"La espiritualidad no es para los débiles de mente. Es sólo para el valiente".
Cuando yo era estudiante, Swami decía muy a menudo que la gente quiere estar en los dos barcos. Quieren montar los dos caballos. No es posible. Por lo general, esas personas se ahogan o caen. No hay manera de que puedan manejar los dos caballos. Una vez en Traye Brindavan, alguien le hizo una pregunta aparentemente inteligente. Swami.! Usted dice que este mundo es también espiritual, todo es espiritual, todo es divino. Así que está bien estar en el mundo, disfrutar de todo y al mismo tiempo ser espiritual?" de algún modo, ese día, Swami fue muy enfático.
Él dijo: "¡No es posible! Lo que piensas como 'disfrutar del mundo' no es posible cuando eres una persona espiritual. Tu perspectiva del mundo cambiará. No puedes mirar el mundo de la misma manera cuando tienes la percepción espiritual ¡Entonces puedes estar en el mundo pero el mundo no puede estar en ti.! Puedes dar la vuelta al mundo como un hombre ordinario, pero definitivamente no serás tocado por el mundo. Así que lo que llamas los placeres o las atracciones del mundo no será bueno para ti ".
Hace unos días, cuando estábamos en Rishikesh, tuvo lugar una conversación y Swami dijo: "Si atas un collar de diamantes alrededor del cuello del perro, ¿qué valor le daría el perro? Todavía será una esclavitud para el perro.
Si ata un collar con diamantes alrededor del cuello del perro pensando que su perro estará muy feliz , ¿cree que al perro le importa? ¡No lo hace! Pero si le da incluso un pan viejo y seco, será más feliz que con el collar de diamantes alrededor del cuello ".
Así que él dijo, "eso es lo que le pasa a un hombre con visión espiritual. Estas cosas insignificantes no tienen ningún encanto para tal persona. No lo puedes atraer con diamantes u oro o riquezas o nombre y fama, poder y posición. No significa nada para esa persona. Para tal persona, incluso un pequeño sabor de la alegría divina es más que suficiente. A él no le importa todas estas cosas mundanas. Esto es lo que swami estaba diciendo en los himalayas cuando hablaba de todos los sanyasis. Él dijo," Mira a todos estos hombres, han perdido toda la atracción por el mundo. Lo que les importa, es si ellos pueden llevar una vida de, lo que llaman miseria algunos, llevar una vida de gran satisfacción de vivir por Dios." Ellos han tomado este camino y Swami esta muy feliz con ellos. Él dijo: " son hombres de Dios porque lo dejaron todo por Mi ."
Me di cuenta después de un tiempo, Swami realmente ama a aquellos que lo aman solo a Èl. Obviamente él ama a todo el mundo, pero ama a aquellos que no se preocupan por las cosas del mundo, porque sólo lo quieren a Dios y nada más.
En las escrituras dicen, "kaschith dheerah" - algún héroe tendrá el valor de deshacerse del mundo e ir por Dios. Y ese momento ha llegado en la misión de Swami. Hoy, aquí y ahora es el momento, lugar, circunstancia (desha, kaala, paristhiti) en que debemos tomar este camino de la espiritualidad.
Swami dijo: " La espiritualidad no es para los débiles de mente. Es sólo para el valiente."

"Spirituality is not for the weak minded. It is only for the courageous."
When I was a student, Swami would say very often that people want to be on both the boats. They want to ride both the horses. It's not possible. Generally such people drown or fall. There is no way they can manage both the horses. Once in Trayee Brindavan, somebody asked Him a seemingly intelligent question. "Swami! You say that this world is also spiritual, everything is spiritual, everything is divine. So it's alright to be in the world, enjoy everything and at the same time be spiritual?" Somehow, on that day, Swami was very strong. He said, "Its not possible! What you think as ‘enjoying the world’ is not possible when you are a spiritual person. Your perspective of the world will change. You cannot look at the world the same way when you have the spiritual insight. So you can be in the world but the world cannot be in you! You can go around the world like an ordinary man but definitely you will not be touched by the world. So what you call as the pleasures or the attractions of the world will hold no good for you.”
Few days back when we were in Rishikesh, some conversation happened and Swami said, "If you tie a diamond necklace around the dogs neck, what value would the dog give to it? It will still be a bondage for the dog, isn't it? If you tie a diamond studded collar around dog’s neck thinking your dog will be very happy because you have tied a diamond studded collar, you think the dog cares? It doesn't! But if you give him even a dry old loaf of bread, it will be more happy than the diamond necklace around its neck.”
So He said, "That's what happens to a man of spiritual insight. These petty things won't hold any charm for such a person. You can't lure him away with diamonds or gold or wealth or name and fame, power and position. It means nothing to do that person. For such a person, even a little taste of Divine joy is more than enough. He does not care about all these worldly things. This is what Swami was telling in Himalayas when He was talking about all the Sanyasis. He said, "Look at all these men, they have lost all the attraction for the world. What matters to them is if they can lead a life of, call it penury if you may, but lead a life of great satisfaction of living for God." They had taken to this path and Swami was so very happy with them. He said, "They are men of God because they left everything for My sake."
I realised over a period of time, Swami really loves those who love nothing other than Him. Obviously He loves everyone, but He loves those most who care nothing for the things of the world because they want only God and nothing else. In scriptures they say, "Kaschith Dheerah" - Some hero will have the courage to discard the world and go for God. And that is the time which has come in Swami's mission. Today, here and now is the time, place, circumstance ( Desha, Kaala, Paristhiti) in which we have to take to this path of spirituality.
Swami said, "Spirituality is not for the weak minded. It is only for the courageous."
