Antes de la temporada de nueve días de fiesta de Devi Navaratri, músicos y director de Sri Sathya Sai College Music presentaron un recital de sitar en el Sanctum Sanctorum esta noche de lunes, aquí en Prashanti Nilayam. La presentación duro cincuenta minutos, se interpretaron piezas musicales que finalizaron con la música del popular bhajan Rama Nama Tharakam Sada Bhajore ...
El Prof Chakraborthy estuvo acompañado por el Pandit Nishikanth Barodekar en Tabla y Sri Suryanarayan Murthy en Tanpura, ambos de el Colegio de Música Mirpuri.
Al final de la presentación los artistas fueron felicitados. Los Bhajans continuaron por algún tiempo hasta el Mangala Arathi ofrecido a las 18:00 hrs.
Como ha sido la tradición desde el año 2000, se realizan nueve días de Seva Yajna, Sri Sathya Sai Grama Seva, que está listo para comenzar mañana. Más de 150 aldeas de los tres mandals del distrito de Anantapur, Puttaparthi, Kothacheruvu y Bukkapatnam se recorrerán este año, el Grama Seva abarcara nueve días. Más de 2000 estudiantes de los cuatro campus del Instituto Sathya Sai de Higher Learning Nilayam, es decir Prasanti, Brindavan, Anantapur y Muddenahalli junto con los estudiantes de nuestra Escuela Secundaria Superior, participarán en este evento de 9 días. Un total de 50.000 hogares recibirán alimentos y ropa durante este período.
Estudiantes del Campus de Anantapur participaran embalando los paquetes de alimentos, más de treinta mil paquetes de arroz de tamarindo que se distribuirán durante todos los 9 días de fiesta. Junto con paquetes de comida, un número igual de laddoos serán embalados por separado por los estudiantes de la escuela secundaria, durante la noche, para que esté listo para su distribución al día siguiente.
Todos los 153 pueblos de los tres mandals estaran cubiertos durante los 9 días. Un total de cincuenta mil hogares se les daran saris y dhotis, puerta a puerta cubriendo un radio de 25 kms desde Puttaparthi. Esto ha ocurrido con continuidad desde el año 2000, bajo los auspicios del Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust en los últimos 12 años ininterrumpidamente.

Preceding the nine day festive season of Devi Navarathri, accomplished musician and Principal of Sri Sathya Sai Music College presented a Sitar recital at the Sanctum Sanctorum this evening here in Prasanthi Nilayam. The fifty minute presentation had three musical pieces that ended with playing to the tune of the popular bhjan Rama Nama Tharakam Sada Bhajore… Prof Chakraborthy was accompanied by Pandit Nishikanth Barodekar on Tabla and Sri Suryanarayan Murthy on Tanpura, both faculties at Mirpuri Music College.
At the end of the presentation the artistes were felicitated. Bhajans continued for sometime before Mangala Arathi at 1800 hrs.
As has been the tradition from the year 2000, Nine Days of Seva Yajna, Sri Sathya Sai Grama Seva, is set to commence tomorrow. Over 150 villages of the three mandals of Anantapur district, Puttaparthi, Kothacheruvu, and Bukkapatnam will be covered in this years’s Grama Seva spanning nine days. More than 2000 students from the four campuses of the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning-namely Prasanti Nilayam,Brindavan, Anantapur and Muddenahalli along with students of our Higher Secondary School will participate in this 9 day event. Totally 50000 households will be given food and clothing during this period.
Students of the Anantapur Campus participate in the packing more than thirty thousand food packets of tamarind rice which are distributed every day during the 9 days of festivity. Along with food packets, an equal number of laddoos are packed separately by the Higher Secondary School students through the night so that it is ready for distribution the next day.
All of the 153 villages of the three mandals are covered during the 9 days. Totally fifty thousand households are given sarees and dhotis at the door step covering a radius of more 25 kms around Puttaparthi. This has been continuously going on since the year 2000 under the auspices of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust for the past 12 years uninterrupted.
