La visión del querido Swami (Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba) sonriendo, es una experiencia inolvidable. Una sola sonrisa es capaz de calmar, confortar, dar placer y extraer una sonrisa en reciprocidad. Y cuando se ríe, es tan contagiosa que las ondas parecen viajar a través de los corazones de todos los presentes, sin excepción. Su risa es todo corazón, al igual que la de un niño. Es una delicia verlo sonreír o reír. En las raras ocasiones cuando uno es testigo de él sonriendo y riendo, lo que se siente no se puede expresar!.
La serie de fotos, es acerca de una de esas ocasiones cuando Swami sonrió y se rió. En realidad comenzó con una sonrisa y luego avanzó a carcajadas.

Ocasión: Ensayo de Deportes los maestros
El 11 de enero de cada año somos testigos de la fiesta de los Deportes y Cultural de las instituciones educativas Sathya Sai. En el año 2000, como un regalo especial a Swami por su 75 cumpleaños, los profesores también decidieron unirse a los deportes. Cuando a Swami se le informó de los eventos que tendrán lugar, él estaba feliz y emocionado como un niño. Quería asistir a los ensayos también (como siempre).
Uno de los ensayos de los eventos mostrados era la variante de romper la piñata. El maestro que se presento para participar era el jovial y afable Prof.Anil Kumar.
Le vendaron los ojos y le dieron un palo en su mano. Tuvo que avanzar unos pasos 10-15 y romper una bolsa que colgaba de una cadena, golpeándola con un palo. Después de que él tuvo los ojos vendados, un estudiante suavemente le hizo dar 2-3 vueltas en circulo para 'confundirlo'. Entonces, cuando el Prof. Anil Kumar siguió hacia adelante balanceando el palo salvajemente en el aire, tratando de romper la bolsa, Swami comenzó a sonreír. El profesor dulce, comenzó a hacer expresiones muy intensas (en un intento de hacer reír a Swami) y comenzó a girar aún más salvajemente en el aire. Tuvo éxito y Swami comenzó a reír. Tuve la suerte de estar presente en la escena con mi cámara. La serie de fotos que he fotografiado es una de las mejores y más feliz de mi vida. Al igual que los 7 colores describen un hermoso arco iris, siete fotografías describen los diversos matices de la risa de Swami.
Agradezco al Prof. Anil Kumar por hacer reír a Swami tanto y estoy agradecido a Swami por permitirme hacer estas capturas para que toda la humanidad pueda disfrutarlas . Swami estaba riendo tan fuerte que en la última imagen, no se puede decir si se está riendo o llorando!. Permítanme asegurarles, Él se estaba riendo!

He visto al Prof. Anil Kumar hacer sonreír y reír Swami en todo tipo de situaciones a través de sus palabras y acciones. Pero, personalmente, siento que este fue su mejor esfuerzo!

The story behind this gallery...
The sight of dear Swami (Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba) smiling is an unforgettable one. A single smile is able to soothe, comfort, delight and extract a reciprocation smile. And when He laughs, it is so infectious that the ripples seem to travel through the hearts of everyone present without exception. His laughter is whole-hearted and like that of a child. It is a sheer delight to watch Him smile or laugh. On those rare occasions when one witnesses Him smiling and laughing, what one feels cannot be expressed!
The gallery to follow is about one such occasion when Swami smiled and laughed. He actually started off with a smile and then progressed to hearty laughter.
Date: 5th of January, 2000
Venue: Sri Sathya Sai Vidyagiri Stadium, Puttaparthi
Occasion: Rehearsal for the Teachers’ Sports
The 11th of January every year witnesses the Annual Sports and Cultural Meet of the Sathya Sai educational institutions. In the year 2000, as a special gift to Swami for His 75th Birthday, the teachers too decided to join in the sports. When Swami was told of the events to be held, He was happy and excited as a child. He wanted to attend the rehearsals too (as always). And when He came for the rehearsal, one of the events displayed was the variant of the Blind Man’s Buff.
The teacher who came forward to participate was the jovial and genial Prof.Anil Kumar. He was blindfolded and given a stick in hand. He had to move forward about 10-15 steps and break a pot that was hanging by a string, striking it with a stick. After he was blindfolded, a student gently made him turn 2-3 circles to ‘confuse’ him. Then as Prof. Anil Kumar went ahead swinging the stick wildly in the air, trying to break the pot, Swami began to smile. The sweet professor, began to make very vivid expressions (in an attempt to make Swami laugh) and began to swing even more wildly in thin air. He succeeded and Swami began to laugh.
I was lucky to be present at the scene with my camera. The series of photos that I shot is one of the best and happiest ever of my life. Just like the 7 colors describe a beautiful rainbow, seven photographs describe the various hues of Swami’s laughter.
I am grateful to Prof. Anil Kumar for making Swami laugh so much and grateful to Swami for allowing me to make these captures for all humanity to enjoy. Swami was laughing so hard that in the last picture, you cannot say whether He is laughing or crying! Let me assure you, He was laughing!

I have seen Prof. Anil Kumar make Swami smile and laugh in all kinds of situations through his words and actions. But personally, I feel this was his best effort!
