-Baba

In the words ‘I want peace’ there are three words which are to be considered carefully. There is this ‘I’ and then there is ‘want’ and finally there is ‘peace’. If you want peace, you have to get rid of both ‘I’ and the ‘wants’ and what remains is ‘peace’. How to remove ‘I’? When you think more of Sai, there will be less of ‘I’. If you think more of God, you will think less of yourself. So it is only love for God that can remove ego from our minds. -Baba

Pleasures and Pains
Very often we have heard Swami say, ‘Pleasure is an interval between two pains’, so it was no surprise that He opened the conversation with the distraught devotee in the interview room with this sentence.
The devotee was definitely not in a mood to listen to philosophy when there was so much that he was enduring. But Swami while mentioned about the dark clouds, also pointed toward the silver lining.
He said, “See, when there is pain in life you must actually feel very happy because pleasure is going to follow next, but when there is pleasurable time in life then you must worry as pain will ensue thereafter. So, be happy that pleasure is next to come and stay positive.”
The devotee could only smile at Swami’s clever ways of convincing him to be happy, irrespective of the situations!
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS SATHYA SAI GRAMA, MUDDENAHALLI DECEMBER 24, 2018
This year, Christmas Eve marked the beginning of three days of Christmas celebrations in the Divine presence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Many people from various different countries had gathered to bask in the love of their heavenly Father and the evening saw a beautiful presentation of Christmas songs by the International Choir. While it is the season of love and light, Christmas is synonymous with carols and music, the International Choir group were blessed to perform for the third consecutive year. Bhagawan had explained the choir members last year that not everybody who can sing, is a singer. Only they who sing for God, to please God alone, is a singer. When God is pleased, everyone is pleased, and their hearts are full of love and joy. It is this spreading of love and joy that is the true spirit of Christmas. Therefore, when Bhagawan formed the choir in 2015, He named it as the Sai Love and Joy International Christmas Choir. Under the guidance of the Choir Conductor Mrs Wendy Cameron and her husband Mr Robert Cameron from Australia, 60 devotees came together from across 17 countries – a true representation of the brotherhood of man and Fatherhood of God!
The evening began with Bhagawan’s arrival at the Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham Hall, which was gloriously decorated with beautiful ornaments, lights, Christmas trees and a nativity scene by the devotees of Singapore. After walking amidst everyone who had gathered for the celebrations from around the world, Bhagawan took His seat while members of the Choir offered cards and flowers to seek His blessings for their.....
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS SATHYA SAI GRAMA, MUDDENAHALLI DECEMBER 25, 2018
Morning
Jesus came as the embodiment of love and compassion and lived among men, holding forth the highest ideals of life, 2000 years ago, when narrow pride and ignorance defiled mankind. As Bhagawan says, the celebration must take the form of adherence to His teachings, loyalty to His principles and practicing the discipline and experiencing the awareness of the Divine that He sought to awaken.
The proceedings on the auspicious morning of Christmas began with Bhagawan’s arrival amidst melodious Bhajans and songs. After He had blessed all who had gathered, Bhagawan took His seat and the morning’s proceedings began with Sister Bhuvana Santhanam leading the whole gathering to recite the Lord’s Prayer. This was followed by an offering of carols and songs by devotees from Singapore. Their presentation included a number of popular and well-known Christmas songs, including Sai You Are, O Come All Ye Faithful and Long Time Ago in Bethlehem. One of the highlights for Christmas morning every year, is the arrival of Santa Claus and this year was indeed a blissful sight to see as he entered Premamrutham on a sleigh complete with reindeer. Bhagawan blessed all the chocolates and sweets that had been brought and along with two helpers, they were distributed to everyone, bringing much joy and laughter to all present. Thereafter, Bhagawan blessed the Singapore group with tokens of love and took pictures with the members of the group.
After a short break, the proceedings continued with an address by Mr Isaac Tigrett. Mr Tigrett spoke about the omnipresence and omniscience of God. He detailed some aspects of the crucifixion of Christ and spoke about the equanimity of Jesus. Even though much injustice and pain had to be borne by Jesus, He bore no hatred or negativity towards anyone and this is the kind of equanimity which Bhagawan teaches everyone to develop.
The next speaker for the morning, was Sri B N Narasimha Murthy who spoke further about the equanimity and compassion of Jesus. Speaking about the life and message of Jesus, he urged....

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS SATHYA SAI GRAMA, MUDDENAHALLI DECEMBER 26, 2018
The final day of Christmas celebrations began as Bhagawan entered Premamrutham whilst Bhajans were in progress around 6:30 p.m. While walking amidst all those who had gathered, Bhagawan blessed all those who had selflessly worked over the past few days, with tokens of His love. After He had taken His seat, the celebrations began with a musical offering by devotees from the Russian Federation of countries, including Russia, Belarus, Lithuania and Bashkiria. They presented a bouquet of nine songs in the languages of Russian, Lithuanian, English and Bashkir. Their upbeat and energetic performance which also included some dances, indeed uplifted the spirits of all and carried the spirit of Christmas love and joy.
Then, upon Bhagawan’s command Sister Mira Levchenko rendered a song which she had composed and written in Russian on her unending love for Bhagawan. Sister Mira is a professional singer who has been teaching music to children in orphanages for the last twenty years. Thereafter, Bhagawan profusely blessed the group and after gifting them tokens of love, took pictures with the choir members.
The next musical offering for the evening, was by Mr Cass Smith. Hailing from the USA, Mr Smith is a self-taught musician who first came to Bhagawan in 1981. On Bhagawan’s command, he along....
