Q: Swami, ¿por qué no recibimos la gracia de Dios? .

Bhagavan: Esta es una idea totalmente equivocada. Dios trata a todos por igual. La culpa es de los individuos. Por ejemplo, si llueve y usted quiere recoger el agua de lluvia, debe colocar un recipiente bajo la lluvia con la boca del recipiente hacia el cielo. Sólo entonces recogerá el agua de lluvia en el recipiente. Si por el contrario se coloca el vaso al revés, ¿cómo se puede esperar que el agua de lluvia se acumule en el recipiente? .Tu mente es el vaso y Dios es el cielo. Gire a la mente hacia Dios, entonces el agua de la gracia sin duda podrá ser recogida.

Q: Swami, algunas personas dicen que no hay felicidad en sus vidas, y que nunca puede ser feliz. ¿Por qué es eso?

Bhagavan: La mente es la razón de tal sentimiento. La felicidad sólo puede alcanzarse si la mente se vuelve hacia Dios. Si la mente está dirigida hacia el mundo, entonces la vida llegara a ser dolorosa.


Un ejemplo: Tome un abanico de mano, y  muévalo hacia usted, luego la brisa vendrá hacia ti. Sin embargo, si usted lo mueve lejos de ti, ¿cómo puede usted conseguir brisa ? . De la misma manera, si la mente se desvía hacia Dios, se puede obtener la felicidad.

Q : Swami, why don't we receive God's Grace?

Bhagawan : This is a totally wrong notion. God treats everyone alike. The fault lies with individuals. For example, if it rains and you want to catch the rainwater, you must place a vessel in the rain with the mouth of the vessel facing the sky. Only then will the rainwater collect in the vessel. If on the other hand you place the vessel upside down, how can you expect rainwater to collect in the vessel? Your mind is the vessel and God is the sky. Turn the mind towards God; then the water of Grace can surely be collected.

Q : Swami, some people say that there is no happiness in their lives, and that they can never be happy. Why is that?

Bhagawan : The mind is the reason for such a feeling. Happiness can be attained only if the mind is turned towards God. If the mind is turned towards the world, then life would become painful.



An example: Take a hand-fan and move it towards you; then the breeze will come towards you. If, however, you move the fan away from you, how can you get breeze? In the same way, only if the mind is diverted towards God, can you get happiness.
