Los Bhajans, que han sido parte integral todos los días en las sesiones de Prashanti, tomaron un pequeño desvío, presentando hoy un innovador estilo en el canto de los bhajans, conocido como "Bhajans Sampradaya", como parte de las celebraciones de Onam 2011, en su segundo día, aquí en Prashanti, esta tarde.
El programa de la tarde, fue Sampradaya Bhajans por Sri Vinaya Chandra Menon. Sampradaya Bhajan es un tradicional canto de bhajans, muy popular en el sur de India, una tradición como su nombre indica, es transmitida desde los antepasados y se considera como el precursor de los conciertos de hoy en día, la música de Carnatic, ya que tiene una mezcla armoniosa de arte divino, y elementos de la música.
A partir de la invocación de las deidades principales, con su voz rica y melodiosa, haciéndose eco del Sai Kulwant Hall, Sri Menon invoco al Señor Supremo Bhagavan , con un "dhyana sloka ' Sada Sadswaroopam Sadgurum Sainatham ... antes de comenzar el programa con la canción Jaya Jaya Sai Namo ... Jaya Jaya Jagadisha Namo ...
Se fue ajustando la melodía dentro de la estructura de las normas de Carnatic, siguiendo un patrón de mezcla, el cantante versátil canto con ímpetu otras 12 composiciones, deleitando a Prashanti con devoción , sin dejar de ser él mismo, pero completamente absorto en el canto.
El mezclo canciones vernáculas en malayalam, tamil y algunos de los bhajans propios de Prashanti, como Vande Uma Nandanam ..., Amba Mandahasa Vadhani ..., Subramaniam Subramaniam etc ..
Sri Vinaya Chandra Menon es un artista entrenado en este modo de cantar, entrenado por la experiencia de varios Bhagavatars, y ha estado llevando a cabo esta particular forma de bhajans en varios templos, es decir, Tirupathi y Shabari Mala, etc .. Sri Menon fue acompañado por Natesan , Gururaj Murthy, Rajesh Menon, Menon Hari y Parvathi Menon en vocal, Ramakrisnna en armonio, Swaminathan en Mridangam y Vinayak Shankar en Dolki.
Al final de 50 minutos de sesión, los artistas y acompañantes recibieron ropas. Los Bhajans continuaron durante los siguientes diez minutos, a cargo de los estudiantes, antes del Mangala Arathi a las 18:00 hrs. Bendito laddu prasadam fue distribuido a todo el público.

Bhajans that has been an integral part of every day Prasanthi sessions took a slight detour today presenting an innovative style of bhajan singing known as 'Sampradaya Bhajans' as the ongoing Onam celebrations 2011 entered in its second day here in Prasanthi Nilayam this evening.
The programme for the evening was Sampradaya Bhajans by Sri Vinaya Chandra Menon. Sampradaya Bhajan is a traditional bhajan singing, more popular in South India, a tradition, as the name suggests, is handed down by one's ancestors and is considered to be the forerunner of modern day Carnatic music concerts, as it has a harmonious blending of the divine, art and music elements.
Beginning with invocation of the prime deities, with his rich and melodious voice echoing the Sai Kulwant Hall, Sri Menon invoked next The Supreme Lord Presiding Over the session, Beloved Bhagawan, with a 'dhyana sloka' Sada Sadswaroopam Sadgurum Sainatham...before commencing the programme with the song Jaya Jaya Sai Namo...Jaya Jaya Jagadisha Namo...
Adjusting the tune within the fabric of Carnatic rules, almost following a medley pattern, the versatile singer sung with elan another 12 compositions, regaling Prasanthi to greater devotional heights, while remaining himself completely engrossed in singing. His mixture of songs included vernacular songs in Malayalam and Tamil and some of Prasanthi's Own bhajans, namely, Vande Uma Nandanam..., Amba Mandahasa Vadhani..., Subramaniam Subramaniam etc...
Sri Vinaya Chandra Menon is a trained artiste in this mode of singing, trained under the expertise of variousBhagavatars, and has been performing this particular form of bhajan in various temples, namely Tirupathi and Shabari Mala etc...Sri Menon was accompanied by Natesan, Gururaj Murthy, Rajesh Menon, Hari Menon and Parvathi Menon in vocal, Ramakrisnna in Harmonium, Swaminathan in Mridangam and Shankar Vinayak in Dolki.
At the end of the 50 mts. session, the artistes and accompanists were felicitated with clothes. Bhajans by students continued for the next ten minutes before Mangala Arathi at 1800 hrs. Blessed laddu prasadam was distributed for the entire audience.
