En un satsang que tuvo lugar en la presencia divina en Londres, Reino Unido, el 14 de abril de 2017, un devoto preguntó si los animales reencarnan como seres humanos y viceversa.

Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:

Pregunta: Swami, los animales reencarnan como seres humanos y viceversa como resultado del karma?

Swami: La reencarnación es una verdad básica de este mundo - y se produce si usted cree en ella, o no. El hombre pasa a través de 84 lakh (8,4 millones) de especies en la Creación, experimentando todas ellas con el fin de nacer como un ser humano. Los animales pueden reencarnarse como seres humanos y lo hacen de acuerdo con sus sentimientos a medida que mueren. Si mueren en paz, amor y armonía, renacen como seres que propagan esos valores. Si mueren en el miedo, la angustia y el sufrimiento, renacerán con estas mismas tendencias. Se dice que los últimos pensamientos de la vida son cruciales para determinar el curso del próximo nacimiento. Los animales reencarnan como seres humanos. Question: Swami, do animals reincarnate as human beings and vice versa as a result of karma?

Swami: Reincarnation is a basic truth of this world – it occurs whether you believe in it, or not. Man passes through 84 lakh (8.4 million) species in Creation, experiencing them all in order to be born as a human. Animals can reincarnate as human beings and they do so in accordance with their feelings as they die. If they die in peace, love and harmony, they are reborn as beings that propagate those values. If they die in fear, anguish and suffering, they will be reborn with these same tendencies. It is said that the last thoughts in life are crucial in determining the course of the next birth. Animals do reincarnate as human beings. There are probably too many that have done so on earth right now, which is why we are observing so much animalistic behavior!
