En un satsang celebrado en la divina presencia en California, EE. UU., El 16 de junio de 2016, un devoto preguntó si los humanos realmente pueden alcanzar la autorrealización o si solo es una predicación teórica, y si alguien ha logrado la autorrealización.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: Swami, has estado diciendo que nadie está preguntando por lo que realmente has venido a dar. ¿Puede preguntarte, Swami, ¿si puedes darnos, lo que realmente has venido a dar?

También tengo otra pregunta: has pasado millones de años diciéndole a la humanidad acerca de la "autorrealización". ¿Es práctico para nosotros lograr la autorrealización, especialmente en esta vida? ¿Es solo una predicación teórica?, y puedo preguntar con humildad, ¿alguien que ha seguido este camino, realmente ha logrado la autorrealización?

Swami: "He venido", como tú lo expones. Yo no he venido; Yo no he ido a ningun lado. Siempre he estado aquí, estoy aquí, y siempre estaré aquí. 

Sin embargo, has venido a conocerme a Mí y la razón de eso es que debes llegar a ser como Yo. 

El único propósito de Dios para descender al nivel físico y humano es ayudar a la humanidad a ascender al nivel de Dios. He venido aquí para seas como Yo; para eliminar todo lo que en ti no es Yo, de modo que lo que quede es solo Yo. 

Este es el objetivo último de todos los avatares, todos los mesías, todos los gurús, todos los maestros, de todas las religiones: ayudar a las personas a convertirse en su seres divinos, eliminando todo lo que no es divino. Es por eso que he venido y es lo que estoy haciendo continuamente. 

La autorrealización no es una teoría. La autorrealización es lo más práctico. Todo lo demás puede ser una teoría; de hecho, todo el mundo es solo teoría, solo imaginación; es solo una proyección, solo una ilusión, mientras que la autorrealización es real, es verdad.

¿Ha sido posible para las personas realizar su ser? Definitivamente lo es; hay personas que se han beneficiado de seguir y lograr lo que Yo quería que alcanzaran y así es como se han convertido en verdaderas reflexiones de Mí Mismo. Están en la universidad, estás en la escuela secundaria, por lo que no puedes verlos y no pueden verte, pero, un día, también te desarrollarás y llegarás a donde están y compartirás su compañía. No estoy aquí solo, no soy solo Sathya Sai Baba. Yo soy 'Ser-ness' - verdad absoluta y conciencia - el Morador de todas las personas. Soy el que ha enseñado a la gente de innumerables maneras, a través de muchos yugas y las he ayudado a convertirse en su verdadero Ser.

Primero, cree que es posible. Supongamos que tienes que ir a la India para conocer a alguien; si crees que no es posible ir a India, entonces no darás ni un solo paso en esa dirección. Solo si crees que es posible ira a la India, al menos intentarás hacerlo. ¿Cómo se puede saber si es posible ir a India? Si llega a saber de alguien que ha ido a la India y ha regresado, lo encontrará y le preguntará: "¿Es posible ir a la India y regresar?" Él dirá: "Sí", y luego le dirá: "Así es como: obtienes tu visa, compras un boleto y tomas un vuelo de ida y vuelta a la India".

Así es como han surgido los maestros y mesías - que han estado allí, han visto, experimentado, se dieron cuenta de ello y luego volvieron a contar que es posible, que 'yo he estado allí y he regresado', que 'lo he experimentado - por lo que también puede hacerlo'. Eso es lo que Yo también estoy diciendo - que es posible. Lo sé porque he estado allí.

El hecho de que usted está de pie aquí y no se puede ver el interior de la habitación de al lado, no quiere decir que no existe. Una vez que vas, la ve y sale, usted sabrá que existe, que es posible ir allí, estar allí y volver. Eso ha sido una parte fundamental de lo que todos los grandes maestros han enseñado - aquellos que han alcanzado la realidad del Ser y están aquí para ayudarlo a usted también, para despertar a la realidad de que es posible.

Usted debe hacer el esfuerzo como les he dicho; si se queda en América sin hacer el esfuerzo, diciendo: “No quiero comprar un billete de avión, no quiero obtener una visa, no quiero ir a la India,” no va a suceder.

In a satsang held in the divine presence at the California, USA, on 16 June, 2016, a devotee asked if humans can really attain Self -realisation or is it just a theoretical preaching, and has anyone achieved Self-realisation.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: Swami, You have been saying that nobody is asking for what You have really come for. Can I ask You, Swami, can You please give us what You have really come for?

I also have another question: You have been spending millions of years telling humanity about ‘Self-realization’. Is it practical for us to achieve Self-realization, especially in this lifetime? Is it only a theoretical preaching or, if I may ask with humility, has anyone who has followed this path, truly achieved Self-realization?

Swami: “I have come,” as you put it. I have not come; I have not gone. I have always been here and I am here and always will be here. Nevertheless, you have come to know of Me and the reason for that is that you are to become like Me. The only purpose for God descending to the physical, human level, is to help mankind ascend to the level of God. I have come here to make you like Me; to remove everything in you which is not Me, so that what remains is only Me. This is the ultimate purpose of all Avatars, all messiahs, all gurus, all masters, of all faiths – to help a person to become his or her divine Self, to remove everything that is not divine. That is why I have come and it is what I am doing continuously. Self-realization is not a theory. Self-realization is the most practical thing. Everything else may be a theory; in fact, the whole world is just theory, just imagination; it is just a projection, just an illusion – whereas, Self-realization is real, it is true.

Has it been possible for people to be realized souls? It definitely has; there are people who have benefited from following and attaining what I wanted them to attain and that is how they have become true reflections of Myself. They are in university, you are in high school – so you do not get to see them and they do not get to see you – but, one day, you will also develop and reach where they are and you will share their company. I am not just here. I am not just Sathya Sai Baba. I am ‘Being-ness’ – absolute truth and consciousness – the Indweller of all people. I am the one who has taught people in countless ways, through many yugas and helped them become their true Self.

First, believe that it is possible. Suppose you have to go to India to meet someone; if you believe that it is not possible to go to India, then you will not take even one step in that direction. Only if you believe that it is possible to go to India, will you at least make an effort to go. How can you know whether it is possible to go to India? If you come to know of someone who has gone to India and returned, you will meet him and ask, “Is it possible to go to India and come back?” He will say, “Yes,” and then he will tell you, “This is how – you get your visa, buy a ticket and catch a roundtrip flight to India.”

This is how the masters and messiahs have arisen – they have been there, seen it, experienced it, realised it and then returned to tell you that it is possible, that ‘I have been there and returned’, that ‘I have experienced it – so you can, too’. That is what I am also telling you – that it is possible. I know it because I have been there.

Just because you are standing here and you cannot see inside the next room, does not mean it does not exist. Once you go there, see it and come out, you will know that it exists, that it is possible to go there, be there and return. That has been a primary part of what all the great teachers have taught – those who have attained the reality of the Self and are here to help you too, to wake up to the reality that it is possible.

You must make the effort that I have told you about; if you stay in America without making the effort, saying, “I do not want to buy a plane ticket, I do not want to get a visa, but I want to go to India,” it is not going to happen.
