ser seguidas por una canción multilingüe. 

Mostrando su experiencia Carnatic,  luego cantó una Thillana, antes de concluir con una pieza occidental. 

El programa fue seguido por bhajans y el Arati. Prasadam se distribuyó a todos.

The Veda Purusha Sapthaha Gyana Yajnam graced for the Poornachandra Hall for the third day from 0700hrs to 1200hrs. 15 villages of the Bukkapatnam Mandal were covered by students today. The villagers welcomed the students with thoranams and banners of Bhagawan. Chairs with Bhagawan's photographs graced many streets and presided over the distribution. Children of the villages had a great time as this was a day of festivity for them. Shouts of "Sai Ram" from the sweet voices of the kids, inspired the students with vigor.



The Grama Seva started with Nagarasankirtan in which the tiny tots joined the students with all enthusiasm. With great humility and grace the villagers accepted Prasadam and clothes with the complete understanding that it has come from their Own Mother. The students learned many important lessons about the hospitality of the Indian Villages. Young and old alike waved at the vans bidding adieu to the couriers of their Lord to welcome them again next year.



In the evening the proceedings began at 1630hrs with Veda recitation by Institute students. Sri Shashank Shah speaking on the glory of the mother and the eternal true mother, Sathya Mata, introduced the speakers of the day.

Kumari Lalitha Sarma, an M.Phil student in English from the Anantapur Campus of the University spoke on the theme, "Learning at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan". Beginning the talk with the starting verse of Soundarya Lahari, she spoke of Yajna and the detachment developed by that with the verse, "This is not Mine". She warned us against the delusion that we have any contribution to the Sai Mission. She said, the Sai Mission contributes to our Chitta Shudhi or purification of the intellect. Quoting from the Upanishads and Tagore's Geetanajali, she said that Bhagawan not only satisfies our physical hunger but also our spiritual hunger. She ended the talk on a personal note with her experiences with Bhagawan as a Nadaswaram player.



Sri Sai Giridhar SaiRam, a doctoral research scholar in Chemistry has had the unique privilege of speaking in front of Bhagawan on many occasions. On a previous occasion when Bhagawan spoke through him, the student said that The Lord blessed him with a ring that had 4S's which Bhagawan expanded to theme, "Salokyam Sarupyam Samipyam Sayujyam". Salokyam or residing in the Divine Abode of Prasanthi Nilayam he said is a rare chance that we are blessed with experiencing. Sarupyam or having the same form of the Lord is gained by following His footsteps and doing what He would do. Samipyam or nearness and dearness to Him is gained by surrender and accepting everything as His will. Finally Sayujyam or merger with the Lord was explained by Bhagawan Himself to the student. "I am not this body. I am not this Mind. Then where is the place for I?" The student further expounded when "I" is added to "Sa" or divinity, we get Sai and therefore Sai is our very own identity.

The talks of the students was followed by excerpts from the Divine Discourse where Bhagawan expounds, " Follow the heart as it is the voice of the conscience. Bhagawan further explained how to pay tax to the Lord to whom everything belongs. Asking everyone to bring the hands together in tune with the beat, Bhagawan sang, "Madhura Madhura Murali..."



Music by students from the Anantapur Campus of the University was the next programme in the agenda. The songs were composed and rendered by the students themselves. Before the beginning of the programme, the students presented a miniature Golu to Bhagawan and took his blessings for Navarathri.



With concise introductions in chaste English, the students started the programme with the song, "Sri Saieshwaraya..." in Sanskrit to be followed by a Telugu and Hindi song to be followed by a multilingual song. Showing their Carnatic expertise, they then sang a thillana before concluding with a western piece. The programme was followed by Bhajans and Arati. 0rasadam was distributed to all.

LA HISTORIA DETRÁS DE ESTA HISTORIA _by  Bombay Srinivasan 

Fue la última oportunidad para mí de hablar con mi Señor!!

Al final resultó ser cierta. Hace dos años, fui elegido por Sri Srinivasan Chettiar, Presidente de Sri Sai padhuga Trust, para supervisar el trabajo de fijación de oro en el Dharmakshethra. 

Después de terminar el trabajo, Swami pasó a visitar el Dharmakshethra, en Mumbai, después de los programas Divinos en Hatshi, cerca de Pune.

En esta foto se ve a Swami escuchar mi informe sobre el trabajo. Sri Nimish Pandya, Presidente de la Org. del Distrito de Mumbai, y también miembro del consejo de Maharashtra , me presentaba a Swami!! , Y también el trabajo realizado por mí en Dharmakshethra.
Swami después me premio con dones divinos para mí y mis pintores artista.

Yo nunca pensé,  que esta era mi última oportunidad para recibir la gracia y los regalos de mi amado Señor.

STORY BEHIND THIS STORY _ by  Bombay Srinivasan 

Was this a Final chance for me to speak to my Lord!!!!

Ultimately it proved to be true. Two years ago, I was ordained by Sri Srinivasan Chettiar, President of Sri SaI padhuga Trust, to oversee the gold fixing job in Dharmakshethra. After finishing the Job, Swami happened to visit Dharmakshethra, Mumbai, after Divine programmes in Hatshi, near Pune.

In this photo swami is seen listening to my report on the job. Sri Nimish Pandya, District Presdient of Mumbai Orgnaization, and also a Trustee of Maharashtra trust, introducing me, to Swami!!!! , and also the work done by me in Dharmakshethra.

Afterwards Swami presented me with divine gifts to me and my artist painters.
I never knew that this wass my last chance to receive grace & gifts from my Dear Lord.

El segundo día del Veda Purusha Sapthaha continuó con todo lo auspicioso en el Salón de Poornachandra desde las 07:00hrs hasta las 12:00hrs. 

Los estudiantes en un Yajna Prema (sacrificio de amor), continuaron con el Grama Seva( servicio a los nesecitados),  hoy recorrerán 20 aldeas en Bukkapatnam Mandal.



Los dos disertantes de la jornada fueron Sri Saurabh Kumar, un estudiante de B. Comisión de la Campus Brindavan de la Universidad , y el Dr. PL Rani,  profesor de Inglés en el Campus de Anantapur. 

Sri Saurab habló sobre los 9 caminos de la devoción y la forma como Bhagavan ha tejido todas ellos, para que los estudiantes de su universidad puedan elegir el más cercana al Señor.

La Dr. Rani,  comenzó con una expresión de inmensa gratitud al Señor, dijo, con el énfasis de la experiencia personal, que Bhagavan es una presencia viva y no sólo un recuerdo. 

Habló sobre el tema, las tres S. La tres  S  dijo,  representan Sri Sathya Sai, su respuesta de Sí, Sí, Sí, como reflejo, la reacción y la resonancia y su historia de vida Sathyam, Sivam, Sundaram. Cuando se aplica a la vida de un estudiante, durante Navarathri, se transforma en servicio (Grama Seva), Sacrificio (Yajna Veda Purusha) y Satsang (Prasanthi Vidwan Mahasabha).



Al final de las conversaciones anteriores, se recordaron y escucharon  extractos del discurso de Bhagavan en el 21 de octubre 2001, done hizo hincapié en la necesidad de que los niños aprendan las historias de la rica cultura de la India . 

Resalto el  abismo de diferencia entre el saber antiguo y actual de la educación, mediante la comparación del primer aprendizaje de los niños. En la antigua India comenzaban con "Aum Namah Sivaya" y "Aum Namo Narayanaya", y en los tiempos modernos se inicia con 'Bell Ding Dong,  etc ". 

Bhagavan dijo que tenía altas expectativas de sus estudiantes para revivir la antigua cultura india. Bhagavan vino a explicar el significado de la cultura y la resumió como la vida es la cultura del carácter . 

Bhagavan concluyó el discurso con el Bhajan, "Prema Mudhitha MAN SE Kaho ..."



El discurso fue seguido por un programa de música por los estudiantes del Campus de la Universidad Brindavan titulado, "Prema Amrutham". 

Intercalados con las oraciones de los estudiantes, comenzó el programa con una versión a el Señor Ganesha, seguido de una canción ha su Bhagavan Amado, "Parthipuri Vihari". 

Una melodía suave "Giridhara Naagara", siguio a continuación. El punto culminante del programa fue la canción "Maa Durge ..."canción con una mezcla perfecta  de swaras. 

El concierto concluyó con una Qawwali, "Tere Darbar Mein Hum Hain Aaye Aaj". 

Los estudiantes continuaron con los bhajans mientras Prasadam se distribuyó a todos. El Arati se ofreció a las 18:30hrs.

The second day of the Veda Purusha Sapthaha continued with all auspiciousness in the Poornachandra Hall from 0700hrs to 1200hrs. The students on a Prema Yajna of their own, continued the Grama Seva today covering 20 villages in Bukkapatnam Mandal.



The two speakers of the day were Sri Saurabh Kumar, a student of B. Com from the Brindavan Campus of the University and Dr. P.L. Rani, Asst. Prof of English in Anantapur Campus. Sri Saurab spoke on the 9 paths of Devotion and how Bhagawan has weaved all of them into the schedule of the students of His University so that the individual student me choose the one which takes him/her closest to The Lord.



Dr. Rani who started with an expression of her immense gratitude of the Lord, stated with the emphasis of personal experience, that Bhagawan is a living presence and not merely a memory. She spoke on the topic, the three S. The three S she said stands for Sri Sathya Sai, his response of Yes, Yes, Yes as reflection, reaction and resound and his life story Sathyam, Sivam, Sundaram. When applied to the life of a student during Navarathri , it transforms into Service (Grama Seva), Sacrifice( Veda Purusha Yajna) and Satsang (Prasanthi Vidwan Mahasabha).



At the end of the above talks, excerpts from Bhagawan's discourse on 21st Oct 2001 was played where in the Lord emphasised the need for children to learn the stories from India's rich culture and history. He provided the chasm of difference between the ancient learning and current education by comparing the first learning of the children. In ancient India it started with 'Aum Namah Sivaya' and 'Aum Namo Narayanaya' where as in modern times it starts with 'Ding Dong Bell, Pussy is in the Well'. Bhagawan said that He had high expectations from His students to revive the Ancient Indian Culture. Bhagawan went on the explain the meaning of culture and summarised it as Leading a Life of Character is Culture. Bhagawan ended the discourse with the Bhajan, "Prema Mudhitha Man Se Kaho..."



The discourse was followed by a music programme by the students of the Brindavan Campus of the University titled, "Prema Amrutham". Interspersed with prayers the students started the programme with a rendition on Lord Ganesha, followed by a song on their Beloved Bhagawan, "Parthipuri Vihari". A soft melody "Giridhara Naagara" followed next. The high point of the programme was the song "Durge Maa..." song with a perfect inter blending of swaras. The concert concluded with a Qawwali, "Tere Darbar Mein Hum Aaye Hain Aaj". The students continued with Bhajans while Prasadam was distributed to all. Arati was offered at 1830hrs.

Hoy fue un día histórico en Prashanti Nilayam. Hoy completamos 50 años de oro desde el primer Veda Purusha Saptaha Gyana Yajna que se llevó a cabo en la Divina Presencia física de Bhagavan en Prashanti Nilayam en la Navaratri de 1961. Los ritwiks (sacerdotes) se reunieron a las 07:00 hrs en el Mandir Bhajan del Sai Kulwant Hall. 

Después de los cantos preliminares aceptaron diksha vastram (ropa) de los ancianos del Ashram y la invocación de las bendiciones de Bhagavan a cambiado por las misma. El Kalasam fue llevado en procesión a la sala del Poorna Chandra, donde se ha instalo en el extremo occidental de la tarima. 

Una especial recitación de Archana Kumkum junto con Lalitha Sahasranama Parayanam fue iniciada por el sacerdote en jefe y su esposa.



En el Auditorio Poornachandra la tarima fue apropiada y magníficamente decorada, para un evento tan solemne. Un trono de plata grande para Bhagavan, que el Señor ha bendecido durante las muchas celebraciones de cumpleaños, presidió el escenario en el lado izquierdo. 

Una gran foto de Bhagavan con su sonrisa más benigna, adornaban el lado derecho del escenario. 

Las estatuas de Sita, Rama, y Lakshmana, estaban a disposición de todos a la izquierda del escenario, como protección contra el Sthala Yajna (6 enemigos de la mente): El deseo, la ira, la lujuria, la codicia, el apego y el ego. 

La etapa siguio con la Kunda Yajna (foso del sacrificio), fue preparado de acuerdo con los mandatos y los estudiantes vestidos de naranja cantaron los Vedas.



Con Bhagavan presidiendo la sesión, los sacerdotes encendieron la Homam sagrada, creando fuego por fricción, frotando dos palos de madera. El fuego se produjo y fue depositado en el foso del sacrificio sagrado, que marca el comienzo del Yajna. Pronto comenzaron otros rituales. Un sacerdote hizo Surya Namaskar, un grupo de sacerdotes se comprometieron en Parayanam (la lectura de las Sagradas Escrituras). El Mantra Pushpam  fue cantado por los estudiantes antes de que el Arati se ofreciera a las 09:30hrs. Después de el Arati, los devotos se alinearon en el Sai Kulwant Hall para el Darshan de cierre en el Sancta Sanctorum y los estudiantes continuaron con su Grama Seva en las Villas de Puttaparthi, que serán beneficiarias en esta oportunidad.

El programa de la noche comenzó a las 16:30 hrs, con los Cantos  Vedicos por los niños de primaria. 

Sri Shashank Shah introdujo el Prashanti Vidwan Mahasabha que ha llevado a cabo todas las noches durante el Yajnam de las últimas cinco décadas. 

Navaratri es la fiesta de la victoria, de la energía (Shakti) adorando y celebrando las tres formas durante 3 días cada una. 

La ira, la aventura y audacia (Tamas) dedicada a Mahakali. 

Riqueza, autoridad y la prosperidad (Rajas), dedicada a Mahalakshmi. 

Auto-control, conocimiento y disciplina (Satwa) dedicada a Maha Saraswati.

Por la Resolución Avatárica de los Vedas y  los eruditos, por la Protección de la Justicia, y  de los devotos, se hace este santo yajna , dijo el orador . 

Al término de la primera Saptah Veda Purusha, Sri Ganapathi Sastri,  expuso cada sílaba de los Vedas, declaró que no había tenido el privilegio de presenciar un Yajna , que podrían pasar las pruebas más rigurosas de las antiguas escrituras indias y tradicionales, al tiempo citando mantras védicos en apoyo de los actos causales de Bhagavan Baba y declaró que era el Purusha Veda.



Sri Jagadish Chandra, Profesor del Departamento de Física habló sobre un tema interesante, "un acuerdo con la Divinidad". Recordó los acuerdos entre el jóven Krishna y el vendedor de frutas, entre Bhagavan y el profesor Kasturi,  y dijo que Dios es Él único. Aquellos que cree en mí, no sólo contarán con los alimentos, sino también con Bendiciones, citó  Bhagavan. Toma el nombre de Sai una vez y todo se logrará, aconsejó.



Sri Nagarjuna, estudiante de 2 do año MBA,  habló sobre la importancia del Festival de Navaratri en nuestras vidas. El punto culminante de su discurso fue una hermosa anécdota de Bhagavan. Una persona que llevaba un pesado fardo en la cabeza se mete en un tren y  habiendo tomado su asiento sigue llevando el paquete. Al ser interrogado, responde que, dado que el tren ya está llevando tanto peso, el quiere ayudar a llevar su propia carga. Del mismo modo ridículo, dijo Bhagavan es el destino del hombre que no se rinde.

Según la tradición, los discursos fueron seguidos por el discurso Divino de Bhagavan. Extractos del discurso del 20 de Oct de 2001, donde da el verdadero significado interior del Navaratri, el propósito de la adoración de la Madre Durga, Lakshmi y Saraswati y el mensaje sobre la importancia de la moralidad en la vida humana.



El programa fue seguido por Baul Sangeet, interpretando  canciones típicas de la gente rural de Bengala, que  derivan de canciones devocionales del hinduismo, el sufismo y el budismo. 

Sus himnos son lecciones de las prácticas espirituales en la vida cotidiana. 

Sri Purna Das Baul un cantante famoso del mundo Baul , actuó con su hijo Sri Bibyendu Das Baul; tiempo atrás interpreto frente a Bhagavan , mas precisamente en noviembre 1975, durante la celebración del cumpleaños 50 º de Bhagavan , en donde lo bendijo con un medallón, que hoy lleva puesto  en  este día.  

El programa fue seguido por bhajans. Los artistas fueron premiados con regalos. La sesión del día concluyó a las 18:30 hrs.

Today was a historic day in Prasanthi Nilayam. Today we complete 50 golden years since the first Veda Purusha Saptaha Gyana Yajna was performed in Bhagawan's Divine Physical Presence at Prasanthi Nilayam in the Navaratri of 1961. The ritwiks assembled at 0700hrs in the Bhajan Mandir of Sai Kulwant Hall. After the preliminary chants they accepted diksha vastram (new clothes) from the Ashram elders and invoking the blessings of Bhagawan changed into the same. The Kalasam was then taken in a procession to the Poorna Chandra hall where it was installed on the western end of the dais,. A special Kumkum Archana along with Lalitha Sahasranama Parayanam was commenced by the Head Priest and his wife.



At the venue in Poornachandra Auditorium the dais was most magnificently adorned fitting for such a solemn event. A large silver throne of Bhagawan which the Lord has blessed during many birthday celebrations presided over the stage on the left side. A large picture of Bhagawan with His most benign smile adorned the right side of the stage. Statues of Rama Lakshmana Sita stood in all readiness to the left of the stage as if guarding the Yajna Sthala against the 6 enemies of the mind: Desire, Anger, Lust, Greed, Attachment and Ego. The stage had the Yajna Kunda (Sacrificial Pit) prepared as per the injunctions and students dressed in orange chanting Vedam.



With Bhagawan presiding over the session, the priests lit the sacred homam creating fire by friction, by rubbing two sticks from churning of two wooden pieces. The fire produced was deposited in the sacred sacrificial pit, marking the beginning of the Yajna. Soon other rituals commenced. As one priest went on doing Surya Namaskar, a group of priests got engaged in Parayanam, reading of holy scriptures. Mantra Pushpam was chanted by students before Arati was offered at 0930hrs. After the Arati, the devotees lined up in Sai Kulwant Hall for close Darshan of the Sanctum Sanctorum and the students continued their Grama Seva with Puttaparthi Village being the beneficiary today.

The evening programme commenced at 1630hrs with Veda Chanting by Primary School Children. Sri Shashank Shah introduced the Prasanthi Vidwan Mahasabha which has been conducted every evening during the Yajnam for the last five decades. Navaratri is a festival of victory, of Power (Shakti) adored and celebrated in 3 forms for 3 days each. Anger, Adventure and Audacity (Tamas) dedicated to Mahakali; Wealth, Authority and Prosperity (Rajas) dedicated to Mahalakshmi; Self-Control, Knowledge and Discipline (Satwa) dedicated to Maha Saraswati.

The Avataric Resolve of Nurturing the Vedas and the Scholars, Protection of the Righteousness and the Devout lead to the formation of this holy yajna, said the learned speaker. At the conclusion of the very first Veda Purusha Saptah, Sri Ganapathi Sastri who could expound every syllable of the Vedas stated that he had not had the privilege of witnessing such a scrupulously correct Yajna, which could pass the most rigorous tests of ancient Indian scriptures and traditions while quoting Vedic Mantras in support of what looked like casual acts of Bhagawan and declared that Baba was the Veda Purusha.



Sri Jagadish Chandra, Asst. Prof, Dept of Physics spoke on the interesting topic, 'A Deal with Divinity'. He recalled the deals between Young Krishna and the fruit seller, between Bhagawan and Prof. Kasturi and said that God is the best one to have a deal with since He is the only one who roots for us to get the best of the deal. Those who believe in Me, will not only be provided with food but also with Bliss, he quoted Bhagawan. Take the name of Sai once and everything will be achieved, he advised.



Sri Nagarjuna, student of II year MBA spoke on the significance of Navaratri Festival in our lives. The highlight of his speech was a beautiful anecdote of Bhagawan. A person carrying a heavy bundle on his head gets into a train and having taken his seat continues to carry the bundle. When questioned he replies that since the train is already carrying so much weight, he wants to help by carrying his own burden. Similarly ridiculous, Bhagawan said is the fate of man who does not surrender.

As per tradition, the speeches was followed by Bhagawan's Divine Discourse. Excerpts from the Discourse on Oct 20, 2001 where He gives the true inner significance of Navaratri, the purpose of worship of Mother Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati and the message on the importance of Morality in Human Life.



The programme was followed by Baul Sangeet, typical folk songs of Rural Bengal which derives devotional inputs of Hinduism, Sufism and Buddhism. Its hymns give the lessons of spiritual practices in daily life. Sri Purna Das Baul a world famous Baul singer has performed in front of Bhagawan on Nov 1975 during the celebrations of the 50th year of Divine Advent where in Bhagawan blessed him with a locket which he wears to this day. He performed with his son Sri Bibyendu Das Baul. The programme was followed by Bhajans. The artistes were honoured with gifts. The day's session concluded with !rati at 1830hrs.
