LEYENDA DE AMOR, EL LEGADO DE VIDA.
- Un especial de 30 episodios documental de Radio Sai
20 de octubre 1940. Fue un día como hoy, hace setenta años, que Bhagavan Baba dio a conocer el
misterio que rodeaba su nacimiento, vida y misión. Declaró a la gente cercana, y ha través de ellos a toda
la humanidad, que de hecho es la Conciencia Suprema encarnada en una forma diminuta y encantadora.
"Ya no soy tu Sathya, soy Sai ... yo tengo mi trabajo, mis devotos me están llamando ...",.... anunció
abiertamente ese día.
Desde entonces, este depósito eterno de la energía y la empatía, esperanza y felicidad, consuelo y socorro,
de luz y amor, nos ha alimentado y nutrido, y aseguró que la pequeña semilla de bondad latente dentro de
cada individuo, se convierte en un gigantesco árbol de amor y serenidad.
Y al igual que un maestro perfecto, Él lo ha demostrado, por vivir ese principio, en todos los
momentos de su propia vida. El resultado es un legado que continuará luminiscente, para iluminar los
oscuros callejones de la conciencia colectiva de la humanidad, elevándola a un estado de sublimidad
absoluta para las generaciones venideras.
"Legenda de amor - Legados de vida" busca captar algunos aspectos destacados más importantes de esta
saga gloriosa de amor puro. Este documental de Radio Sai de 30 episodios, se inicia el 20 de octubre de
2010 en Radio Sai, para continuar diariamente hasta noviembre 19, 2010.

Vamos a sumergirnos en la historia de su gloria, y más importante, procurar que nuestras pequeñas vidas
brillen con el resplandor sagrado de la pureza, la nobleza y compasión genuina.
Episodio 1:Nacimiento.
En 1926, en la pequeña aldea de Puttaparthi, una mujer se dirigía a recoger el agua en el pozo.
A medida que sacaba agua, una gran bola de luz azul se dirigió directamente hacia ella y se fusionó en su ser. Ella se asustó tanto de este fenómeno que se desmayó y se cayó.
Lo ocurrido en ese momento fue muy significativo la forma del Señor, había entrado en su
vientre. La mujer fue Ishvaramma - un nombre destinado a ser estimado por millones en todo
el mundo, como el que dio a luz a la vida al Avatar. Esta es la historia de la llegada del Señor, en la forma
humana , hace 85 años, encarnó en un pequeño y tranquilo pueblo llamado Puttaparthi.
La familia bendecida:
Su abuelo, Kondamma Raju, era experto en música y teatro, y podía recitar de memoria la
epopeya entera del Ramayana en forma de canciones. Él era un vegetariano estricto, inclinado a observar
todos los dogmas sagrados del calendario hindú. Su esposa, Lakshmamma, también era muy piadosa, su
vida está dictada por los ayunos, votos y vigilias, decidida a invocar las bendiciones de las fuerzas
divinas.
De la pareja dos hijos heredaron el talento de su padre por la música y el teatro. Namagiriamma fue dada en matrimonio a el anciano, Pedda Venkappa Raju. Guiados por un sueño, Kondamma
Raju cambio el nombre de su esposa por el de Ishvaramma.
Ishvaramma - La Madre de Dios.
¿Como sabemos que fue la mujer elegida por la conciencia divina suprema, para su descenso en
forma humana?
La Madre Ishvaramma nació en circunstancias modestas en zonas remotas y rurales de la India,
durante el dominio británico, en la última década del siglo 19. Encerrada en su pequeño mundo de
atender a las necesidades de su familia, vivió una vida piadosa y en un pueblo aislado, sin acceso al
mundo exterior. En un Discurso Divino en el Día de Ishvaramma en el año 2000, Baba dijo:
" Ishvaramma nació en una familia tan pobre que ni siquiera tienen la alimentación adecuada para
comer. Todo lo que comía era ragi sankati (gachas preparadas a partir de un grano, por
supuesto). Ella era analfabeta. Cuando veo la actitud egoísta, la perversa mentalidad y el
comportamiento prepotente en los días presentes , creo que era mejor que Ishvaramma no tuviera
ningún tipo de educación. " modesta, humilde y pura, era la persona calificada para el más raro
de los honores, ella estaba en la talla de Kaushalya, Devaki, Yashoda y la Madre María.
Así fue que el Divino decidió descender y escogió el vientre de la Madre Ishvaramma para su
morada temporal. Incluso antes de su nacimiento, la Madre Ishvaramma sabía que el niño que ella
daría a luz no sería un mortal común y corriente. En el momento que la misteriosa luz entró en su
útero, los instrumentos musicales, como una gran tamboura y un tambor Maddala vibraba y
sonaron como si lo tocaran manos expertas. Cuando el padre Pedda Venkapa preguntó
sobre el extraño suceso, un brahmán interpreto el signo musical como un poder benéfico, que
confieren la armonía, la melodía, el orden, la simetría, la elevación espiritual y la alegría.
El Señor llega.
El 23 de noviembre de 1926, Ishvaramma acababa de terminar su estricta observancia religiosa a
su nombre escogido de Dios, Narayana, cuando los dolores de parto comenzaron. Lamaron a
la suegra , Lakshamma, que estaba en la casa del sacerdote para llevar a cabo su Puja
a Sathyanarayana. Lakshamma se negó a apresurarse, sino que espero para recoger las ofrendas
de alimentos y agua santificada, para llevárselas a su nuera, que Ishvaramma acepto y
disfruto.
En poco tiempo el Señor nació y salió el sol sobre el horizonte. Sathya El bebé al parecer no lloro.
y se alarmaron pensando que el bebé nació muerto, la madre nerviosa lo pellizco.
Al tacto, el Niño encanto a los presentes con una sonrisa encantadora!
Los milagros comienzan a suceder.
Lo que sucedió después fue notable. Una colchoneta cubierta con una colcha gruesa había
sido colocado en un rincón de la habitación cuando comenzaron los dolores de parto.
Tan pronto como la abuela del recién nacido coloco al niño en el tapete, la familia vio que la
manta se levanta y cae a ambos lados de la bebé.
La abuela cogió al niño y lo saco. Una serpiente estaba enrollada debajo!
Recordando la imagen religiosa antigua, el Sathya pequeño era Vishnu que descansaba sobre su
serpiente cósmica Shesha.
Ishvaramma cuando se le preguntó acerca de este acontecimiento épico, confesó que había estado tan lleno de alegría por el nacimiento de un hijo, que apenas notó la agitación alrededor.
Fue en este momento que el sufrimiento y la tumultuosa agitación generalizada se extendió por el
mundo. El siglo 20 se estaba desarrollando en medio de la guerra y la devastación. Las semillas de
la Segunda Guerra Mundial ya habían sido plantada. A pesar de la existencia de las almas nobles
como Ramana Maharshi, el mundo estaba en una encrucijada y es claramente necesario una
guía. Fue un período crítico.
Ha sido bien documentado, que cada vez que el equilibrio entre el bien y el mal en este mundo,
se inclina a favor de la maldad, el Señor de vez en cuando desciende para llevar a la humanidad, por el camino correcto.
Y así fue en 1926, que la dramática confirmación de la Encarnación, tuvo lugar el día después de
que Baba había nacido. El 24 de noviembre, en la vecina Pondicherry, el muy estimado líder
espiritual Sri Aurobindo y sus discípulos estaban al tanto de la venida del Avatar, que se dio a
conocer a los presentes como "una inundación oceánica de la luz en la tierra desde el cielo."
Uno de los discípulos se inspiró para declarar: "El Señor ha descendido hoy en lo físico."
Una parte importante de la misión de Sri Aurobindo se había cumplido.
Sonríe el Mundo, el Señor ha descendido.
El bebé, con encanto indescriptible, fue llamado Sathya
Narayana, bautizado después de la deidad adorada en la mañana. Cuando la ceremonia de
nombramiento se llevó a cabo y el nombre fue susurrado en el oído del bebé, se dice que sonrió
ya que la propuesta de otorgar ese nombre ha emanado de la propia fuente!.
Con su apariencia fascinante y cautivadora sonrisa, el pequeño Sathya, se convirtió en el favorito
de todo el pueblo. La casa de Pedda Venkapa Raju, tenia constante flujo de visitantes, que venían
con un pretexto u otro y se mantenían en torno a la cuna, cantaban canciones de cuna, acariciaban la cuna, y se olvidaban de su vida monótona.

poema escrito en Telugu y recitado por Bhagavan mismo:

October 20, 1940. It was on this day, seventy years ago, that Bhagavan Baba unveiled the mystery surrounding His birth, life and mission. He declared to the people around, and through them to the entire mankind, that He indeed is the Supreme Consciousness embodied in a diminutive and delightful form. “I am no longer your Sathya, I am Sai…I have My work; My devotees are calling Me…” He announced candidly on that day.
Ever since, this eternal reservoir of energy and empathy, hope and happiness, solace and succor, light and love, has nursed and nurtured, and ensured that the tiny seed of goodness latent within every individual grows into a gigantic tree of love and serenity. And like a perfect teacher, He has demonstrated this more by living that principle in every moment of His own life. The result is a luminescent legacy that will continue to illumine the dark alleys of humanity’s collective consciousness, elevating it to a state of absolute sublimity for generations to come.
“Loving Legend – Living Legacies” seeks to capture a few salient highlights of this glorious saga of Pure Love. This 30-episode radio documentary starts on October 20, 2010 on Radio Sai to continue daily till November 19, 2010.

Episode 1: Advent and Birth
In 1926, in the tiny hamlet of Puttaparthi, a woman was on her way to collect water at the well.
As she drew out water, a big ball of blue light headed directly towards her and merged into her being. She was so startled at this phenomenon that she fainted and fell.
The occurrence was highly significant as precisely at that moment, the Lord had entered her womb.
The woman was Easwaramma - a name destined to be held dear by millions around the world as the one who gave birth to the Living Avatar.
This is the story of the Lord’s arrival in the human form when, 85 years ago, He incarnated in a quiet little village called Puttaparthi.
The Blessed Family
His grandfather, Kondamma Raju, was skilled in music and drama and could recite the entire epic of Ramayana in the form of songs.
He was a strict vegetarian, inclined to observe all the holy dogmas of the Hindu calendar. His wife, Lakshmamma, was also very pious, her life being dictated by fasts, vows and vigils, intent on invoking the blessings of the Divine Forces.
The couple's two sons inherited the father's talent for music and theatre. The elder, Pedda Venkappa Raju, was given in marriage to Namagiriamma. Guided by a dream, Kondamma Raju had his son change his wife’s name to Easwaramma.
Easwaramma – The Divine Mother
What do we know of the woman chosen by the supreme divine consciousness for Its descent in human form?
Mother Easwaramma was born in modest circumstances in remote and rural India during the British rule in the last decade of the 19th century. Confined to her little world of tending to the needs of her family, she lived a pious and content life in an isolated village with no access to the outside world.
In a Divine Discourse delivered on Easwaramma Day in the year 2000, Baba said: “Easwaramma was born in such a poor family that she did not even have proper food to eat. All that she ate was ragi sankati (gruel prepared from a course grain). She was illiterate. When I see the egoistic attitude, perverted mentality and ostentatious behaviour of the present day educated people, I feel it was better that Easwaramma did not have any schooling.”
Modest, humble and pure, she was the one qualified for the rarest of honours for she was in the league of the likes of Kaushalya, Devaki, Yashoda and Mother Mary. So it was that the Divine decided to descend and chose the womb of Mother Easwaramma for His temporary abode.
Even before His birth, Mother Easwaramma knew the child she would bear would not be an ordinary mortal.
At the time when the mysterious light entered her womb, musical notes from instruments such as a large tamboura and a maddala drum twanged and beat as if played by expert hands. When Father Pedda Venkapa enquired about the strange occurrence, a learned Brahmin interpreted the musical sign as a beneficent power, conferring harmony, melody, order, symmetry, spiritual elevation and joy.
The Lord Arrives
On 23 November 1926, Easwaramma had just finished her strict religious observance to her chosen God, Narayana, when the birth pangs began. Word was sent to the mother-in-law, Lakshamma, who was at the house of the priest to perform her Sathyanarayana Puja. Lakshamma refused to be hurried; instead she waited to collect the sanctified food and water offerings to bring for her daughter-in-law, which Easwaramma accepted and relished.
Within the next moment, the Lord was born and the sun rose above the horizon.
The baby Sathya reportedly did not cry. Alarmed the infant was stillborn, the nervous mother pinched Him. At the touch, the Child delighted those present with an enchanting smile!
Miracles Begin to Happen
What happened next was remarkable. A mat covered with a thick bedspread had been placed in a corner of the room when the labour pains began. As soon as the grandmother placed the new born on the mat, the family found the quilt rising up and falling on either side of the baby. The grandmother grasped the child and held it close. A serpent was coiled beneath!
Recalling the ancient religious image, the pint-sized Sathya was Vishnu resting on His cosmic serpent, Shesha. This was the Incarnation's fir st miracle.
When Easwaramma was asked about this epic event, she confessed she had been so filled with joy at the birth of a son that she hardly noticed the agitation around.
It was at this time that tumultuous suffering and widespread agitation swept through the world. The 20th century was unfolding amidst war and devastation. The seeds of World War II had already been planted. Despite the existence of noble souls such as Ramana Maharshi, the world was at crossroads and clearly needed a direction. It was a critical period.
It has been well documented that whenever the balance between good and bad in this world tips in favour of unrighteousness, the Lord—from time to time—descends to lead humanity onto the right path. And so it was in 1926.
Dramatic confirmation of the Incarnation took place the day after Baba was born. On 24 November, in neighboring Pondicherry, the highly esteemed spiritual leader Sri Aurobindo and his disciples were aware of the descent of the Avatar, which made itself known to those assembled as “an oceanic flood of Light rushing down from above.” One of the disciples was inspired to declare, "The Lord has descended into the physical today." A major part of Sri Aurobindo’s mission had been accomplished.
He Smiles at the World
And, what of the descended Lord? The baby, charming beyond description, was called Sathya Narayana, christened after the deity worshipped that morning. When the naming ceremony was performed and the name whispered in the ear, the baby is said to have smiled as the suggestion to bestow that name must have emanated from the Source itself!
With His bewitching looks and captivating smile, little Sathya became the darling of the entire village. Pedda Venkapa Raju's house was constantly streaming with visitors, who would come on some pretext or the other and stay on around the cradle, singing lullabies, showering caresses, and forgetting their humdrum lives.
