La historia detrás de la foto: 

Esta es la foto del Sr. Bhaskar, de Chennai, con Bhagavan:

Hay casos en que Bhagavan Baba, dio la extensión de la vida a algunos devotos. Por su gracia incluso trajo a algunos otra vez a la vida, horas después de que habían muerto. Y, sin embargo, en algunos casos, Sai por Su compasión tomo algunas almas benditas con ÉL, para liberarlos del ciclo de nacimiento y muerte.
Cuando alguien fallece normalmente decimos que fulano de tal ha alcanzado los Pies de Loto, o que obtuvo el Paramapadham, o que llego a Vaikuntam, (la morada del Señor Vishnu), o que ha llegado a Kailash, (la morada del Señor Shiva). 

Al final, que un devoto se reúna en esta vida terrenal, indica el nivel de rendición y el grado de devoción que ha alcanzado. El Señor tiene un especial cuidado en darles un final feliz. 
A muchos devotos, Swami les dio Su Darshan cuando estaban en su último aliento y Swami hizo que pasara la transición en forma menos dolorosa y gozosa.

Sri. MK Bhaskar era un oficial retirado de ferrocarriles. Fue Presidente de Distrito de la Organizacion Sri Sathya Sai en Madras. El acostumbraba dar comida suntuosa a todos los que visitaban su casa y nunca se cansó de este seva, generándole gran alegría. 

"Athithi Devo Bhava "( El cliente es Dios o el huésped se convierte en Dios) es uno de los dictámenes de los Vedas y el siguió con entusiasmo esta afirmación.

Después de su jubilación, Sr. Bhaskaran cambió su residencia a Prashanti Nilayam. Swami le había asegurado que le daría un buen trabajo en Parthi. 

Estaba esperando esa oportunidad. Fue una larga espera y después de un par de años, en el festival Santo de Shivaratri. Después de el darshan de la mañana y cuando las canciones devotas habían terminado, fue a su residencia en Parthi, en el edificio redondo. 

Sri. Bhaskar estaba sentado en un sillón en la terraza y estaba leyendo un periódico. De pronto se derrumbó y al escuchar el llamado asustado de su mujer rezando, Swami se acerco, aplico Vibhuti sobre él y después de un rato él milagrosamente se recupero. 

Me quedé atrás y pasó un tiempo un poco más con él .. No puedo olvidar el día siguiente en mi vida.

Ya era la hora de los Bhajan mañaneros en el Mandir. Swami había terminado la entrevista con los devotos elegidos y salió del Mandir. Los Seva Dal voluntarios de Madhya Pradesh que habían completado Prashanti Seva durante una semana, estaban sentados fuera a la espera del Pada Namaskar . Los Bhajan estaban en ejecución cuando Swami caminaba entre los caballeros  Seva Dal. 

Mr. Bhaskar estaba sentado en una silla en el interior, a lo largo de la pared casi en frente de nosotros. Swami, se movía a lo largo de una fila que terminaba justo donde Mr. Bhaskar estaba sentado. Bhagavan Baba preguntó a Mr. Bhaskar en cuanto a lo que él quería. Él respondió: "Swami Padam '. Swami le permitió tocar Sus Pies de Loto. Se levantó y se acerco felizmente, al tratar de sentarse en la silla nuevamente, se cayó de la silla al deslizarse. Todos los ojos estaban pegados a Swami y nadie se dio cuenta que el Sr. Bhaskar se cayo de la silla. 

Swami menciono más adelante ,   Sr. Bhaskar murió como presidente (sentado en una silla) y no como un enfermo en la cama.

¡Qué hermoso final para un alma devota! . El final ocurrió dentro del recinto de las instalaciones del Mandir, y fue también inmediatamente después de tomar Pada namaskar. Sus oídos estaban escuchando los bhajans, mientras que sus  ojos estaban deleitados en la Forma Divina de Bhagavan y su cuerpo acaba de tener contacto físico con la Divinidad, teniendo Pada namaskar.

Si el fin hubiera llegado el día anterior, iba a tener recuerdos de su esposa y su familia en ese momento crítico. Pero Swami extendió su vida por un día más y quiso que el fin llegara en Su presencia. 

Mr. Bhaskar dejo el cuerpo sin nada más en su mente que no sea Swami. Swami incluso se comprometió a organizar todos los rituales religiosos de acuerdo con las costumbres de la familia, para Mr. Bhaskar.

Merger at Lotus Feet, as we were watching!

There are instances when Bhagavan Baba had given extension of life to some devotees. He had by His Grace even brought some other back to life, hours after they had died. And yet in some cases, Sai had by His compassion taken some blessed souls unto HIM liberating them from the cycle of birth and death.
When somebody passes away we normally say that so and so has attained the Lotus Feet or attained the Paramapadham or reached Sri Vaikuntam, (the abode of Lord Vishnu; Or reached the HolyKailash, the abode of Lord Shiva). The end, which a devotee meets in this earthly sojourn, indicates the level of surrender and the degree of devotion he has reached. The Lord takes special care to give them a blissful end. To many devotees, Swami had given His Darshan when they were to breath their last and Swami made the transition less painful and the passing blissful.
Sri. M. K. Bhaskar was a retired Senior Railway Officer. He was the District President of Sri Sathya Sai Organizations in Madras. He derived great joy in giving sumptuous food to all those who visited their house and never got tired of this seva. 'Athithi Devo bhava ' is one of the dictums of Vedas and they followed this dictum enthusiastically.
After retirement, Mr. Bhaskaran shifted his residence to Prashanthi Nilayam. Swami had assured that He would give him a good job at Parthi. He was waiting for that opportunity. It was a long wait and after a couple of years, it was the Holy festival of Shivarathri day. After the morning Darshan and devotional songs were over, I went to his residence at Parthi in the round building. Sri. Bhaskar was sitting in an easy chair in the verandah and was reading a paper. Suddenly he collapsed and on hearing our frightened call his wife came out and prayed to Swami. Vibhuthi was applied on him and after a while he miraculously recovered. I stayed back and spent some more time with him.. I cannot forget the next day in my life.
It was morning Bhajan time in the Mandir. Swami had finished the interview for the chosen devotees and came out of Mandir. The Seva Dal volunteers from Madhya Pradesh who had completed Prashanthi Seva for about a week, were sitting outside for the blessed Pada Namaskar. The Bhajan was going on as Swami walked amongst the gents Seva Dal. Mr.Bhaskar was sitting on a chair just inside along the wall almost in front of us. Swami, was moving along a row which terminated just where Mr.Bhaskar was sitting. Bhagavan Baba enquired from Mr.Bhaskar as to what he wanted. He replied 'Swami Padam'. Swami allowed him to touch His Lotus Feet. He got up blissfully and was trying to sit on the chair again. But he fell down sliding from the chair as soon as he managed to sit. All the eyes were glued to Swami and nobody noticed Mr. Bhaskar falling down from the chair. As Swami mentioned later Mr. Bhaskar died as a chairman (sitting in a chair) and not as sick man in the bed.
What a beautiful end to a devoted soul! The end happened inside the compound of the Mandir premises and that too immediately after taking Pada Namaskar. The ears were listening to the Bhajan while the eyes were feasting on the Divine Form of Bhagavan and the body just had physical contact with the Divine, while taking Pada Namaskar.
If the end had come the previous day he would have memories of his wife and family at that critical time. But Swami extended his life by one more day and had willed that the end should come in His very Presence. Mr.Bhaskar left the body with nothing else in his mind other than Swami. Swami even undertook to organize all the religious rituals as per the customs of the family for Mr.Bhaskar.
