Sita Rama Kalyanam y Rathotsavam ...
Una semana de celebraciones del cumpleaños 87, a iniciado en Prashanti Nilayam con una nota muy auspicioso, la organización de un matrimonio simbólico celestial de la Divina Pareja del Señor Rama y la Madre Sita seguido por Rathotsavam.
El programa se realizó en una plataforma improvisada, frente al Sanctum Sanctorum, comenzó a las 08:30 hrs y duro 80 minutos. En medio de cantos védicos y la música de fondo Nadaswaram, así como los rituales, continuó con diversas ofrendas a la pareja divina, el sumo sacerdote realizo el significado y sentido de la unión divina de conectar el mismo con la saga Sai.
La ceremonia Upanayam del cordón sagrado del novio fue seguida por Kanyadanam (cuando da a la novia), y se realizó en medio de cantos antes de la ceremonia final. El Matrimonio Divino, se llevó a cabo mediante la vinculación del Sutra Mangala alrededor del cuello de la novia.
Este es el segundo año consecutivo, desde su creación, que el matrimonio divino se lleva a cabo en el Sai Kulwant Hall, presenciado por una asamblea de devotos. A través de los años, la función se realizaba dentro de la sala bhajan, en la inmediata presencia divina de Bhagavan.
El matrimonio celestial tiene por objeto establecer la paz universal y la prosperidad.
El Mangala Arathi a la pareja divina se ofreció ante las deidades y fueron sacados en procesión junto con la de Lord Venugopala Swami. Posteriormente, las deidades se montaron en el carro principal en la puerta Gopuram en medio de la exuberancia devocional. Tras el montaje de las deidades, los cocos se rompieron y el Arathi se ofreció antes de ser llevado en procesión a lo largo de la calle.
La danza folclórica popular al son de tambores, rompiendo cocos y ofreciendo arathi en ruta, era probatorio del fervor religioso unido a la fiesta. Vedam y el grupo de bhajans de Prashanti encabezó la procesión. Añadiendo fervor se unieron muchas diversas formas de arte popular de Andhra Pradesh.
El Venugopala Swami ídolo fue montado en la Pedda Venkama Raju Kalyanamandapam , en viaje de regreso , llevando los ídolos Sita y Rama, una costumbre que ha estado en vigor desde el Festival de la Carroza se introdujo en Parthi. Aldeanos entusiastas llevarían Señor Venugopala Swami en una procesión, recorriendo todo el pueblo antes de regresar al Mandir en la noche, una práctica habitual en los últimos años, desde el inicio de Rathotsavam.
De vuelta en el Mandir, los bhajans continuaron hasta 10 hrs., cuando el Mangala Arathi se ofreció a Bhagavan.
Más temprano, a las puertas Prasanthi, entusiastas devotos de Parthi muy temprano, engalanaron y decoraron toda la carretera entre el Prasanthi Mandir y el Pedda Venkamaraju Kalyana Mandapam. Los devotos mujeres fueron vistas dedicadas a pintar la carretera con 'Rangoli'.

Week-long 87th birthday celebrations commenced in Prasanthi Nilayam on a very auspicious note, staging a symbolic celestial marriage of the Divine couple Lord Rama and Mother Sita followed by Rathotsavam.
The programme held on a make-shift platform, in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum, commenced at 0830 hrs. lasting 80 minutes. Amidst Vedic chanting and to the backdrop music of Nadaswaram, even as the rituals continued with various offerings to the Divine couple, the chief priest went on elaborating the greater significance and purport of the Divine Marriage connecting the same with Sai saga. Upanayanam, sacred thread ceremony of the bridegroom followed by Kanyadanam (giving away the bride) was performed amidst chanting before the final ceremony, The Divine Marriage, was conducted by tying of Mangala Sutra around the neck of the bride.
This is the second year in succession, ever since its inception, the Divine Marriage is conducted in Sai Kulwant Hall, witnessed by an assembly of devotees. Over the years the function used to be inside the bhajan hall, in the immediate Divine Presence of Bhagawan.
The celestial Marriage is aimed at establishing Universal Peace and Prosperity.
Mangala Arathi to the Divine couple was offered before the deities were taken out in procession along with that of Lord Venugopala Swami. Subsequently, the deities were mounted on the main chariot at the Gopuram gate amidst devotional exuberance. Upon mounting the deities, coconuts were broken and arathi was offered before they were taken out along the road in procession.
Ecstatic mood of the village folk dancing to the tune of drumbeats, breaking coconuts and offering arathi enroute, was evidential of the religious fervour attached to the festivity. Vedam and Bhajans group from Prasanthi led the procession. Adding to the fervour joined many various folk-art forms from Andhra Pradesh.
The Venugopala Swami idol was mounted at the Pedda Venkama Raju Kalyanamandapam before return journey commenced, carrying the Sita Rama idols, a custom that has been in place ever since the Chariot Festival was introduced in Parthi. Enthusiastic villagers would carry Lord Venugopala Swami in a procession covering the entire village before returning to Mandir in the night, a customary practice over the years, ever since the inception of Rathotsavam.
Back in the Mandir, bhajans continued till 10 hrs. when Mangala Arathi was offered to Bhagawan.
Earlier, outside the Prasanthi gates, enthusiastic Parthi folks were up quite early, sprucing up and decorating the entire road between Prasanthi Mandir and Pedda Venkamaraju Kalyana Mandapam. Women devotees were seen engaged in painting the road with ‘Rangoli’.
