Maravillosa anécdota Sai - El Señor y el helado

Un día, hace muchos años, Swami distribuyo helados para los niños. La marca fue la crema J.OY helados, y fue un regalo de un devoto que era dueño de la empresa. Mientras que los niños estaban disfrutando del helado, Swami dio la vuelta como de costumbre, viendo a los niños cómo les gustaba el helado. Y de pronto le preguntó a un chico: "Muchacho, ¿qué crees que es Dios?" El niño se quedó desconcertado. Estaba inmerso totalmente en el disfrute de un helado, y Dios estaba, al menos en ese momento, lejos de su mente!

Swami le preguntó a otro niño  la misma pregunta, y parpadeó demasiado. Después de dibujar una respuesta en blanco un par de veces más, Swami sonrió y dijo lentamente: "Dios es dulce como el helado!" Los chicos se pusieron atentos. Swami continuó: "Dios es suave como el helado!" Por ahora, los niños habían dejado de comer, mientras que Swami continuó, "Dios es fresco como un helado!" Y luego el remate: "Él da la alegría, como el helado!"

Lo que es un juego encantador de palabras! 

Sabio Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, una vez declaró: "Sólo Dios puede hacer las cosas complicadas simple, tan simples, con el hecho de que incluso un niño pueda entender." ¡Qué verdad!

Wonderful Sai Anecdote - The Lord and Ice Cream

One day many years ago, Swami distributed ice cream to the boys. The brand name was JOY ice cream, and it was gifted by a devotee who owned the company. While boys were enjoying the ice cream, Swami went round as usual, asking the boys how they liked the ice cream. And then suddenly He asked a boy, "Boy what do you think God is like?" The boy was taken aback. He was fully immersed in enjoying ice cream, and God was, at least at that moment, far from his mind! 

Swami asked another boy the same question, and he too blinked. After drawing a blank response a few more times, Swami smiled and slowly said,"God is SWEET like ice cream!" The boys became attentive. Swami continued, "God is SOFT like ice cream!" By now, the boys had stopped eating, while Swami went on, "God is COOL like ice cream!" And then the punch line: "He gives JOY like ice cream!" 

What a delightful play on words! Sage Ramakrishna Paramahamsa once declared, "God alone can make complicated things simple, so simple in fact that even a child can understand." How very true!
