Swami vivekananda dijo: " si algo bueno ha pasado a través de mí, es a causa de Ramakrishna Mukhopadhyaya. Y si alguna vez hubo un error, fue por mi culpa."
Así de bella, humildemente, honestamente lo expresó. Obviamente, no puedo poner mi mano sobre mi pecho y decir que he tenido éxito en todo momento en ser lo que Él quería que fuera. Cada vez que lo conseguí y algo bueno salió, seguramente fue, pura y completamente, por Él. Y cada vez que me quedaba corto en lo que tenía que hacer, en términos simples, fracasar en hacer lo que Él quería que hiciera, que causara algun daño, desilusión, o cualquier cosa triste para alguien, era completamente por mi culpa.
Es agradable ser glorificado porque caminas a la sombra de Dios. Pero como dice Swami, usted es su propio juez, usted es su propio testigo, usted es su propio estándar. Cuando me miro, encuentro que la segunda parte de la declaración de Swami Vivekananda es más práctica y relevante para mi situación. Pero definitivamente ha habido una lucha, un conflicto, un ahinco y una sincero esfuerzo para cumplir con sus expectativas. Eso es algo probable, si puedo dar crédito a mí mismo, que intenté hacer, ser o seguir lo que Él me estaba diciendo. Como dice Robert Frost, "Millas por recorrer antes de dormir", todavía tengo que recorrer una larga distancia. Así que estamos aquí realmente para no dar una especie de sermón a otros desde un pedestal superior. Estamos aquí como co-viajeros que viajan por el mismo camino, para compartir un poco de nuestras experiencias, entre nosotros. Algunos de ustedes pueden estar unos pasos por delante de mí, algunos de ustedes pueden caminar conmigo, algunos de ustedes pueden ponerse al día conmigo. Por lo tanto, estamos en el mismo camino en diferentes puntos de tiempo o lugares. Y definitivamente todos tenemos algo que aprender, conocer y recibir el uno del otro. Y eso es todo lo que estamos viendo cuando nos reunimos para Tattva Sameeksha. Probablemente, a aquellos un poco detrás de mí, pueda compartir algunas de mis experiencias de haber llegado un poco más adelante. Para aquellos que están por delante de mí, probablemente pueda aprender algo de su experiencia de estar delante de mí. Eso es lo que hicieron todos los Maestros. Siempre estuvieron por delante del resto de la humanidad y, con mucha misericordia, compasión y amabilidad, y se detuvieron para ayudarlos a ponerse al corriente y decir que hay un recodo, una curva pronunciada o un bache y los guiaron. Shirdi Baba dice: "Un Gurú es como un guía que te lleva por el mismo camino que ha caminado varias veces, y obviamente, puede decirte dónde están las bestias salvajes, qué debes evitar para que tu viaje sea seguro y cómodo". Ese es el propósito total de Tattva Sameeksha, creo.
Probablemente, muchas personas conocen los éxitos de toda esta historia. Déjame hablar de algunos fracasos. Eso puede darte una buena idea de lo que sucede detrás de escena.
Hubo instancias en la segunda parte de mi presentación o la confesión honesta de Swami Vivekananda, que si algo salía mal, era por mis defectos.
Si algo bueno sucedió en todos estos años de asociación con Swami y con todas las personas buenas, es por Él y Su gracia. Soy un hombre todavía en proceso. Todavía no estoy donde debería estar.
Quiero compartir algunas incidencias, experiencias que probablemente nos motiven a la mayoría de nosotros, incluso si somos así, hay una esperanza para nosotros. Este no es el final. Swami no va a soltarnos, no nos abandonara diciendo que no eres bueno. A pesar de nuestras flaquezas y locuras, Él esperará compasivamente, se detendrá y nos sacará de donde sea que estemos. Ese es nuestro compasivo Señor.

Swami Vivekananda said, "If ever anything good has happened through me, it is because of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. And if at all there was ever a mistake, it was because of me."
This is how beautifully, humbly, honestly he put it. Obviously, I cannot put my hand on my chest and say that I have succeeded every time in being what He wanted me to be. Anytime I succeeded and anything good came out of it, it was surely, purely, completely because of Him. And every time I fell short of what I was to do, to be, in simple terms failed in doing that He wanted me to, that caused any harm, any disappointment, anything sorrowful to anyone it was completely because of me.
It is nice to be glorified because you are walking in the shadow of God. But as Swami says, you are your own judge, you are your own witness, you are your own standard. When I look at myself, I find the second part of Swami Vivekananda's statement more practical and relevant to my situation. But definitely there has been a strife, a struggle, an effort and a sincere one to rise to His expectations. That is something probably if I can will credit to myself, that I tried to do, be or follow what He was telling me. As Robert Frost says, 'Miles to go before I sleep', I still have a long distance to cover. So we are here really not to kind of give one way sermon to others from some superior pedestal. We are here as co-travelers travelling on the same path to share a bit of our experiences with each other. Some of you might be a few steps ahead of me, some of you may be walking with me, some of you may be catching up with me. Therefore, we are on the same road at different points in time or places. And definitely we all have something to learn, know and receive from each other. And that's all we are looking at when we meet for Tattva Sameeksha. Probably, those a little behind me, I can share some of my experiences of having been a little ahead of you. For those who are ahead of me, probably I can learn something from your experience of being ahead of me. That is what all the Masters did. They were always ahead of the rest of humanity and very mercifully, compassionately, kindly, stopped and paused to help catch up with them to tell there is a turn, a steep curve or a pothole and kept guiding. Shirdi Baba says, "A Guru is like a guide who takes you through the same path that He has walked several times and obviously He can tell you where the wild beasts are, what you need to avoid to make your journey safe and comfortable." That's the whole purpose of Tattva Sameeksha, I believe.
Probably, a lot of people know the successes of this whole story. Let me talk about a few failures. That may give you a good insight into what happens behind the scenes. There were instances which is to the second part of my submission or Swami Vivekananda's honest confession, that if at all anything went wrong, it was because of my shortcomings. If at all anything good happened in all these years of association with Swami and with all the good people, it is because of Him and His grace. I'm a man still in making. I'm not yet where I ought to be. I want to share a few incidences, experiences which probably will motivate most of us that even if we are like this, there is a hope for us. This is not the end of it. Swami is not going to let go of us, not dump us saying that you are no good. Despite our frailties and follies, He will compassionately wait, pause and again pull us up from wherever we are. That is our compassionate Lord.
