"Bhagavan reside en nuestros corazones"_Parte -1

Hrudaya es una palabra sánscrita, que normalmente indica en Inglés como 'Corazón'. Por lo tanto, 'Hrudaya Nivasi "significa" El Morador de Corazones'.

Un par de años, Swami, en Su infinita Misericordia me bendijo con dos entrevistas sucesivas. En la primera entrevista, Swami hablo largo y tendido sobre Hrudaya. Yo había tratado de narrar las enseñanzas iluminadoras de Swami en mi último libro. 

Vamos a ver, en cuanto a cómo Swami expuso las palabras, 'Hrudaya Nivasi'. Swami había partido la palabra Hrudaya en dos partes - ' HRUD + DAYA'. 

Swami explicó el significado en ese momento. Daya significa "compasión". Hrudaya significa, la fuente de donde emanan los sentimientos de Daya(compasión) pura. En el diccionario espiritual, este corazón (Hrudaya) no es el corazón físico, que es sólo un órgano de nuestro cuerpo humano que bombea la sangre constantemente. Nuestros sentimientos de Daya o compasión no se originan en el corazón físico.

Como tal, Swami dice, el corazón espiritual está en nuestros sentimientos y pensamientos, que a su vez, tratamos de manipular dentro de nuestras mentes. Cuando nuestros pensamientos son en interés propio  individualista y egoísta, y dirigen nuestra mente,  nos encontramos incapacitados para reflejar los sentimientos de Daya o compasión. 

Cuando hay sentimientos de piedad y compasión, la compasión divina abruma el corazón espiritual y esta es la situación cuando tratamos de decirles,  que Swami está en nuestros corazones. 

Este es un asunto muy delicado para ejemplificar o para entender sus implicancias. Hasta que no sepamos acerca de esta verdad, si decimos que Swami está en nuestros corazones, será muy difícil de entender y darnos cuenta de la verdad en su totalidad. Sólo se trata de expresar el significado dentro de nuestras concepciones limitadas y a continuación tratamos de justificar nuestras interpretaciones con diversas explicaciones irrelevantes.

Swami había comentado que algunos devotos dicen que Swami está en sus corazones. Swami le había dicho además que no es correcto decir que Dios está en el corazón de uno. 

Bhagavan citó un ejemplo. Tomó un pañuelo en sus manos, y dijo: "La mano está sosteniendo el pañuelo porque la mano es más grande que el pañuelo. Por lo tanto cuando decimos que Dios está en nuestro corazón, esto puede significar que son más grandes que Dios. ".

 Swami dijo además que, es cierto que Dios está en el corazón de uno, pero "Él también está en frente de ti, detrás de ti, encima de ustedes y alrededor de ustedes y que Dios es omnipresente".

Habiendo dicho esto, durante el transcurso de la entrevista, Swami le pidió a mi hijo, que estaba presente en la sala, "usted está usando un pantalón blanco y limpio, mientras está sentado en el suelo, puede ensuciarse". 

Para esto, el muchacho respondió que: "Swami, tengo una pequeña esterilla para extender en el suelo". 

En este punto, Swami acorralado, dijo: "Es importante sentarse en un lugar muy cuidadosamente. Pero ¿no crees que Dios se merece un mejor lugar para sentarse? Usted debe mantener su corazón puro y limpio para que Dios pueda tomar su asiento allí "..

Ahora aquí hay una contradicción en la declaración, que el corazón es la sede del Señor. Pero Swami, más tarde aclaró el tema de "El Señor reside en el corazón." Él ya había explicado el significado de la palabra, el corazón (Hrudaya) como la fuente de donde la pura Daya o compasión emana. A medida que desarrollamos la devoción a el inmaculado Señor, el devoto embebe en su interior, todas las cualidades de lo Divino. La compasión es el mayor aspecto de la Divinidad. El devoto también desarrolla compasión por toda la creación. En el proceso, los sentimientos egoístas también se dejan. Swami da y da , y del mismo modo, el devoto también da y le da todo lo que posee, a la sociedad y no tendrá ganas de poseer algo para sí mismo. 

De hecho, el devoto es el desarrollo de las cualidades divinas, y en tal situación, podemos afirmar que Dios es quien reside en nuestro corazón. Como cuestión de hecho, el significado literal no es "residente", sino que tú mismo, eres divino. Los devotos alcanzar casi el mismo nivel  que Dios. 

Bhagavan sólo quiere hacernos resucitar al nivel de lo Divino.

Hrudaya is a Sanskrit word, which normally indicates the English word as 'Heart'. So, 'Hrudaya Nivasi' means 'The Indweller of Hearts'.

A couple of years ago, Swami, in His infinite Mercy blessed me with two successive Interviews. In the first Interview, Swami dwelt at length about the so-called Hrudaya. I had tried to narrate Swami’s illuminating teachings in my last book. Let us see, as to how Swami expounded the word, ‘Hrudaya Nivasi’. Swami had split the word Hrudaya in two parts - 'HRUD + DAYA'. Swami explained the meanings there on. Daya means ‘Compassion’. Hrudaya means, the source from where the feelings of Pure Daya or compassion emanate. In the spiritual dictionary, this heart (Hrudaya) is not the physical heart, which is only a mechanism in our human body that pumps blood constantly. Our feelings of Daya or compassion do not originate from the physical heart.

As such, Swami says, the spiritual heart is in our feelings and thoughts, which in turn, we try to manipulate within our minds. When our own self-interest and selfish thoughts guide our minds, it finds itself incapacitated to reflect the feelings of Daya or Compassion. When there are feelings of piety and compassion, Divine Compassion overwhelms the spiritual heart and this is the situation when we try to tell that Swami is in our hearts. This is a very delicate matter to illustrate or to understand the implications. Until we know about this truth, if we say that Swami is in our hearts, it will be very difficult to understand and realize the truth in its totality. We will only be trying to express the meaning within our limited understandings and then we try to substantiate our interpretations with various other irrelevant explanations.

Swami had remarked that some devotees say that Swami is in their hearts. Swami had further told that it is wrong to say that God is in one's heart. Bhagavan quoted an example. Holding a kerchief in His hands, He said, “The hand is holding the kerchief because the hand is bigger than kerchief. As such when we say God is in our heart, it may mean as if we are bigger than God.”. Swami further said that, it is true that God is in one's heart, but "He is also in front of you, behind you, above you and around you and God is omnipresent".

Having said this, during the course of the interview, Swami asked my son who was present in the room, "You are wearing a clean white pant. While sitting on the floor; it may get dirt". For this, the boy replied that, "Swami, I am having a small mat to spread on the floor". At this point, Swami cornered him by saying, "You take so much care to sit in a place very neatly. But don't you think that God deserves a better place to sit on? You should keep your heart pure and clean so that God can take His seat over there”..

Now here is a contradiction of statement, as to the heart being the seat of Lord. But Swami, later on clarified the subject of “Lord residing in the heart." He had already explained the meaning of the word, Heart (Hrudaya) as the source from where the Pure Daya or compassion emanates. As we develop unsullied devotion to the Lord, the devotee slowly imbibes within him, all the qualities of the Divine. The compassion is the greatest aspect of Divinity. The devotee too develops compassion on all the creation. In the process, the selfish feelings also leave him. Swami gives and gives, and likewise, the devotee too gives and gives whatever he owns, to the society and does not feel like possessing anything for himself. In fact, the devotee is developing the divine qualities, and in such a situation, we can claim that God is residing in our heart. As a matter of fact, the literal meaning is not ‘residing’, but you yourself, become divine. The devotees attain almost the same wavelength as that of the God. Bhagavan’s advent is only to raise us to such a Divine level.
