El Dr. YS Thathachari, un biofísico dedicado, que había trabajado durante algunos años en el MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), y después en la Universidad de Stanford y la Universidad de California, sufrió en 1960  de " tumores malignos y metástasis agresiva en el cráneo, el cuello , las costillas y las caderas, el cáncer tenia las características de Ewing y el Sarcoma de células retícular "(terminología médica).


Era una pena de muerte, en medicina ¡abracadabra! , el Prof. Kasturi informa en Satyam Shivam Sundaram:


El cirujano, finalmente le dijo:"Señor, los milagros suceden. Esperemos que le suceda un milagro" Esto fue en 1962.


La pareja regresó a Madrás (ahora Chennai), y los médicos en Madras informaron que incluso el hígado se veia afectado con cáncer.


En 1965, Tathachari dijo: "Sentí que debía buscar las bendiciones de Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a raíz de una referencia casual de un amigo. Baba me bendijo, a mí y a mi esposa y nos indico que volviéramos a Stanford, continuando con el medicamento Endoxan, (Medicamento para el cáncer), si quisiera hacerlo.


En 1970, cuando me acerqué a Swami una vez más, él me pidió que suspendiera todos los medicamentos y suplementos dietéticos. Él me dio garantía de curación y disipo ese temor siempre presente de que se repitiera. "


Thathachari más adelante continuó su tarea docente y proyectos de investigación en los Estados Unidos, con un celo que no ha disminuido. El "milagro" había ocurrido realmente!


Bhagavan le escribió muchos años después, con palabras muy fuertes y profundas que son aplicables a todos:


"Espero que ustedes estén ocupados con las tareas que se les confiaron, con buen ánimo y buen estado de salud", decía en las líneas iniciales de Swami en la carta a Thathachari.


"Sai está siempre a tu lado. Él es el conductor del vehículo de su vida. El barco de la vida, sin embargo, muy cargado con la carga de alegrías y tristezas, sin duda puede llegar al puerto de la auto-realización, si es propulsado por una energía mental santa.


"La repetición del nombre es el movimiento de los pistones, el volante es el amor, el ancla es la fe.  Seguir el camino de la confianza y fe en Sai, es siempre su protección contra el dolor y los daños ... Swami constantemente envía su lluvia de compasión hacia ti . Él aconseja desde tu interior y te corrige . Por su parte, debes sumergirte en las funciones encomendadas. Recordando que es el trabajo de Swami.  Y al cumplir con sus deberes, convencidos de que el trabajo es mío ... la salud y la felicidad serán dadas por añadidura. "


¿La vida puede ser gloriosa, si él es el Auriga !

Dr. Y S Thathachari, a dedicated biophysicist who had worked for some years at the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and after that at Stanford University and the University of California, suffered in 1960 ‘aggressively malignant and metastasizing tumors in the skull, the neck, the ribs and the hips, the cancer having the features of both Ewings and Reticulum - Cell Sarcoma.’(Medical terminology)


It was a death sentence enveloped in medical abracadabra! Prof. Kasturi reports in Sathyam Shivam Sundaram :


The surgeon finally told him, 'Sir, miracles do happen. We hope such a miracle would happen to you.' This was in 1962.


The couple returned to Madras (now Chennai) and the doctors in Madras pronounced that even the liver is now affected with cancer.


In 1965,Tathachari says,“I felt like seeking the blessings of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, following a chance reference by a friend. Baba blessed me and my wife and directed us to go back to Stanford, continuing the Endoxan,(CANCER drug) if I wished to do so.


In 1970, when I approached Swami again, He asked me to discontinue all drugs and dietary supplements. He gave me an assurance of cure and dispelled that ever-present dread of recurrence."


Thathachari later pursued his teaching assignment and research projects in America with undiminished zeal. The ‘miracle’ had indeed happened!!!


Bhagavan wrote to him many years later with very powerful and profound words that are applicable to one & all:


“Busy yourselves with the duties which are entrusted to you, in good spirit and fine health,” Swami’s initial lines in the letter to Thathachari read.


“Sai is ever by your side. He is the charioteer of the vehicle of your life. The ship of life, however heavily loaded with the cargo of joys and sorrows, can certainly arrive at the harbor of self-realization, if it is propelled by holy mental energy.


" Repetition of the Name is the 'dug-dug-dug' of the pistons; the steering wheel is love; the anchor is faith. Continue the journey in confidence. Sai is always guarding you from harm and pain…Swami is constantly showering His compassion on you. He counsels you from within and corrects you. On your part, be immersed in the duties entrusted to you; remember that is Swami's work. When you discharge your duties, convinced that the work is mine… health and happiness will be added unto you."


How glorious one’s life can be if He is made the Charioteer!!!
