Serie de charlas y presentaciones se están sucediendo por todo Mumbai con motivo del 87 cumpleaños de Bhagavan y de la celebracion de Jayanthi.
El 25 de noviembre, el Samithi Bandra de Mumbai, organizó un gran programa en su área. La atracción principal fue un hermoso discurso dado por un antiguo alumno de Bhagavan Baba, Sri Vivekananda Sahoo. Deseo narrar aquí uno de los acontecimientos milagrosos del que fue testigo cuando estudiaba allí.
Un grupo de devotos de Singapur había llegado a Parthi. Trajeron con ellos un regalo valioso a su Divino Señor. Era un jarrón de flores muy hermosas. De marfil, y adornado con costosas piedras preciosas. Les habría costar alrededor de Rs.20, 000, en ese momento. Ellos estaban esperando fuera de la habitación de entrevistas colocando el regalo en frente de ellos. Swami salió y miró el florero. Llamó a un niño, y le dio instrucciones para romperlo. Entonces Swami entró en la habitación. Todo el mundo se quedó atónito. Así que el chico! No sabía qué hacer. Romper ese costoso jarrón! .
En silencio, tomó el jarron y lo llevo dentro de una de las habitaciones, cerca de la puerta VIP, y volvió a su asiento.
A los 5 minutos, Swami salió otra vez, y preguntó al niño si él lo había roto. Él le dijo a Swami la verdad. Swami se enfadó.
Él llamó a otro chico y le dijo con severidad que buscara el jarrón y lo rompiera.
Este niño también se enfrento a la misma situación. Él recogió el jarrón de la habitación, y lo llevó a algunos Godown en el sur de Prashanti.
Cuando Swami se enteró de esto, Él se enfadó y llamó a otro muchacho, y con severidad ordenó que trajese de vuelta el jarrón.
Él obedientemente lo llevó a la terraza. Swami le dijo, rompe esto, aquí y ahora. Sin ninguna duda el chico tiró el jarrón al suelo. El jarrón se rompió en pedazos y se esparció por todas partes. Todo el mundo se quedó atónito. Oh! ¿Qué habría sido de los sentimientos de los devotos de Singapur, que lo habían comprado con tanto amor hacia su Swami.?
Sin embargo, parecía que Swami estaba disfrutando de la situación. Miró a su alrededor los trozos dispersos. Después de un rato, llamó a los niños para que recogieran todas las piezas. Los chicos recogieron los pedazos rotos y los amontonaron en un solo lugar delante de Bhagavan. Swami estuvo mirándolos por un tiempo. De repente Swami se inclinó metió las manos en el montón de pedazos y los levantó.
Y he aquí! ¿ Qué estaba viendo?.... Swami tenía en sus manos, el hermoso jarrón de flores entero, y no uno sino dos de ellos!

Story behind this photo_Miracle of broken flower vase.
In this photo you are seeing Sri Vivekanda Sahoo, speaking in Bandra Samithi, Mumbai.
Series of functions are happening all over Mumbai coinciding Bhagavan’s 87th Jayanthi celebrations.
On the 25th November, the Bandra Samithi of Mumbai Sathya Sai Seva organization, organized a mammoth programme in their area. The main attraction was a beautiful speech by an Old student of Bhagavan Baba, Sri Vivekananda Sahoo. I wish to narrate here one of the miraculous events which he witnessed while he was studying there,
A group of devotees from Singapore had arrived in Parthi. They brought with them a valuable Gift to their Divine Lord. It was A very beautiful Flower Vase. Made of Ivory, and studded with expensive precious stones. It would have cost them anywhere about Rs.20,000/- at that time. They were waiting outside interview room placing the Gift item in front of them. Swami came out and looked at the flower vase. He summoned a boy, and instructed him to break it. Then Swami went inside the room. Everyone was stunned. So was the boy! He did not know what to do. Breaking such an expensive good looking flower vase! He quietly took the vase and kept inside one of the rooms, near VIP gate, and resumed his seat. Within 5 minutes, Swami came out again, and asked the boy whether he had broken it. He told Swami the truth. Swami got upset. He called another boy and told him sternly to bring the vase and break it. This boy also faced the same situation. He collected the vase from the room, and took it to some other godown in South Prashanthi. When /swami came to know of this, He got angry and called another boy, and sternly commanded that he should bring back the vase.
He obediently brought it to veranda. Swami told him, break this, here and now. Without any hesitation the boy threw the vase on the floor. The vase was broken to pieces and was scattered all over. Everyone was stunned. Oh! What would have been the feelings of the Singapore devotees who had purchased it with so much Love towards their Swami.
But, it seemed that Swami was enjoying the situation. He looked all around the scattered broken pieces. After a while, he called out to the boys to gather all the pieces. The boys picked up the broken pieces and heaped them in one place in front of Bhagavan. Swami was looking at it for a while. Suddenly Swami leaned down put His hands into the heaps and lifted them. Lo! And behold! What were they seeing? Swami was holding in His hands, the beautiful unbroken flower vase not ONE but TWO of them !!
