El cielo estaba cubierto esta tarde, pero no para impedir o desalentar el espíritu de las actuales celebraciones de Onam 2011.
Esta tarde, en la víspera de Thiruvonam, hubo una ofrenda musical por el niño prodigio Mahadevan S., de 12 años, de Kerala, que tuvo la suerte de llevar a cabo varias presentaciones a través de la India. A partir de la invocación Ekadantam , el artista siguió cantando por los próximos 45 minutos, presento seis piezas de Carnatic.
Algunas de las composiciones como Paripalayamam ..., Sri Sathya Narayanam ..., Peetambharam ... etc, todas fueron cantadas con interludios de aalaaps . El artista sobresalió estallando en largos aalaaps como interludios, con su voz tierna, y con gran destreza .
La sesión de 45 minutos fue seguida por otra representación, un solo, por el artista para muchos familiar en las celebraciones de Onam en la ultima década, el director musical de Kerala Sri TS Radhakrishnan.
Los artistas fueron acompañados por Ananda Padmanabhan en violín, Uduppi Sri Krishna en Mridangam, Shankar Vinayakam en armonio, Sahayak en Tabla etc.
Los Bhajans continuaron durante los siguientes diez minutos, terminando con Subramaniam ... Subramaniam en la propia voz de oro de Bhagaván.
Los Artistas fueron agasajados con ropas, y prasadam fue distribuido a todo el conjunto, antes del Mangala Arath,i ofrecido a las 18:00 horas.
Thiruvonam, el día que marca el regreso del antiguo emperador Mahabali, se celebrará en Prashanti mañana. Con los años, Prasanthi ha visto muchas sesiones de Onam en vivo, donde invariablemente, Bhagavan se ocupaba de los devotos del Estado con un discurso vernáculo inicial de saludo, disfrutando de la grandeza del emperador Mahabali.

The sky was overcast this evening, but not to deter or dampen the spirit of ongoing Onam 2011 celebrations.
This evening, on the eve of Thiruvonam, there was a musical offering by Child Prodigy S. Mahadevan, a 12 year old from Kerala, who was fortunate to perform in many stages across the India. Beginning with the invocatory songEkadantam Bhaje, the little artiste went on singing for the next 45 minutes, presenting six carnatic pieces.
Some of the other compositions rendered were Paripalayamam..., Sri Sathya Narayanam..., Peetambharam... etc. all sung with interludes of aalaaps presented with aplombl. The blooming artiste did excel bursting into lengthy aalaapsas interludes, in his tender voice, with great dexterity infusing life into the session.
The 45 minute session was followed by another rendering, a solo, by the familar artiste during many an Onam celebration over the decade, Music Director from Kerala Sri TS Radhakrishnan.
The artistes were accompanied by Ananda Padmanabhan in violin, Uduppi Sri Krishna in Mridangam, Shankar Vinayakam in Harmonium, Sahayak on Tabla etc.
Bhajans continued for the next ten minutes that ended with Subramaniam...Subramaniam in Bhagawan's Own Golden Voice.
Artistes were felicitated with clothes and prasadam was distributed to the entire assemblage before Mangala Arathi offering at 1800 hrs.
Thiruvonam, the day that is marked with the return of erstwhile emperor Mahabali, will be celebrated in Prasanthi Nilayam tomorrow. Over the years Prasanthi has seen many such live Onam sessions, where in, invariably, Bhagawan would address the devotees from the state with an initial vernacular greeting and reveling on the greatness of the emperor Mahabali.
