En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en la Argentina, el 15 de octubre de 2016. Un devoto preguntó sobre la igualdad entre casta, nacionalidad, credo y sexo.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Devoto: Swami, en muchos de sus discursos, proclama que hay igualdad en credo, casta, nacionalidad e incluso género. En cuanto al género, ¿se refiere a hombres y mujeres, o incluso a personas heterosexuales, gays, transexuales y personas intersexuales? En los últimos años en Argentina, el matrimonio homosexual ha sido proclamado legal; Por lo tanto, esta pregunta.

Swami: Acabo de dar un discurso sobre la Unicidad de lo que está dentro. Entonces, cuando digo que todos son iguales, lo miro desde la perspectiva de la divinidad. Todos son importantes. Esto es porque todos son esencialmente divinos. Cuando uno mira a su alrededor con las gafas de la divinidad, uno verá todo como divino. Todo parecerá igual, aunque exteriormente todo sea diferente. Se supone que algunas frutas añaden acidez a los alimentos; otras frutas agregan dulzura a la comida. Variedad en la comida lo hace sabroso.

Del mismo modo, hay hombres, mujeres y niños, jóvenes y viejos. Hay poetas, profesores, científicos, médicos e ingenieros, todos diferentes a su manera. Externamente, hay una diferencia que hay que respetar con el entendimiento de que, internamente, todo el mundo es el mismo y divino. 

Una fruta del limonero va a ser ácida. No puedes quejarte de que no es dulce; No se supone que sea dulce. Por otra parte, un plátano será dulce; usted no puede esperar que sea salada. Así es como Dios ha creado toda esta Creación. Cada uno es único e importante a su manera. Comprender esto y respetar esto, es igualdad; de lo contrario, ¿cómo pueden todos ser iguales? La gente se ve diferente, hablan diferentes idiomas, comen diferentes comidas, usan diferentes ropas. Hay diferencias, sin duda. Entienda que fundamentalmente, todos son divinos, así que fundamentalmente todos son iguales. Una vez que haya basado su visión en este principio divino, podrá respetar una fruta de limón, así como respetar un fruto de mango. Usted será capaz de aceptar las diferencias exteriores, pero respetarlos. Si miras hacia fuera, nunca encontrarás justicia e igualdad. Por eso digo que la solución a todas las cuestiones y problemas del mundo radican en que el hombre realice su divinidad.

In a satsang held in the divine presence at Argentina, on 15 October, 2016. A devotee asked about equality among caste, creed nationality and gender.

And here is what Swami said:

Devotee: Swami, in many of Your discourses, You proclaim that there is equality in creed, caste, nationality and even gender. With regards to gender, are You referring to men and women, or even to straight people, gay people, transsexuals and intersex people? In the last few years in Argentina, gay marriage has been proclaimed legal; hence, this question.

Swami: I just gave a discourse about the Oneness of that which is within. So, when I say that all are equal, I look at it from the perspective of divinity. All are important. This is because all are essentially divine. When one looks around with the glasses of divinity, one will see everything as divine. Everything will look equal although, outwardly, everything is different. A mango fruit is different from a lemon, which is different from a banana. How can they be equal? Each of the fruits, each of the trees and each of the seeds has a purpose. Some fruits are supposed to add sourness to food; other fruits add sweetness to food. Variety in the food makes it tasty.

Likewise, there are men, women and children, both young and old. There are poets, professors, scientists, doctors and engineers, all different in their own ways. Outwardly, there is a difference which has to be respected with the understanding that, inwardly, everybody is the same and divine. A lemon fruit is going to be sour. You cannot complain that it is not sweet; it is not supposed to be sweet. On the other hand, a banana will be sweet; you cannot expect it to be salty. That is how God has created this whole Creation. Each is unique and important in its own way. Understanding this and respecting this is equality; otherwise, how can all be equal? People look different, speak different languages, eat different foods, wear different clothes. There are differences, no doubt. Understand that, fundamentally, all are divine so, fundamentally, all are equal. Once you have based your vision on this divine principle, you will be able to respect a lemon fruit, as well as respecting a mango fruit. You will be able to accept the outer differences, yet respect them. If you look outwardly, you can never find justice and equality. That is why I say, the solution to all the issues and problems of the world lies in man realizing his divinity.
